Located along National Route 237 in Hiratori-cho, this restaurant offers delicious Bira-tori Wagyu beef dishes. The building has a triangular mountain hut-like appearance with a spacious parking area in front. It is listed in the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog and I had been curious about it for a while, so I decided to stop by for lunch during a hot spring drive. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and raised tatami seating, creating a cozy atmosphere. Despite it being a bit late for lunch, the restaurant was almost full, indicating its popularity. I ordered the most popular menu item, the "Hamburger & Cut Steak Set (2,580 yen)", which includes a 150g hamburger, a 100g cut steak, salad, rice, and miso soup. The dish was ready in about 10 minutes. The steak was cooked to medium and was incredibly tender, with a rich flavor of lean meat that was very delicious. While the hamburger was also tasty, I personally found the steak to be much more flavorful. I'm not sure what the difference is (perhaps in how the meat is aged?), but compared to Bira-tori Wagyu I had at other restaurants, this one tasted much better, making me understand why it is a top 100 restaurant. Considering the quality of the meat, the price is reasonable, making it a great choice when you want to enjoy delicious Bira-tori Wagyu beef.

In Hokkaido, there are two popular restaurants in Hiratori Wagyu in Hidachi-cho, both offering a variety of menus. After comparing, I decided to go to "Kuro Ushi" as they had a wider menu selection and reasonable prices. However, when I arrived, there was a sign at the entrance saying "Temporarily Closed" due to a late summer break. I had to drive 50 minutes to another area in Yubari. I arrived before opening time and was the first customer. Their most popular menu item, the Hamburger and Cut Steak Set for ¥2580, was delicious. The hamburger was soft and made with breadcrumbs soaked in milk, giving it a home-cooked feel. I was feeling a bit empty coming all the way to the mountains, especially when the owner of the nearby curry restaurant I usually visit didn't even acknowledge me and just chatted with someone else the whole time.

Biratori Wagyu BIG Burger for 2,550 yen (tax included), with free extra rice. Served hot on a hot plate. The surface is crispy, but the inside is a bit dry. The hamburger sauce is just okay. The hot tomato is delicious. The roast beef bowl has a rich meaty flavor and is tasty.

I decided to visit a famous restaurant in Hiratori-cho, but when I realized I had never been there before, I decided to extend my journey! As expected, it was extremely crowded! After receiving the call bell, I waited in my car for 30 minutes until I could enter! I ordered the most popular hamburger and cut steak set, as well as the beef cutlet set! I enjoyed the deliciousness of the Bira-tori Wagyu beef, which was incredibly tender with no sinew! And for some reason, the miso soup, which seemed to be made with bonito broth, was surprisingly delicious! This is definitely a restaurant worth waiting for, whether it's 30 minutes or an hour!

My wife and I came back to this favorite restaurant after a long time. We left from Hakodate at 5 am, and even before the restaurant opened at 11 am, there were already a few bikers waiting. This place seems to be popular among bikers on tours. I ordered the steak and hamburger set so I could have both, while my wife chose the Bira-tori Wagyu BIG hamburger. The Wagyu steak here is as delicious as ever. The hamburger is also fluffy and tasty, just like before. According to my wife, "The hamburgers here are not greasy, so they are delicious." Well, it's quite a long way from here, so who knows when we can come back again.

I visited the restaurant known as Shirazu ni Meihyakuten 2022 without knowing what to expect. I had heard that their hamburger steak was delicious, but the lunch set with hamburger steak was too expensive for me, so I decided to try their signature dish, the Janken Donburi for 1,450 yen (tax included) with pickles and miso soup. Later on, I realized they also had just the hamburger steak on the menu, so I look forward to trying that next time. The beef bowl was delicious with tender and flavorful meat. The sauce was also great. The miso soup had a rich umami flavor. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again. I paid using PayPay.

We had been there before and had a strong impression of how delicious it was, so the whole family wanted to go again. We arrived right when the restaurant opened at 11 o'clock, and it was already full. The beef ribs were sweet and very juicy, with great value for money. Everyone in the family was very satisfied.

When you search for a common restaurant name like "Rock-paper-scissors" you might come across a place that is 13 hours away by car from the Kanto region (I live in Hokkaido). The atmosphere inside the restaurant feels like a typical family-run establishment. I tried the cheese hamburger, but it was a bit salty for my taste. We were seated in a sunken kotatsu-style seating area, but it was not actually a kotatsu so I had trouble finding a place to put my feet.

On the second day of my trip to Sapporo, I went to "Jankenpon" to try the Hirauchi Wagyu beef! I arrived before the opening time and ordered the Hirauchi Wagyu cut steak and roast beef from the menu. The Hirauchi Wagyu beef was cooked perfectly and had a soft texture, with the rich flavor of Wagyu spreading in my mouth. It was not too fatty, so it felt like I could eat as much as I wanted. I finished it easily and it was delicious.

On the way to Hiratori Onsen, I searched on Tabelog and found 100 popular restaurants! The cafe-style with a friendly mama serving was very welcoming. As someone who is quite picky about meat, I must say the recommended cut steak set was delicious. The cut steak was cooked rare, allowing me to savor the sweetness of the wagyu beef with each bite. My only regret was not getting a large portion of rice. The hamburger was also juicy and flavorful, leaving me wanting more rice! I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of Hiratori wagyu beef. There are still many menu items I want to try, so I will definitely revisit. Thank you for the wonderful meal today!

After enjoying the delicious shishamo sushi at Mukawa, I headed north to the Hobetsu Museum. I learned that there were dinosaurs in Hobetsu, including the Kamuysaurus. The exhibits were very impressive! Then I headed south to Hira取. I was in the mood for some meat! Hira取 beef is known for its light flavor and I really like it. The restaurant has become quite popular, even reaching 100 ranked stores! The atmosphere inside seemed a bit different this time. It was crowded with many bikers. Finally, I got a seat, but it was right by the kitchen, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. I ordered the following: - Cut steak set to enjoy the luxurious taste of Hira取 beef (2580 yen) with salad, rice, and miso soup - Cheese hamburger (1480 yen) with rice and miso soup - Beer - Iced coffee Maybe it was because of the seating, but this time the steak was a bit tough and the hamburger was less juicy than before. Oh well, I decided to take home some frozen Hira取 beef hamburgers (3 for 1700 yen) and they turned out delicious when cooked at home. Thank you for the meal!

I took a drive to the Erimo area in Hokkaido on my day off! Along the way, I searched for a delicious meat restaurant and made a detour to Jankenpon in Hirato Town! It was quite a drive from Hidaka Tomikawa IC, passing by a dam and finally arriving in Hirato Town. The restaurant is in a log house-style building with a cow figurine near the entrance. Inside, there are table seats, table box seats where you can grill meat, and sunken kotatsu seats. After sitting down, more and more groups of customers came in, showing that it's a popular place! I looked at the menu and asked the staff for their recommendation, and I ordered the most popular item, the set with 150g of Biratori Wagyu hamburger steak and 100g of cut steak for 2,580 yen! First, a salad arrived with a refreshing dressing that was easy to eat. The main dish was the set with Biratori Wagyu hamburger steak and cut steak. It also came with miso soup, rice, and pickles. The medium-rare cut steak looked appetizing with its juicy texture. The cut steak allowed me to enjoy the texture of the meat, while the hamburger steak, made with 100% Biratori Wagyu, was slightly firm but allowed me to savor the unique taste, texture, and juiciness of the meat. The side dishes included tomatoes, pumpkin, and shishito peppers, which were unusual but delicious! Biratori Wagyu, which is said to be rare and not widely available, was truly delicious, and I would love to visit again to enjoy it.

I visited this place because I had planned to stay overnight nearby. I arrived on a Saturday around 12:30 pm. Luckily, the previous customers had just left, so I was shown to a tatami room. I was happy to see a sunken hearth (kotatsu) in the room. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but I decided to order the popular "Jankenpon Don" for 1280 yen, with an extra 100 yen for a large serving. When the dish arrived after about 10 minutes, it came with miso soup and pickles. The Hirauchi beef, known for its high quality, was tender and the marbling was sweet, with a rich flavor that intensified as I chewed. The only downside was that it was a bit salty. Despite being in a remote location, the restaurant always seems to be full. By the way, I just learned that "Hiratori" is pronounced as "Biratori." I had been pronouncing it as "Hiratori" until just before... Thank you for the meal!

Hokkaido gourmet trip, almost the final day's dinner. I had bread, curry, pork bowl, and taiyaki today, so I'm full. But as planned, I came to this restaurant. I was unsure of what to eat, but based on the reviews on Tabelog, I decided to try the steak bowl, similar to the steak bowl at Miran Dining Gen in Yamaguchi Prefecture. There, it had a hearty garlic chip topping, but here it has garlic-infused butter rice. I forgot to ask for less rice, so I regretted it as this appetizing butter rice made me envious. I thought about leaving some, but the butter rice was so delicious and matched well with the meat, so I ended up eating 98% of it. I'll save the bread for tomorrow, sorry Mugioto-san. The rare steak was a delicious steak where you could taste the flavor of the branded beef. Next time, I'm torn between going to Kurobeko or revisiting and trying the beef cutlet, but revisiting the remote town of Hira取町 is a high hurdle... First stop on the Hiratori tour. This is the 7th visit to a restaurant in Hiratori town, including the ones that have closed down. If you include accommodation facilities, the number goes up a bit more. I had a feeling that the restaurant I go to is likely to close down. Why? Because I like those kinds of places. What kind of places? Well, it's lunchtime on a Sunday. Lots of customers before and after me. There are few places to eat around here, and you can get Hiratori Wagyu beef at a reasonable price, so it's very popular. Since I'm dining alone, I was seated at the counter without having to wait. Many of the restaurants I've visited have already closed down, so I wonder how many more I can visit. I can't visit them all at once, so please be patient. Oh, and the parking lot is spacious. I wonder if there are any places around here where it gets full. The staff are efficient. They work quickly and serve the food promptly. I ordered the Janken Don (1280 yen). There's no system where you play rock-paper-scissors with the owner and get a rare cut of meat at a discount. I don't know why we play rock-paper-scissors, but it says you can get a rare cut of meat at a discount. The sliced Hiratori Wagyu beef cooked in the kitchen is placed on top of the rice bowl. It comes with miso soup and pickles. It's seasoned with salt and pepper, so you can eat it as it is. Is this Hiratori Wagyu beef? It's my first time trying it. It's reasonably priced, so maybe they're not using the best cuts. It's a bit chewy, but I'm satisfied with the amount for the price. It's delicious. By the way, Hiratori Wagyu beef is a brand of beef raised in Hiratori town. It's not very famous, but unlike dairy cows born for milk, it's a beef cattle born for meat. It takes a long time to raise, so it ends up being expensive. I heard there's also something called Hiratori Black Pork in Hiratori town. Maybe I'll try to find a restaurant that serves that next. The notable restaurants around Hiratori are all closed on Mondays, but after calling with a glimmer of hope, I found out that they were open for lunch. I decided to visit right away. I've been to a famous tonkatsu restaurant in Shinbashi before, and while it was talked about, I'm not sure if I would go back. I always thought tonkatsu was just okay, but in the magazine article that recommended this restaurant, tonkatsu was highly praised. My friend and I ordered the most popular cut steak set and tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was delicious!! It was rare inside, but the heat melted the fat and brought out a sweetness. The breading was crispy and crunchy, and I never thought tonkatsu could be this delicious.

I went to Haboro Town with my usual partner. Our destination was Haboro Town & Mukawa Town. On our way back from Mukawa Town to Obihiro, it was lunchtime. I was thinking of having sushi in Mukawa Town, but we ended up going through Mukawa Town and returning to Haboro Town. Along the way, my partner suddenly became interested in Haboro beef. Without any prior research, we found this restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice. The interior was also cozy. We ordered the most popular dish, a 150g hamburger and a rare cut 100g "cut steak set." Unusually, my partner also ordered the same dish. First came the salad. I was told that the spinach was "kanjime" spinach. It was a dish made with local vegetables and meat, promoting local production and consumption. Next came the steak, rice, and miso soup. I was so hungry that I started eating as soon as it arrived, forgetting to take a photo. The grilled vegetables on the side were nagaimo, "kanjime" spinach, and onions. I don't know if it was the cooking method or the quality of the Haboro-produced ingredients, but everything was incredibly delicious. The meat was also perfect, and it had been a while since I had Haboro beef. The lean meat was flavorful, and the fatty parts melted in your mouth, tasting very sweet. The whole family gathered together after a long time and had lunch at a nearby restaurant called Jankenpon. We had the Janken Don for 1280 yen each! The eldest daughter also had the same Janken Don, the eldest son had the Hamburger Curry, the second daughter had the Roast Beef, and my wife had the Wagyu Pork Cutlet Don. We shared a bit of each dish and everything was delicious!

I ordered roast beef bowl and janken-don. They arrived shortly after. The janken-don had a flavor similar to yakiniku. Delicious. The miso soup had a strong dashi flavor from the simmered bonito flakes, also delicious. The roast beef was a bit bland, even when dipped in sauce. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, but it's a bit far so it might be hard to visit often.

This is a delicious restaurant that serves Hira-to gyu (Hirato beef). It's about a 2-hour drive from Sapporo, so whenever I crave domestic beef, I always come here. The meat and hamburgers are both delicious and generous in portion. The miso soup is also carefully made, and the meat is grilled to perfection. I have only tried the hamburger and steak set, but next time I want to challenge the rice bowl dish as well. ( ◠‿◠ )
