When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, and it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication specifically for my rare disease yet. I had to be hospitalized for rare disease treatment again in April-May, following my hospitalizations in September and January last year. Your supportive comments were a source of strength for me during my hospital stay, and I am truly grateful. After receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, I had to wait two weeks before continuing my treatment. At the July appointment, it was decided that I would be hospitalized in August, two weeks after completing the second vaccine dose. Prime Minister Suga stated that vaccinations for those aged 65 and over would be completed by July this year, but Hokkaido has the lowest vaccination rates in the country for both the first and second doses. The Pfizer vaccine is announced to be cut by 10% nationwide, with only 30% of the expected quantity arriving in Sapporo due to further cuts. Despite delays, events like the Olympic marathon will be held in Sapporo. According to the news, it is impossible to complete elderly vaccinations in Sapporo by the end of July. The 70% reduction seems to be the highest in the country, which is seven times the national average reduction rate. What could be the reason for such a significant reduction? Thank you for your continued support. [August 2021] This is my fifth review, so I will keep it light. "Myojyaya Honpo Seimaru" in Sapporo is a shop that mainly sells "homemade mentaiko," a rare product in Sapporo. They use local sake from the owner's hometown of "Okushiri Island" in their marinade. The shop opened on July 29, 2020. The regular closing day used to be Wednesday but has been changed to Sunday. When I asked the owner before, he said that there is less foot traffic on Sundays in this area, so he made the change. I visited a little after 2 pm on a weekday. There were no customers before or after me, but there were many products being shipped out. Inside the shop, there is an impressive refrigerated case with three types of fresh mentaiko lined up. They have started selling "onigiri" and "sandwiches" using mentaiko, a new product since my last visit. On the day of my visit, there were a few left. Since my last visit, they have also been selling a new product, "Yuzu-flavored mentaiko in a small pack of four, with mentaiko soup inside for 1600 yen." I was a bit hesitant, but I decided to buy the same shop's original "Yuzu-flavored mentaiko" again this time. The pack contains three pieces, as before. I chose three pieces from the refrigerated case, where they looked good, and had the owner pack them for me. The pack is sealed, so you have to cut it open to eat. The product label has been placed on top of the pack since my last visit. ■ Yuzu-flavored mentaiko Weight: Actual measurement 323g (after removing the wind bag) Breakdown: 113g, 107g, 104g, approximately 108g per piece. They use large, high-quality pieces of mentaiko. It has a subtle and faint yuzu flavor that doesn't overpower. It has a sticky and mature taste. They use their original marinade made with sake from Okushiri. Since it is fresh, it has a strong umami flavor. Shelf life: Can be stored frozen for 4 days. Price for 3 pieces in a pack: 1500 yen (tax included) "Yuzu-flavored mentaiko" is a delicious large-bellied mentaiko. Just like last time, it has a really good taste. It's no wonder, considering it's from the owner. It's so delicious that there's no other way to describe it. It's great as a side dish with alcohol or rice. Normally, this size of product costs around 1000 yen for 100g. Even sliced, it costs around 600-700 yen for 100g. This pack contains 323g and costs 1500 yen including tax. It's priced at about half the regular price, at 464 yen per 100g. It's a shop that mentaiko lovers will find irresistible. I wonder which mentaiko I should try next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.
