I arrived at the cafe around 2:00 PM in April 2023. There was one group of customers before me and no customers after me. I came to this cafe that I had been curious about for a while. I ordered the Chocolate Banana Set (hot) and the Chiffon Set (hot). You can choose between iced coffee or hot coffee with the set. The atmosphere inside the cafe was nice with dim lighting. There was only one lady handling everything by herself. They warm the coffee cup before serving. The coffee was hot and had a bit of bitterness with a hint of acidity. The Chocolate Banana Crepe was wrapped like a burrito and had ice cream and bananas inside. Surprisingly, it also came with two crackers. The interior was stylish and the towel had a nice scent. Overall, it was a very nice cafe experience.

Well, well, we visited again this year, and this time my daughter came along. I ordered a "juliet," my son ordered a "rubble," and my daughter ordered an "ebifurai set." When I reminded my son that he had ordered a "rubble" before, he couldn't remember (laughs). We enjoyed our favorite meat spaghetti before savoring it slowly. My daughter's ebifurai was quite big, around 15-16 cm long, and quite juicy. The set came with a choice of coffee or ice cream, and she chose the ice cream. The ebifurai made a crunchy sound as she ate it. The juliet had a slightly sour aftertaste, which wasn't bad. Hmm, I wonder if it would go well with pizza or hot sandwich? Thank you for the meal!

The first snow has fallen, but it's warm this year. Once again, I went on a solo cafe-hopping adventure, leaving my mother behind. My son seems to have come along as a sponsor since there is some distance between us (laughs). He's quite cunning. I enjoy it too, so it's all good (* ̄∇ ̄*). I ordered a "L'Noir" and my son ordered a "Louis XIII". The presentation with the pot definitely adds a touch of elegance, don't you think? The "L'Noir" had a slightly warm temperature, maybe because it's getting colder outside. It had an American-style taste, a bit light, but easy to drink with a slight bitterness and a hint of acidity afterwards. It might be my favorite. As for the "Louis XIII", I tried a bit that my son gave me and noticed a unique scent. Like a floral, fruity smell, maybe because it's a French roast? It had a strong bitterness, but the aftertaste was not bad. It's a flavor that would go well with something sweet. Thanks for the meal!

Once again, went on a date with my son (lol). This time, we ordered "ルーヴル" for my son and "ロミオ" for myself. We also ordered the "ミートスパゲッティー" which we really liked. "ルーヴル" had more bitterness than acidity. It made me crave for a cake with a good balance of bitterness and sweetness. On the other hand, "ロミオ" had more acidity than bitterness. It seemed like it would leave a nice aftertaste when paired with spaghetti or greasy dishes. The coffee this time came with tea pots, so my son was able to drink it too. As we continue to visit more cafes, our coffee bean collection keeps growing and our storage space is reaching its limit. As a mother who hopes my son finishes one type of coffee before buying the next, I find myself constantly wishing for it... (Even though he ends up buying more without me noticing...)

Visited the restaurant on September 23, 2018, after lunch with a friend. The purpose was to try the chocolate parfait that I have recently been obsessed with. The place is known for its delicious coffee, but I had never tried their parfaits before, so this time I only ordered parfaits. - Chocolate Parfait 680 yen - Fruit Parfait 780 yen We ordered different parfaits to make it more interesting. While waiting, I looked around the place. The exterior and interior were both made of bricks and looked impressive. It had a European castle-like feel, but the decorations were unique and eclectic. The parfaits arrived while we were exploring. The chocolate parfait had whipped cream, chocolate ice cream, cornflakes, and vanilla ice cream on top. The whipped cream was a bit heavy, but the ice cream and chocolate sauce were just right, so it wasn't overly sweet. The fruit parfait looked luxurious. It had whipped cream, strawberry sorbet, cornflakes, and vanilla ice cream on top. There were also fruits with the skin on, making it a bit challenging to eat. The whipped cream ended up feeling heavy as well.

About 20 years ago, I visited this café once and recently came back after a long time. I have become a coffee enthusiast and now enjoy drinking freshly ground coffee at home with my son. I wanted to experience the atmosphere of a café where you can choose beans, have them ground, and enjoy a freshly brewed cup served by a barista, but unfortunately, there are no such places in town. Nevertheless, I was glad to revisit this café that I liked before. My son ordered a "mendel" coffee, while I chose a "lemony" coffee. He found his coffee to be slightly acidic but easy to drink. Adding milk made it mellow and delicious. As for my lemony coffee, it was also very tasty. I'm not very knowledgeable about tea, but I believe it was Darjeeling tea. Even as the tea in the teapot became stronger towards the end, it remained easy to drink. I wonder why it becomes bitter when I make it myself. After finishing our coffees, my son wanted to have a "mille-feuille" pastry, so we ordered one more. It was generously filled and looked delicious. He quickly devoured it, saying it was tasty. At the end, my son purchased a bean called "lunessance" to enjoy at home. We ground it and brewed it, finding it to be easy to drink with a hint of sweetness. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

It's Kushiro, and I'm alone. I'm walking according to my notes. My food tour was going smoothly, but suddenly it started to look suspicious. I got rejected two times in a row. I've never been rejected by two people in a row in my life. It's just a joke, so no need to comment on it. But if it's a joke, you can still comment on it, right? Next is "Shirue Akari." This kind of wordplay is getting popular lately. It's a café, right? The timing is a bit off again, at 12:50. But there's nothing I can do because of the route. It's just a drink, but is it okay? When I arrived, it was open. It's made of bricks, right? It's really nice inside. There's a gentleman sitting at the counter. The red jumper suits him very well. "Just a drink, please." "Sure, go ahead." He said it twice, so you can probably take it seriously, right? I sit at a table. It feels really nice here. The atmosphere is great. I like the paintings on the wall. I have some at home too, not paintings but jigsaw puzzles. I was really into it at one point, and I have a 4000-piece masterpiece that I'm proud of. It's hanging in the entrance, a European cityscape. Classical music is playing. I chose "Mandheling" over "Columbia" because it's darker roasted. It's 650 yen. It took about 15 minutes. It's a medium roast. It has a subtle finish. It's a medium roast, so there's a bit of acidity. This level of acidity might make it more delicious. It's not strong, bitter, or rough. It's a gentle Mandheling. Mandheling, I think? I realize I might not have had a rough coffee in Kushiro. Everywhere here serves refined coffee. It's delicious to drink in a place like this, but it may feel lacking at home or at work. They even warm the cup. It's too hot to drink. This might sound bad, but it's common in historic shops. The classic atmosphere is nice, but the noise from the stove is a bit distracting. And I ended up buying this...

I stopped by for tea after lunch at "Shirue To" (Silhouette), a specialty coffee shop that roasts its own beans and sells a variety of original blends. I had mistakenly thought they had closed down because every time I passed by, it was always dark. It turns out I was just passing by after closing time, which is at 4 pm as written on the entrance. The interior, which I hadn't visited in a while, was nostalgic and had a chic European style. The antique decorations gave the place an even more luxurious feel. I ordered the Genius Set with chocolate banana crepe and Mandelin blend Papillon, and the Short Set with homemade shortcake and Papillon. While waiting, I wandered around looking at the antique items and paintings. The legendary master brought our coffee, served in Wedgwood cups and saucers. The attention to detail was still impeccable. The well-balanced blend of coffee, with a mix of bitterness and acidity, was delicious. The classical piano music playing quietly in the background added to the pleasant atmosphere. It was a perfect space for quiet contemplation. When I asked the legendary master how long they had been in business, they replied, "33 years." (I must be getting old...). I will definitely visit again.

This is a long-established coffee shop in Kushiro, Hokkaido, with a retro-style building and interior. I ordered the "Chocolat Set" for 780 yen, and chose the recommended Papillon blend coffee. The main flavor was Mandheling, with a well-balanced bitterness that made it easy to drink. It had a rich flavor and a weighty aroma. The cake and cream were also retro-style, with a subtle sweetness that harmonized well with the atmosphere of the shop. The service was appropriate and it was a delightful coffee time. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

Upon entering the entrance, a pleasant aroma of freshly ground coffee beans fills the air. The lighting is dim, with polished wooden tables, brick walls, and antique decorations creating a mysterious atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. Although the coffee and cake set is priced at around 900 yen, which may not be considered cheap, the experience of taking a break from reality and enjoying a leisurely coffee time is quite satisfying. The spacious floor layout may result in some delay in getting the attention of the staff, but it's better than feeling constantly watched. The comfortable distance adds to the relaxing ambiance. I was a bit surprised to see a lithograph on the wall with a price tag of 220,000 yen, featuring the work of Binka Shiwao. If I were a high school student, I might have felt intimidated and not entered the shop, but as an adult, I appreciated the opportunity to unwind in such a place.

I went to a coffee shop for the first time in many years. My companion ordered a pizza while I had coffee. The price of coffee ranged from 500 to 600 yen on average, making it one of the more expensive places in Kushiro. The coffee was indeed delicious, but I felt it was a bit overpriced. The pizza was crispy and tasty. I was surprised to see beef cutlets on the menu and would like to try them next time. Unfortunately, the second floor was closed due to being stingy with heating during the winter season.

This is a café near Tottori and Showa Bridge in Kushiro City. The exterior is made of bricks and quite eye-catching. There is a parking lot in front of the shop. Inside, the shop is divided into 1st and 2nd floors, and it is quite a large store. They serve light meals, but their coffee is probably the most famous. Back in the day, coffee shops that served not only cups but also pots of coffee were not common. There used to be a branch inside the Jusco shopping center, but it seems to have closed down.

It is a fairly old coffee shop that was famous when it first opened, but the lack of maintenance since then cannot hide its age. The furnishings in the shop seem elaborate, but the water facilities are in poor condition. It feels like a shared toilet in a building crowded with old bars, and it's quite surprising. The coffee menu is fairly extensive. It seems like the smoking area is not properly separated, as the whole building can smell smoky if there are smokers around. It's a recommended place for long conversations over tea in the Tottori area. The staff won't give you a hard time even if you stay for a long time.
