I visited for lunch during a business trip to Niikappu town. This time, I ordered the "miso" ramen. The soup was filled to the brim. There were plenty of toppings, but the noodles were a bit lacking. I feel like I could get full just from the toppings. Personally, I prefer shio (salt) ramen over miso. Ramen preferences vary from person to person. I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

I visited for lunch. I was on a business trip to Niikappu Town. This time, I ordered the "Butter (Salt)" ramen. It has a lot of toppings♫ The butter is huge (・_・; I didn't expect the butter to be this big! There are so many toppings that it's hard to reach the noodles (^^;; The salt butter ramen is delicious♫ I would like to come back to eat it again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Visited for dinner. I came to Newtoki-cho on a business trip. Found this place on Tabelog. I was torn, but this time I ordered the "Salt with Local Chicken" because it's rare to have local chicken in it. The soup is delicious♫ but a little oily maybe... The local chicken is delicious(^^) I wish there was a bit more though(・_・; I want to come back to try a different flavor. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Today, I did what I could by being careful and at least supporting a restaurant. I came with the feeling of "Let's give it our all" ✨ For my 3 o'clock snack today, I stopped by "Horyu Shintoku Store" for the first time in about 15 years (^-^)/ It is located along Route 38, near the Chubetsu Shimizu Line, at the intersection with Road 75 that leads to Kusari. The exterior is a single-story building with a red triangular roof. Inside, there is a dignified atmosphere with 12 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each on a raised platform. It was exactly 3 o'clock.
I ordered the Chicken Salt Ramen for 1,000 yen (tax included) ✨ It arrived in about 9 minutes. The toppings included Shintoku local chicken, sautéed leeks, green onions, seaweed, wheat gluten, and white sesame seeds. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles. The soup was a light pork bone-based broth with seafood and vegetable flavors. There was not much chicken meat in it, so it could be called "Sesame Ramen" (laughs). The chicken oil brought out the good flavor of Shintoku local chicken, and there was a delicious taste of Shintoku local chicken. Although I don't mind the price if it's delicious, the Shintoku local chicken meat was a bit small for 1,000 yen (^^; as mentioned by other reviewers, it's a bit on the pricier side. Next time, I'll come back to try the cold ramen ⤴️ Thank you for the meal m(__)m
Horyu Shintoku Store also offers takeout ☆

In the morning, I left my local area and headed towards Tokachi. Along the way, we decided to stop for lunch at a place I often see but have never visited before, "Horyu Shintoku Shop." Horyu has been a favorite ramen shop since I was a child, and it felt like a long time since I last had it as an adult. The Shintoku shop only has a counter and a raised tatami seating area, no tables or chairs. It was crowded during the Golden Week holiday lunchtime, and the owner was managing everything alone, looking quite busy. The raised tatami table was a bit sticky, so I wiped it myself, but that's common in traditional ramen shops, so I didn't mind. I ordered the "Miso Ramen" for 850 yen, a classic from Horyu that started in Sapporo. The soup was the first thing I tasted upon arrival. Ah, this is it, just like I remembered. I've gotten used to thick and strong miso soup recently, so the mellow soup was a nice change. It had vegetables, sweet shinachiku, green onions, chashu, and plenty of wakame. And it stayed piping hot until the last bite! It's been a while since I finished a hot ramen while blowing on it. My companion had the "Old-fashioned Soy Sauce Ramen" for 800 yen, and I heard the "Salt Ramen with Local Chicken" is recommended. If I ever come back, I'll try that. It's a great choice for those who love piping hot ramen!

I visited the Boryu New Tokachi store for the second time. Boryu is known for its Tokachi Jidori chicken ramen. The store is quite spacious, and the owner runs it alone. I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 850 yen, which was a bit surprising considering it is the highest price among all the Boryu stores in Tokachi. I waited for about 8 minutes, listening to the noisy kitchen sounds. The ramen arrived in a large bowl, filled to the brim with soup. The soup was a bit thin for my liking, lacking in flavor. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, similar to other stores. The toppings included plenty of wakame seaweed, which I found a bit overwhelming, along with stir-fried bean sprouts that were cooked just right. The ramen also had bamboo shoots, char siu pork, and green onions, offering a generous portion. Overall, I felt that this particular Boryu store did not quite meet my expectations. I have now visited all the Boryu stores in Tokachi, and while each store has its own unique items, they do not seem to be widely known. I have tried Boryu at a store in Sapporo as well, and I am curious to explore more stores in different locations. Thank you, Boryu New Tokachi store, for the meal.

Since the Shimizu-cho branch was closed, I visited the Niikappu branch. I ordered the miso ramen in large size for 850 yen. The interior of the restaurant was busy with the owner working alone to prepare and clean up the ramen. After a bit of a wait, the ramen was served. It had a mild miso flavor, not too rich or too light, but surprisingly satisfying. It reminded me of the ramen from Horyu-ya! I really like the ramen from Horyu-ya!

I stopped by this ramen shop while driving because I was hungry. The interior was a bit old-fashioned with worn-out cushions and a traditional Japanese toilet, giving it a nostalgic feel. I ordered miso ramen, which came with plenty of toppings like seaweed. The taste was quite ordinary, but still delicious.
