Wandering new curry mania / rookie ramen mania, a solo middle-aged man. This is a memo-like review by the old man. If you want concise information about the restaurant and food, please move on to other people's reviews around here. After eating ramen, my throat was a bit dry. So, before heading home, let's stop by here. I also have some deposit balance. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted by decorations of "full bloom pink". Huh? "Cherry Blossom Fair" ... It's still a long way off in Hokkaido, but it seems like Tokyo has been having warm days. When I was in Tokyo, around mid-March, the cold wind would subside, and warm days would increase, and by the end of March, it wouldn't get cold at night. I would feel like taking a leisurely stroll, intoxicated by the fully bloomed Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms where you couldn't see the branches. This was a new sensation for Hokkaido residents. In Sapporo, cherry blossoms (Ezo Yamazakura) usually bloom around the beginning of Golden Week and are in full bloom by the middle of Golden Week. This year, they are forecasted to bloom before Golden Week. This season, with cold days and heavy snow, makes us long even more for a warm and bright spring. Not just cherry blossoms, but also plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, shibazakura, crocus, and narcissus will all bloom at once, adding "various colors" to the "ash-colored scenery". Azaleas might be a bit delayed. (At the old man's parents' house, though) Now, Doutor's "Cherry Blossom Fair" not only had cherry blossom-themed drinks but also a variety of cherry blossom-themed sweets. On this day, I went to take care of necessary procedures based on the content of a certain large company's website, but it seems that the website's content was insufficient and "misleading". I double-checked at two places just to be sure. Huh? What's going on? Oh well, even if I struggle, the situation doesn't change. Oh well. I was also thirsty, but I wanted to relax by eating some sweets. So, I'll try the set menu. Cake set: Ice Cafe Latte (M) and Sakura Mont Blanc, along with a chewy sakura dorayaki, for a total of 1,014 yen including tax. The service was quite cool. The service seemed to soften a bit when the next customer came in. Oh well, maybe they just don't like me... Why? I ordered and it was served in about 3 minutes. The cakes are kept in a case next to the cash register. I didn't usually order them, so I wasn't looking at them. They took them out for me. For the dorayaki, I had to take it myself from the tray in front. The previous customer was a solo male and a group of two women. The next customer was two solo males. For takeout, there was a group of two women and a group of three men and women. The seats in the store are separated, which is nice. I refreshed my dry mouth with the Ice Cafe Latte. I drank almost half of it in one go. Well, the taste was the usual. Now, let's try the "Sakura Mont Blanc". It's slightly crooked in shape. A cute visual. According to Doutor's website, it has a pie crust with a moist cherry and strawberry filling baked on top, topped with sakura whipped cream, wrapped with sakura Mont Blanc cream around it, and sprinkled with cherry blossom crunch on top. I hadn't checked the website at the store yet, so I started by cutting it to understand its composition. Huh? The pie crust was unexpectedly thick and hard to cut. The shallow cup-like pie crust contained a cherry and strawberry filling that was like a pound cake, or rather like making country ma'am softer, with a cherry blossom and strawberry flavor. I thought it was a cherry blossom flavor, but there was another taste... Is it strawberry flavored? The whipped cream had a cherry blossom flavor alone. Not too light, not too heavy, just the right richness. This cream and the cherry blossom and strawberry filling made the cake...
