Yome-san quickly entered the restroom. The reason she chose the restaurant was because it was the first one she saw on Google Maps, and it had good reviews. She saw on Tabelog that it said "everything is delicious," so she decided to eat there. When asked what she wanted to eat, she replied, "Anything is fine." The cheapest course was 4000 yen. She ordered a beer before going to the restroom. In the end, she only had two beers, so the course was too much. The beer was delicious. The ham was amazing. She was told to mix it well before eating. There was mentaiko sauce and olive oil. The scallops were amazing, even though she was a bit drunk. The liver dish was delicious too. The salad was a bit much for her, but she mixed it and ate it. The chawanmushi was also delicious. Yome-san ordered sparkling wine with Shine Muscat, which made her cry. She grows Shine Muscat at home. She regretted choosing this restaurant as the last one.

I went out for dinner with a friend who loves Western food after a long time. We visited this restaurant that I had been curious about without a reservation. We chose the 4,800 yen course "Zeus" which included a "aged beef steak" + all-you-can-drink for 1,700 yen. The reason we chose it was because they had the aged beef steak. The meal included various dishes such as appetizers, simmered daikon and squid, avocado chawanmushi, sashimi, monkfish tempura, salad, sushi, shrimp soup, and dessert. We took photos of everything and finished all the dishes. However, the next day when I looked back at the photos, I realized something. Wait! The aged beef steak didn't come out, did it!? I looked at the photos closely and then I noticed it. Oh no! Maybe that thin, bacon-like thing that came with the salad was the aged beef steak... The drinks were all fancy and delicious though.

This time, I visited Kushiro for a business trip. I was thinking of refraining from going out due to the coronavirus situation, but since I came all the way here, I wanted to eat something delicious while strolling around the city. I checked out Tabelog and found this restaurant that seemed interesting. Chikuwa Papa-san's review mentioned a delicious sushi dish that combines Western and Japanese flavors, so I decided to leave it to the master. Each dish was extremely delicious! I didn't know what would come next, which was actually great! I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, each with a unique blend of Western and Japanese styles. The attached photos show octopus tempura, dashi soup, and sushi. There was also chawanmushi served, but I forgot to take a picture of it...haha. The dashi soup was particularly delicious, and when I asked the master about it, he mentioned that he had trained at a sushi restaurant before. Everything I ate was fantastic! I will definitely come back when I visit Kushiro again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Visit date May 7, 2019. This day was right after Golden Week, so not in work mode at all. Didn't feel like cooking, so decided to visit Shunya-san as my companion had been wanting to go there. I called ahead to confirm if they could accommodate the 5600 yen course on the day of the visit, and they said yes. When we arrived, we were seated at a 2-person table by the wall. No previous customers, just two regulars. The interior was stylish, giving off a bar vibe. We were a bit overwhelmed by the atmosphere. They offer a 1600 yen option for 100 minutes of all-you-can-drink, but we opted for individual orders this time. The course started, and I wanted to take notes on the menu and my impressions, but gave up after the first item as the dish names were too long to catch (laughs). Please refer to the photos for the dishes. The taste was undeniably delicious. They use good ingredients. Oh, the wooden spoon for the soup was difficult to use. The couple running the place seemed to be the owner of the bar rather than chefs - a man with a bar owner vibe and a woman with a calm demeanor. When it came to payment, they do accept cards, but... well, you know those occasional issues (please understand). By the way, what does the "J" in Bistro "J" Bar stand for?

I was taken to a wonderful champagne bar called "Shunya"! The food is available in course options where you can choose based on price and quantity, and I left it all to the master. The first dish was a platter of homemade smoked and salted fish roe. It was delicious and perfect with drinks! Next, we had a hearty seafood zangi, with various fresh ingredients like squid and scallops. The sauce on the zangi was a great accent that made it even more enjoyable to eat! The roast pork was incredibly tender, soaked in the flavor of vegetables, and the Western-style chawanmushi with a mild cheese and dashi broth was outstanding! The sashimi and carpaccio were beautifully presented, like something you would see in a high-end French restaurant, and tasted amazing. The highlight was the creative sushi platter! I never expected to have sushi here, but it was even better than what you would get at a sushi restaurant (lol). The egg sushi was a standout! The rice was inside the egg! This egg sushi was truly special! The rolled sushi, like the cheese roll, was also addictively delicious. The fusion of Japanese and Western flavors at "Shunya" is truly impressive! I can't wait to see what creative dishes they come up with next using seasonal ingredients! I definitely need to go back soon! (^_^)v
