The perfect soup curry that resonates with spices, spiciness, acidity, and oiliness is something that can captivate your heart. Whether it's a one-time visit that leaves you hooked or a place you start visiting regularly, the timing of your visit is crucial. If you can walk in without waiting, it's a great opportunity to seize. When I first visited, I was drawn to Pikante and Voige, but now I find myself more attracted to the unique world of Kitaro's soup. I chose the Chicken and Vegetable Soup Curry, and each ingredient, including boneless chicken thigh, carrots, bell peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, and rapeseed flowers, was well-prepared. The flavors of the soup and vegetables complemented each other perfectly, making everything even more delicious. The level of spiciness I chose was 3, and the soup curry was deliciously spicy, blending well with the rice. Eating by spooning rice and curry together, then mixing the rice into the soup as you go, allows you to enjoy the gradual change in flavors. While I used to mainly dip rice in the soup, I now find myself trying different ways to enjoy it. The combination of eggplant oil and soup curry is excellent, and the peeled tomatoes have a surprisingly delicious taste and texture. The acidity of the tomatoes mixed with the soup is irresistible. The boneless chicken thigh, well-prepared vegetables, and the collaboration with rapeseed flowers were all incredibly tasty. The anticipation of coming back for more hits you right after finishing the meal. Seeing the Sapporo Shu Curry Kissaten Tsui DE makes me want to visit again soon, reminiscing about the tangy flavor and looking forward to any new menu changes. I can't wait to continue exploring soup curry restaurants in the Susukawa area next year.

Today, after finishing my night shift, I went for a drive to Lake Shikotsu before heading back to Sapporo. I decided to have a slightly late lunch in Makomanai near my accommodation, and after checking around, I stumbled upon a lot of curry shops that specialize in soup curry. I ended up choosing this place and became their last customer as lunchtime was almost over. I ordered the seafood curry with a spice level of 2, and when I took a sip of the soup, it had just the right amount of kick for me. The aroma of the spices and the overall flavor were really good and I enjoyed it a lot! The main ingredient, the seafood, consisted of four large and bouncy pieces, providing a satisfying meal. It had been a while since I had such delicious soup curry, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

Ever since it was featured on TV, Kitaro-san's restaurant has often closed before the usual time. This time, I visited right when it opened on a weekday off. There was plenty of parking available, so I was able to enter smoothly. I ordered the Oyster and Vegetable dish, of course, with a spice level of 3. I also added broccoli and okra as toppings. This restaurant is perfect for me as they have all my favorite ingredients. And in this era of high prices, it's much cheaper than other places, and most importantly, it's delicious. Everything is done with care. Each ingredient feels like it has been carefully prepared. It's really easy to eat. The soup is rich and thick, with a perfect balance of spiciness and spices. It makes me sweat, but I can't stop eating. It's addictive. I will definitely come back.

Today, I had some errands to run in the Moiwa area in the afternoon, so I decided to try out a popular soup curry restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:25 am. There were already about 14 people waiting in line. I thought I was a bit late, but my appointment wasn't until 1 pm, so I joined the line with a relaxed mindset. The line started moving around 11:30 am. As I entered the restaurant, I was directed to the waiting area. It seemed like they could seat up to 14 people at a time. I placed my order for "Chicken Vegetable" curry with a spice level of 2, which cost ¥1100 including tax. After waiting for about 45 minutes, a counter seat opened up and I was able to sit down. My order was ready in just 5 minutes. I was relieved that I made it in time. The curry looked spicy with a hint of redness. I couldn't see the chicken at first as it was hidden under the vegetables. The rice portion was just right, not too much or too little. About half of the male customers ordered extra rice. The curry was spicy but not unpleasant. It had a flavorful spiciness that was enjoyable. The vegetables were soft enough to be cut with a spoon, and the boneless chicken had a hint of curry flavor as well. As I continued eating, I found the spiciness to be delicious. Everyone in the restaurant was focused on eating quietly, which reminded me of the atmosphere at a ramen shop. Overall, I finished my meal and made it to my appointment at 1 pm on time.

On the last day in Hokkaido, we went to Kitaro for soup curry as my daughter really wanted to try it. I ordered boneless chicken with vegetables, medium spiciness, for 1100 yen. My daughter had oyster and carrot with nanohana. The restaurant was run by a couple and was always busy. When they served the curry, it was like a ritual, with the plates handed out carefully. I took a sip of the soup... delicious! It was spicy, rich, and deep in flavor. This was my first time trying authentic soup curry, and it was so good that I think I might get addicted to it. Now I understand why it became popular thanks to actor Yutaka Ozaki. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went to Kitaro at Sumikawa for the first time in a while. I arrived around 11:40 and waited in line for about 20 minutes. Since I had tried the oysters last time, this time I ordered the classic chicken with scrambled eggs on top. I chose level 2 spiciness. The boneless chicken was tender, juicy, and delicious. The vegetables, including rape blossoms, carrots, and tomatoes, were colorful and visually appealing. Overall, it was consistently delicious.

Visited the fourth curry restaurant on the Hokkaido tour. Checked out of the hotel at 10:00 am on a weekday and headed straight to the restaurant, arriving at 10:30 am. Since there was still an hour until opening time, I was in the pole position. The restaurant opened a bit earlier than the scheduled time at 11:24 am, which was very much appreciated. At this point, there were 7 people waiting, and 4 more arrived by 11:30 am. I sat at the counter seat at the back and looked at the menu. I had decided on the "kakitama" with a spice level of 3 and 1/3 portion of rice. After waiting for 5 minutes, the kaki-tama and rice arrived. The soup had an oily appearance with just the right amount of spiciness, and was full of the delicious flavors of oysters and tomatoes, which I really liked. The ingredients included oyster and egg, carrots, and rapeseed blossoms. There were four plump oysters and the egg and vegetables were cooked just right. The rapeseed blossoms had no bitterness and a good texture. As usual, I alternated between the rice and the soup. During this tour, I visited 7 soup curry restaurants, but I didn't see anyone scooping rice onto their spoon and dipping it into the soup. In Tokyo, many people still think that soup curry should be eaten by scooping rice onto a spoon and dipping it into the soup, but I believe that eating them separately is tastier and looks better. The soup curry at Kitaro was incredibly delicious. I regret not visiting this place when I was living alone in Hokkaido. I enjoyed it so much. I will definitely order the kaki-tama again next time. Thank you for the meal.

This is a long-standing famous restaurant. I like the thin soup curry from the early days, but I haven't been able to visit until now because the timing never worked out. It was full even though it was 11:30 on a weekday. I ordered extra chicken in the soup and very spicy. In the midst of rising prices, the overall cost performance is good with relatively low prices. The taste is spicy just the way I like it. If it were closer to my home, I would want to visit once a month. On the way out, when I threw away the tissues I used in the trash can, the owner said, "Oh, you're a good customer! It's a big help that you threw it away! Please come again."

It has been over 20 years since I learned about soup curry, but I never had the chance to come here. It's surprising that I haven't been to this long-established restaurant. I came here after work, and it was a good timing as the place was almost full. I ordered the classic chicken soup curry, and it was delicious. However, I wish I had come here sooner. The excitement is lacking. Oh, I realize that I haven't tried any innovative curries lately.

Kakiya's spicy level 5 topping is great. The omelette-style egg with a generous amount of eggs is a delight. The oyster broth blending into the soup is delicious. They sell out before 1 pm, so be sure to go early!

The first time in my life (maybe the second time?) I tried soup curry was at Kitaro. The rich soup with stir-fried rapeseed flowers in oil was delicious. I remember being shocked at the time. It had been about 15-16 years since I last visited, but I went back recently. The richness was just as I remembered, with strong acidity and sweetness, as well as intense umami. The fried vegetables, stir-fried rapeseed flowers, carrots, and whole tomatoes were all delicious. The menu includes dishes like "Bacon and Eggs" and "Kakitama" which have eggs in them. Indeed, eggs would go well with this soup. The consistent deliciousness of the food really reflects the personality of the owner.

It is a super famous and long-established restaurant, but I have been avoiding it because it is a bit far from my house and the soup is tomato-based. However, I finally decided to visit for the first time. I checked the menu beforehand and ordered the Chicken Vegetable Curry for 1100 yen, with a large serving of soup for an additional 150 yen, a large serving of rice for 100 yen, and an extra serving of rice for 200 yen. I also requested a spice level of 5 for an additional 50 yen. When the dish arrived, I took a bite of the soup. Normally, when a soup is tomato-based, the tomato flavor tends to be overpowering, but in this restaurant, the tomato flavor was well-balanced and not too strong. The base of the soup was slightly thin with a layer of oil on top, which created a nice contrast. The spice level was satisfying, even though the menu only goes up to level 5. Lately, many restaurants have been increasing prices by incrementally raising the spice level, sometimes charging over 100 yen per level. This was not the case here. This was my first time trying tomato-based soup curry, and I already want to come back. Truly a top-notch restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The soup curry was amazing. It had a great kick of spices but the flavors of the ingredients really stood out and complemented each other well. It made me sweat a lot but in a refreshing way. We all ordered different dishes and they were all delicious. My favorite was the bacon. I will definitely come back to eat here again. Thank you for the meal.

I lined up 5 minutes before the store opened. About 20 minutes after opening, there was already a waiting line. The food was cooked quickly after ordering. The curry soup was quite thin, with a good balance of vegetable flavors.

I visited on a cold weekday at 12 o'clock. I was able to just barely find a seat. I ordered chicken with okra and broccoli toppings, with a spice level of 2 and a medium-spicy, watery soup that wasn't too heavy but had a lingering spiciness. The chicken was flavorful and not dry, with tasty chicken meat, and the temperature was just right for a cold day. The chicken is served boneless. The okra was also good quality and delicious. There were a few parking spaces available, and I was able to park easily.

The soup is delicious. The rich flavor of tomatoes spreads in your mouth, and it pairs perfectly with the spices. In particular, the oyster soup curry has a perfect balance of ocean scent and tomato acidity. However, it takes some time to come out, so be careful if you are in a hurry.

- Vegetable Egg for 1050 yen
- Soup extra portion for 150 yen
- Slightly spicy level 1 lunch visit around 12:30, the restaurant was full and had to wait outside for about 20 minutes before being seated. Even though I'm not good with very spicy food, level 1 was quite spicy for me! But it was delicious!

I waited in line for 40 minutes to get the cheese-topped dish. It's clear that it's popular. The soup has a rich, oily flavor with a subtle tomato taste, which is delicious. Even with extra rice and soup, it would still be good. The highlight is definitely the rapeseed blossoms, with a nice crunch and tasty flavor. The peeled tomato is also delicious. In conclusion, it was worth the wait with no regrets ( ˆ∞ˆ ) The cheese topping wasn't necessary (I prefer it on the rice side).

This is a place in Minami-ku, located near Coop Sapporo Nishioka store in Sumikawa 6-jo 4-chome. It's best to check the exact location on the map on Tabelog as usual. As it gets colder, I crave for spicy and warm food, so I visited my familiar restaurant. Upon arrival, I parked my car in the front parking lot and entered the restaurant. I was seated at the counter right away and ordered my usual "Bacon and Egg" curry with a spice level of 3, and a small portion of rice. The curry arrived in about 3-4 minutes, as simple as always. The soup had a tangy tomato flavor with a slightly oily texture, and the spice level at 3 was just right for me. The bacon was flavorful, the egg was fluffy, and the carrots and bell peppers were soft and simple. I mixed all the rice into the curry, along with the ingredients, and finished it all. Nowadays, some curry places have too many ingredients, making it hard to eat, but I prefer the simplicity of this old-fashioned curry.

I had been curious about this long-established restaurant for a while. I arrived 30 minutes before opening, maybe I was too eager. After that, no one else came and I entered easily. I ordered the seafood and vegetable dish with an omelette-style egg on top for 1,350 yen, and bacon and eggs for 1,000 yen. Beer is not on the menu. The tomato-based soup was simple and delicious! You could really taste the flavor of the spices. Next time, I want to try the chicken. Thank you for the meal! (o^^o)

I have always loved soup curry, especially Kitaro is exceptional! It's a bit far from Sapporo Station, Odori, and Susukino, but it has become more crowded since appearing on TV. I recommend the chicken curry, with vegetables and chicken! There are also toppings available, but I personally love this menu!
