This is a cafe located in my favorite hotel, Porto M International. It was one of the purposes of this trip. It is located on the opposite side of the 4th floor hotel entrance. The cafe has a lot of books as seen on their website, and as the name suggests, it is spacious with single seats, making it enjoyable for small groups as well. I opted for the daily selection (3 items from the case and 1 drink) that I was looking forward to. I thought it would only be cakes, but there were also quiches and croissants. Since I had just eaten ramen, I felt like having something sweet... so I decided to order all 6 items to share with my mother. The cakes were cute. I think my favorite was the Mont Blanc (left in the front in the photo). Next to it was the pistachio and berry cake (center in the front in the photo), and on the right was the strawberry and chocolate cake. The top left was a chocolate cake with Earl Grey cream, and the one in the middle was raspberry? Sorry, I can't remember well, and the square white one was a shortcake. Especially the pistachio and Earl Grey cakes were delicious. They were not too sweet or too refreshing... The pistachio and cranberry had a strong flavor, but it wasn't overwhelming, and it went well with the iced coffee. The iced coffee I ordered was very delicious and smooth, and I was told that they brew it with cold water for 24 hours. Cold brew coffee, no wonder it's so smooth. Since it is located in the international terminal with the hotel, there was only one other customer, and it was quite quiet. If you are worried about moving away from the bustling domestic terminal for the first time, don't worry, as a wonderful space awaits you in the international terminal. You can also see paintings at the hotel's front desk. I recommend it to those who want to spend a leisurely time at the airport and make their trip memorable. Next time, I would like to try the hamburger... Thank you for the meal.

Cafe at New Chitose Airport's international terminal. [Set of 3 cakes and a drink] for 2,000 yen. Quiche, Earl Grey mousse, Fromage something, and coffee. The cakes were delicious, not too sweet. However, I was told at the hotel that they would take care of parking for 3 hours, but I ended up having to pay for parking as usual. Hmm... (´･_･`)

This is my third visit to spend a blissful time at New Chitose Airport. The Afternoon Tea Set (including tax, 3,993 yen) that returned this month is simply amazing. The variety of dishes is overwhelming, offering a flood of luxury and deliciousness. I recommend skipping lunch before going. While all the dishes are delicious, here are some that stood out to me: From the Salad Plate: - Chicken Ham: Moist, tender, and flavorful. - Homemade Smoked Salmon: No fishy taste or smell, with a subtle saltiness and rich flavor. From the Warm Dishes: - Raisin Scones: Delicious on their own, but even better with cream. From the Glass Desserts: - Mont Blanc: Perfect balance of chestnut cream and meringue, not too sweet. From the Petit Fours: - Macarons: Fruity ones are tangy, chocolate ones are rich. The dishes and desserts are served as soon as they are ready, ensuring freshness. Each item is well-executed and the overall balance is excellent, making it easy to enjoy every bite. The menu changes seasonally. Drinks are served in cups, allowing you to try various options. Reservations are required at least three days in advance, with only three groups accepted per day. You can easily make a reservation on the hotel's website. Don't miss out!

The café has a solid appearance that may seem intimidating at first, but the cute and friendly staff make you feel at ease. The atmosphere is quiet with lovely books to read and comfortable sofas to relax on. I tried the popular French toast and café latte, which cost ¥1,742 (tax included). The dishes and silverware were stylish and the French toast was fluffy and delicious on its own. It was served with caramel mousse, vanilla ice cream, berry sauce, and Anping honey in a beautiful dish. The café latte came with cute latte art. The spacious layout of the café allows for a peaceful and enjoyable time, perfect for a date, a small girls' gathering, a meeting, or even working quietly alone. All tables have power outlets, making it convenient for work. In times like these, it's important to have a space where you can relax and breathe deeply. The café is currently not crowded, making it a safe and recommended choice, but it deserves to be more widely known. I look forward to trying their new light meals soon!

I was looking for a restaurant where I could enjoy kaiseki cuisine in Chitose when I happened to stumble upon it on the internet. I fell in love with the photos posted on the hotel's website and decided to go there with a friend. We entered around 11 a.m. on Sunday and found the place to be quiet, with a relaxed atmosphere. The cafe was designed like a library, with books on culture, art, and famous Japanese authors tastefully arranged on the walls. We ordered French toast and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate had a smooth texture with a hint of citrus fragrance. It was not too sweet and paired well with the French toast. The French toast came with caramel-flavored whipped cream, four types of berry sauces, locally produced honey, and vanilla ice cream on a separate plate. Everything except the honey was homemade. Each component paired perfectly with the French toast. I was very satisfied and initially thought I wouldn't need to visit again for a while, but for some reason, the next day, I found myself craving it again.

Hotel Portom International Hokkaido inside New Chitose Airport has opened in the international terminal. This was our first visit to the café inside the hotel, and we ordered the following items: - French toast set for 1,500 yen - Chocolate mousse Café Liegeois for 545 yen It must be tough opening during the COVID-19 pandemic on February 1st. Normally, it would be difficult for us to visit, but we found out that they have limited-time special offers. There is a special plan eligible for the Chitose City citizen support voucher, which includes a French toast and drink set for 1,500 yen, making it more affordable. This offer is available until the end of October. We inquired and found out that even if you are not a Chitose City resident, you can still dine without staying at the hotel. Just make a reservation. Since the chef and staff may not always be present, we made an early phone reservation as the website only allows reservations from 11:00 onwards. All seats have sofas with tables and power outlets. Unfortunately, the lunch menu is suspended for the time being. The French toast was beautifully presented with vanilla ice cream, caramel-flavored whipped cream, berry sauce, and honey from Anping. It was sweet and moist even without any toppings. The French toast felt like a dessert, and we also tried a chocolate cake with mango and fresh chocolate for around 1,000 yen. It was beautifully presented, and my companion enjoyed the small macarons. After leaving the café, we were invited to see the hotel's entrance. Inside the hotel, we were guided by the hotel staff to areas like the closed shop, tea room, and art displays featuring Hokusai, which foreign visitors would appreciate. The dress code is casual, but I wore heavier makeup than usual for the visit. Overall, it was a unique opportunity, and we enjoyed our meal.

There were many stylish and delicious sweets that looked great! The prices are somewhat high, but it's worth going! You can get free refills of Earl Grey tea!

The cake was delicious, but I didn't like the seasoning of the French toast.

I was able to have a relaxing tea time with my high school friends after a long time. The menu changes with the seasons, so you can enjoy the taste of each time of year. It was an autumn afternoon tea, and although I've never been there, it felt like I was in the Alsace-Lorraine region. Each taste was really good. It was nice to be able to enjoy both sweet and savory flavors, like the Schuecroute (which was delicious). My personal favorite was the chestnut pie with a crispy crust and the deep, sweet flavor of the fruit tart. The price was average for an afternoon tea, but being able to enjoy such delicious food in a luxury hotel until you are full, without being rushed, was definitely worth it! It would have been even better if they offered cakes for takeout as souvenirs. But if you eat everything, you'll be really full. You might end up craving miso soup after all that butter. I think it would be a challenge to make a reservation for dinner at this place after this (^_^;)
