I had breakfast buffet at Premier Hotel Tsubaki. They use plenty of ingredients from Hokkaido! The breakfast buffet includes dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients, allowing you to enjoy a delicious breakfast. They offer Zangi (fried chicken), bacon, shumai, omelets, mozzarella and salmon, prosciutto, saury, tarako (cod roe), Matsumae pickles, tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), hamburger, salad, etc. The Zangi, which is Hokkaido-style fried chicken, had a light seasoning and was easy to eat. The bacon and shumai were just right for breakfast in terms of fat and flavor. Moreover, the bacon, shumai, and sausages are all from Hokkaido! The tamagoyaki uses eggs from Yuni-cho in Hokkaido. It had a nice dashi flavor. The Matsumae pickles are a traditional Hokkaido preserved food made with salmon roe and kelp. Of course, it goes well with rice. You can also enjoy an omelet cooked right in front of you. The omelet was creamy inside with cheese and ham, very satisfying. The combination of mozzarella and salmon was excellent, with just the right amount of saltiness. There are also various types of bread, making it a great choice for bread lovers. Other familiar breakfast buffet items such as sausages and scrambled eggs were also available. For Japanese dishes, they offer tarako, tamagoyaki, Matsumae pickles, and simmered dishes, all of which pair perfectly with white rice. Personally, I really enjoyed the saury. It was probably grilled with miso paste, as it had a nice aroma.
