I came to the area near Nango 13-chome station in the morning with nothing to do, hoping to have breakfast at a cafe that opens at 8 am, but it was already closed. Feeling disappointed, I ended up at Spice&mill, a popular soup curry restaurant selected as one of the top 100 stores. The service was excellent, and I ordered the "Jichan's Century Miso Curry (level 8 spiciness, rice M)" which was flavorful and satisfying. The curry had a rich miso flavor with a good level of spiciness, and the rice was well-cooked. The vegetables were fresh and well-prepared, especially the tofu which added a nice texture to the dish. Overall, the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients, delicious food, and warm service made for a delightful dining experience.

For lunch, I went to "Spice & Mill." It's almost my 20th visit to a curry restaurant selected as one of the top 100 curry shops in Hokkaido. I don't plan to commemorate my 20th visit like I did for the 10th visit to "Ten-character Curry Shop," but this time is the 19th. They open at 10:30, which is great for someone like me who likes to visit eateries early. The soup curry I ordered this time was "Grandpa's Centennial Miso Curry" (¥1320) with spice level 7 and small rice (120g). This was my first visit to Mill, and I had already decided to order this soup curry. When served, they advised, "It's richly seasoned, so please mix the egg and tofu before eating." Underneath the vegetables were the aforementioned egg and tofu. The addition of soft-boiled egg and silken tofu made it easier to mix. The rich miso flavor, umami from the vegetables, and richness matched perfectly, making it hard to stop eating with a spoon! Although I chose the spicy version, the miso sweetness seemed to mellow the spiciness. It wasn't just salty, but the spiciness, umami, and other elements that make this soup curry delicious were well balanced. The saltiness also enhances the goodness of this soup curry. The standout ingredients used include pumpkin with the shop's logo carved on it. It was soft and sweet, adding to the autumn feel. Another standout was the burdock tempura. It was so soft that it could be cut with just a spoon, and the crispy coating had a sweet and savory taste that was irresistible! The deep-fried broccoli's fragrant taste paired well with the soup curry. The cabbage, eggplant, mizuna, and potatoes in the soup curry were rich in nutrients. The vegetables in the soup curry are soft and juicy, with added sweetness and spiciness, offering a different appeal compared to when eaten raw or prepared differently. I was able to enjoy the small rice until the end without feeling unsatisfied, but considering the rich flavor of the Centennial Miso Curry, some may find it too heavy with just the soup, so if you're concerned, you might want to add more rice. I will consider trying the hamburger on my next visit! Thank you for the meal.

I've always wanted to come to this restaurant but never did. It was a shock! It's so delicious! "Grandpa's 100-year miso curry 1,400 yen" Spiciness level is 7, with large rice. "Iced coffee 350 yen" They explained in advance that the flavor is strong, so they recommended mixing in tofu and eggs. I love strong flavors, so it was perfect for me. All the vegetables in the curry were delicious! The menu mentions that they are particular about their vegetables. And what is this burdock root! It's soft, with a slight crunch and tastes like sweet potatoes! Lots of tofu. It goes really well with the soup. It's a curry like I've never had before. Even though there was a lot of rice, thanks to the rich soup, I finished it all in no time. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The owner also has a lovely smile, and you can feel their personality in the food. I wish I had come sooner!

Grandpa's Century Miso Curry, spiciness level 7, Rice S 120g. Despite being miso-flavored, this curry is rich, flavorful, and deep. The vegetables bring out their natural sweetness, making it incredibly delicious. I always wonder if it would be more satisfying with chunks of meat, but the tofu, ground pork, and soft-boiled egg provide enough protein and satisfaction. If only I could choose 150g of rice instead of 120g, it would be even better, but having just enough room in my stomach is more comfortable for moving around in the afternoon. I'm curious about other menu items, but I always end up choosing this one.

I had such delicious soup curry for the first time (´•̥ ω •̥` ) When I came to Sapporo, I lined up at famous soup curry shops to eat, and each one was delicious in its own way. But then, a clear winner emerged. By far, my favorite was the one I tried. I had the 100-Year Miso Curry with a spice level of 3. First of all, the curry was incredibly delicious. The miso flavor was strong and very tasty. I ate it yesterday but I already want to eat it again. And the vegetables in it, especially the burdock root, were amazing! They were big, soft, and definitely the king of burdock roots. My husband had the hamburger curry, but I thought the miso curry was tastier. (laughs) If I had to pick one thing, I ate too much curry in Sapporo, so when I ordered a small rice portion, it was too small. Time for a serious diet! Unless you're someone who doesn't usually have rice with curry, I recommend getting a medium portion. By the way, I visited on August 13th around noon and was able to eat right away without waiting in line!

Vegetable-packed curry (1380 yen), vegetable soup level 8 spiciness (extra spicy+), chicken fillet fry (150 yen). I had never tried the most popular menu at this restaurant, which is loaded with vegetables. Normally, I prefer the original soup (I feel that the thick consistency is not typical of soup curry). But this time, let's go all out with the veggies. It's like a treasure chest. Root vegetables, leafy greens, beans, all the vegetables are shining brightly. It's exciting, like searching for treasure or digging up gemstones. I don't think any other restaurant offers such a veggie-packed dish. Why didn't I try this before? It's the ultimate with a hamburger topping. Do they not offer hamburger as a topping? Well, next time I'll go for hand-kneaded pork hamburger curry or vegetable-packed chicken-topped original soup. Bon appétit.

This is the 7th curry restaurant visited on the Hokkaido tour. I arrived about 5 minutes late due to a bus delay, but there was only one customer ahead of me at 10:35 am on a weekday. I ordered the Grandpa's Centennial Miso Curry for 1,400 yen with a spice level of 8 and half the usual rice portion. The staff informed me that the rice was not ready, so I had to wait a bit. After 20 minutes, the soup curry and rice arrived. The soup curry was spicy and rich with miso flavor, filled with various ingredients like pumpkin, burdock, eggplant, watercress, broccoli, potatoes, tofu, cabbage, scallions, pork, sesame seeds, and a soft-boiled egg. I crushed the egg halfway through to mellow out the miso flavor. I alternated between the rice and soup, finishing everything. Next time, I want to try the Handmade Pork Hamburg Curry for 1,280 yen with vegetable soup. Thank you for the meal.

I've always loved soup curry, but this style was a first for me. The rich, almost aromatic soup, and the abundance of fresh vegetables. I could drink this forever, haha. I definitely have to come back!

Third visit. Ordered vegetable curry and vegetable soup. Since it's packed with vegetables, I felt satisfied without any guilt, and it was kind to my body. My companion who visited for the first time was also satisfied. It seems like there are various services available with a stamp card, so I usually don't bother making one, but I think I'll make one next time.

When I go back to Sapporo, the one place I want to eat at is Spice & Mill for their soup curry. I love it so much that I can even enjoy it without rice. The vegetable-filled curry costs 1,280 yen and it's delicious.

I visited this restaurant a while ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I could tell that they have a lot of attention to detail! It's popular for a reason! I was intrigued by the grandpa's miso, but this time I was drawn to the duck dish. It was very delicious, but I totally messed up the rice portion! It was way too little!! Of course, it's not the restaurant's fault. They clearly stated the gram amount, so it was my fault for ordering less! Haha, next time I'll try the hundred-year miso and get a normal amount of rice! Haha, thank you for the meal!

Today, I had some errands in Shiroishi and couldn't find a suitable restaurant near my destination, so I drove a little further and discovered this restaurant. It's small but clean, and the young staff members are calm and professional (lol). I decided to try the chicken curry with egg topping, spiciness level 4, and vegetable soup. Even though I'm from Sapporo and had never tried soup curry before it became popular, it was delicious. I thought I should come back to this restaurant for more tasty soup curry.

It's been over half a year since my last visit. The prices have gone up since last time, but it can't be helped. The curry has a strong miso flavor with a unique taste that can't be found elsewhere. The basic toppings include vegetables, soft-boiled egg, silken tofu, and minced pork, with a spice level of 7 that isn't too spicy. The vegetables are still delicious as ever! It's a bit rich, so even with 200g of rice, I finished it all in no time. Soup curry in Sapporo is consistently good across all restaurants, with each place maintaining a high standard. This particular restaurant ranks high in my book. I tend to keep going back to places I like, so I need to try new places soon.

Ordered the pork shabu soup curry with daikon. Level of spiciness was 3, with medium rice. Topped with plenty of green onions and soybeans. The curry was cooked with vegetables until they were tender, creating a soup curry that was a mix between soup curry and roux curry. It was spicier than expected. The staff were so friendly that I enjoyed the meal comfortably. Thank you for the meal.

We visited the restaurant with our family of four. There is a raised seating area in the back, making it a comfortable place for families with children. We ordered the vegetable soup and curry with a spice level of 8. The soup was slightly thick with a rich and flavorful vegetable taste. The curry was different from the usual watery type, but I personally found it delicious.

I visited this place based on the high reviews and tried the Jicchan's 100-year miso curry. It had a lot of ingredients, more than I expected, and I couldn't finish it all! The taste was quite strong with miso, perfect for when you want a hearty flavor. The spiciness level was 7 (very spicy). They offer free spiciness up to level 8, but as a spicy food lover, I think I can handle even spicier. It would have been nice if they had tissues available in the store without having to ask for them (curry tends to make your nose run and sweat). Next time, I want to try the dashi curry with daikon in it.

I stopped by on my way back from Furano to New Chitose Airport. I was worried it might be crowded because I was in a hurry, but luckily, around 1 pm, the parking lot was empty and I was able to park right away...! Shortly after, more and more customers started arriving and lining up. Phew. The vegetable-packed soup curry was just as the name suggests, full of vegetables. The standout was the deep-fried burdock root, which had no fibrous texture at all and made me wonder, is this really burdock root? It had a unique, melt-in-your-mouth texture and was delicious! I also love the baby corn in the soup curry. I chose spice level 4, but it was not too spicy at all. Since I thought I would have dinner early, I ordered a small size of rice (S), but it was too small haha. However, the soup curry was so full of vegetables that it was still delicious even without much rice, so it worked out. If you're unsure, I recommend going with a medium size. Overall, it was delicious.

I was able to enjoy a variety of vegetables! I ordered the largest portion of rice, which was satisfying with a good amount. Vegetables like burdock that I don't usually eat in regular dishes tasted delicious when eaten with the soup curry from each shop!

During lunchtime on the way to my destination, I decided to stop by this curry restaurant that I had visited last year and had a great experience. My colleague, who was trying soup curry for the first time, also enjoyed the delicious curry, and regretted not trying it sooner. We ordered the smoked duck and cheese with lots of green onions curry in a small size with thick broth. I wanted to see how the duck and cheese would taste in the curry. We noticed that the rice portion was not enough compared to the curry, so we asked the waitress to add more rice, which was a nice service. The spicy curry was as delicious as ever, and the deep-fried vegetables were also tasty. The large pieces of duck meat added a satisfying volume to the dish. The cheese was a great accent, and as I enjoyed the curry with the duck, vegetables, and rice, I ended up with a little extra curry left over, but that was fine. It was a great meal. Next time, I will make sure to come on an empty stomach and order a medium or large size rice from the beginning.

Grandpa's Centennial Miso Curry (1320 yen) spiciness level 8 (extra spicy +) Entered at 11 o'clock. It's Sunday, but today the restaurant is empty with only 3 groups inside. Lucky! It has become quite popular and difficult to visit. Today, after a long time, I tried the restaurant's representative menu, Grandpa's Centennial Miso Curry. The first time I tried it, I was shocked by the deliciousness of the soup. The balance of soft-boiled egg, tofu, and minced meat is excellent. And the two standing burdock tempura are also delicious. They have a crispy and fluffy texture. Today, due to the increase in ingredient costs, pumpkin was substituted for sweet potato. When the service was changed to a pot, there were some fluctuations in the taste, but it seems to have settled down quite a bit now. I will come back again to enjoy the delicious curry. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the vegetable-packed curry, which was recommended as the most popular menu. You can choose between two types of soup, "vegetable" or "original", and I chose the original, which was smooth and light. The curry had large chunks of vegetables, giving it a satisfying texture. The soup was also delicious, with a mild and refreshing taste. I'm curious about the second most popular menu, "Grandpa's Miso Curry"...

I came to Sapporo again, so I visited here again! I was planning to try a different curry today, but ended up ordering the Jicchan's 100-year curry and siphon coffee again. It was just as delicious as before! Today I chose level 4 spiciness and added cabbage. I couldn't finish the soup because I reduced the rice portion, which was a bit disappointing. Next time, I'll go for a vegetable-packed soup curry for sure!
