I am a curry enthusiast who is new to the area and dining alone. It has been almost a year since my last visit, and I was able to return due to some auspicious events. Although I would like to explore new places and compare them with other restaurants, the price range here makes it a bit difficult for me, as a regular salary earner. Compared to the high-end restaurants in Tokyo that are being talked about for possible entertaining scandals, this place falls into the reasonable to mid-range category. It's definitely more affordable than the wealthy in Tokyo, which is on a whole different level. When I was working in Tokyo, I had a colleague living in Denenchofu (the son of a super famous company owner) who had a parking space for three cars and jokingly said I could use it if I wanted to change my license plate to a Shinagawa one. It was a funny but serious joke. He was a good guy, but I couldn't help but wonder why he chose our company, which is not an old zaibatsu. There were also descendants of daimyo families, both direct and collateral, as well as daughters of nobility with titles. Just mentioning their names would make anyone who has studied Japanese history go "ah" in response. As someone from Hokkaido, where history and tradition are not as deep-rooted, I couldn't help but be amazed by how incredible Tokyo is. As an ordinary salary earner, I have only experienced this restaurant, but even so, it was a great experience. I was finally able to set a date for a celebration, and about a month after the actual celebration, I was able to make a reservation for the "Celebration Feast" course, which seemed festive and fitting for the occasion. It included seafood, good quality meat, and was a step up from the meat-focused course I had last year. Unfortunately, I couldn't request the chef who provided excellent service and explained the dishes in a non-intrusive manner last year, but a date was set. Although Sapporo and Hokkaido had lifted their self-restraint requests, the restaurant had arranged seating with ample space between tables, which was considerate of our convenience. However, just before the reservation time, our situation suddenly changed, and we had to contact the restaurant to cancel or reschedule. The restaurant was very understanding and accommodating, and I am truly grateful for their thoughtful response. We were able to adjust the start time and resolve the situation, which was a relief. We arrived at 8:30 pm, which was a bit late. The restaurant has multiple booths and private rooms to accommodate various types of customers and occasions. This time, we were seated in the same booth as last year, which had been arranged for us. If it weren't for the pandemic, the booth could accommodate 8 people with two teppanyaki grills (manned by two chefs), but this time there were only two groups seated at opposite ends. From the way people were entering the different zones, it seems that customers are gradually returning, but maintaining social distance must be challenging for the restaurant. I reserved the "Celebration Feast" course, which included three different types of steak to share. - Champagne (glass) - Celebration Feast: - Appetizer (clam arrangement) - Today's salad - Sauteed Ezo abalone/Blue lobster - Ishizaki original "Cold roast beef" - Today's grilled vegetables - Select sirloin/tenderloin steak 50g each - Premium Chateaubriand steak 100g - Wagyu roast beef nigiri sushi - Garlic rice half portion - Miso soup & pickles - Dessert (sakura salt ice cream/sakura mousse/fruit) - After-dinner drink The total cost including tax was 51,425 yen.
