When it comes to Sapporo, everyone thinks of the famous specialty, miso ramen. My favorite miso ramen in Sapporo, in addition to the well-known line-up shop called Saimi, is this place which I consider to be on par with the best. It is located a few minutes walk from Nakajima Koen Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line. Over 10 years ago, I visited this ramen shop based on a friend's recommendation and was impressed by the taste. Unfortunately, due to bad timing with their regular holidays, it had been over a decade since my last visit, but this time, I finally made it on a weekday just before 12:30. When I entered, the place was about half full, so I sat at the counter alone. The owner seemed to be away on a cooking expedition, and the kitchen was being run by two young women. They don't operate on a ticket system, instead, you pay in cash when you order. I ordered the miso tamago ramen. It was a hot and rich miso ramen with a good balance of punch and a perfect match of garlic and miso flavors, just like the last time I visited. It was a relief to finally have the chance to taste it again and see that the quality was still there even without the owner present. This place remains at the top of my list for miso ramen in Sapporo, and I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to visit again.

Saturday at 2:00 PM. Waited for 10 minutes with a group of 4 people. Located just a few minutes from Nakajima Koen Station. The soup has a gentle flavor of miso and a refreshing taste of ginger, with a light oiliness. The tender chashu is delicious. The green onions are a nice palate cleanser. In my opinion, this ramen fits the image of a classic Sumi-style ramen, similar to Oshima, Sannin Torajiro, and Go. It feels like it's popular among the local residents, judging by the diverse customer base. Thank you for the meal.

I went to eat at night when I stayed in Sapporo. The hotel I stayed at was near Nakajima Park, so the restaurant was just a short walk away. It's a small shop. The menu only has miso ramen, miso egg ramen, and that's it. No fried rice or dumplings. My husband ordered a Sapporo Classic beer! Beer with ramen? I was surprised but apparently it goes well together... The ramen from Okami Soup was piping hot with a thick layer of oil on top. It's a clever touch for the cold Hokkaido weather. The garlic flavor was strong, and it had cabbage, chashu, and menma. The egg was a boiled egg with a white yolk (?) It was all white yolk-like, kind of strange... I got a little bit of beer from my husband, who said it was light. Yeah, it's good! Ramen and beer really go well together~ The Sapporo miso ramen was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Miso ramen for 950 yen. Topping of wonton for 200 yen. They switched to a payment system where you pay upfront (which I prefer). The wonton had few fillings and a hint of yuzu fragrance. It was soft and smooth, enjoyable for its texture, but it felt like it would be better with a thicker and more flavorful wonton. I like wonton, but I don't think it's worth adding as an extra. The thick and tender chashu was delicious. The soup seemed to have lost its unique flavor and now tastes like a regular Sapporo miso soup. It's easy to eat without any strong taste, but it used to have a special flavor that is now missing. I had a similar feeling last time, so I guess this is the new taste they are going for.

I came here because I had been curious for a long time. I arrived just before the opening, but there was already a line. I couldn't enter on the first round, so I waited for about 30 minutes. They took my order before entering, so the ramen arrived quickly after I sat down. This time, I ordered miso egg ramen, miso egg ramen with one extra topping, and egg over rice. When I took a sip of the soup, it was delicious! The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles from Nishiyama Seimen. The toppings include bean sprouts, cabbage, green onions, and a slice of chashu. The cabbage is crunchy and sweet, very tasty. The chashu is so tender that it crumbles easily when picked up with chopsticks. I was surprised to see that the egg yolk was white. The egg over rice is also delicious. It was worth waiting in line to eat here.

Located near the entertainment district of Susukino in Sapporo is Nakajima Park, a lush oasis of nature in the midst of the city. Right next to Nakajima Park is the ramen shop we are featuring today, Ookami Soup. In Sapporo, where many ramen shops sell soy sauce, salt, and miso ramen, Ookami Soup stands out by offering only miso ramen. They pride themselves on serving a bowl that does not rely on chemical seasonings or pre-made products. The soup, like a powerful wolf, is robust and flavorful. Recognized as one of the top 100 ramen shops in the 2020 Tabelog Ramen EAST rankings, Ookami Soup is truly a gem. As soon as the bowl is placed in front of you, the aroma of ginger and sesame is enticing. The toppings are generously piled on, with a mound of leeks at the center and large slices of chashu catching your eye. The soup is made using pork bones and collagen for a mild flavor, with root vegetables added for depth. The rich miso flavor blends perfectly with the pork bone taste, and a hint of garlic adds a punch. The gentle notes of ginger and sesame balance out the strong flavors. The medium-thick noodles, slightly colored by the rich soup, are locally made by Nishiyama Seimen. When slurped, the ginger flavor lingers, and the wavy noodles perfectly capture the soup. Finally visited Wolf Soup✨. It was my 2nd or 3rd attempt since the opening, so I had to wait a bit. The turnover is relatively fast. They offer two types of ramen, miso or red miso. Since it was my first time, I chose the simple miso flavor! You pay in advance at the waiting area inside the restaurant. The ramen arrived shortly after I sat down. It looked delicious from the start haha. Even though it's miso ramen, it has a rich soy sauce-like broth with plenty of aromatic vegetables. It had green onions, bean sprouts, cabbage, a free-range egg, chashu, and most importantly, a strong ginger flavor. I think there were also potatoes in it... but I could be wrong haha. The noodles were thin curly noodles that mixed well with the oil and broth. I was surprised that the egg yolk was pale. I ended up finishing the soup completely.

The impact from last time was so strong that I'm back for the second month in a row. Adding raw garlic as a topping enhances the sweetness. There is definitely spiciness, but it really packs a punch with the rich miso flavor. Another topping option is wontons. The hint of yuzu adds a refreshing touch as you slurp the noodles, leaving a refreshing yuzu aftertaste... Oh, the garlic hits you! Once again, I finished every drop of the soup. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch: Miso Egg Ramen with Wonton Topping
The combination of cabbage, bean sprouts, and (probably) potatoes, along with the richness of the fish and shellfish broth, was perfectly balanced in the refreshing and elegant soup. The pale and beautiful light yellow egg yolk was a sight to behold. I wanted to order the egg rice as well, but my stomach wasn't feeling well so I had to pass. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I decided to try Hokkaido miso ramen at Wolf Soup for the first time at 6:00 PM. The restaurant was quite empty, possibly due to the summer festival at Susuki. I sat at the counter feeling quite full, so I ordered a simple miso ramen for 900 yen. The payment was made before ordering. The interior of the restaurant was oddly hot. The staff were relaxed and friendly. The staff were wearing T-shirts with violets on them, maybe because they are affiliated with Sumire. The soup had a strong roasted miso flavor with a noticeable amount of oil. The noodles were simple curly noodles. The chashu was a large slice and some diced pieces. If I had more room in my stomach, I would have added an egg topping. Thank you for the meal. I ate too much and now my belly is bulging.

Hmm, delicious. It seems like a mild white miso with plenty of miso flavor that would appeal to everyone. It's quite rich - miso ramen is common in Hokkaido, so this one is on the milder side. The noodles are probably medium-thick noodles? They have a nice chewy texture with a slight firmness, very tasty. The chashu is excellent. It's thinly sliced, but tender with a natural sweetness from the fat, very good. I wish they had more topping options, I would definitely add more. The soft-boiled egg is unique, with a very yellow yolk and a refreshing taste. It's not overpowering, but it's creamy and goes well with the ramen. The wonton is okay, nothing special. I could do without it as a topping.

The miso soup is full of rich umami flavor without being too salty, it's light and delicious. The master who makes the ramen personally brings it to each table, showing their love for ramen, and just that made me feel like I made the right choice coming to this restaurant.

Office workers have limited options for lunch, but on a certain weekday, I visited "Wolf Soup"! After undergoing a health check-up at the adjacent medical center, I arrived at the restaurant. I entered at 2:30 PM and there were 2 groups of customers with 3 people in total, no one waiting in line. It was a late lunch, but it turned out to be just fine as I could enter without waiting. The restaurant is operated by 3 staff members, 2 men and 1 woman. Today's order was: - Miso ramen: 900 yen - Rice: 150 yen The rich miso flavor with hints of ginger and accents of garlic made it taste gentle and well-balanced! The medium-thick curly noodles were cooked to my liking, slightly firm. It was delicious! Thank you and I will visit again!

I arrived for a slightly late lunch and was able to get in without waiting in line. This time, I ordered the miso egg ramen. The soup had a hint of ginger and was lighter compared to Sumire's. The chashu had a lot of fat. I was happy to see green onions, cabbage, and bean sprouts in the bowl. The egg had a light yellow yolk and was half-cooked. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

From Tokyo to New Chitose Airport, I hurriedly transferred trains and arrived around 14:50, just in time. I ordered a miso ramen for 900 yen, with no line to wait in. The soup had a strong first impression with a light ginger flavor and hot miso ginger soup underneath the lard. The taste was surprisingly mellow, possibly due to the effect of potatoes. The noodles were medium-thin with a wavy texture, holding up the soup well. They were cooked quite firm, providing a chewy texture. Toppings included bean sprouts, cabbage, green onions, and a generous slice of tender, fatty chashu with sesame seeds on top. However, I felt that the soup lacked depth and richness that I was expecting. The restaurant's July operating schedule was not available, but I decided to go for it anyway, and I'm glad I did!

It's been about 20 years since I last visited. The interior seems to have expanded. I visited a miso specialty shop. I ordered the wonton with garlic topping for 1200 yen. The soup was rich and flavorful. For those who love garlic, I recommend adding the garlic topping. It gives a strong punch to the taste. The soup was so delicious that I finished it all. The wonton had a hint of yuzu, giving a refreshing aftertaste. It was like a reset for my mouth before diving back into the rich soup. I realized my favorite menma was missing, but overall, it was a well-rounded miso ramen. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived just in time for the 11 o'clock opening, and there was a line of about 10 people, but I was able to get in after the first round. The service was quick, and my ramen was served shortly after being seated. I had the miso ramen with garlic, and the noodles were from Nishiyama Seimen, with a perfect deliciousness. The soup was on the salty side with a strong punch. The garlic was very flavorful, but even as a garlic lover, I found it a bit too overpowering. When you order, everything comes mixed in the soup, so you can't remove it, so if you're not a fan, it's best to avoid it. The chashu was tender and thick pork belly, which was delicious. That's why having pepper on the table would make it even better for flavor variation. Next time, I'll try the recommended ramen with a soft-boiled egg.

I was looking forward to it, but it was just average. The noodles were hard. There wasn't anything particularly special about it. It's not that it wasn't tasty, but it felt lacking. It was a bit sad to be asked for payment upfront in a loud voice. I wonder why, haha. It might be okay when you just want to eat regular ramen. The location is far, there's only one parking space, and access is quite difficult.

It's been a while, Wolf Soup. There is only space for one car in the parking lot, but there is a huge step so you need to be careful how you park. Perhaps because of this, everyone is parking on the street in front of the shop. It was lunchtime but I was able to enter at a good time. I ordered miso ramen with extra raw garlic (from Bibai). When the ramen arrived, it had plenty of green onions, tender chashu, and the reliable curly noodles. It was simply delicious. However, the punch from the raw garlic was intense. Just as it says on the menu, it was really spicy. Surprisingly, it went well with the miso soup, and even though it was spicy, I couldn't help but keep drinking it. It was a very satisfying ramen. Thank you for the meal!

This weekend I attended a seminar in Sapporo. When you come to Sapporo, you have to try miso ramen, right? I heard from my friends that this place has a fantastic miso ramen with a rich and flavorful broth. I came here right away and it was perfect timing at 3pm because I was the only customer. I usually don't choose miso ramen because I find the flavor too strong and similar no matter where I go, but I was wrong. I'm sorry. This was the best miso ramen I've ever had. I want to mix rice in and eat it all up. The soup is so rich and full of vegetables, with melt-in-your-mouth chashu. I will definitely come back here again.

I visited "Okami Soup" in Chuo-ku, Sapporo for the first time. I had been curious about this place for a while, so my expectations were high. However, it wasn't quite to my taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were nice. You have to pay when you order, and there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant where a small car can park.
