I bought my usual "PALM" drink and enjoyed it while admiring the green scenery of the Hokkaido University campus. The first floor sells regular items as well as Hokkaido University goods. The second floor has an eat-in corner with outdoor tables on the rooftop, where you can enjoy Genghis Khan (grilled lamb dish). The service requires reservations a few days in advance, and on this rainy day, there were only students studying, no one having a party. The Genghis Khan set menu includes 200g of meat per person, grilled vegetables, and rice balls for two, along with a Genghis Khan pot, portable stove, gas canister, towels, paper cups, plates, and trash bags. The service is available on weekdays from 18:00 to 19:45, and on weekends and holidays from 11:00 to 12:45 and 18:00 to 19:45. You cannot bring your own drinks, but you can use items purchased from the convenience store. The set includes Genghis Khan with sauce, a pack of vegetables, and equipment such as a stove. You can purchase drinks and snacks inside the store. Once everything was prepared, we made a toast to start the meal. The breeze was pleasant, and the canned lemon sour went down smoothly. You can go downstairs to buy cold drinks when needed. It's important to note that you need to show identification to prove you are of legal drinking age when buying alcohol. The staff will inform you 15 minutes before the end time and will promptly clean up after the meal, so you can't linger. It was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

The second floor was packed with students studying in a stylish and comfortable environment with air conditioning, USB ports, and power outlets. It's a great place for students living in non-air-conditioned or cramped rooms. I bought some souvenirs from the first floor, including cookies and a Hokkaido University tumbler. The cookies were recommended by a friend and were indeed delicious. I plan to buy more at New Chitose Airport next time. Seicomart also offers unique snacks and drinks, making it a favorite spot for my son. Overall, Seicomart is a great place for both locals and tourists alike.

Lunch visit with family. Located on the Hokkaido University campus. Purchased onigiri, chicken karaage, fried chicken, etc. Ate in the second-floor dining area. Chose outdoor seating, which was warm and pleasant. The Hot Chef onigiri was also delicious, with a subtle warmth to it.

I heard that a Seicomart opened on the campus of Hokkai Gakuen University and decided to take a break there when I went out on my bike. Unlike other Seicomart stores that use orange as their main color, this store does not. It can be easy to miss if you're looking for the usual orange color. The store is located across from the Central Cafeteria. It was quite crowded with students and other customers, probably because it had just opened. The store has a terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy Genghis Khan barbecue, but it seems that it will be available in the future. I bought a "Hokkaido Haskap Yogurt Flavor (120 yen)" on the first floor and planned to eat it on the second floor, but it was busy up there. The outdoor terrace was empty, but it was too hot in the sun, so I decided to eat my ice cream on a bench in the shade in front of the store. It was delicious to have cold ice cream on a hot day. After eating the ice cream, I got thirsty, so I went back to the store and bought a "Salty Lychee from the World Kitchen (110 yen)". When I took a sip, it was lukewarm. It wasn't because I had just eaten ice cream. I didn't feel the lukewarmness when I took the juice from the fridge, so I think the juice was not completely chilled because it hadn't been in the fridge for long enough.

Mysterious Gourmet Expedition in Sapporo. The morning of our Hokkaido expedition had good weather. We stayed at an inn near Hokkaido University campus, so we went for a walk. It's so spacious and beautiful. Along the way, we found a local convenience store called Seicomart. It was beautiful surrounded by fresh greenery. Since our hotel was room-only, we decided to buy sandwiches and vegetable juice at the store and ate them on a bench outside. It felt like we were on a hiking trip. I usually don't register at convenience stores, but the atmosphere here was nice.

The portion size was small but the Ice Cocoa was delicious, making me feel happy both mentally and physically. However, the overall customer service from the staff was lacking, and there is room for improvement in that area.

I was heading back to the hotel after exploring the campus, which is a highlight on the way to the finish line of the Hokkaido Marathon I challenged last summer. On the way, I came across a Seicomart, which seems to be open 24 hours. This convenience store chain in Hokkaido has its own unique approach, with some stores not open all night, but this store was open all night. It seems to have become a lifeline for Hokkaido University students. I casually entered the store and found Hokkaido University goods displayed, and as I walked around the freshly made corner, I saw rice balls wrapped in seaweed. One of them caught my eye - it was filled with salmon roe! As someone who has decided that freshly cooked rice and salmon roe would be the last supper, I couldn't miss it and instinctively picked it up. I also got an "Egg & Menchi Roll" from the bread corner, a unique item from Seicomart. After paying, I hurried back to the hotel. Back in my room, I immediately dug into the warm salmon roe rice ball. It had a perfect taste and a fluffy texture, with an abundance of ruby-like salmon roe overflowing as soon as I took a bite. I devoured it in no time, losing my composure in the process. Delicious, salmon roe. And the Egg & Menchi Roll was as cheap as expected. Despite not having breakfast that day, I had a fulfilling morning meal. The Seicomart at Hokkaido University was really good. I was impressed by the local charm of Seicomart after a long time.

When looking for side dishes for a bento box, Seicomart is the best option. This time, I bought spinach chawanmushi, cucumber with steamed chicken (Bang Bang Ji). The price is reasonable and the taste is guaranteed. Seicomart is the best convenience store for lunch.
