This restaurant is located about a 10-minute walk straight from Hiranai Station. From the outside, it seemed like a "intriguing but intimidating" place, so I hadn't visited for years. However, after hearing a strong recommendation from a friend, my wife and I decided to give it a try this time. We made a reservation in advance as it was necessary, and when we arrived around 7 pm, the place was fully booked. Good thing we made a reservation. Although it is labeled as an "izakaya," the main focus of this restaurant is yakiniku (Japanese BBQ). However, they also offer a variety of side dishes, so some people come here just to drink without having yakiniku. On this day, we ordered without looking at the prices. - Hormone (380 yen) ★★★★★ - Bean Sprout Namul (200 yen) ★★★☆ - Agedashi Tofu (350 yen) ★★★★ - Pork Cartilage (400 yen) ★★★★★ - Umami (350 yen) ★★★★★ - Beef Sagari (680 yen) ★★★★★ - Grilled Liver (550 yen) ★★★★ - Mori Soba (550 yen) ★★★★★ - Milk Grilled Potatoes (550 yen) ★★★★ - Pig's Feet ★★★ We also ordered drinks, and the total for two people was around 8000 yen, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. This place is a gem and we plan to come back regularly to try out all the menu items. The standout dish here is the Hormone.

Arrived at 7:00 PM on Saturday with a reservation for 2 people. The restaurant was almost full and bustling. It had been about a year and a half since my last visit, and I was surprised by the changes, as the neighboring dining place had been replaced by an Indian-style BBQ izakaya. It caught my interest. There were the restaurant owner and two female staff members. The draft beer was as delicious as ever, served in ice-cold mugs. The food we ordered (excluding tax) included: - Genghis Khan (tare flavor) for 400 yen - Beef kalbi for 600 yen - Chicken thigh for 350 yen - Assorted vegetables for 400 yen - Pork belly for 400 yen - Pork cartilage for 400 yen This time, we wanted to have yakiniku on a shichirin grill! Everything was reasonably priced and delicious, especially the eggplant in the vegetable assortment. We also had green peppers, onions, leeks, and shiitake mushrooms. The cartilage we ordered towards the end was quite a large portion, but we managed to finish it. We also had: - Bean sprout namul (200 yen) x2 - Chilled tomato (250 yen) Our usual favorites. The namul was exceptionally delicious, and my companion even had seconds. We also ordered: - Mori soba (large portion) for 550 yen + ? We ordered two servings, which was a lot, but we could request a large portion. The price for the large portion was unknown. The thick and dark-colored countryside soba was delicious as always, but the broth was so flavorful that it became even more delicious! It was of a quality that you wouldn't expect from an izakaya. I could open a soba restaurant with this (laughs). Once again, I was satisfied with the delicious food. The atmosphere was calming and pleasing. The bill came out to 5000 yen per person, which was cheaper than usual. I will definitely come back again!

I was drawn in by the bright red sign shining in the light, emitting a sweet and savory smoke from the side. The appearance of the restaurant is memorable, as I have passed by it many times. I had been curious about it after seeing it in a search for "soba" on Tabelog... Upon entering, I was greeted by the amber-colored walls and the greasy smell of oil soaked into the floor. Ah, it must be a charcoal grill restaurant. This atmosphere may not be to everyone's taste, but I personally love it. It seemed like a place where regular customers gather and everyone was relaxing comfortably. I arrived around 6 pm, and more and more customers kept coming in. I tried the beef chuck flap, which was delicious, as well as the trachea cartilage, Genghis Khan, hormone, shrimp, boiled peanuts, tomatoes, and pickled radish. It was my first time visiting, but it didn't feel unfamiliar. I used to frequent the branch in Toyohira... The only disappointment was that they didn't have chicken white liver. I ended up ordering pickled radish and boiled peanuts to accompany my beer. The greasiness of the menu bothered me a bit, but if you're going to worry about that, you might as well not enter in the first place. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at 7:00 PM on Saturday. Reservation for 2 people. About 60% full. Visited after 8 months with the usual companion. It's cold tonight, but the first beer is ice-cold (laughs). This time, we ordered: - Bean sprout namul (200 yen) x3 - Chicken neck (400 yen) - Beef tongue (690 yen) - Rolled omelette with broth (400 yen) These are our usual favorites. - Sliced raw sea bream (580 yen) Tried it for the first time and it's delicious! It's lightly seared and has a savory taste. The ponzu sauce on the side also goes well, but it's good on its own too. - Menchi katsu (550 yen) Quite big and tasty! The onion inside is large and adds a nice texture. - Genghis Khan (with sauce) We usually order it with salt, so this time we tried it with sauce. It has a nostalgic taste. - Pork cartilage (400 yen) Was curious about the difference from "umai" but here it's cut in bigger pieces compared to the thin slices there. It's crunchy and delicious! - Asparagus and bacon butter sauté (480 yen) Thick asparagus and thick bacon sautéed with salt and pepper, served with mayo or half-boiled egg. - Soba noodles in broth (550 yen) We usually have "mori soba" as the last dish, so this time we had "kake" soba. The tempura crumbs add a nice crunch! It's great for a cold day, but if you want to enjoy the aroma of soba, "mori" is better. The total bill was 6000 yen per person, which is about the same as usual. This place is always relaxing. Will definitely come back again!

I have been to this familiar restaurant at least 50 times. Everything I eat there is delicious. They have yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) as well as soba noodles for dessert. The yakiniku sauce and salad dressing are both to my liking. The plates for the salads and side dishes are surprisingly stylish, which you wouldn't expect from the appearance of the restaurant from the outside. The owner is also very friendly, and the overall service is good. The ginger pork belly is a dish that you just can't stop eating, and I think it would be great as a set meal option. At first glance, the restaurant may seem intimidating to new customers, but I highly recommend it. If they had sunken kotatsu-style seating and became non-smoking, it would be the perfect restaurant in my opinion. However, be aware that the smell can linger, so it's best to avoid wearing fancy clothes!

Cheap and delicious restaurant! Be prepared for a bit of meat oil and smell on your clothes and hair. Recommended dish for closing is either the soba noodles with broth or the soba noodles with toppings, but the toppings are better.

Visited on Saturday at 6:00 PM with a reservation for two. The other seats were also reserved. It had been 9 months since my last visit with my usual companion. On such a hot day, I wanted a cold beer and some grilled meat! This time, even the second beer was served in a chilled mug. Can you tell from the photos...? We ordered: - Chilled tomatoes (250 yen) - Bean sprout namul (200 yen) x2 - Chicken wings tempura (430 yen) - Genghis Khan (salt flavor) (400 yen) - "Umami" (300 yen) - Beef tongue (690 yen) - Chicken neck (400 yen) - Mori soba (550 yen) x2 It's natural for our orders to become regular. The "beef tongue" we ordered this time was delicious! The "Umami" we tried for the first time was listed as "pig throat cartilage" on the menu, but it was more like regular pig cartilage. But there's also a menu item for "pig cartilage" so... well, it's fine because I like it (laughs). The portion was quite generous. The "mori soba" as a finisher was also delicious! It had a good kick of wasabi. Once again, I was satisfied with the deliciousness. I think it was around 7,000 yen per person? I don't remember exactly (laughs). This place really helps me relax. I'll be back again!

Arrived at the restaurant on Sunday (eve of a public holiday) right after opening at 5:30 pm. There was one group of customers ahead of us. It had been 10 months since our last visit. I was with my usual dining companion. We were informed that there was a reservation, so we were seated at the counter. It was my first time sitting at the counter after many years of visiting. The rest of the counter seats were also reserved. More customers arrived steadily, and those who came after 8 pm were being turned away as the restaurant was fully booked. I had never seen it this crowded before. The square stools at the counter had drawers underneath where you could store your jacket. We started with draft beer. The first glass was ice-cold. I just realized that they don't serve appetizers here. This time, we ordered: - Beef tongue (690 yen) - Chicken neck (400 yen) - Bean sprout namul (200 yen) - Mori soba (550 yen) The beef tongue had a larger portion than usual, but the quality was not as good. The soba was still delicious! You can see a "100% soba noodle-making machine" from the counter. I didn't know they had such a machine! (laughs) - Pork belly toro (400 yen) - Chicken wings tempura (430 yen) - Rolled omelette with dashi (400 yen) - Flying fish sashimi (580 yen) - Chilled tomato (250 yen) The rolled omelette was soft and flavorful with a nice dashi taste! The tempura I tried for the first time was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and deliciously tender! It came with a sauce, but it was also tasty on its own, like salted chicken. I learned from the board next to the counter that they also serve sashimi here, which I couldn't see from the tatami area. The flying fish sashimi was crunchy and delicious! I was satisfied once again this time. The bill came to around 6000 yen per person. Since they don't offer all-you-can-drink, it can't be helped. I will definitely come back again!

In the old restaurant, the smoke from the charcoal grill is billowing. This place mainly serves charcoal-grilled meat, with items like offal and chicken being affordable. Beef tends to be on the pricier side. They offer menu items like neck, harami, and nakaochi which are different from the usual cuts. The meat is pre-seasoned, so it's delicious even without dipping sauce. There is sauce on the table, but just a little drizzle is enough. I noticed other customers ordering soba last time, so I decided to try it this time. The soba has a good texture, a handmade feel, and a unique taste. You can add green onions and wasabi according to your preference. The harami had a great flavor. I felt that the meat's deliciousness really stood out. It's nice to eat while the smoke is billowing around you. They provide ice for emergencies if the grill catches fire, so don't hesitate to use it to put out the flames.

Arrived at 6:00 pm at the end of the year in 2016. There were 2 groups of customers before us and 1 person, followed by 3 more groups. This is one of my favorite izakayas that I have been visiting for about 20 years. I'm not sure how long they have been in business, but it can be considered a long-standing establishment. The interior of the restaurant is not exactly clean, but the atmosphere of this rundown place is comforting. It's a 10-minute walk from Hiragishi Station. This time, we ordered: - 'Beef tongue' (690 yen) - 'Beef skirt steak' (630 yen) - 'Chicken neck' (400 yen) - 'Assorted vegetables' (400 yen) - 'Deep-fried squid legs' (300 yen) - 'Bean sprout namul' (200 yen) - 'Genghis Khan (salt flavor)' (400 yen) - 'Soba noodles' (550 yen) The meat dishes are cheap but all very delicious! The ventilation is not great, so when 3 groups use the charcoal grills at the same time, the smoke fills the room. The 'bean sprout namul' has a perfect seasoning that makes you want to order more. And the soba noodles here are also delicious! They are thick, with a rich dark color, and have a smooth texture that I haven't experienced elsewhere. As always, I finish the meal with this. I don't remember how much I spent, but I always end up spending close to 5,000 yen alone because I drink a lot of beer. It's a great place! I will definitely come back again!

I have been to this restaurant several times. It is located near a live house called "Flyer Park," where my friend performed live and we would stop by for a chat afterwards. At first, I was hesitant because the exterior looked very Showa era, but I didn't mind the atmosphere. We always went late, so we could always get a seat. My friend recommended the "Dashimaki Tamago" and "Juwari Soba," and they blew me away! The Dashimaki Tamago was the best I've had in over 10 years. It's a must-try! As for the Juwari Soba, the quality for the price is unbeatable. It has a great texture and flavor. I also often order the charcoal-grilled chicken, which is incredibly delicious. And the best part is, even with a few beers, it never costs more than 3,000 yen! It's a great deal. Another day, a different friend boasted about knowing a delicious restaurant and invited me here. The beer was ice-cold and refreshing. We ordered a lot of beef and ended up staying for quite a while, so the bill was a bit higher that day. We went early that day, so we were able to get a seat, but it quickly filled up with customers. It seems to get busy on weekends. Thank you for the delicious meal! I will definitely be back again!

====================2014/8 revisit==================== ▼Ordered items ◎4 beers ◎Fried eggplant ◎Fried chicken cartilage ◎Sardine sashimi ◎Fried chicken skin ◎Rolled omelette with broth ◎Asparagus tempura ◎Somen noodles ◎Specialty Juwari soba We had all this and it came to 5,040 yen for two people! Around 2,500 yen per person, cheap! By the way, I didn't check the price when I went to Juumanbariki before... I think that's because I trust that it's good and not expensive. As always, Juumanbariki was bustling. We went early and managed to get a seat, so if you want to go for sure, make a reservation! There are many solo diners at the counter. Regulars like local older ladies? Or young office workers... Tatami seating has group of older men or families with elementary school kids. Table seating has groups of men and women. I'll definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal! I like restaurants that are a bit rough but delicious. Oh, sorry for saying rough. I mean it in the sense that they have a long-established atmosphere. It's that kind of place, so it gives off a vibe of having plenty of regular customers. I recommend the rolled omelette! Also, it's "delicious". You cook it on a shichirin grill. It has a texture like cartilage (I forgot which part). The tachiten (chicken skewers) also have many fans (unfortunately, I'm not a fan of chicken skewers so I can't eat them). And the Juwari soba for finishing. If you're curious, muster up the courage and try going in. It may be crowded and you might not get a seat, so think of it as a chance if you do get in. You'll definitely want to go again!

It's not a heavy drinking place, but more of a casual spot to have some drinks and snacks. The exterior and interior have a unique retro vibe, with old-fashioned wallpaper and menu boards. Despite the slightly dingy appearance, these types of places often serve delicious food, so I had high hopes. The grill looked quite worn out, but it added to the charm. We ordered chicken neck hormone, delicious pork belly, tender lamb Genghis Khan, salted radish salad, mixed tempura, and a large onigiri. The grilled items had generous portions for the price and were satisfying. The Genghis Khan was surprisingly tasty without any unpleasant odor. The izakaya menu was standard fare, with the tempura being average, but the vegetable tempura had a good variety. The onigiri was large. Lastly, we had some soba noodles as a finishing touch. The hand-cut soba noodles served after ordering seemed to be a specialty of the restaurant. It was a refreshing end to the meal after the grilled meat. The soba noodles were good, but the dipping sauce could use some improvement. Overall, it's a convenient and casual spot for locals to enjoy food and drinks.

A somewhat old-fashioned izakaya located a little away from the station, where you can also enjoy yakiniku. The inside of the restaurant is filled with smoke and a slightly dirty smell, giving off a sense of a long-established place. There are counter seats lined up and a large hall-like table seating area. The recommended yakiniku is definitely the middle cut, which is very delicious. The kalbi was a bit tough, but the middle cut was really tasty. The chicken wings were simply deep-fried and seasoned with salt, making you want to grill them as they are. Although plum wine was not listed on the menu, it was available, which was a pleasant surprise. You can also eat soba made from 100% buckwheat flour. It's a mysterious restaurant where all the recommended dishes were tempting, but it's a place to enjoy yakiniku for sure.

Located along the Shiraisshi Nakanojima-dori in Hiragishi, this restaurant specializes in yakiniku and izakaya dishes. While their main focus is on horumon and yakiniku, they also promote their juwari soba. The side menu is extensive, making it difficult to determine their main specialty, but that's part of the charm. Despite a possible slight increase in prices, it remains an affordable and delicious spot, ranking within the top 3 of "my personally recommended dirty but delicious restaurants." The interior has a well-used charm, with a smoky appearance from the grill and a nostalgic atmosphere. The steak bowl, although more like a beef kalbi or bara bowl, offers a delicious combination of meat, sauce, and rice. The smoky seven-tiered grill adds to the experience. The menu is reasonably priced, with beer served in mugs for 380 yen, and horumon and yakiniku dishes starting from the 300 yen range. The side dishes are equally affordable. The freshly made soba is another highlight, made from scratch upon ordering. The strong texture and delicious flavor make it a must-try. The restaurant's atmosphere, with its smoky grill and nostalgic setting, adds to the overall dining experience.

It was quite close to my place but it was my first time visiting. I checked the reviews on Tabelog beforehand and tried the nakaochi, harami and other yakiniku dishes, kasube no nikogori, dashimaki tamago, and juwari soba. The beer was ice cold and delicious, and it went perfectly with the yakiniku and everything was delicious! Especially the dashimaki tamago! For only 400 yen, the quality and quantity were amazing! It was the best dashimaki tamago I've ever had. The soba was also really delicious! The service was great too. I've definitely decided to visit again! o(^▽^)o✨

I always passed by this restaurant and was curious, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I entered, I noticed that it was crowded with customers, so I thought it must be a popular place. Looking at the menu, the first thing that caught my attention was the affordable prices! At first, I thought it might be a cheap izakaya based on the prices, but the quality, quantity, and taste of the food exceeded the prices! We ordered hormone, chicken genghis khan, tofu salad, fried potatoes, chicken karaage, onigiri, and many more dishes... The alcohol also went down smoothly! The meat dishes are cooked on a shichirin grill, and for the price of 400 yen, the value for money is amazing! I ended up eating more than usual and stayed longer than usual! The fried potatoes were cooked perfectly. You can enjoy both yakiniku and izakaya menus, and everything is delicious. Plus, it's close to my home! I could come here every day! It's been a while since I gave a perfect score! The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was great. The only regret is that I couldn't try the soba as I was already full, but I will definitely come back for a rematch. Thank you for the meal! Next time, I will take some photos!

There used to be a cheap izakaya that I frequented during my student days in the Hiragishi area. Now, there is a cheap yakiniku restaurant that reminds me of the old favorite spot. It is located quite far from Hiragishi Street, towards the Minami-Sapporo area, so the location is not ideal. Despite this, I heard from a friend that it is always crowded. The interior is not very clean, probably due to the old building, but both men and women customers visit. The Genghis Khan salt grilled on the shichirin is surprisingly delicious. The horumon (offal) is also well seasoned. Both dishes are around 400 yen per plate. Very cheap! The draft beer is Asahi Super Dry, which is not my favorite, but it was only 380 yen per glass. A rare price these days. I might not be able to visit frequently due to the location, but I might go back occasionally.
