◆I still think that authentic soup curry is really delicious. With 28 years of history (I think it opened in 1995), Sapporo Soup Curry's standard soup. Inspired by the soup curry shop Sri Lanka Kyowa Country, the curry created by the owner has a gentle taste with the Sri Kyu soup enhanced by Japanese dashi. Similarly, Gop's Anagra, which was also inspired by Sri Kyu and opened in 2005, has a taste that is completely different, but I feel there is a common umami flavor. I love both the Plurpul and Gop's Anagra, they are the standard of Sapporo Soup Curry in my opinion. Now, let's head downstairs for a blissful spice time! ・Today, instead of the Nut, I came to eat the Scallop Vegetable after a long time, but unfortunately, it was sold out. (According to Mr. Murakami, this Scallop is a menu for tourists) So, I'll go for the standard Chicken Vegetable. Chicken Vegetable (spiciness level 60, medium rice) 【Soup】Recently, I've been eating Nut soup curry all the time, so seeing a basic soup again, I realized that it was unexpectedly strong in lean meat. The simple taste is characterized by a rich sweetness of a large amount of onions and a strong bonito dashi, creating a clear Japanese flavor without any miscellaneous taste. It is mellow, with the saltiness at the center. The salt is not for seasoning, but to enhance the umami of the dashi, resulting in a deep flavor. The spiciness level 60 has a good balance where the spice flavor is moderately felt. However, the spiciness level is quite high. For me now, around level 40-50 is the best. This is really delicious. 【Vegetables】Boiled potatoes: Just boiled potatoes with nothing special. But, it's simple and delicious. Boiled carrots: Sweet and tender, delicious. Bell peppers: Fragrant, with a moderate bitterness that gives an adult taste, delicious. There are only these vegetables, but they have a strong taste edge, and they blend well with the sweetness of the onions and the umami of the chicken broth. 【Chicken】A fairly large chicken leg... tender. Juicy and no unpleasant smell. A sign of careful preparation. And it's also full of flavor. Delicious! 【Rice】Moist and plump high-quality rice with plenty of moisture. Tropical-themed restaurant. Easy for solo diners to enter. The soup curry is exquisite, and you can choose the level of spiciness. I opted for slightly spicy, and it was spicy and addictive. I tried the chicken, and the meat was so tender, cooked to perfection, and matched well with the soup.

Dinner for the first visit. This restaurant prioritizes customer service over answering the phone! (Not good or bad, they may still be open even if they don't answer the phone...) Stylish signboard and interior. This time, I ordered natto and minced meat curry. It's a soup that is like a mix between soup curry and roux curry. The lunch for office workers is limited. On a certain day of working on a holiday, the lunch is at Murakami Curry Shop "Purupuru". Arrived at 10:50, entered at 11:00. No customers before, 7 groups of customers after with a total of 9 people. The shop is run by the owner and 1 male and 1 female staff, operating with 3 people. Today's order: - Chicken Vegetable Curry (spiciness level 30) 1,100 yen - Sambooru (half portion) 150 yen - Meatball 50 yen. Waited for about 10 minutes before the food was served. The appearance is very simple! Soup: Thin and spicy, not much depth or richness but becomes more delicious as you eat. Ingredients: Chicken leg, bell pepper, carrot, potato, boiled egg. The chicken leg is tender and easy to eat. The vegetables are not deep-fried, which was a bit disappointing for someone who prefers deep-fried, but the sweetness of the ingredients can be felt, and I think they use quality vegetables. Next time, I will try ordering the natto and minced meat dish! It was delicious♪ Thank you for the meal - I will come again!

Lunch for the day was curry at "Murakami Curry Shop PuruPuru"! I arrived at the parking lot near the shop around 10:30. The nearest station is West 11th Street Station on the Tozai Subway Line, about a 6-minute walk away. The shop is located on the basement floor, which was convenient for shelter from the rain. The shop opened at 11 am! There were about 7 seats at the L-shaped counter, with half of them being used. Additionally, there were two 4-person sofa tables, one 4-person table in the back, and two 2-person tables. I sat at the counter and ordered the famous "Natto Minced Meat Vegetable" that was featured on a TV show. I opted for a small portion (200g) of rice, which is normally 270g. For the spiciness level, I chose 15, which is recommended for those who like it spicy. The curry included minced chicken and natto, along with okra, carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms. It was a curry packed with nutrients! If you like natto, you'll definitely love it (lol). Thank you for the meal!

I recently revived my love for pulupulu. Today, I checked out of Yone-chan's hotel in Tokyo and made my way here. It was just past 11 o'clock and the place was still quite empty. As usual, I ordered the Nut & Ground Meat Vegetable dish with a spiciness level of 30, a large portion of curry soup, and a regular serving of rice (270g). When you upgrade the soup to a large portion, it comes in a bowl. Spiciness level 30 was just right for me. As I was eating, I realized that I should have ordered a small portion of rice. However, I've been eating a lot of natto lately and I'm already satisfied, so I think it's time to try something different. 🍚😋

The dimly lit underground shop always plays reggae music. On Saturdays at 2 pm, there were only two other customers. It was good that it wasn't crowded. During weekdays, they offer lunch for 800 yen, so it gets really busy. Whenever I feel like I might be coming down with a cold or not feeling well, I always come to this place (lol). I feel like the spices here suit me and help improve my condition. Even though I want to try other dishes, I always end up ordering the "Nat" curry. It's a curry with okra, natto, minced meat, and enoki mushrooms, but not many people seem interested in it. The curry has carrots and potatoes in it, and not much else. The vegetables alone never fill me up, even when I order extra soup. I like my curry at level 40 spiciness, but some people around me order level 100, which I think I couldn't handle. I enjoyed my meal this time as well. Thank you for the delicious food.

Today, I arrived at this restaurant right when it opened. It was almost full, with a mix of tourists and locals. I ordered the tomato chicken curry, which is my favorite here. I like it spicy, so I chose level 20. The broccoli topping was surprisingly cheap. The curry here is truly a work of art. It's perfect in every way, and the value for money is unbeatable. As I left, I saw a line forming on the stairs. I understand why - I'll definitely be back for an early lunch!

I used to come here often for lunch because my office was nearby. It's been a while since I last visited this place. I pressed the "visited" button in 2015. It's been 8 years... I ordered natto, minced meat and vegetable curry with a spiciness level of 20, with a small serving of rice (120g). The time was 12:30, just as the first group was leaving, which was perfect. Ah, it's been a while since I tasted this flavor. It's delicious. I didn't know natto could go well with curry until now. The addition of okra is nice too. The interior of the restaurant hasn't changed at all, but the owner seems to have aged nicely. The price is still the same at 850 yen, I wonder if it hasn't changed. Unlike other places where they ask to pay together as a group, it's nice that you can pay individually here. I'll definitely come back. Keep up the good work!

Visited with my favorite drinking buddies♪ I had the Natu-ground meat vegetable pickine, green beans, and spinach subji with spiciness level 200. Oh, and beer too! The pickine is finely chopped♪ It's delicious as always! It feels like going back to the basics. I fell in love with soup curry, and as I tried various dishes, my taste buds changed... Now I love Murakami-style curry❤ The spicier, the better, it's delicious! It's hard to put into words, but a soup curry that makes natto taste this good must be Murakami-style. I'll definitely come back again!

The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance from West 11th Street. There are many parking lots around, but they are often full, so be careful when going by car during lunchtime. The pork belly curry has plenty of vegetables and the pork belly is tender. I ordered it with a spice level of 10, and it was quite spicy. The soup seemed light at first, but the flavor and spiciness lingered, so it may just feel light in comparison.

The underground shop is playing loud reggae music. It used to be a bar, I guess. There are 7 seats at the counter, two 4-person tables in the front space, and more tables in the back. I found out that natto is a specialty here from the reviews on Tabelog, so I ordered it. The staff recommended adding pork cartilage as a topping. - Natto with minced meat: 900 yen - Pork cartilage: 100 yen I was shocked when the curry was brought out. It didn't look appetizing at all. And the hot smell of natto, even though I like natto, was a bit strong... It had a strong natto smell with a lot of minced natto. However, as I kept eating, it started to taste good. It was quite spicy even though I ordered level 7. It was just right. Up to level 20 is free. The curry had okra, potatoes, and carrots as ingredients.

Today, I felt the saltiness more strongly, but when I dropped the spoon with white rice into the curry plate and mixed it with the air, then put it in my mouth... oh, it's mild. I topped my bean and vegetable curry with cartilage, okra, tomato, and broccoli. It was a huge portion and I regretted being a bit greedy, but I managed to finish it all. The spiciness was at level 5 and mild, yet the spices made me sweat a lot. It seemed to work wonders after last night's drinking. I feel like I can keep going tonight too. The friendly waitress was very likeable, and I was surprised by how fast the food was served. Despite a constant flow of customers, there wasn't much of a line. This is a wonderful restaurant. I was able to visit Murakami Curry Shop PuruPuru for the first time in a year. I ordered in the store: Braised Pork with Cheese, Diced Eggplant, Mushroom Topping, Number 30. For takeout: Natto Ground Meat Vegetable with Cheese, Topping of Cartilage. It's really outstanding. I've been eating here since my student days, but this shop is truly the best! I visited after a long time! They asked me to wear a mask because it's underground! I was surprised. Luckily, I had one with me. I chose the Saturday special, pork korma with hijiki and fish chutney. I added spinach subji with a spiciness level of 50, chickpea curry, and topped it with fenugreek polyal. Yeah, it was the best!

For my last lunch in Nishi 10-chome, without hesitation, I visited my favorite soup curry spot in Sapporo, Murakami Curry Shop Pulupulu! I ordered the classic chicken curry without any doubt. A famous restaurant in Sapporo known for its natto soup curry. I had been curious about it for a while but couldn't find the place easily. Finally, a local friend guided me there. Since I'm not a fan of natto in curry, I opted for the usual chicken with 10 times the vegetables. I added broccoli and eggplant as toppings. The soup curry here had a lot of spices, which was different from other Hokkaido-style soup curries I've tried. It felt a bit lacking for my taste. Even at 10 times spiciness, it was just moderately hot, so I feel like 15 or 20 times would be better. The vegetable toppings were not deep-fried, so it felt a bit unsatisfying. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

It seems to be quite famous in Sapporo, as there were waiting customers when we arrived, and the place was constantly busy with customers coming and going. We decided to order the "Nut and Minced Meat Vegetable" curry, with "Nut" referring to natto. They recommended a spice level of 11-20, so we went with level 15. The curry had a strong natto flavor, was packed with ingredients, and had a soup-like consistency rather than a typical curry. It paired perfectly with the rice. The spice level was just right, but for those who like it spicier, you could go higher. Overall, we were delighted to enjoy the popular curry from Sapporo's renowned restaurant.
