超力招来
Staying at a hotel in Asahikawa has been a recent trend for me in the past few years. Previously, Asahikawa was just a transit point for me, not a place to stay overnight. Most accommodations were youth hostels, such as Sunpiller YH in Nayoro, Moshiri-pa YH in Wakkanai, Ryuhyo no Oka YH in Abashiri, and Iwanai-betsu YH in Shiretoko Iwanai-betsu. However, after discovering a fantastic sushi restaurant called Sushi Minato in Asahikawa, I started choosing to stay in Asahikawa as much as possible. This made it convenient for me to visit Sushi Minato (laughs). Due to my age, I started feeling hesitant and confused about staying in youth hostels, so I began looking for business hotels in Asahikawa with single rooms and large communal baths. Two hotels stood out to me: Dormy Inn Asahikawa and Premier Hotel CABIN Asahikawa, which used to be Hotel Paco Asahikawa. Premier Hotel CABIN Asahikawa is more convenient due to its proximity to Asahikawa Station, making it very useful when I need to leave early in the morning. For example, last September, I departed at 4 am and arrived at Shiragin-so by 5 am for a revenge climb two days later. In this case, I woke up early to catch the 6:45 am train on the Rumoi Line. The hotel has a wonderful large communal bath, sauna, and cold water bath, perfect for refreshing oneself. After going through sauna, cold water bath, and a short break three times, I feel refreshed and ready to go out for a meal. The hot spring water is drawn directly from a natural carbonated hydrogen carbonate spring on the hotel premises. The sauna is spacious and hygienic, with a wooden design. The absence of a TV is great! Check-in starts at 3 pm, but you can start using the hot spring from 2 pm, which is very convenient. The meals are served buffet-style, featuring local ingredients from Asahikawa and surrounding areas, including the brand rice "Nanatsuboshi" made from home-grown rice. The menu includes a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, as well as local specialties like Genghis Khan and curry, and even Asahikawa ramen on certain days. You can also enjoy the buffet for an additional 1,200 yen with the room-only plan.
