I felt like having something sweet, so I decided to visit this shop that I had never been to before. I ordered Tiramisu (380 yen), Sanmaruku (380 yen), and Shine Muscat Tart (480 yen). I also got a Cannele (180 yen) which is not shown in the picture. The Tiramisu had a crunchy texture inside and was delicious. The Cannele was not crispy on the outside and had a chewy texture overall. It might be good for those who like authentic flavors. Since the shop seemed to be promoting their Apple Pie, I would like to try that next time.

This old-fashioned cake shop used to be located in the rice family's area, but it has moved to Ishikawa. It is quietly nestled in a residential area with a convenient parking lot right next to it. The sign at the shop seems to recommend the apple pie. It looks delicious! The whole apple pie is 2000 yen, and a slice is 290 yen. It is packed full of stewed apples, with no custard or cinnamon, just a straight-up apple flavor. The mille-feuille pie has a unique design with the pastry laid horizontally, making it very easy to eat. The custard cream, crispy pastry, strawberries, and whipped cream on top were delicious. I tried the coffee eclair, which was rare and came in a small size that was just right for a quick bite. It was filled with a generous amount of cream and was quite satisfying. With 15 different types of cakes, including apple pie, eclairs, roll cakes, and baked goods, there is something for everyone at this well-established shop. It's a shame that they are not yet offering dine-in options due to the pandemic. Thank you for the meal!

In Hakodate, a three-generation old cake shop, I visited for the first time since they relocated to their current location. The shop interior is very beautiful and stylish, but they have not yet resumed eat-in services. I tried their mille-feuille, pudding, and baked goods. Even though they have changed, the taste was still simple and delicious.

In Ishikawa Town, there seems to be a lot of cake shops. I went out to have a parfait in the eat-in area, but it was closed, given the current situation. So, I decided to choose something to take home. My husband got the famous peach tart, while I opted for a buttercream cake. I was also tempted by the petit fours, but they seemed to have a shorter shelf life, so maybe next time. Oh, they had canelés too, so I got one. It was crispy on the outside. The buttercream cake was delicious. I also got a three-star Caldenal-like baked good that keeps well. Everything was tasty, with simple and likeable ingredients in these sweets.

This year's peach tart was delicious as always. I couldn't buy it on my two previous attempts due to it being sold out, so this time I made a reservation. I originally planned to eat in, but they are currently on hiatus. I ended up getting it to go, and it was still tasty. I also purchased the canelé on the counter, which was not too hard and had a strong honey aroma. Personally, I prefer the canelé from Fujiya as it is hard but delicious.

First of all, at the beginning, the well-known nationwide name "Fugetsudo" is a shop that branched off from "Kobe Fugetsudo," but this is a different shop. Now, Fugetsudo in Hakodate moved here from Tagacho a few years ago (right next to Ryojo High School). The highlight of this shop is the "Maltese" - not the name of a dog, but a souffle cheesecake named after its round and fluffy appearance. I came here with my nieces because they wanted to eat the Maltese, but they ended up wanting to eat a parfait, so I accompanied them to eat it in the store. The cake costs 600 yen each, and with an additional 200 yen, you can have coffee. The Maltese is a simple treat with nothing inside, just as it looks. However, it is delicious. It is larger than other cakes and has a fluffy texture with an irresistible cheese flavor and aroma. It was enough for two people and truly delicious.

I found a shop in a somewhat remote area of Ishikawa-cho's New Town with a sign that modestly read "Fugedou." There were quite a few cars coming in and out of the parking lot, so it seems to be quite well-known. The parking lot was a bit small, so caution was needed. As soon as I entered, I saw a showcase with apple pie as the recommended item for the season. However, I ended up buying a raisin-filled rye bread (I forgot the name) and a "Maltese" cake. Honestly, once I spotted the Maltese, I couldn't help but focus on that and didn't pay much attention to the other items. I hurried home with my purchases. The Maltese cake (¥540) was a fluffy round cheesecake that was 99% cream - both in appearance and taste, it was very satisfying for the price. It would make a great souvenir as well. I thought it had a lot of potential as a cake. The rye bread (around ¥340) was dense and packed with raisins - the raisins seemed to be the star of the show rather than the rye. It was a bread where the raisins had a high density. A cheesecake that was almost all cream - they really pulled it off well! It was great to be able to choose just the parts you like. Thank you for the meal.

Hakodate's emerging residential area?? The Ishikawa-cho area is constantly changing with new houses, commercial facilities, and roads. Should I buy snacks at that bakery or at that confectionery store today? As I drive, I notice a road that my latest GPS doesn't have, leading to a building that looks like a confectionery shop called "Fugetsudo." I remember reading an article in the local free paper about their relocation. Let's go check it out! The interior of the shop is divided into baked goods on the left, cakes in the center, and an eat-in area on the right. Since it's a new shop, it's clean and inviting. I decide to eat in and order a Sanmark cake for 324 yen and a coffee for 220 yen. The eat-in area has tables that can be combined to accommodate up to 12 people. Time to dig in! The cake is quite sweet, just the way I like it. The cream part is firm, almost like mousse. The coffee is from a machine and has a bitter foam. Considering the price, it's decent. Thank you for the delicious meal! Maybe next time I'll come with my wife for another visit. Thank you for having us again!

The map shows an area undergoing urban development, with a roughly one-lane city road and parking for 7 cars on site. The access by car is good. Now for the food review: Mango Tart (¥378) - 6cm in diameter and 6cm high, with a rich sweetness from freezing and thawing the mango. The tart crust is crunchy and delicious. Strawberry Tart (¥432) - 6cm in diameter and 7cm high, with a strong berry flavor and refreshing acidity. Mont Blanc (¥378) - 6cm in diameter and 7cm high, with a rich chestnut flavor. Personally, I prefer the cream to be a bit milder. Tea Veil (¥324) - 4cm wide, 9cm deep, and 3cm high, with a matcha flavor and 3 red beans on top. A hint of bitterness would make it even more sophisticated. The eat-in space is well-equipped, with limited menu options available. Customers can enjoy their food without feeling pressured.
