As it is a guesthouse, it is in the realm of gourmet... but I found it anyway, so might as well (o^∀^o) One of the purposes of my trip to Hokkaido was to visit the hills of Biei!!! It was mid-September, so the lavender season had passed, but it was the perfect season for cycling. The classic cycling courses are the Panorama Road and the Patchwork Road in Biei (*´∀`*) I wanted to conquer both in one day, so I stayed at Okasen-sato in Bimatsu. When making a reservation, you can choose whether to include dinner and breakfast. Dinner is +900 yen, breakfast is +500 yen. It is a type where everyone eats together like in a guesthouse. The owner couple manages everything themselves, and everything is homemade by the wife (^^) Dinner includes meat dishes, fish dishes, several side dishes, soup, etc., with a wide variety of dishes and excellent volume!!! Breakfast is bread, with soup, fruits, salad, eggs, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc., all plentiful. Of course, it's not a restaurant, so there are no special presentations, no impressive dishes, no menu displayed, but you can enjoy the taste of home to your heart's content. Some may think that dinner is 900 yen, so it might be better to eat whatever you like or famous dishes at other restaurants. However, there are hardly any eateries around Bimatsu Station, so it's convenient for those staying to use it. The best part is being able to interact with other guests (o^∀^o) The owner and his wife are really nice, and they even helped with planning the route for the next day and had a chat, making it a fun memory.
