This is a report on Sapporo (lol). This time, I finished my Sapporo report at "Kanikoubou Hanasaki," a wonderful restaurant where they cook and serve Taraba crabs right in front of you! It's a high-class restaurant with a reservation system, so it might not be for everyday use, but I decided to splurge for the end of my trip this time (lol). You can make a reservation through the official website, which you can access from this site! Reservations can also be made by phone! We opted for a private room for an additional ¥500. The restaurant was located on the 5th floor of a building called Bimatsu Murayoka Building at the reserved time. As soon as the elevator doors opened, the atmosphere changed dramatically! "Crab Fishing and Hanasaki" - it has a luxurious feel! It seems that this restaurant has also been featured in the Hokkaido Michelin Guide! This time, we ordered the "Seasonal Course ¥39,800." In addition to this course, there is also a luxurious course with box sea urchin and abalone, which is also fantastic! They also had a selection of high-class and rare drinks! For those who enjoy sake and wine, the lineup is irresistible! We started with a toast with draft beer! The staff also brought us aprons and hand towels! Then, we had the appetizers! The ingredients were carefully selected from Hokkaido, and they were incredibly delicious! For those who are not fond of raw oysters, they also offer grilled oysters, which is great! After finishing the appetizers, the master appeared! With a friendly smile, he greeted us, which helped to ease the tension and set the mood perfectly! Then, the Taraba crab was brought out from the tank! Wow! It was incredibly large and impressive! The master lifted the crab for a commemorative photo service (lol). This time, it was a splendid Taraba crab weighing 2.9kg in total! The master encouraged us with the best cheer, saying, "Please enjoy eating it to the fullest!" (lol) Get the camera ready (lol) The master skillfully cut the crab with a knife, and the live performance was a rare and valuable experience! They prepared the crab for sashimi, rare, medium, grilled, and boiled dishes! It was incredibly luxurious and exciting to compare the different ways of enjoying the Taraba crab! We even tried that eating method where you pull the meat from the crab legs and savor it! (lol) As the plates of crab piled up, our stomachs started to feel satisfied! The crab was packed with meat and had a great taste, making us extremely satisfied! This is a fantastic restaurant for crab lovers! The staff kindly mentioned that if we couldn't finish the crab, they would wrap it up for us to take home, which was reassuring! We chose the small size for the Ikura rice, as our stomachs were already full from the crab (lol). They also offered a complimentary serving of additional Ikura, which was great! The kombu tea was gentle and soothing! For dessert, we had red meat melon with high-class brandy sprayed on top, a sophisticated treat! The combination was perfect and incredibly delicious! Finally, we ended the course with matcha tea and rose tea! It was a perfect way to conclude the Taraba crab feast! The size of the Taraba crab was just right for 3-4 people, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The master also taught us how to skillfully peel the crab's meat, making the experience enjoyable and delicious! You can proudly say, "I ate real crab in Hokkaido"! (lol) Kanikoubou Hanasaki, you are the best! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was unsure if I was in the right place as I rode the elevator in a mixed-use building, but when I arrived, I was greeted by vibrant ocean-themed walls and a sign for Hanasaki. The restaurant offers private dining, so I could relax without worrying about others around me. I enjoyed some appetizers and sake, and then it was time for the crab performance! I was so mesmerized by the live show that I forgot to take any pictures. My partner and I shared a crab dish, and the chef expertly portioned it out based on our differing appetites. The dessert was a luxurious treat - spraying Remy Martin over melon slices. I recommend 4-6 sprays per piece. It's a bit pricey, so I won't be going back right away, but the experience was definitely worth it.

Second visit. VIP course with live king crab ^_^ Grateful for being led to a completely private room with a restroom. Starting with an appetizer, live abalone grilled on a shell, and uni sashimi (delicious (°▽°)). The friendly chef carefully prepared a 3kg live king crab in front of us, serving it as sashimi first, then grilled to medium rare, and in various other ways. The meal ended with ikura rice and extra ikura on top (^_^;) also delicious. The king crab was as delicious as last time, but the uni and ikura were exceptional this time. There is a wide variety of drinks available, including beer, sake, wine, and highball. I drank a lot, so I understand the price. Thank you for the feast. I will visit again. Chef, I heard your back hurts, please take care of yourself ^_^

This is a crab specialty restaurant in Susukino, Sapporo. It was my first time visiting, and it seems to be quite a famous place that is difficult to make reservations at. When you enter the restaurant, you are overwhelmed by a huge water tank with large crabs inside. The interior is Japanese-style with sunken kotatsu tables, and it can accommodate up to 36 people, so it's a large establishment. Today, I ordered the VIP course and... the king crab was a whopping 6 kilograms, a special extra-large size! The head chef personally prepared and served the crab in front of us, explaining as he went along, which was delightful. From appetizers to dessert, you can enjoy watching and savoring the dishes, creating an exciting atmosphere. The crab was so big that I ended up taking some as a takeaway. When in Hokkaido, you must try the king crab, so I will definitely visit again when I come back to Hokkaido. Thank you for the meal.

When I went to Hokkaido, I was able to fulfill my wish to visit this place that I had been wanting to go to. The taste is absolutely delicious, and the crab, the biggest of the season, was expertly prepared by the chef, leaving me completely satisfied. Whenever I go to Hokkaido, I plan on visiting this place every time. It's the best restaurant.

Living in the west, snow crab is the main dish, and king crab is eaten only occasionally. Since I am in Hokkaido, I decided to visit this restaurant to have a serious taste of king crab. Starting with appetizers, it was a Hokkaido feast. Fresh oysters, king crab roe, sea cucumber, spotted shrimp, Hokkaido sea squirt, and herring roe from Atsuma wrapped in seaweed. And sea urchin, to top it off. And it was Bafun sea urchin. Just this alone made me happy. Finally, the chef performed a live demonstration of preparing live king crab. With swift movements and a large knife, the king crab was skillfully cut into sashimi, rare, and medium in no time. And then grilled and boiled. Each preparation method brought out a different sweetness in the crab. The meal ended with a salmon roe bowl. For dessert, a large melon. It was a feast with an incredible amount of food. And since you can eat without getting your hands dirty, you can fully focus on the meal. There were not many options for local sake, but the selection of sake, glasses, and dishes showed a great attention to detail. A place where you can enjoy a meal without worrying about the price, and truly indulge in the experience.

I visited this place about 10 years ago and recently had the chance to come back. The chef is still energetic and skillfully prepares the crab right in front of us, serving it as sashimi, grilled, and in a hot pot. From the appetizers to the ikura rice at the end, I was completely satisfied.

I enjoyed the VIP course at the reception. Everything was in BIG size and made of the finest ingredients. The king crab, which was sliced right in front of me, was exceptionally delicious. I also got to enjoy various other seafood dishes and had a wonderful time. Once you taste the crab here, you won't be able to eat at other crab specialty stores anymore.

The chef, who is well-versed in the delicious parts of the crab, prepared a variety of dishes that were truly exceptional. The "fundoshi" part was especially delicious and impressive! It was a great Sapporo dinner where you could enjoy chatting with the chef while drinking together. I would love to come back when I visit Sapporo again!

Perfect for tourism and entertaining guests!! It may be a bit pricey, but you should go while your dad is still alive!! You can enjoy Taraba crab in sashimi, half-cooked, steamed, and grilled preparations without any leftovers!! A restaurant that knows how to handle crab. My dad is not a chef, but a salesman. He has a charm that attracts people's hearts. I want to bring someone here and make them happy, for special occasions like birthdays. However, it may not be suitable for those who want a quick meal as my dad is always there!! I will definitely come back!!

One year after my trip to Hokkaido~!! Of course, I want to eat delicious crab to my heart's content, so I booked the VIP course at my favorite restaurant, Hanasaku (Katsuani). What is this course that costs 42,350 yen per person? This is my first time booking such an expensive restaurant, so the main focus of my Hokkaido trip is Hanasaku!! It seems that it is difficult to make a reservation, but thanks to the infectious disease that is trending worldwide, I was able to secure a reservation two weeks ago! I arrived at the restaurant on time on the day of the reservation~!! I was led to a wonderful private room and sat down! It's a high-priced restaurant, so even the tissues available are a luxury product of 1000 yen per box (^^; I'm extremely excited! Let's start the course! Appetizers, is this the appetizer?? I am overwhelmed by the high-quality ingredients that could be considered main dishes! The sweetness of the cod milt is shocking! It melts in your mouth and the flavor that follows is amazing (^-^). The plump striped shrimp is also impressive! Grilled dish While enjoying the appetizers, a grilled abalone appeared next to me~!!! The staff skillfully cuts it for easy eating! This super thick and satisfying abalone blows away my previous concepts! The liver is also excellent (^-^)v(^-^)v Sashimi, the highest quality Bafun sea urchin platter (^-^)/(^-^) Looking at the photo, there is nothing more to say, but this is the first time I have eaten such delicious sea urchin in such quantity (^-^)(^-^) It's so delicious that it feels like a waste to eat it!! King crab full course performance After finishing the sashimi, the staff began preparing for the performance! And finally, the appearance of the special large king crab we would eat today~!! They make the most of the umami of the salmon roe!! However, my full stomach from the luxurious ingredients along the way did not allow me to have seconds (*_*) Dessert, the highest quality melon!! This special sweet melon, perfect for finishing off the luxurious ingredients, can be enjoyed smoothly even when full! Before coming, I was overwhelmed by the price, but after eating and seeing it, I am convinced!! I felt that I would want to come back and eat here again, even if I have to pay this much! On the first night after arriving in Sapporo from Asahikawa, I had a dinner meeting with business partners as usual. The head of this company had recently changed and had come from Osaka. After discussing with a friend who runs a cooperative company, we decided to invite them to this restaurant. This restaurant in Sapporo is known for its high-priced crab dishes. It is known for its outstanding performance compared to famous places like "Hyosetsu no Mon." We were led to a private room on the 5th floor of a mixed-use building. Tonight, the owner himself would be preparing the crab in front of us. While drinking beer, we enjoyed sashimi of shrimp, horsehair crab, abalone, crab roe, and crab innards. Then, a huge live king crab was brought out by the owner. As he prepared the king crab, he shared information about it. We tasted the king crab as sashimi, slightly boiled, grilled, and the crab claws, followed by the unique "fundoshi" (I learned for the first time that it was edible at this restaurant). The "fundoshi" was a revelation with its rich flavor. The tasting experience of the crab, starting from sashimi and gradually intensifying in flavor, was very interesting. After finishing the meal with salmon roe rice, kelp tea, and fruits, the dinner was a great success with the live king crab performance. This was my second visit, but it made a big impression on my new business partners. The unique atmosphere, combined with the lively Kansai spirit, led to a fun club activity afterwards. If you want to try crab in Sapporo, I highly recommend visiting this delicious and unique restaurant.

In October 2019, we celebrated my boss's promotion at the restaurant "Kani no Hanasaki." We had a crab feast in a VIP private room with its own toilet. The chef entertained us with funny jokes while skillfully preparing one crab dish after another. The sea urchin, abalone, and crab were all delicious thanks to the high-quality ingredients. I enjoyed the Kikuhime sake so much that I ended up drinking too much. The male staff on the floor provided excellent service and were very likeable. Last updated in May 2023.

This is a course featuring snow crab. It starts with sashimi, followed by oysters, abalone, and then snow crab. The sashimi is delicious no matter which kind you try. It's rare to find saltwater sea urchin of this size. The snow crab is served with explanations of each part, leaving nothing to waste. The snow crab has a rich flavor, so eating this much can get a bit overwhelming. It's not often you get the chance to have crab cooked for you in a private room, so I'm glad I came.
