I had been to this restaurant a few times since it opened, but I lost track of when to write a review (lol). It's already such a popular place that I almost feel like there's no need for me to review it. Reservations for prime time need to be made at least a week in advance, so I recommend going during off-peak times or later in the evening. I always go for the all-you-can-drink option with beer and sake, starting with the same amazing fry appetizer from the previous restaurant. For food, the sashimi or smoked sashimi platter is a must. The oysters are delicious grilled or raw, but I personally recommend them raw. And you absolutely have to try the tendon tempura, which has become a specialty. You'd be missing out if you don't try it. Also, something I've been personally recommending lately is the grilled collar and pickled fish platter. It's very reasonably priced yet incredibly delicious. The fat content and flavor are amazing. Pair it with a good sake, and it's like heaven (lol). It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Thank you for the delicious meal! ☆彡

On a regular day at 21:15, three of us visited the restaurant. It was quite crowded. The drinking party Yuran had made a reservation for a la carte dishes and single item all-you-can-drink. This seems to be a popular restaurant in Susukino that Yuran has visited a few times, and it appears that the chef who used to work at Torata in Susukino has opened his own place. That's why we decided to have tonight's feast here. We started with a classic toast. The appetizer was fried horse mackerel, which is typical of Torata style. The all-you-can-drink menu includes local sake from Hokkaido, as well as Napori sour and Yubari melon sour, which seem appealing even to tourists. Let's try them right away. We ordered three Haporosan Botan shrimp for 380 yen each. The rich miso flavor and the sweet, melty flesh are delicious. The Botan shrimp is so tasty! I also want to try the delicious Budou shrimp... The mixed plate of three types of live shellfish: Erimo scallop, Matsumae sea urchin, and Tomakomai surf clam. Yuran loves all of them! The crunchy texture and the aroma of the sea are strong in the Matsumae sea urchin, the soft and sweet scallop is so tender, and the surf clam has a good crunch and a superb sweetness. I can't get enough of these! Shellfish lovers will love it. I also like this crunchy seaweed. The charcoal-grilled Miyama chicken from Niikappu town, topped with plenty of mountain wasabi, is unique to Hokkaido. The chicken meat is quite resilient, which Yuran doesn't particularly like... I didn't like the taste of the charcoal on this one... The smoked and grilled Pacific herring sashimi is also typical of Torata style. The fatty fish melts in the mouth, and the small bones are not a big deal. It was amazing when eaten with a hint of yuzu pepper! It goes well with sake. The smelt roe tempura was quite large, making me crave for rice. I wish it was a bit smaller and the saltiness was milder. And the batter was not crispy, but rather heavy. Fritter? Finally, we went to a sake bar and had a great time. The music was a bit loud, but they noticed and turned it down. The chatty waiter seemed to think I liked chatting and talked about this and that, but I don't remember (laughs). With all the eating and drinking, it cost about 4,000 yen per person, which is a good value. It's a popular restaurant, so we couldn't stay long and moved on to the next place. That's how it went.

The seafood was delicious! The quality for this price? The cost performance was amazing. The oysters were large with no fishy smell, the sashimi was fresh and tasty. I especially love sea urchin, and it was sweet and delicious. The whelk was also very tasty. The grilled alfonsino was impressive and delicious. I will definitely come back again.

Visited Toratano Koro for the second time since becoming independent. Apologies for the superficial review last time. Opted for the 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course again this day. As soon as we sat down, a plate of fresh oysters and a large sashimi assortment were served. The sea urchin was top-notch and no MSG was used. I asked how they manage to maintain this quality and still stay profitable, to which they replied confidently that they are indeed profitable, as evidenced by the fact that they recently opened a separate establishment on the 7th floor. This new branch just opened not too long ago, right? I've been traveling to izakayas all over the country, and I believe Toratano Koro offers the best value for its quality in Japan. It's likely to become a difficult-to-reserve spot in the near future.

Hokkaido shark, botan shrimp, mackerel sashimi, Ezo deer tataki, and smelt roe tempura are all delicious. The variety of Japanese sake is great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is lively. The staff are efficient and helpful, with one cute staff member named Sugichan. Overall, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the sake is tasty.

I made a reservation and visited over the weekend. The fried horse mackerel was served as an appetizer. I chose sashimi, sushi, and corn tempura. Everything was delicious, especially the fried dishes! The shrimp sashimi was also good. It seems like reservations are necessary because it was crowded. They also have a wide variety of drinks available!

The head chef opened his own restaurant and in just 4 months, it has become a success! To celebrate the grand opening, my wife and I went on a trip to Hokkaido, visiting the restaurant "Isshou" which specializes in local sake and Hokkaido ingredients. We contacted them in advance and asked for the chef's choice menu. When we arrived, the restaurant was bustling with customers and fully booked. My usual spot at the corner of the counter was reserved for us. We were excited to try Hokkaido ingredients! The first dish was a sashimi platter with fresh ingredients like fatty tuna, saury, abalone, button shrimp, bonito tataki, octopus head, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, and saltwater purple sea urchin. All the dishes were fresh and delicious, but my favorite was the fatty tuna sashimi, a must-have when in Hokkaido. The saltwater purple sea urchin was also a seasonal delight. We enjoyed some sake from Hokkaido, including my favorite limited edition sake from Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery. We also had delicious dishes like flower crab sashimi from Nemuro, which my wife loved, and grilled king crab. The thick and fatty king crab was incredibly tasty. We also tried seasonal tempura with thick asparagus, corn, and eggplant, all sweet and delicious. The main dish was venison, which was a bit too much for the two of us. We ordered highballs and enjoyed the meal. We couldn't finish the sushi, so we ended the meal with miso soup. The chef's skills have improved since the previous restaurant, and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you for the hospitality and delicious meal. It was a wonderful experience.

I often travel around the country on business trips and have the opportunity to visit various delicious izakayas. Among them, this place is the best. They offer a wide variety of Hokkaido ingredients and local sake. There is also a counter, making it easy for solo diners to visit. The appetizer is fried horse mackerel, which pairs well with the first beer that many customers order. A must-try dish here is the smoked and seared sashimi, which brings out the best in the quality of the ingredients. It is incredibly delicious. Today, I also had thick oysters from Akkeshi, which were full of flavor. I also ordered the autumn swordfish sashimi, which was served with soy sauce and shichimi pepper by a fisherman. It was delicious. I also tried the grilled Atka mackerel today, which had a soft texture and a pleasant aroma. The lineup of Japanese sake is extensive, with a focus on local sake. With so many dishes that pair well with sake, I tend to drink too much. The owner is also wonderful, making it a pleasant place to spend time.

A izakaya located in the same building as Hatcho. All dishes are delicious! The sashimi platter and oysters are especially tasty! You can also order the two-hour all-you-can-drink option for 2000 yen per person. The highlight is being able to enjoy Ezo venison. I ordered the inner thigh tataki, and it was incredibly delicious with the full flavor of the venison.

The course seemed really good and I had been aiming to go there for a while. Finally, my wish came true! I had the 5000 yen course. I love fresh oysters, and you can tell the freshness just by looking at them. The taste did not disappoint! The salad of the day was delicious as well. The dressing was tasty and different from the usual salads, it was surprisingly delicious. The sashimi platter with big button shrimps was amazing! So luxurious and delicious! I was able to choose between a platter of pickled fish and grilled Atka mackerel, so I got both. The mackerel was big and delicious, and the pickled fish was also great. Unfortunately, they didn't have deer meat, so I had the charcoal-grilled local chicken instead, which was very tender. The seafood chirashi roll was easy to eat and satisfying. The grandma's fish head soup was a unique touch! Not only the taste, but also the portion size was satisfying. Nowadays, some restaurants serve dishes meant for sharing between two people or even charge for individual portions, but this place provided a proper amount of food, which I appreciated. It was a popular spot, even on weekdays it was full. I was surprised by the constant flow of customers. I'm glad I made a reservation in advance! It seems like everyone knows about this place. It's a restaurant where you can feel the essence of Hokkaido even if you're from mainland Japan. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The sashimi was thick and delicious! Next, I chose the assortment of pickled fish, which included Soy Sauce-marinated Atka Mackerel, Smoked Yellowtail with Soy Sauce, and Soy Sauce-marinated Okhotsk Atka Mackerel. They were all incredibly tasty. I usually don't like dishes like Soy Sauce-marinated fish, but the pickled fish here was on another level! The quality and variety of the food, paired with the option for all-you-can-drink, felt like a great deal! I wanted to try more dishes, but the fish was so thick and filling that by the time the thick roll arrived, I was already quite full. It was an incredibly satisfying course! I arrived in Sapporo late and managed to get into the restaurant just before closing time. I didn't have high expectations since I rushed in without much thought, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients were fresh, both the fish and vegetables. The grilled dishes were juicy and flavorful, while the fried dishes had a delicate seasoning that allowed the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. If you're thinking of going to a typical chain izakaya, it's worth paying a little extra to dine here instead.

Reservations are a must as it is always packed. The all-you-can-drink option is 2000 yen for 4 drinks or more, making it a great deal. They also offer a PREMIUM course where you can order everything on the menu. The appetizer, fried horse mackerel, is crispy and tasty. All dishes made with local Hokkaido ingredients are delicious, but the "sujiko tempura" is a must-try! The limited edition Hanasaki crab from Nemuro is incredibly sweet and satisfying. The large salt-grilled kinmedai is not on the menu, but they can make it upon request. The new item, "toriwasa" made with local chicken, is a must-eat! I wanted to find a new restaurant to try in Susukino, so I decided to visit one. I was very indecisive about what to order, as they had a menu filled with Hokkaido's fresh seafood and mountain delicacies. I was surprised to see they had tempura made with salmon roe, and when I cautiously tried it, I found it to be a perfect dish to enjoy with sake. I definitely want to visit this place again when I go to Hokkaido.

On this day, there were about 5 of us sharing various dishes, so we were able to try a lot of different dishes and were very satisfied♡♡ The appetizer was the classic fried horse mackerel! It was so crispy and delicious, freshly fried. The signature dish at One Smile, "Ikura Tempura," is really delicious! It goes well with sake, but also with beer! A dish I tried for the first time from the grand menu was the "Ankake Fried Cheese." It uses mozzarella cheese and has a strong flavor that I really like! It has a lingering deliciousness like blue cheese! It's definitely a great snack with alcohol☆ From the recommended items of the day, I ordered the "Sawara with Kochi Lemon" that was recommended. It was so refreshing and perfect for summer! The "Dadacha Beans" had a richer flavor than regular edamame and I liked it! The "Corn Tempura" was sweet and delicious! The "Grilled Young Corn" was sweet and delicious, allowing you to taste the natural sweetness of the vegetables! The drink selection was abundant, and the beer was classic and ice-cold, delicious, and the recommended sake from the master was rare and delicious, so I was very satisfied! I was even able to witness the presentation of a congratulatory gift from the members who came with me, and it made me feel warm and happy! It was such a thoughtful congratulatory gift! ★Sapporo, Izakaya★ I visited this place during my trip to Sapporo at night! It was a hot day in Sapporo and the air conditioning was not very effective, but the food was excellent. The sweet corn tempura was exceptionally sweet and delicious, and the octopus head had a crunchy texture that was also delicious. Everything was made with ingredients from Hokkaido and was very tasty. I will definitely come back again!

I've recently become obsessed with fried horse mackerel. The ones here are incredibly delicious! On this day, it was after some drinking somewhere. Luckily, there was one seat available! The young corn was surprisingly big and deliciously sweet. Young corn lovers will be thrilled. Before we knew it, my partner had ordered crab. How luxurious! The hair crab was incredibly delicious. The surf clam sashimi and tsubu sashimi went straight into our daughter's stomach... Oh, and the rice balls too. Everything we ate was delicious. We'll definitely go back. Thank you for the feast!

The three types of shellfish served were scallops, surf clams, and scallops. Each one was fresh and delicious. The recommended smoked dish by the chef was rich in flavor and paired perfectly with local sake. The staff were friendly and made us feel like we were truly enjoying Hokkaido.
