【Completely Smoke-Free】Located on the basement 1st floor of Sapporo International Building, directly connected to Sapporo Station, is a curry house that has been around since the old days. This year marks its 50th anniversary of opening. Amazing!!! And the cute logo with an elephant ♡ The restaurant is located in the block of North 4 West 4, on the basement 1st floor of Sapporo International Building. =========== July 17, 2023, before 4 pm, revisited. This place and the yakisoba shop never seem to match timing well. Whenever I come here to eat, they are closed due to running out of rice, and I end up going to the yakisoba shop. Today is the opposite pattern. I planned to eat the 9-serving yakisoba at the yakisoba shop, but they were closed. Since today is a holiday, I tried my luck and came here, and luckily they were open (*´Д`) Ordered the Chicken Curry for 1000 yen, size Super, 900g (+250 yen). The service was quick, within a few minutes. The Super size comes in a different plate, but it doesn't feel imposing, rather a gentle appearance (#^.^#). Now, I will pour the curry generously and enjoy it (*‘∀‘). I have never tried the beef, but from my deduction, the curry here is made with vegetables, chicken, pork, and beef, each cooked separately in different pots, allowing the flavors to meld into the roux. So even if it were without ingredients, you can taste each flavor. By the way, the refill roux for the vegetable curry is the chicken curry. The spiciness and spice level are mild, with a good amount of black pepper in the curry. The chicken is shredded wings, so the roux has a good umami taste. And since the meat is shredded, it is easy to eat, with both skin and meat evenly distributed, making it not boring. With this method, the leftover bones can be simmered to make a good broth, which is even more economical. By the way, when I make chicken curry at home, I also use only chicken wings, so I'm used to the taste (lol). If you feel the ingredients are not enough, adding vegetable toppings seems like a good idea. Now, pour the curry generously and eat, repeating the process. It's nice that the staff will ask if you need a refill of the roux when it starts to run out. As for spiciness, for me, it's mildly spicy (・∀・), so those with a low tolerance for spiciness may find it spicy. I'm usually slow at eating, but on this day, I finished in just 12 minutes and didn't leave any (・・;) ===========
