There is an actual restaurant in the restaurant district and I think it's surprisingly good, but my wife wanted a bento. It's true that it can be tough to wait for the eel to cook for the kids. The eel bento costs 2700 yen, and even without the sauce, the salty flavor is enough. It's similar to the restaurant's taste. The sauce is also salty, so a small amount is enough. Of course, it's better to eat at the restaurant, but this bento is not bad.

Welcome.---------- July 2019 ----------Located in the basement of Daimaru Sapporo in the Sapporo Station area, it's quite rare to see me here. Hello, it seems Tsukiji is famous around here. I haven't been to Tsukiji, so I'm not sure. They seem to produce a large amount of eel during the eel season. There is a variety of options from bowls to skewers, so it's surprisingly versatile. Although eel is a bit pricey, it's not something I eat often, especially on the day of the Ox. Once you wash away the sauce that comes with it, it's a rich and smooth-flavored delicacy that goes well with alcohol. It's cooked in the Kanto style, with a thick and fluffy texture, and the flesh is tender and melts in your mouth with a sweet fatty taste. The skin side had the most intense flavor. It's the same thing, but the price just keeps going up... Is it the sign of the times?

I may not be able to eat eel easily, but I have to cheer up! I took one bite and it was delicious. They were very pleased. Thank you for the meal. (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

I bought eel for the midsummer day of the ox. Due to lack of time, I opted for takeout at this restaurant. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. Since it was a bento, the experience was not as impressive. I will dine in at the restaurant next time.

I went shopping with my wife and we were tired, so she suggested buying dinner on the way back. She mentioned that the Day of the Ox is approaching and she wants to get eel from Miyagawa-san. I love Miyagawa's eel, so I agreed right away. Normally, I would suggest eating at the restaurant on the 8th floor, but today, our son is at home, so we decided to get takeout instead. Miyagawa Honkan is my favorite place to eat eel in the summer. Since I've been living apart from my family, I haven't been able to go there often. This time, after a long time, I was able to enjoy it again. The eel here is a precious domestic product from Tsukiji. It is steamed with the back opened, so it is very soft. The sauce is a slightly sweet and spicy type, light and delicious. The Nara pickles served as a side dish are also good. It was a delicious meal once again. Next time, I will definitely go to the restaurant to eat there.

The eel rice bowl was left for a while and the flavor slightly decreased, but the eel and sauce infused into the rice made for an enjoyable bento. It felt like the tamagoyaki was lacking a bit, but overall, the bento was delicious. When turned into ochazuke like hitsumabushi, the flavor improved. Two days ago, I had eel rice bowl at Miyagawa on the 8th floor of Daimaru. Due to the impact of a bomb cyclone low-pressure system, the transportation was disrupted, so they could only offer the medium size eel rice bowl. I was planning to buy an eel bento at Hoppe Town on my way back, but the eel delivery was delayed, so they were serving chicken bento instead. Today, I went there again and as usual, they had the eel bentos stacked up. The eel bento had half a grilled eel on top of half a piece of eel. Since I was going to eat it on the train, I couldn't warm it up. It was slightly warm when I took a bite. The surface was a bit dry, so I poured some sauce on it. The slightly spicy sauce made of Miyagawa's soy sauce and mirin was delicious. The rice was a bit firm compared to the restaurant. I finished it crisply. It's still delicious even when it's cold.

This is a story from the end of July (sweating) It's the season for eel! I really want to eat it at a restaurant, but my wallet won't allow it (laughs). So, we bought a bento box from here instead! It's good to buy something already made, but if you let them know the time, they will make it fresh for you at that time. So in our house, we order before shopping and pick it up on the way back. We'll have it for dinner right away. This eel is the Kanto-style, steamed with the back cut open, so it has a fluffy texture. The sauce is a lightly spicy, not too sweet, which I prefer. It also comes with pickled vegetables, maybe it's called Nara-zuke? We sprinkled plenty of sansho pepper on top and enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I want to save up and eat at the 8th-floor store (laughs). Tsukiji Miyagawa Honke was established in 1893. It is a long-established eel restaurant. Eel specialty shops are decreasing in Sapporo due to soaring prices, and even sushi restaurants are starting to phase out eel dishes. As an ordinary person, eel seems to be becoming more distant. However, occasionally I crave it. Tsukiji Miyagawa Honke has a take-out shop in the basement of Daimaru Sapporo, and a dining shop on the 8th floor. I visited the basement shop on a weekday. It is located in the basement 1st floor of Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in Sapporo's Chuo Ward. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. They offer "eel bento" and "grilled eel". I bought the eel bento. The dining shop on the 8th floor naturally takes time to prepare. This shop already had the bento ready, making it very convenient for when you're short on time. However, freshly grilled eel at the restaurant is the most delicious. I had the bento for dinner. The eel bento weighed 319g, using eel from 3/4 fish. The eel was tender with a gentle fat content, giving a sense of domestic quality. The accompanying sauce was light and refreshing, with pickled cucumber, sansho pepper, and disposable chopsticks included. The price was 2322 yen (including 8% consumption tax). The taste was authentic and delicious, different from regular eel dishes. The price for a high-quality eel bowl was reasonable. Although the eel in the bento seemed smaller than before, it is understandable in this day and age. I look forward to enjoying the eel bento again next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Miyagawa Honke Daimaru Sapporo Store is located on the 8th floor of Daimaru, but they also have a shop in the underground food market selling grilled eel and bento boxes. The eel bento box is very delicious, with a flavor that remains consistent even after some time. I usually only use this shop. This time, I got a simple eel rice box, but in the past, there was another type that was also delicious. It's a bento box that I like to treat myself to when I take a short trip on the JR train.

I tried a takeout-only store in Daimaru Sapporo basement for the first time. They also have a store on the upper floors, so I may not use it often. There were two types of eel bento, with a slight difference in size. Considering that the price difference is only a few hundred yen, the larger one may be a better deal. The taste was very elegant.

On the day of "Midsummer Day of the Ox," people eat eel, but the truth is that eel is not actually in season during the summer. Eels are creatures that hibernate in the winter, starting to store fat in their bodies and prepare from around October when the water temperature begins to drop. Therefore, the peak season for eel is from "autumn to winter." So, why did the tradition of eating eel out of season in the middle of summer start? There is a theory that during the Edo period, eel shops were struggling to sell eel in the summer, and upon receiving advice from Hiraga Gennai, who came up with the slogan "Midsummer Day of the Ox, Eel Day. Eating it will prevent summer fatigue," they posted signs saying "Today is the Day of the Ox, Eel Day" and their business flourished. With that said, I decided to quickly get some eel and visited Tsukiji Miyagawa Honkan at Daimaru Sapporo. I purchased the "Eel Bento Box @2,646 yen" and brought it home. After lightly heating it up, I found that the size was smaller compared to Chinese eels, and the sweet and savory sauce was elegant. It didn't have the fluffy texture like when eaten at the restaurant, but it was not too fishy and had a good chewy texture. I would like to dine in next time. Thank you for the meal.

I will enjoy a bento box from the Depachika at Daimaru Sapporo store. I would have preferred to dine at the restaurant floor on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo store, but this time I will take it out. My family ordered it for a special occasion. Thank you very much, I am grateful! It includes two slices of Nara-zuke, a high-quality item not commonly found in Hokkaido. This attention to detail is wonderful, isn't it? My partner, who is from Kansai, loves Nara-zuke, but it is not very familiar to Hokkaido residents and is quite expensive, so it is not easy to come by. I will heat it up in the microwave and pour the accompanying sauce over it. The eel is tender and delicious! I really want to eat it at the restaurant, but it's also nice to be able to enjoy this quality of eel at home. Ah, the luxury of the common people, it's the best. The beer is delicious! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal~♪ Next time, I want to go to the restaurant, where I can have an eel rice bowl for a similar price!

At the end of June, I treated myself to a takeout of eel. It's been a few years since I last had eel. While eel is best enjoyed at the restaurant, I still feel hesitant to dine in. Today's eel is said to be from Mie Prefecture. The meat is tender with just the right amount of firmness, and it's delicious. I took my time savoring each bite. Thank you for the delicious meal!
