I had decided on this place for the night in Sapporo. It was a bit hard to find, but with the help of a convenience store clerk, I finally discovered it. Upon entering through a small entrance, I found a cozy little restaurant with a counter seating for 6 and 2 box seats. I sat at the counter and ordered a drink. For starters, I was served kimchi and pickles, and for the main course, I left it up to the chef's choice. Today's special was fillet, so I ordered that as well. First, I tried the salt seasoning. I had a platter of tongue, foreleg, hind leg, shoulder loin, and other cuts. The meat had no strong odor and was cooked rare, allowing for a high-quality dining experience. Next, I tried a platter of three different sauces: salt, soy sauce, and others. These were also of high quality. I will definitely visit again.

On the second night in Sapporo, I went to a Genghis Khan restaurant in Susukino with my friends. Although they couldn't seat us on time for our reservation and made us wait outside in the cold, the staff turned out to be very nice afterwards. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was cozy and casual. We started with a toast with Toribee and placed our order. We tried various cuts of lamb including the "secret menu" fillet, Icelandic loin, raw lamb, shoulder loin, lamb tongue, French lamb rack (lamb chops), kalbi, and salted lamb. We also enjoyed Sapporo Classic beer. The restaurant serves freshly cut lamb meat from Icelandic Suffolk sheep, which you can grill on charcoal grills at your table. All the cuts we tried were delicious and had no gaminess. The lamb chops were thick and juicy, and the lamb kalbi was incredibly flavorful with its marbling. This was my first time spending over 10,000 yen on Genghis Khan, but it was worth it as we enjoyed plenty of beer and had a great time. When I mentioned that I came from Nagoya, the owner was surprised as he had taught someone at a Genghis Khan restaurant in Kami-Toyota. It's interesting how everything is connected. The owner even saw us off outside, which was a nice gesture. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a small restaurant with a counter for 6 seats and a tatami room that can accommodate about 10 people. The staff are very lively and the atmosphere is fun. I made a reservation for 6 pm, but the restaurant was already full, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. The meat is very fresh and the vegetables like garlic sprouts and asparagus are also delicious. The Hokkaido brand onions are sweet and incredibly tasty. Even if you're not sure about the meat, I recommend asking the staff for recommendations and trying a variety of dishes.

I visited a recommended Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant with a friend during my first expedition to Hokkaido. The restaurant was constantly busy with customers coming and going, showing its popularity. We ordered beer and the recommended dishes from the staff. Various cuts of fresh lamb were served, with the lamb being freshly cut behind the scenes. Following the staff's advice, we quickly seared each cut of lamb, except for the lamb rack, and tasted them. All cuts were delicious without any gamey taste, but the fillet stood out with its strong umami flavor and deliciousness. The lamb rack was cooked for about 15 minutes and carefully flipped before tasting. It was incredibly delicious, with a concentration of sweetness and umami from the fat. I have tried lamb at various restaurants, but the lamb here was one of the most delicious I have ever had in my life! If I have the chance to visit Hokkaido again, I will definitely come back to this restaurant!

The restaurant is about a 3-5 minute walk from Susukino Station. I was a bit hesitant about trying Genghis Khan, but it had a unique flavor without any strong smell. The meat was tender and light, and I found myself wondering why I had avoided it before. It was delicious. I don't have much to say about it now, but I hope to be able to talk more about it next time. Thank you for the meal.

I went to eat alone at a restaurant on Friday after midnight and even though it was fully booked, I was lucky to get a seat. The staff were kind and made me feel at ease. It was my first time having Mongolian barbecue alone! It wasn't incredibly delicious, but the plain rice and odorless Mongolian barbecue with kimchi and Sapporo Classic beer were amazing. They use black-faced sheep and cut it in the back every time. I also liked sitting at the counter seat.

Enjoy a variety of Icelandic lamb cuts with different seasonings as recommended. Icelandic lamb is lean and crispy, making it a delicious choice. Most cuts are seasoned with a special seaweed salt, which enhances the flavor. Occasionally, they are served with a fruity sauce, which is also tasty. Despite the hot summer days in Sapporo, the air conditioning is effective, but reservations are essential.

Genghis Khan here is a bit pricey compared to others. The staff explains the menu before ordering, which tends to focus on the more expensive options. If you just want a regular Genghis Khan, you might be better off going elsewhere. However, they do offer a unique and high-quality meat selection that is worth trying if you're looking for a more upscale Genghis Khan experience. Thank you for the meal.

During the day, we had lunch at Hanamaru in Nemuro around 13:30 to line up. We used it for dinner after eating sushi like demons. Our reservation time here was from 17:45! Recommended sets (excluding lamb chops, due to stomach condition) include Classic Sashimi and Galana Soda, among others! Anyway, none of us were very hungry, just meat that we could eat! The raw meat, including the fatty parts, was really easy to eat yet full of flavor. The sauce side was rare for kalbi, so it was easy to eat, but we reached our limit at the end... We apologize for leaving some of this delicious lamb uneaten as we may have eaten too much.

I finally managed to visit this place after not being able to make a reservation last time. The lamb from Iceland was delicious without any unpleasant smell, especially the fillet was amazing! The recommended style here is to eat it with salt, not sauce. You need to have confidence in the meat to do this. It's absolutely amazing when you eat it with minced wasabi on top. The vegetables were also fresh, sweet, and delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the asparagus and potatoes (Kitakari), but they are definitely recommended.

I went to eat Genghis Khan in Sapporo, a gourmet experience that I rarely have the chance to enjoy. The restaurant has limited seating, with only 6 counter seats and around 4 table seats, so reservations are necessary, especially on weekends. I ordered the recommended cuts of meat, trying a variety of different parts including scallops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The meat was cooked rare and had a light flavor, with little to no gamey taste, making it easy to enjoy. The standout feature was the salt seasoning, a unique blend created by the owner. The onions were also delicious, a true taste of Hokkaido. While there weren't many side dishes, if you're looking to simply enjoy delicious Genghis Khan, this place comes highly recommended.

It was fun to be able to choose cuts like tongue, skirt steak, and loin! When you leave it up to the staff, they bring a variety of cuts, so even if you're not familiar with the different cuts, you can still order confidently! After trying a variety of cuts, they switch to seasoned Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) which allows you to enjoy without getting bored. The meat is freshly grated and can even be enjoyed slightly rare, which is nice! Also, the unique smell of Genghis Khan is minimal, so I think even beginners or those who are not fond of it can enjoy it!

In Susukino, when it comes to Genghis Khan, the old "Daruma" has been famous for a long time, and both the main store and branch stores always have long lines. I randomly walked into this restaurant, and even though it was fully booked, they said they could squeeze me in for just one hour if I didn't mind. I ended up sitting in a tight spot in the restaurant. Looking at the menu, the quality seemed quite high. I tried the raw lamb, loin, and shoulder, and all the meat was flavorful without any gamey taste. Compared to Japanese beef, lamb has less fat, which is nice because it's not too sweet. I finished everything quickly, almost like it was all-you-can-eat, and left the restaurant exactly after one hour.

It was cold, so I went on a gourmet tour in Sapporo. On Saturday night, I had a reservation at a Genghis Khan restaurant that I booked through Tabelog. They explained about the different cuts of meat and origins, so I decided to leave it up to them! I tried the tongue, loin (Iceland vs Australia), raw lamb, and fillet. The fillet, which I don't have a separate photo of, was surprisingly juicy even though it had no fat. The Australian loin that I usually eat has a distinctive smell, but I felt like the Icelandic one had less of that. As for the tongue, I couldn't really tell what I was eating... Overall, it was delicious. But I didn't realize until I chose it that it was from Iceland, not Hokkaido. Maybe it's not necessary for tourists to have Icelandic meat... I should look for lamb meat from Hokkaido instead. However, it's convenient to be able to make reservations online. Especially for busy weekends, I think it's a good idea. There were no partitions between seats and the spacing was a bit tight. The bill was a bit on the expensive side. If they had this restaurant in Tokyo, I would definitely visit again.

A couple of friends from Osaka visited, and we had a reservation for 6:00 PM but had to wait for 15 minutes. The explanations were detailed and easy to understand, but there was a pushy sales vibe. The food was delicious, but it felt like a waste. We didn't order it, but a plate of Genghis Khan with sauce arrived for three people. We were already somewhat full, but we cooked it anyway because we were having a good time chatting. We couldn't finish it all. We had 2-3 drinks each, and the bill came to ¥22,000. They saw us off, but their energy was hard to follow. They seemed like nice people, but it was a bit overwhelming. It felt like they were in a rush. Thank you for the meal.

In Sapporo, there is a restaurant that purchases Icelandic lamb exclusively, making it a rare find in the area. Due to this, the menu is mainly based on the recommendations of the restaurant, although there are some options available. Customers are served with a selection of 3 types of meat for solo diners or 6 types for pairs, with additional choices left to the discretion of the staff. During my visit, I tried the fillet, salted lamb, and kalbi as part of the basic set, with added scallops and asparagus. The meat was cooked carefully, with a perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. While the lamb had no distinct taste, the kalbi was rich in fat and had a delicious charred flavor. I enjoyed two beers and the total bill came to 6500 yen, which was reasonable for the rare lamb served. This restaurant is perfect for those who are not accustomed to Genghis Khan cuisine or prefer lamb with minimal gaminess. Due to its popularity, reservations are a must, as walk-in customers are usually turned away. It's advisable to book in advance when dining at a Genghis Khan restaurant in Susukino.

The meat is delicious anyway. It may not be recommended for those who prioritize cost performance because it costs a certain amount. Icelandic lamb may be rarer than Hokkaido Suffolk. Isn't all meat from Iceland, like at a yakiniku restaurant, where there are various cuts to enjoy? I tried lamb tongue for the first time. It costs as much as a decent yakiniku restaurant, but it's delicious.

We visited the restaurant with three people and had a 9-course chef's selection menu, along with 2 French lamb racks for each person. We also had 2 drinks each, totaling around 19,000 yen. The meat was incredibly delicious, completely changing the concept of Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) - it was definitely Genghis Kaarrrn! The heat from the brazier in front of us made us sweat non-stop, like undergoing austerities. When we finished and stepped outside, it felt like our bodies had been rejuvenated in a sauna. The cool breeze outside was so refreshing.

I tried Genghis Khan for the first time! The staff recommended delicious cuts of meat. I was worried about eating so much, but it wasn't heavy at all, so I finished it all in no time! The original salt seasoning was also delicious, I felt like I could just eat rice with salt alone. I would love to visit again when I go to Hokkaido!

I want to eat delicious food when I travel to Hokkaido! I don't like waiting in line, so I prefer to make reservations, but there are few Genghis Khan restaurants that accept reservations! I was grateful that this restaurant allowed reservations. The staff were very nice and they served a variety of cuts so I could compare and enjoy different parts of the meat! It was delicious!! ⭐️5⭐️I want to go back. I love it so much that I almost don't want to tell anyone. ⭐️4⭐️I would recommend this restaurant if asked. ⭐️3⭐️I might go again. ⭐️2⭐️I would prefer to try a different restaurant. ⭐️1⭐️Personally, I do not recommend it. 🧍‍♀️Instagram @tokyo_gourmet_yokutaberuko Eat Log: A girl who eats a lot/Tokyo gourmet My Instagram only introduces restaurants with a rating of 4 or 5 stars on Eat Log.

The freshness is high, and there is absolutely no smell, so the staff at the restaurant recommend eating it with just salt. It is very delicious when eaten with the special blended salt (flavored salt and pepper) that contains 20 different types of salt. Many places try to mask the smell with sauce and garlic, but this restaurant competes head-on with the quality of the ingredients using salt. The meat can even be eaten raw, so the best way to cook it is to grill it for 30 seconds on each side. The sauce is available, but it is lighter than the typical Genghis Khan sauce because it has a hint of vinegar, so it may not be suitable for those who prefer to eat it with a lot of rice. It's no wonder that Nobukobu Yoshimura recommends it. In terms of different cuts, the soft texture of lamb tongue, the moderate fat and complete lack of odor in the lamb shoulder, and the thickness of the loin are personally recommended. If you're unsure, the "assorted set for 5,000-6,000 yen" recommended by the staff is also a good choice. This popular restaurant requires reservations, but if you feel like going on a whim, after 11:00 PM is a relatively good time. There are almost no downsides, but just one thing to note - the prices are about 1.3 times higher than those of regular famous restaurants.
