Located along the Susukino River, there is a restaurant called Yellow (soup curry yellow) on a street just off the main road. For adventurers unfamiliar with this area, having the invincible item iPhone can make reaching the destination easy, sometimes even feeling like teleportation. Using Google Maps, I navigated through a narrow gap between buildings from the parking lot and arrived right next to the restaurant. The path seemed blocked off, and there were cars parked there, indicating that not many people would normally come to the restaurant from this route. The difficulty level made it feel like a mission impossible, but I managed to reach the restaurant without moving or touching anything, although I took the normal sidewalk route back when leaving. The most popular dish, Chicken Vegetable Curry, claimed to be the number one, was my choice. I opted for medium spiciness, normal rice, and added extra vegetables as part of the lunchtime service. The broth had a rich taste with a hint of oil film, a unique blend of pork bones, chicken bones, aromatic vegetables, and seafood stock. The 13 types of spices used are changed seasonally. The curry had a spicy kick with a good balance of flavors. The crispy sweet potato, broccoli tempura, and okra were delicious sides that complemented the curry well. The chicken was tender and seasoned just right, making it easy to eat. The rice was also satisfying. According to the restaurant's official website, they use a high-pressure kettle to extract the soup at 136°C and 3.2 atmospheres, ensuring that the ingredients' flavors are fully extracted. This attention to detail and deliciousness made Yellow one of the soup curry restaurants I would love to visit again. Restaurant Information: Yellow (soup curry yellow) Elm Building 1F, 1-12-19 Minami 3 Jonishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido

I entered the restaurant at 7:00 PM on a weekday. The place was a bit crowded, but I didn't have to wait to be seated. I tried the yellow soup curry that I had been wanting to eat for a long time. I ordered the most popular dish, chicken and vegetable curry with a spice level of 3.5. I added quail eggs and fried onions as toppings. The chicken was tender and the mild soup was delicious. Even though the spice level was 3.5, it was quite spicy. My companion ordered a spice level of 4 and was visibly sweating.

Tofu curry, level 2, with regular rice. Extra vegetables (broccoli, okra, sweet potato). It had been a long time since I last had Yellow's tofu curry, and even at level 2, it was quite spicy. The portion was also more than it looked. Good value for money. The dish was packed with a variety of vegetables including potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, eggplants, and baby corn. It also had tofu and quail eggs, making it a healthy lunch choice. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Yellow. I had been there three times before and thought I could handle spiciness level 3, so I ordered vegetable curry with spiciness level 4 and Yuzu lassi. Level 4 was spicy. The lassi did a good job and made it delicious. Next time, I will look for something around level 3.5. Thank you for the meal.

On the third day of my trip to Hokkaido, I lined up before the opening of a highly recommended soup curry restaurant by the market's older brother. I quickly got a seat and chose the chicken with extra vegetables. The broccoli was fragrant, the potatoes were fluffy, and the okra, baby corn, carrots, and other fresh vegetables were delicious. I also enjoyed a classic beer with my meal. It's clear why this place is so popular. I highly recommend it.

This is a review for a dinner during a trip to Sapporo. The stylish restaurant has spacious seating, creating a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the Pork Kakuni Curry for 1,400 yen and the Strawberry Lassi for 400 yen. I chose level 3 for spiciness. The curry, which is a shade between white and yellow, contains large chunks of pork kakuni, carrots, potatoes, eggplant, quail eggs, and baby corn. The curry starts off with a milky taste but gradually spreads a spicy kick in your mouth. It has a light flavor and is a soup curry that you can't stop eating once you start. The turmeric rice comes with a lemon that you can squeeze on top, adding a nice touch. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the first stop of the day for soup curry in Sapporo. Arrived around 1:00 PM on a Sunday, alone. There was a line, waited for about 20-30 minutes. The restaurant has about 5-6 counter seats and around 10 two-person tables in the back. It's totally fine to go alone. I ordered the chicken vegetable curry with rice and cheese topping. I chose a spice level of 5. At first, it was spicy! But as I kept eating, I got used to the spiciness. Maybe 7 is the limit for me. The soup was slightly cloudy with a strong punch of flavor.

Arrived at 12:30 and as expected, it was a popular restaurant! There were about 20 people waiting in line in front of us, but the turnover was good so we only had to wait for a little over 30 minutes before entering. Inside the restaurant, there were 6 waiting chairs, 6 counter seats, and at the back there were 10-12 tables for 4 people and 2 tables for 2 people. Either way, you have to wait in line. I ordered the popular No.1 dish, the chicken curry. I chose the level of spiciness as 3. It took a bit longer, about 25 minutes, for the curry to arrive, maybe because there was some turnover happening at that time? The curry arrived! Even though it says it doesn't contain coconut, it looks like it does (゚д゚) Enjoying the chunks of vegetables, I dug into the curry. It had a solid base typical of soup curry. However, what sets it apart from other restaurants is the spices or herbs that give it a light and refreshing aftertaste. It was delicious ( ´ ▽ ` ) I kept eating and before I knew it, I had finished it all! Thank you for the meal, I will definitely visit again.

Sapporo sightseeing is enjoyable with soup curry. Even though there are soup curry restaurants all over the country now, it still feels more delicious to eat in Sapporo because the vegetables are tasty. Vegetable curry for 1,300 yen and plain lassi for 350 yen. I visited this restaurant for the first time because I wanted to try it. It was delicious as the reviews said, but personally, I prefer it less milky, haha. The lassi could have been a bit sweeter. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived in Sapporo on Friday afternoon, checked into the hotel, and came here for lunch. It was delicious, so I came back with 5 friends. We arrived around 1 pm and had to wait for about 30 minutes as there were 6 people ahead of us. It seems like the prices have gone up, but the menu and quality remain the same. This time, I ordered the Bacon Steak Curry (bacon + cabbage + basic vegetables, 1,400 yen) with a topping of onsen tamago, spiciness level 2, and medium rice portion. It was hot and humid, so I also ordered a highball. The bacon was thick and large, providing a satisfying bite and delicious flavor on its own. The soup curry had a hint of green curry or coconut milk. The ingredients were carefully prepared, as can be seen from the presentation. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to serving. I thought spiciness level 3 might have been better, but the mild kick was still tasty. Thank you for the meal.

The other day when I went on a trip to Hokkaido, I visited a soup curry restaurant that I had been interested in for a long time! This place is listed in the top 100 curry restaurants and is very popular! I had the chicken soup curry with various toppings! I will definitely visit again!

I didn't have a reservation for Sunday lunch, but I was able to get in before 12 o'clock and the restaurant quickly became full after that. I thought I was lucky to get in without waiting, but I ended up waiting for about 30 minutes from ordering to being served. I ordered the recommended vegetable chicken curry. It was my first time trying soup curry, and I found the soup to be quite light. I was hoping for more depth of flavor and richness, so I was a little disappointed.

I tried Hokkaido soup curry for the first time. I chose a spiciness level of 3.5. It was between medium and spicy for Jawa curry. It was very delicious, but I felt a bit disappointed because I didn't taste the fluffy texture of the potatoes. It was my first time trying it, so I might be scolded for feeling that way. I might go back again after trying it at a different restaurant to make a final judgment. However, even though it was past 7 pm, the restaurant was full with customers of all ages and genders, so I believe it is definitely a good restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 5:30 pm on Sunday and was prepared to wait in line, but luckily I was able to get in smoothly. It was my first visit. The soup was cooked with meat and seafood, giving it a rich flavor, but it was not quite like traditional curry? It had a different kind of deliciousness, more like curry-flavored soup than soup curry? It was delicious but also confusing. As dinner time approached, the restaurant quickly filled up. Personally, I would have been happier if the vegetables blended more seamlessly with the curry.

I visited around 6 pm on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the Chicken Vegetable Curry (1500 yen) with a spice level of 3. I used a coupon from Tabelog and added the sweet potato mochi topping. The curry was surprisingly yellow in color, creamy, and very easy to eat. The spiciness was just right, not overpowering the flavor. The vegetables were soft and the carrots were sweet and delicious. I was happy to find sweet potatoes in it too! I usually wouldn't choose sweet potato mochi, but it was chewy and tasty, and I think I'm hooked. The rice was also delicious, and the lemon provided a nice touch for flavor variation. Next time, I want to try increasing the spiciness a bit and explore some unique menu items.

Sapporo Gourmet Part 2 is Soup Curry! After researching, the top choice was GARAKU, but they were closed for the day, so I ended up at another option, Yellow. It was around 7:30 pm and there was a line of about 5 groups waiting outside. Once inside, the aroma of spices immediately whetted my appetite. After a 15-minute wait, I was seated at the counter. Soup curry is known for its generous serving of vegetables, along with a variety of meats like chicken, pork, and shrimp. The menu offered many tempting options, and I decided to go with the most popular Chicken Vegetable Curry with Cheese topping. The dish arrived fairly quickly, with cheese on top of the rice and a lemon slice on the side. The vibrant yellow curry with a colorful array of vegetables looked appetizing. The well-cooked vegetables, especially the eggplant and broccoli, had a nice charred flavor. The potatoes soaked up the curry flavor well, providing a comforting taste. I chose a medium level of spiciness, which was just right for a warming sensation. The cheese topping added a nice touch of creaminess. The bone-in chicken had a good amount of meat and a tender texture that complemented the curry spices well. This soup curry, a soul food for Hokkaido locals, offered a different deliciousness compared to regular curry. It was a delightful experience that showcased the unique flavors of soup curry.

This is a soup curry restaurant in Sapporo that has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants. I lined up before opening on a weekday, but even if you line up 10 minutes before, it seems like you can get in. I had the 1st and 2nd most popular soup curry. The tender chicken and delicious chashu were excellent, and both the curry and rice were incredibly tasty! The only downside is that they only accept cash payment.

★ Gourmet Lawyer's Food Diary ★ 【Instagram】 joy_sound 【Tabelog】_Chrome_ーーーーーーーーーーーーーDelicious soup curry full of umami flavor! I visited Yellow, located near Susukino in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. This restaurant is also listed in Tabelog's Top 100 Curry Shops. I visited around 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and there was a constant line, showing its popularity. The turnover is relatively slow. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Curry with chicken tenderloin, without rice. It came with two large tenderloins, along with vegetables like eggplant, bell pepper, carrot, potato, and baby corn. The soup was creamy in color, packed with the umami flavor of the vegetables, and was quite delicious. Among the soup curries I've had in Hokkaido, this one was definitely one of my favorites! Thank you for the meal!ーーーーーーーーーーーーLikes, saves, comments are all very encouraging!!

This was my second visit. I was curious about the long line at the nearby soup curry restaurant (which seems to be newly opened?), but I decided to go back to Yellow, which left a very good impression on me last time. Just like last time, the vegetables had a nice sweetness to them and were very delicious. There seemed to be a problem with the air conditioning, causing the turnover rate to slow down. I also wish they had more payment options available.

I visited in the evening during the Bon holiday. I arrived after 6 pm and there were already about 10 customers waiting in line. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I finally got a seat around 7 pm. There were signs both outside and inside the restaurant saying that credit cards were not accepted. However, about a third of the customers still asked, "Can I use a credit card?" Cashless is the way to go. I waited a while even after ordering before the food arrived. I ordered the chicken curry, which was served in a yellow soup, as the restaurant's name suggests. It was a rich tasting soup curry. The chicken and vegetables were cooked to perfection and it was delicious.

Female disciple and lunch at Soup Curry Yellow in Sapporo, Chuo-ku, Minami 3-jo Nishi 1-12-19. I tried the popular No.1 menu, Chicken Vegetable Curry with spice level 3 and cheese on rice (less rice). The owner recommended an arrangement with okra, young corn, and quail eggs to add visual and textural variety. The soup, made with seafood broth, adds depth to the flavor. The spices are not overpowering and easy to eat. The pumpkin substitute was a delightful surprise with a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inside. For those who don't like spicy food, level 1 or 2 is recommended. Level 3 may not be spicy enough for those who enjoy heat. To fully appreciate the delicate and flavorful broth, overly spicy may not be ideal. The meal is very filling, so opting for less rice might be a good choice. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast. #HokkaidoGourmet #HokkaidoLunch #HokkaidoCurry #HokkaidoSoupCurry #SapporoGourmet #SapporoLunch #SapporoCurry #SapporoSoupCurry #SoupCurry #SoupCurryYellow #ChickenVegetableCurry #ChickenVegetableCurrySpiceLevel3
