In early February, I went with my girlfriends who were also into trying various soup curries. My friend ordered the Chicken Leg "Chiki Chiki" and I ordered the Braised Pork "Ton Chiki" set. We also ordered lassi to go with our meals! I was surprised by the mixed grain rice and how well it went with the curry. I didn't expect to find such delicious soup curry in Susukino. It was so good that my friend and I agreed that this is the place to go for soup curry in Susukino! The strawberry lassi was also tasty and easy to drink. Additionally, they offer a 100 yen discount for parking (self-declaration) or a free topping with a point card, which was a nice bonus. I was so satisfied that I went back a second time alone! This time, I tried the "Pork and Mushroom" (pork shabu-shabu with three types of mushrooms), but the mushrooms were a bit too strong for my liking. I decided that next time, I'll stick to either the Ton Chiki or Chiki Chiki.

However, I was surprised to see that the ingredients were more simple and stylish, rather than chaotic as I had expected from other reviews. The crispy chicken was tender and delicious, without any unpleasant flavors. The fried vegetables were cooked well and had a good variety, but personally, I would have preferred sweet potatoes instead of fried burdock. The mixed grain rice paired well with the soup, and the addition of lemon was a nice touch. The perfectly cooked egg on top of the rice was not only visually appealing but also practical as it didn't break into the soup. The level 5 spiciness was just right for someone with an average tolerance like me, but I think I could have handled level 6 as well. This was my first visit. It's a revenge for the soup curry in Sapporo. I added fried burdock and hormone to the Veggie Veggie. The spiciness was medium and I could easily finish the large serving of rice. The soup was piping hot and all the vegetables were very delicious. The fried burdock was exceptionally tasty. Ordered seafood with medium spiciness level 4, small 150g rice, and a Sapporo Classic draft beer for a total of 1610 yen. With a discount of 550 yen, the final cost was 110 yen less. I added cheese topping to the lamb minced meat curry with a good cost performance. The sauce has a slightly unique taste, maybe because of the lamb? The rice seemed to be mixed grain rice. It was delicious. The cheese was perfect for changing the flavor. It's rare to find a smoking area.

I feel like I need to make sure to visit such a restaurant, but I enjoy visiting lesser-known places, so I haven't made much progress in visiting famous or top-ranked restaurants. We visited for lunch on a weekday, right after opening, with two people. We climbed the narrow stairs to the second floor. The interior has a counter with 6 seats, 2 tables for 2 people, and 2 tables for 4 people. Looking at the menu, there are 9 types of soup curry priced at 1,290 to 1,600 yen, with 4 types of soup, about 30 toppings, yogurt drinks, soft drinks, and alcohol. We ordered the "Chikichiki @1,290" with chicken and vegetables. The chicken was crispy, and the soup was in Chaos style, with a spiciness level of 10 (free option for the spiciest). The rice was served in about 8 minutes with ingredients such as chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, eggplant, and lotus root on top of the rice, along with boiled egg and lemon. During lunchtime, we were served a mini salad, "burdock salad," as a service. The soup had a refreshing and lightly sour taste without being too heavy, suitable for those who prefer a light taste. It was slightly salty for my taste, but some may prefer a slightly stronger taste. Since the soup is light, dishes like hamburgers, franks, and lamb may go well with it. The free spiciness level 10 was reasonably spicy, and the cost performance was good. The rice was slightly soft to my liking, and the small rice portion was satisfying enough for dieters. It may not be right in the middle of my taste preferences, but it was a well-made soup curry, and I am curious about the taste of other soups as well. Payment can be made with PayPay. Ordered the basic chicken curry with crispy chicken, medium spiciness, basic soup style, no additional toppings, and a small portion of rice. I wanted to try soup curry in Hokkaido and came across this place that uses milk in their soup. The taste was amazing. I recommend getting a large portion of rice to have more curry. The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow at times.

I had the chicken leg and vegetable chikichiki with a chaotic style soup. I chose the crispy chicken option. The soup had a spicy kick to it, and it was pretty spicy ^^; However, this level of spiciness was just right for me and quite delicious! I like spicy food, but a soup that is just spicy without any flavor is not worth it haha. This medium spiciness was the best match for me! The chicken was crispy and fragrant, and it was tender enough to be easily broken with a spoon. The variety of vegetables in the dish was great too, and the cost performance was excellent (^O^) The rice was mixed grain, so it was healthy! My partner had the same dish but with a milk-style soup. I took a bite, and it was slightly milder with a rich flavor. It was also delicious (^^) Both options are recommended! It's hard to choose a favorite haha. I went up to the second floor and found it surprisingly spacious. I ordered the "Chiki Chiki" (chicken) for 1290 yen, choosing the crispy skin option and upgrading to a large portion of rice (300 grams) for an additional 110 yen. I selected the spiciness level as "spicy #5" and the soup was the free "chaos style" which features a soup style with Hokkaido milk added. I was tempted by this style but decided to go with the basic one for my first visit. The classic draft beer was 550 yen, but when you order curry, it becomes 440 yen. It's a delight for those who enjoy drinking soup curry with their alcohol. It took a while for the soup to arrive, but it was perfect timing for enjoying a draft beer. The soup was thin and spicy, with a hint of cumin and a slight acidity that gave a refreshing sensation instead of the usual sweat-inducing heat of regular soup curry. The chicken was cooked to the right firmness, locking in its umami flavor. The fried eggplant, lotus root, sweet potato, lightly boiled carrots, young corn, crunchy bell peppers, and cabbage, not to forget the potatoes, added color and flavor to the soup curry. The rice with mixed grains came with a half-boiled egg, and the sweetness of the egg complemented the sharpness of the spicy soup. By the time I finished eating, sweat was starting to trickle down my neck and forehead, but the delayed and gentle activation of my body was a mysterious and pleasant experience. The chicken was crispy, with a medium spiciness level of 4, and the soup was in chaos style. I ordered rice in the middle. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to the soup curry being served. It was filled with lots of vegetables like lotus root, carrot, baby corn, sweet potato, eggplant, potato, cabbage, kaiware, bell pepper, and paprika. The chicken was crispy and delicious! The soup was moderately spicy with a deep flavor, and it was delicious. Delicious soup curry, thank you for the meal!

When it comes to vegetables being on the smaller side, it may sound negative, but as someone who likes to add various toppings, having smaller pieces allows for more variety. I ordered the medium-spicy milk style, which was spicier than the usual medium level and leaves a lingering heat sensation.

Wednesday 11:30 No waiting at the soup curry restaurant is a relief as most popular ones have long lines. I ordered the "Chiki Chiki" (crispy) for 1,290 yen, with a spice level of 6, milk-style soup for an extra 160 yen, no toppings, and medium rice (200g), totaling 1,450 yen. I got my bowl at 12:15, which was longer than expected. Apparently, they can only make about 4 bowls at a time. I was surprised by how lukewarm the soup curry was. I wonder what took them so long. The taste was quite ordinary despite the unique claim. Overall, it was an average experience.

I went to a famous restaurant expecting long lines, but there was no one there... I cautiously went upstairs. There were about 7 or 8 customers ahead of me. Phew, looks like I'm in the right place. The service was not particularly friendly, but the seating was efficient. I ordered the crispy chicken, spicy curry, and chaos soup. The spiciness was just right, and the cumin added a nice touch. It was delicious. However, most soup curries are good, so it's hard to give a definitive evaluation. Next time, I'll add the tempura.

I recommend arriving right at opening time if you want to avoid waiting in line. I look forward to revisiting this restaurant, as I am now interested in trying the Veggie Veggie Chaos Style next time.

The soup tastes delicious, but the customer service is a bit off. One of the male staff members was shouting from the kitchen at someone who forgot to close the entrance door, which made me feel really uncomfortable. The restaurant was full of customers, so it was not a good look. I don't know if it's because of strict heating efficiency in Hokkaido, but even if I can't go close the door, couldn't another staff member do it? It's a turn off to experience this kind of behavior while dining.
