For the past year, I have visited various famous soup curry restaurants, but this restaurant is still my number one. The reason it's my favorite is because of the incredible value for money and service. I have tried all the items on the menu at this restaurant. The chicken, sausage, and pork are all excellent, but my favorite is still the "beef tendon stew with double vegetables topping". The beef tendon stew with double vegetables costs 1,320 yen + 286 yen, spiciness level 1, rating ★★★★☆. The beef tendon has a strong presence and the portion is amazing. You would easily pay over 2,000 yen for this amount at other restaurants. The fact that they include this much in one dish shows the pride of the owner. The double vegetables topping is also impressive. If you have this for lunch, you won't need another meal for the rest of the day because of the volume. This is how soup curry should be! The soup has a Japanese-style spice base and is more on the watery side. If we only compare the taste of the soup, there are better restaurants out there, but this restaurant meets the standard of delicious soup. However, what makes this place outstanding is the incredible value for money. Despite the great value, they offer a 100 yen discount for customers with beards (beard discount) and have a stamp card system. It's just amazing. I personally find level 1 spiciness to be just right. Level 1 is similar to a slightly sweet medium spiciness in regular curry terms (level 2 is between medium and hot). The soup has a good depth of flavor even at level 1 spiciness. Although it's quite popular, there is usually no long line, which I love. I would definitely gain weight if I went here every week, so I'll probably visit again in about two months. Thank you for the meal! *The beef tendon stew is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Also, since it's a popular menu item, it may be sold out in the evening. If you want to try it, go during lunchtime.

I entered the restaurant on Friday before 8 pm. There were about 5 groups of customers already there, mostly in groups of 2 people. I ordered the classic chicken curry here. It took about 20 minutes to be served. The soup was thick, similar to a slightly looser roux curry. There were shirataki noodles in the curry, which was unusual but surprisingly good. The soup portion was a bit small, so it might not be enough for some people. The chicken was crispy and delicious! Overall, I would recommend this soup curry restaurant. *People with beards, mustaches, or drawn-on beards get a 100 yen discount when entering (lol) Thank you for the meal!

I went to the restaurant at night during my trip. The interior was decorated with a lot of Maximum the Hormone decorations, so I wondered if the owner is a fan. I ordered the chicken soup curry. You could choose the spiciness level from 1 to 6, and I chose level 2, but it was about as spicy as a regular retort curry. The chicken went well with the curry, and I enjoyed the meal. The curry itself had a good amount of spices and was delicious. The default amount of rice is 300g, which is a lot. I think women might not be able to finish it.

I usually order the baron meat curry, but this time, due to the heat, I chose the daily sausage egg curry soup in a large serving with spiciness level 5. The soup here has a slight acidity and depth, making it refreshing to eat. I selected level 5 spiciness, but as someone who enjoys spicy food, I would like to try level 6 next time (note to self).

Last Sunday of summer vacation for lunch, I visited "Hige Baron" as recommended by a friend's husband, close to Odori Park and opening at 11 am. Chicken curry with okra, shiitake mushrooms, and beans topping (spiciness level 3). Even though I was the first customer to arrive, it took quite a while for the dish to be served, making me nervous. The chicken was hearty, with plenty of vegetables like shiitake mushrooms and okra making a strong appearance. Vegetables in Hokkaido are indeed delicious, especially the potatoes. The soup had a different taste compared to other places I've tried, more like a curry udon from a soba shop. It started off not too spicy, but the heat and spiciness gradually built up, making me break out in a sweat. Soup curry is hot and filling, not ideal for going to multiple restaurants in a row. Enjoyed savoring the flavors of Hokkaido curry while sipping it down.

The photo shows a Chicken Soup Curry with a spice level of 2, double the vegetables, and a seared cheese topping. It's a generous portion, but the soup is light so it was delicious and satisfying until the end. The chicken was tasty. I would like to try the beef tendon next time.

I didn't quite understand how to eat soup curry, but I'm starting to figure out my own way of eating it. It's located within walking distance from Sapporo Station, a little away from the bustling area. I visited around 5:30 pm on a Sunday. The air conditioning inside the restaurant seemed to be not working well, so there was a fan placed to provide some relief. The menu was extensive, but I ordered chicken, spiciness level 2, half portion of rice, and a bottle of beer for 650 yen. The interior of the restaurant had a mixed Western style, and it was curious to see manga lined up in a curry restaurant. The beer that came out quickly was in a small bottle. The soup curry was naturally filled with ingredients, with a chunky bone-in chicken sitting prominently. Behind the chicken, there was a small potato hidden. Perhaps this is the "May Queen" potato. I took a sip of the soup to check the taste, and then proceeded to eat the ingredients, combining them with beer and rice. Until now, I had struggled with how to eat soup curry, trying to soak the rice in the soup, but it didn't quite click. Eating the ingredients at the center made more sense to me. A renaissance! Personally, spiciness level 2 was just right for me. I enjoyed it until the end. One thing that caught my attention was the illustration on the front, with a finger in the nose. Somehow, it's not very pleasant to see this while eating. Thank you for the meal.

During the summer vacation season, after finishing work in the morning on a Saturday, I had lunch to prepare for the afternoon. Some shops were closed for the holidays, while others were bustling with tourists. I was able to find a parking spot at this crowded restaurant. When I arrived, it was a bit past lunchtime and the seats were mostly filled. I ordered the sausage curry, which was served in about 10 minutes. The soup contained vegetables and two large sausages. One sausage had a smoky aroma, while the other was softer with a meaty flavor. The soup had a good balance of spiciness and umami, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I think this soup curry restaurant has been in business for a long time. It had been a while since my last visit. I chose the seasonal limited edition "Nameri Baron" which was slimy with ingredients like okra, natto, and mountain vegetables. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious with ample seating. The taste seemed to have less garlic compared to before, and was relatively light. The rice seemed to have some barley mixed in. I enjoyed the okra and baron, but it wasn't exactly to my liking.

Chicken soup curry with spice level 2, topped with soy milk. The soy milk helps to slightly mellow out the spiciness. The chicken is tender and easy to break apart with a spoon. The carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, bell peppers, and eggplant are all cut into large pieces, providing a satisfying bite. Additionally, there is cabbage and macaroni throughout. The cabbage could be a bit less, but the curry flavor is delicious. The rice is slightly firm and neatly portioned, making it easy to eat. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience. I will definitely be returning.

Visited the fifth curry restaurant on the Hokkaido tour. Arrived on a weekday at 12:30, with 3 people waiting outside. Entered at 12:32. Sat at a table for 2 and looked at the menu. Ordered the Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday limited beef tendon stew for 1,342 yen, with a spice level of 6 and 100g of rice. After a 15-minute wait, the soup curry and rice arrived. The soup curry was mildly spicy with a smoky aroma, possibly from the beef tendon. It had plenty of ingredients like potatoes, eggplant, pumpkin, bell peppers, cabbage, daikon, carrots, Chinese cabbage, glass noodles, and beef tendon. I started with the vegetables, then enjoyed the tender beef tendon and glass noodles. The portion of beef tendon was generous and left me feeling full. The glass noodles were also good. I alternated between the rice and soup as usual, but found 100g of rice to be too much. I think 50g would be better. They offer a 100 yen discount if you bring your own beard trimmer, so I plan to do that next time. Thank you for the meal.

After 1 p.m., the parking lot was open. The pork dish I wanted to try after 5 years, Hige Baron Pork, was sold out. So, I ordered chicken with a spiciness level of 10, along with 2 pieces of pickled radish. I should have probably ordered more pickled radish. It was surprisingly cheap at 22 yen for one piece. The soup was delicious with ingredients like glass noodles and Chinese cabbage. Next time, I might go with 5 pieces of pickled radish and increase the spiciness level.

When it comes to soup curry, ☆Hige Baron☆ is a must-try. Their Japanese-style soup curry is light and delicious, with the unique addition of shirataki noodles. They have an interesting promotion called "Hige Waribiki," where customers with beards can get a 100 yen discount each time they visit. So fun!

I felt like having soup curry on the same day, so I checked out Hige Ojisan based on good reviews on Tabelog. It was around 6 pm on a weekday, but the restaurant was almost full. You can choose your favorite curry, toppings, and spiciness level (1-6 or infinite). I chose chicken curry with grilled cheese topping and a spiciness level of 2 without hesitation. The soup was filled with the umami essence of chicken and lots of vegetables. I also liked the large vegetable cuts in the curry. The taste and atmosphere of the restaurant were both very good.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:20, as it opens at 11. The place was crowded with many customers. I ordered the "Baron of Meat" which was a dish with chicken, sausage, and lots of vegetables. It was very filling. I chose the level 5 spicy, and although the soup was a bit milder than I expected, it had a good kick of spices and was delicious. I would like to try the "Baron of Beans" next time. Thank you for the meal.

Located near the Sapporo TV Tower and behind the bus terminal, this soup curry restaurant is a hidden gem. I ordered the chicken curry with a spice level of "6" (I enjoy spicy food) and opted for less rice (200g). As someone who is not a soup curry expert, I found the fried vegetables to be sweet and crunchy, while the chicken was flavorful and juicy, making for a satisfying dish. The soup (curry?) was delicious, with a classic taste that would appeal to many. The staff were polite and welcoming, and I would love to visit again in the future.

・Chicken 1,232 yen (tax included) Chicken leg with basic ingredients. Basic ingredients include sweet potatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, pumpkin, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, carrots, daikon radish, and glass noodles. The chicken leg has a crispy surface. The meat is not overly tender, giving a satisfying feeling when eating it. The soup is on the thinner side. You can choose the level of spiciness, and this one was at a 2, equivalent to medium spicy. The balance of spiciness, flavor, and soup richness is excellent, making it an exemplary soup curry. The rice portion is regular, 300g, made with barley. Quietly finished the meal and cleared the plate.
・Ice Chai 440 yen (tax included) After the meal, enjoyed an Ice Chai to cool down the body. Sweetened with a hint of cinnamon as an accent.

I started a gourmet website for Mitomi Emon. Homepage "https://blog.33inc.jp/" Instagram "@mitomi_emon" Visited the soup curry shop "Hige Danshaku" founded in 2007. The name does not come from the nickname of the popular band Official Hige Dandism or the comedian Hige Danshaku known for his Renaissance! gag. It is said to be derived from the baron potato originating in Hokkaido. There is a strong attachment to beards, and people with beards receive a 100 yen discount. Mitomi Emon, with a chin beard, gratefully received the discount. I ordered the classic chicken curry with a spice level of 3. The soup curry is rich in flavor. It is said to be made with a Japanese-style broth, but the essence of chicken bones and pork bones seems to be strong. The ingredients are of course baron-sized, with a generous amount. In addition to the standard toppings like bell peppers, carrots, and pumpkins, there are also rare toppings like daikon, Chinese cabbage, and glass noodles. It feels like you are eating a curry hot pot. Thank you for the meal!

During the spare time while changing tires, I had lunch at this restaurant I had been eyeing. I had the spicy beef and cheese broccoli topping. It was spicy and flavorful, almost like eating sukiyaki with a kick. Definitely lives up to its popularity as a top restaurant.

Delicious soup curry restaurant. It's relatively close to Sapporo Station and Sapporo Factory, so it's easy to get to. I like thick soup, so if you like that too, be sure to try it! The crispy chicken was delicious. There were glass noodles inside, which I thought was a unique ingredient. The regular serving size of rice is 300g, so I was quite full!

★★★★★: I ordered a soup curry with natto in it and it was the most shocking soup curry I've ever had. The taste of natto was strong and it's a must-try for natto lovers.
★★★★☆: Atmosphere - The restaurant is spacious with large tables, so you can enjoy your meal leisurely.
★★★★☆: Revisit - If I ever visit this area again, I would definitely want to stop by this restaurant.
