In a residential street, there is a shop that sells various seasonings, and at the back, you can eat a meal for 5500 yen per course if reserved two days in advance for a minimum of two people. The menu includes: - Edamame and jellyfish vinegar salad - Corn, cream cheese, firefly squid - Tofu, Japanese-style fresh spring rolls - Crispy fried natto with elegant coating - Somen, buckwheat, yuzu with dry broth, very thin - Roast beef with wood sorrel jelly, gluten, chili pepper - Pickled red meat, yam, seaweed, surf clam, myoga - Beltfish with cheese - Fried tofu with incredibly melty tofu thinly coated - Dry curry with spicy roux curry Heartland Hirotogawa Shita Izumi white wine red wine Despite the low price, the portions are generous and there is a sense of homeliness in the creative Japanese cuisine that will leave you satisfied.

In West 28th Street, there is a restaurant called Waji Ayana Kiri. Oh my goodness! The content you get for this price (1400 yen) is unbelievable. The vegetables are so delicious that I want my mother's generation to try this bento box. I definitely want to try eating inside the restaurant next time! #HokkaidoGourmet #SapporoGourmet #West28thStreetGourmet #Kiri

One of the shops that I was interested in, the moon floating in the cup is of course not real but created by the interior lighting. The liquid's rippling movement resembles the waxing and waning of the moon. I imagine the appearance of the moon during the day and enjoy a moment of relaxation during a coffee break. The waves in my mind gradually calm down, and I enjoy the taste perception from the black liquid contained in the ceramic. The tastefully decorated interior plays quiet jazz music. I sit at the counter for a cup of hot coffee. The collaboration of sweetness and bitterness in the coffee seems to be working well. As the temperature cools down, a gentle flow of coffee flavor blends in nicely. The clear taste without any roughness is enjoyable, with the sweetness overlaying the bitter taste making it easy to drink. It seems that many affluent people come here, but even the water served in ceramic cups before the coffee is delicious. If there are seats available, I would like to come back for a casual drink during the day. I gaze at the endlessly blue sky, observing the contrast with the white clouds with a vague sense of admiration, realizing how precious it is to see such a sky on a sunny day. As the cold gradually seeps into my body, I start to feel the need for warmth and decide to walk briskly to warm up, not letting the cold defeat me.

I visited a restaurant called "Waki Ayana Kiri" located about a 10-minute walk from Nishi 28th Street Station in the snow-covered area. The restaurant is on the first floor of a concrete building, with a sign that reads "Waki Ayana Kiri" and a board outside saying "We have tofu." When I entered the restaurant, I was drawn in by the smell of curry and ended up asking if they had any food available. The staff informed me that meals are by reservation only, but they could offer udon and curry. I decided to order the udon for 1,100 yen. The interior of the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with a small counter and a section for selling ingredients and miscellaneous items. The udon was served in a long, white dish with a creamy broth and slices of pork belly and fried tofu. The broth had a rich flavor and the noodles had a good texture. The fried tofu served on the side was crispy and paired well with the sweet sauce. Overall, the meal was delicious and satisfying. I also purchased a piece of tofu made using a method that doesn't produce okara, which had a soft and rich flavor. I would love to visit this restaurant again for a drink and some snacks.

I was curious to peek inside here just because of the sign that says "We have tofu" haha. The Italian restaurant next door has 100 reviews, but this place has been in business for 18 years and only has one review :( It's no wonder, the exterior looks like a store selling Japanese tableware, so even the neighbor Yamasan has never been to this place!! But the fact that a restaurant like this, hardly known even on Tabelog, is celebrating its 18th year, shows that it is a good restaurant supported by regular customers, with a completely local focus haha. This place is loved by the customers in Miyanomori, and it's a proof that it's a good restaurant, even though beauty-loving people like me only know popular places haha. I haven't tried the course meals here, so I can't say anything haha. Now, when I thought of just going in here to buy tofu after seeing the sign "We have tofu", I saw a counter in the back...? Can you eat here? I asked, and they said they can serve curry or udon. Of course, I decided to eat there! (lol) I ordered the curry + salad for 1,000 yen. The curry seems thick like dry curry, but it's not dry curry apparently (lol). It says spicy beef curry, but it's not much spicier than a spicy retort curry. But it's a very delicious curry! The salad is also well made. I can't describe it well, but it was a delicious salad with tofu in it. Apparently, curry is usually served as the final course in their course meals. Hmm, I'm curious about the course meals haha. Should I invite the old men in the neighborhood to come with me?

In a quiet residential area, there was a shop that was a bit hard to find. Upon entering through a small entrance, there were many handmade, rustic-looking dishes lined up. The space was very peaceful, and my friends and I, a group of six, were able to relax and unwind. We ordered the 2100 yen lunch course. Healthy vegetable-centric dishes kept coming out one after another. I was impressed by the careful preparation and the balance of colors and shapes of the dishes and the tableware. In particular, the dish with radish sauce had a beautiful color scheme, and it was a dish that was visually pleasing. The grilled eel over rice was delicious, but it seemed like the rice was served cold, and personally, I would have preferred warm rice. Some people in our group were not familiar with how to eat grilled eel over rice, so it would have been nice if the staff explained it when serving the dish. I'm not usually a fan of pickled herring, but the herring here was soft and had a gentle flavor, making it very tasty. The timing of the dishes being served was just right. The coffee and candied yuzu peel served at the end were incredibly delicious! It was clear that the restaurant pays attention to detail and takes pride in what they serve. The lunch is a bit on the expensive side, so I think it's a great place for when you want to treat yourself to a special meal.
