I visited Sapporo for the first time in 15 years. It's a 15-minute walk from Sapporo Station. I had breakfast at this café, located on the basement 3rd floor of a building. When I arrived, there was already a line extending to the stairs. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was able to sit at the counter. The staff took my order while I was waiting in line. The staff apologized for the delay in taking orders, but they were very polite. I ordered the "Taraba crab & shrimp cutlet" (1090 yen) with a coffee set (290 yen). The shrimp cutlet sandwiched between fluffy bread was delicious, with sweet and firm shrimp. It came with tartar sauce. The Taraba crab was mixed with shredded cabbage and onion slices in dressing. It was really tasty. I could hear the cheerful banter of the kitchen staff from behind the counter, which almost made me burst out laughing. Takeout is also available.

I arrived 10 minutes before the usual opening time. There were already about 3 groups waiting in line. I was able to easily find a seat. By 10:30, the place was full, so it's best to go right when they open. I ordered the limited-time Shine Muscat, but I thought the Taraba crab was the most delicious, so those who are starting should order the Taraba crab. The bread was fluffy.

In the evening, I was planning to have yakiniku so I decided to go light for lunch. With the help of a local guide, I visited Saela for the first time. There were customers waiting, but we were seated promptly (maybe they were for takeout?). The menu was overwhelming with choices, so I ended up ordering the classic egg and potato sandwich for 650 yen, along with a set coffee for 290 yen. It took a while for the order to come out, probably because it was busy. The coffee was light and reminiscent of American coffee, and the sandwich was soft and moist, quite delicious.

When it comes to sandwiches in Sapporo, Sandoria is super famous, but when I heard from an acquaintance that this place is also popular, I visited only to find it sold out and closed. Oh no! It was still before 4 pm! Oh well, nothing I can do now. I decided to come back another time. And today, I finally went at around 1:30 pm. I thought the peak hours would be over by then, but the store was still very crowded! There were a few people in line. It was impressive. I patiently waited in anticipation. There were 4 staff members and the owner working, a total of 5 people. Please note that this place is cash only. Egg & Corned Beef Sandwich (650 yen): Eggs are essential when talking about sandwiches, right? Let's start with the standard option. Despite being busy and the owner handling most of the orders, the service was quite fast, maybe around 15 minutes. First, let's talk about the appearance of the egg. It was impressive, no complaints there. I took the first bite. The bread was soft and fine-textured! This first touch was amazing. The bread was delicious. The egg was average, but the butter spread on it added a nice touch, creating a good balance. As for the corned beef, it was okay, nothing special. Fruit & Shrimp Cutlet Sandwich (890 yen): I really wanted to try the king crab, but sadly it was sold out. So, I opted for the shrimp cutlet instead. The combination with fruits was a bit strange, but it made sense later on. Let's start with the shrimp cutlet. Delicious! It was still warm. Not piping hot, but still warm enough to retain the freshness of being just fried. Even though they were small shrimps, there was a nice firmness to them. And the generous amount of tartar sauce was a masterpiece. Now, onto the fruits. After eating two pieces of the shrimp cutlet, I felt the need for something sweet. A dream collaboration. One bite. Delicious! The cream was real! The cream used in fruit sandwiches before always felt a bit lacking, but this one was the real deal. And it paired perfectly with the bread. I highly recommend this combination. I was so impressed by these sandwiches. I ended up ordering too much and had to take some home (except for the fried items, they allow takeout). It turned out to be a fantastic lunch. The owner and the staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was great. Next time, I'll come in the morning to try the king crab. I recommend this place for breakfast during your Sapporo trip. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely come back.

SaeRa in Sapporo, part of the cafe series in Hokkaido, was finally visited after many attempts. Unfortunately, the Taraba crab sandwich was sold out, but I didn't give up and got the Fruit & Shrimp Cutlet (to go) instead, which was delicious and filling. I also enjoyed an iced tea to escape the steamy heat outside. After cooling off, I'll go for another walk.

After visiting a pottery exhibition at Mitsukoshi, we searched on Tabelog for a nearby place to have lunch and ended up here. Luckily, we were the first in line for a table, but while waiting, more people lined up all the way up the stairs. It's such a popular place! We were given the menu while waiting, and with so many options, it was hard to decide. After discussing, my family of three each ordered something different and shared. The toast sandwich had a strong buttery aroma, the shrimp cutlet was freshly fried, the vegetable sandwich and pastrami were generously filled with ingredients. The 290 yen iced coffee was also generous. Everything was delicious! I plan to keep coming back to try all the menu items!

I visited this cafe, which is a famous shop called "Saera," located about a 2-minute walk from Odori Station on the subway. It was my first visit. I arrived a little before 4 pm on a Saturday, but I was able to enter smoothly without having to wait. The tables inside were almost full, but there were seats available at the counter. There were cat figurines displayed all over the store. When I looked at the menu, the staff explained that the snow crab was sold out for the day. I saw many menu items featuring snow crab, so I understood. I ordered the Fruit & Egg sandwich and an iced coffee. The Fruit & Egg sandwich had plenty of egg and went well with the cucumber. The Fruit sandwich had lots of fruits like strawberries, apples, kiwi, and yellow peach with whipped cream, and it was delicious! The iced coffee was just average. Overall, the sandwich menu was quite extensive with unique options like snow crab and grilled corn croquette sandwiches. The atmosphere inside was very calming, and I felt very comfortable. Thank you for the meal! I would love to visit again if I have the chance!

I visited the popular café Saela, one of the top 100 cafes in Daito. It is conveniently located directly connected to the subway. Unfortunately, the famous sandwich I wanted to try was sold out, but I had a good time there. I would love to visit again if I have the chance!

I visited the restaurant around 3 pm on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the Fruit & Shrimp Cutlet Sandwich (890 yen) with a set drink of black tea (290 yen). I asked the staff for a recommendation on the sandwich. My friend ordered coffee. The sandwich was cut into small pieces so we could share. The bread was fluffy, the cutlet was crispy, and it was a satisfying portion. The black tea was delicious without any strong flavors. The atmosphere was cozy and we were able to relax and enjoy our time there.

Sapporo Gourmet Part Four. I went for lunch the day before and it was really crowded, so I went in the evening after finishing a marathon run and there were seats available right away. I ordered a grilled corn and corned beef sandwich with ice tea set. The grilled corn was like a croquette and sandwiched in the bread. The bread was delicious. The corned beef was quite ordinary, but the bread and corn were delicious.

I went after 1pm, but the king crab was sold out. I ordered shrimp cutlet and fruit sandwich. The fruit sandwich was especially delicious! The whipped cream and fruits matched perfectly! If I have the chance to visit Sapporo again, I would definitely want to go back!

★Gourmet Lawyer's Food Diary★ 【Instagram】joy_sound 【Tabelog】_Chrome_ーーーーーーーーーーーーーEnjoyed a Yubari melon and fruit sandwich at Seara located in the underground of Odori Station in Sapporo. This café is also listed in Tabelog's top 100 cafés. I had a Yubari melon, fruit sandwich, and iced coffee. The interior was quite crowded with more seats than I expected. The cream was not too sweet, allowing the sweetness of the fruits to stand out. Thank you for the meal!ーーーーーーーーーーーーLikes, saves, comments are encouraging!

When you come to Sapporo, you must try Saezuri's sandwiches. Unfortunately, when I visited, the taraba crab was sold out. I ended up eating the Yubari melon, tamagoyaki, corn croquette, and smoked salmon sandwiches, which I shared with my partner. They were all delicious, but I was especially impressed by the Yubari melon. I used to be against fruit sandwiches, but the juiciness of the Yubari melon, combined with the creaminess and softness of the bread, was amazing. I don't know when I'll be able to come back again, but next time, I will definitely try the taraba crab. I was completely satisfied this time too.

I visited around 11 am on a regular day. I waited in line for about 15 minutes, but it was worth it to eat (the turnover is fast). I ordered the "Yubari Melon & Grilled Corn Croquette Sandwich." The grilled corn croquette was crispy and hot, and the Yubari melon cream was not too sweet and light, and delicious. It might have been the first time in my life that I had such a delicious sandwich. I came back later to try the "Taraba Crab & Fruit Sandwich." The Taraba crab had a mayo flavor? It seemed like a B-class gourmet dish, but it was exquisite. I might like the fruit sandwich more than just the Yubari melon alone because I can enjoy different flavors. When I come to Sapporo, I will visit again.

During the morning of the Bon Festival, there were about 5 groups waiting in line, but the turnover was quick, so we were seated before we could decide on the menu. As expected, the fried dishes were excellent, with the shrimp cutlet sandwich being the best. The grilled corn sandwich, only available in the store, had a fresh texture and delicious taste! For dessert, we had a Yubari melon. The moist cream and juicy melon wrapped in fluffy bread were delicious! We were satisfied and full after 3 dishes for 2 people. Next time, I want to try a different menu.

Sae Rataraba Ganiga & Yaki Morokoshi Korokke is a coffee and sandwich shop. It can get crowded, so there may be a bit of a wait for your order, but the freshly made sandwiches are delicious. There are a few seats at the counter, so you can enjoy your meal without feeling self-conscious, even if you're dining alone.

Lunch at Coffee and Sandwich Shop Saera in Sapporo City Chuo Ward. Fruit Sandwich 4 pieces: Yubari Melon & Fruit x2, Grilled Corn & Ham, Grilled Corn & Potato Salad. All were delicious! As expected, the Yubari Melon and fruits were delicious, but I was surprised by how tasty the potato salad and grilled corn were. It was all very delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Today's highlight is the shrimp cutlet! It was my first time trying it and I was pleasantly surprised. It was hot, crispy, and juicy. The cabbage was just the right amount and the sauce had the perfect flavor. Of course, I couldn't leave out the Yoichi melon. This is my second time having melon this year. I'm sorry I haven't been able to write reviews often, but I usually don't bother because I can easily eat it regularly. But today, shrimp cutlet was a hit!

I finally got to visit a restaurant I've always wanted to go to. I went on a weekday at 10:30 and was able to enter smoothly. I tried the shrimp cutlet and Yubari melon sandwiches from their wide variety of sandwich menu. Both were really delicious, just as rumored. There were many solo diners like myself when I went, and it seemed like the turnover was fast.

I see. At 1:45 PM on a weekday, they announced that the king crab and chicken were sold out. It seems like the crab is indeed a popular item as rumored. The sandwich is not bad, but it's nothing special. I wonder why it's being praised so much when there are plenty of other delicious options in Sapporo. Above all, the strong and off-putting customer service made me truly uncomfortable. Well, with that kind of service, nothing would taste good anyway.

This is a café located on the underground third floor of a downtown building in Odori Park. I came here looking for the crispy pistachio dessert, but they didn't have it, which was disappointing. However, just before I felt let down, I found out they were serving my favorite Yubari melon dessert. True to its reputation, the cream even had the flavor of melon infused in it, which was amazing.
