"The standard rating is 2.0, and it's a popular yakiniku restaurant located in Sannomiya, Kobe. I went there for the first time, and when I told people around me that it was delicious, everyone seemed to know about it! (Haha) There are many yakiniku places with tasty meat, but I think what stands out here is the tail soup. Plus, it's super hearty!!! The seasoning was just to my liking, and as I'm getting to an age where eating too much meat can be tiring, this was very convenient for me. The dishes that left an impression on me were: 1. Tail soup 2. Beef tendon with ponzu 3. Special sirloin The beef tendon with ponzu was wonderfully tender and melted in my mouth. "It was so delicious!" There are several types of special meat, and when I asked the staff for a recommendation, they immediately replied, "Sirloin." When I checked the prices, it was the most expensive one! However, after tasting it, I completely understood why!!! It wasn't just soft; it also had a rich flavor! It made me feel that good meat is truly wonderful after a long time. I highly recommend this yakiniku restaurant."

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant right when it opened on a weekday. I used a coupon, and to my surprise, I got a complimentary drink and dessert too! This is my second review (and my first was over 10 years ago, haha), but I come here often. I tend to order the same few dishes every time, but they remain delicious, which is a good sign! The staff is all young and quick, and I always find them pleasant. I ordered oxtail soup and cold noodles this time, but I sadly forgot to take a photo – what a mistake! The cold noodles were a bit hard for me to chew, but the flavor was great! You can check the details of the menu in the comments attached to the images. I’ll keep coming back for a long time! In the evening, I went to Ishidaya in Sannomiya to enjoy Kobe beef. We ordered various cuts of meat and drank a selection of different drinks. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making for a comfortable experience, and I left feeling quite full. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the ultimate course, and it included my personal favorite, thick-cut beef tongue, as well as a selection of high-quality meats. Just when I was feeling satisfied, two more dishes were on the way, so I’m definitely going to leave feeling full. The staff was very attentive, observing our situation and serving the dishes at just the right moments.

I was looking for a delicious yakiniku restaurant in Sannomiya and found this place, so I decided to visit with a friend. They use good quality meat, but the prices aren't overly high, and they offer a wide variety of meats. We had beef tongue, harami (skirt steak), and loin, along with sushi topped with yukhoe (raw beef) and a salad made with nagaimo (Japanese yam) and okra. For the finale, we enjoyed a small portion of cold noodles, and everything was delicious. The only item that didn't match my expectations was the maruchou (small intestines), which felt more like sundae (Korean blood sausage). However, everything else was beautifully presented, and the seasoning was just right, leaving us very satisfied. We enjoyed the private atmosphere of the semi-private room, and all the staff were wonderful.

It was a holiday, but I had to work. On the first day, there was training, and I was completely out of touch with the three-day weekend everyone else was enjoying. Feeling despondent, I left work early, called at 3 PM, and headed to the restaurant in time for their 4 PM opening. I ordered: 1 bottle of beer, 2 specialタン塩 (tender beef tongue), 1 salt-mino (cow's stomach), 1 salt-tecchan (cow's intestines), 1ラムシン (lamb shoulder) with salt, 1上ハラミ (premium flank steak) with sauce, 1 large rice, 1 kimchi platter, 1 bean sprout namul, 1川越 (sweet potato) with water, and 1山ねこ (sweet potato) with water. The total was ¥15,114. Unlike many places that try to pass off thick slices as "thick-cut" tongue, this restaurant's version was exceptional. The premium flank steak was tender, melted in my mouth, and had a wonderful aroma. Everything, including the rice, was delicious. Oh, I mixed up マルシン (marshin) and ラムシン (lam-shin). By the way, considering my recent eating capacity, just the tongue, offal, and flank steak would be enough for me.

We decided to have dinner at this place near Sannomiya Station. They offer a variety of cuts, including tongue, tripe, kalbi, misuji, hiuchi, ribeye, harami, techan, and liver. The ribeye is highly recommended. We were able to relax in a nearly private room.

I traveled to Kobe today and found a restaurant, which I was able to reserve by phone. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the station. There is no parking at the restaurant, but there is a nearby parking lot, though it’s quite expensive! The restaurant is located on the 7th and 8th floors, and I was seated on the 7th floor this time. The menu is extensive, and I was indecisive, but ultimately ordered the special premium tongue, premium rib, and tongue yukke, which are some of my favorites. The special premium tongue was quite generous in portion for two, and it was incredibly delicious. The scallops were also quite large and tasted amazing when grilled! However, the minced tuna with seaweed and rice had a bit of a strong smell, which was disappointing. But I guess it happens sometimes?! The staff were very attentive and considerate, which I appreciated!

The cover photo features fatty tuna sashimi, and other meats completely overturned my previous concept of yakiniku with their thickness, tenderness, and refreshing flavor. I felt the high level of hospitality from the restaurant, as they replaced the grill without me asking and promptly served the dishes I ordered.

We had a family yakiniku dinner at Ishidaya, a popular restaurant in Kobe. This time we visited the Hanare branch instead of the main store. It's located on the 7th floor of a building, but it's close to the station, making it relatively easy to access. This was our first time choosing a course meal, which included a total of 13 items. We enjoyed a variety of meats, and the portion sizes were quite generous! The meat was consistently juicy, and we could really taste the sweetness of the fat, making it absolutely delicious! There were also lean cuts of meat, which made it feel lighter, so we felt satisfied all the way to the end! For the finale, we could choose between bibimbap or cold noodles (we went with bibimbap this time), which was refreshing! It is a bit pricey, but the satisfaction we received was worth every penny; it truly is the best yakiniku restaurant! I would love to go back as a special treat.

We made a reservation for four people. Two of us arrived a bit early, but we were smoothly attended to. The meat, including the offals, was fresh, and there were a good number of raw meat options on the menu. Of course, everything was delicious and satisfying. The ventilation was excellent, so there was no smoky smell at all, and the service was proper, allowing us to enjoy our time comfortably. We didn't choose a course menu, but even with ordering quite a few rare cuts, we were satisfied with the price (though it's not cheap).

I'm a meat lover in my fifties and have been visiting this amazing A5 Kobe beef-focused yakiniku restaurant for over 10 years during my business trips to Kobe. I've tried various famous and popular restaurants around Motomachi and Sannomiya stations, but I've settled on this one due to its unbeatable cost-performance despite being top-class. It seems it has also been selected as one of the best hundred restaurants in recent years. ● Roast Beef Yukhoe Style Since it’s Kobe beef, I'd prefer to enjoy Yukhoe as raw, but this one is so delicious that you wouldn't know it wasn’t raw. ● Thick Cut Tongue from the Root A rare cut with an incredible thickness that is surprisingly tender and absolutely delicious. ● Special Salted Tongue Similarly sourced from the fatty part of the root, the tongue usually has less fat, but this special cut had a lot of marbling and was tender. However, it was a bit too thin, especially after experiencing the thick-cut tongue, which was somewhat disappointing. ● Premium Haneshita This is my favorite part, the highest quality rib meat. Despite being a yakiniku dish, the thickness was stunning, and it was among the best Haneshita (zabuton) I’ve ever had—super tender and rich in flavor. ● Special Grilled Sukiyaki This is a must-order for me. Generally, other restaurants use ribeye or sirloin, but this one uses shoulder loin. With four slices included, the value was incredible. Note that this does not come with a small bowl of rice. ● Special Kalbi The pinnacle of kalbi, from the triangular belly. It melts in your mouth and disappears without needing to chew. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed A5 Kobe beef this time. The quality of this restaurant remains exceptionally high! Thank you for the meal!

On June 6, 2024, at 6:30 PM, I visited Ishida-ya in Harare. I enjoyed an à la carte meal that included Ishida-ya salad, a platter of kimchi, a platter of namul (seasoned vegetables), special salted tongue, premium short ribs, top sirloin, premium lean meat, and top ribeye. Everything was delicious.

JR Sannomiya Station West Exit is a 2-minute walk, and Hankyu Kobe Line Kobe Sannomiya Station East Exit is also a 2-minute walk, while Hanshin Main Line Sannomiya Station is a 5-minute walk away. Ishidaya in Sannomiya has both of its locations selected among the top 100 barbecue restaurants. This time, I visited Ishidaya Hanare. The menu, lined with premium meats, made my heart race. I ordered a platter of kimchi and namul, along with roasted beef served Yukhoe style. It was my first time trying Yukhoe-style roasted beef, and it was delicious. The "Ultimate Thick Sliced Tongue" was grilled well to seal in the fat, and with each bite, the juicy fat spread in my mouth. It was incredibly tasty. I ordered mainly red meats like "Uchihira" and "Special Filet." Surprisingly, the highlight turned out to be the regular "Harami." Though not labeled as special, it tasted just as good as the premium cuts. I chose the Kōdori Ishidaya red meat course. The salted tongue, salted tripe, and three types of red meat were all incredibly delicious! The red meat was tender and surprisingly juicy for being red meat. I was completely satisfied with the course from appetizers to the main dish! I would definitely like to use this place again when I go for yakiniku in Sannomiya!

Today, I visited Ishidaya Hanare in Sannomiya for dinner. I've been to their main store on Tor Road several times. This location has a nice atmosphere in the private rooms, making it a great choice for dates. The quality of the meat was, of course, outstanding. The grilled shabu-shabu with Kujo green onions was simply amazing! I will definitely go again!

I was taken to a restaurant by a friend for my birthday. The moment we entered the place, the elegant décor created a luxurious atmosphere, and it had a calming vibe. All the meat was delicious, and being able to grill it over charcoal was a great feature. I forgot to take photos of the food, but I did manage to get one of the tongue, which was also tasty.

There are several locations in Kobe, but this one is located on the top floor of a building, offering a great view from the windows. The meat is as delicious as always, and whether it pairs well with the drinks is up for debate, but there’s a nicely curated selection of premium alcohol that international guests might appreciate. The restaurant also features rare cuts of meat that you won't find in smaller barbecue places (though they are quite expensive). If you're ever in doubt about where to go for yakiniku, this is the place. It's great for both business meetings and dates, and you won't go wrong here.

My daughter's family came to visit, so I went with them. We had a great deal on a meat盛り set, two servings of thick-cut salt beef tongue, a hormone platter, kimchi platter, and for the kids, we ordered corn and sausages. The meat盛り set included ribeye, short ribs, skirt steak, hormones, and grilled vegetables for 3,700 yen. The meat was delicious, but my daughter's husband was particularly impressed, saying he had never tasted such wonderful beef tongue before (laughs). The hormone platter included thinly sliced tongue, beef entrails, maruchou (beef tripe), heart, and more. Both the beef entrails and heart were fresh, and even the kids enjoyed them. When it comes to great yakiniku (grilled meat) in Sannomiya, Ishidaya is the place to go. It was all very delicious. Thank you for the meal! ✨

On this day, I headed to Kobe for a yakiniku dinner with friends on the 29th of the month. We usually go to a restaurant in Shinzaike, but this time we decided to explore a new place. We arrived at the restaurant at 5 PM. It's located about a 3-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, on the 7th floor of a building along Ikuta Shin-dori. The interior has only table seating and seems to have a decent number of seats. We were seated at a table by the window. The restaurant offered a la carte options, but this time we opted for a course with an all-you-can-drink option. We celebrated with a toast over draft beer and started our meal! 🎉 The appetizers and salad were served not as share platters but as individual servings, which was delightful. The quality of the meat was impeccable, and the portions were just right. I had no idea there was such a place so close to Sannomiya Station. Thank you for the meal! **All-you-can-drink for 90 minutes - Special Ishidaya Course:** 10,175 yen (including tax) - **Two types of appetizers:** Taan Chashu and Kakuteki. Both paired perfectly with beer! - **Salad:** Surprisingly delicious, lightly seasoned without any dressing. - **Roast Beef:** Just lightly seared on the surface. It’s a marbled cut but not overly greasy, very tasty. - **Salted Tongue:** Thinly sliced type of salted tongue. I could eat as many as I wanted. - **Salted Mino:** Although it's an organ, it’s served salted. They brought it out first, which was great. It’s cut well, making it easy to eat. - **Special Grilled Shabu:** Marbled beef quickly seared on both sides and served with grated daikon and ponzu. Personally, I prefer it with ponzu over egg yolk sauce. Despite the rich marbling, it was surprisingly light and incredibly delicious. - **Premium Loin:** Very tender and rich marbling, certainly lives up to its name! Enjoyed with salt or soy sauce and wasabi. - **Premium Lean Meat & Premium Kalbi:** The lean meat is shoulder cut. It was light yet tender and delicious. The premium kalbi came in two varieties: one lean and one heavily marbled. The marbled one shouldn’t be cooked too long, or the fat may drip away. - **Hormone Assortment:** Included tongue tip, heart, maruchou, and mino. The marinade was not overly strong, allowing the richness of the fat to shine through. I usually find heart challenging, but I enjoyed it without any odd flavors. - **Bibimbap (small):** For the finale, I could choose between mini cold noodles or bibimbap. Since there was no white rice included, I chose bibimbap. It was served in stone bowl style, but unfortunately, it was slightly lukewarm. - **Dessert:** Lemon sorbet. **Drinks:** - Draft beer - Highball - Lemon sour - Grapefruit sour - Orange sour
