"Let's go to Red Chili! Stop the reckless driving antics, haha. Red Chili is a well-known restaurant with a hundred branches, and I had always wanted to visit it. I hadn't bookmarked it because it was located in an area I don't usually go to, but staying nearby now gives me the opportunity to explore! I hadn't considered using the subway, but I might consider creating a route using the Donichi line in the future. On my way there, I happened to pass by a tonkatsu restaurant, and I was debating whether to eat there with less rice or without rice. The lights were on, and according to the internet, it was still within opening hours, so I went in. However, the owner or someone similar said, 'I'm sorry, we're closed for the day.' Maybe they didn't have time to put up the closed sign in front of the store, so I ended up going to Red Chili without changing my mind. There were three groups of customers, including families and couples. There was no one else who came in after me. Since they are open until late, it seems like a good place for a last stop before heading home. While dessert parfaits and ramen are common, having curry as a last meal seems a bit much (laughs). Despite being more on the affordable side, I ordered the Chicken Saag Curry (¥1090). I chose the spiciness level '4 - Very Spicy' and opted for naan instead of rice. Later, I realized that the Chicken Saag was part of the set menu, so maybe that's why it was cheaper. I should have just gone for the set menu without worrying about the price. The curry arrived with steam rising from it! The naan that came with it was also steaming hot. The spiciness and umami flavors were followed by the refreshing taste of spinach, which was the source of the dish's lightness. This combination made the spiciness feel pleasantly satisfying and addictive. Indian curry restaurants are known for their richness, but when the main ingredient is spinach, you can see subtle differences in flavors. The chicken in the curry was tender, juicy, and large in size. Although the quantity wasn't large, it was enough to satisfy. The naan was so hot that it felt like it could burn your hand if you grabbed it. I like it hot, but when I bit into it directly, I lightly burned the lower left side of my lip. I was being foolish, haha. Even now, over a week after the visit and writing this review, my lip is still a bit swollen. The crispy and fragrant outer layer of the naan, with a soft and sweet inside...the deliciousness of the naan is unmatched! I'm being too loud, haha. Despite being full halfway through, I picked up the pace and finished the meal quickly. Before leaving, even though my stomach was already full, I was spending money like crazy! I don't know the difference between Red Chili and other Indian curry chain restaurants like 'A,' but in my opinion, they are consistently delicious everywhere. That's why this restaurant must have excelled in soup curry as well. It seems like the high score that made it a top 100 restaurant is due to that, so I've already decided on the menu for my next visit! The journey to explore the top 100 curry restaurants within reach may seem endless, but it's exciting to try out different places! Thank you for the meal."
