It has a black-walled exterior and a cozy interior with 5 counter seats and 3 four-person table seats. You can choose your order from the daily menu written on the blackboard. I ordered the "Mother's Lunch" set for 1,000 yen, which included tonkatsu, today's fried dish (Bologna sausage), and today's side dish (green beans with mustard mayo). The food was delicious, with the tonkatsu being crispy and flavorful, and the Bologna sausage fry being a unique and tasty surprise. The friendly atmosphere, along with the taste of home-cooked meals, made me feel like I was visiting my own mother. I will definitely come back to "Hidamari" to enjoy more of their delicious food. Today, I wanted to eat home-cooked food, so I visited "Hidamari" after a long time. It is located in Ogoe, Shimizu-cho. The exterior is a one-story building with a gray wall. The interior is cozy, with currently 5 seats at the L-shaped counter and 2 four-person table seats. You choose your order from the options available. I ordered the "Ofukuro's lunch" for 800 yen (tax included), which includes simmered mackerel, today's fry, today's dish from Ofukuro, and sprouted brown rice. I also ordered the "Today's fry" for 200 yen (tax included). It is almost pre-made, so the fry is quickly fried in about 5 minutes. The mother remembered me from my previous visit and I was happy. She kept talking and I couldn't find the right time to leave (laughs). Today's fry was flounder, fluffy and delicious with a nice amount of fat. The simmered mackerel was carefully deboned, easy to eat, and well-flavored with miso, very delicious. Thank you for the meal, mother. I will come back to taste the flavors of home again. I went to Hidamari-san! It was my first visit, but I remembered passing by the front of the store before. The building is new and clean inside. There is a female owner who is very energetic and cheerful. The set meal is 800 yen, and you can choose 3 items from the menu to order. I had a hard time deciding because I wanted to try everything. The meal was served quickly, within 3 minutes of ordering. The portion size was a bit small, and I wished there was one more item included. You can add an extra item for 100 yen. The food tasted like homemade cooking, with a gentle flavor. The miso soup had various ingredients, but the onion was quite raw. Overall, it was a well-balanced and healthy meal that tasted delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I was told that it was caught by the owner's husband yesterday, so it's fresh. The sprouted brown rice was slightly sweet and tasty. You choose the side dishes written on the placemat, write your name, and hand it over. The mother then brings the dishes and rice on the mat with your name on it. It's really nice how she calls you by name when handing you the food. The place is like a comforting "sunny spot" as the name suggests. The lunchtime is very popular among locals. When it's crowded, they may ask you to leave it up to them, which shows it's a community gathering place. I really hope that this kind of restaurant will stay around forever.
