Hakodate ⇒ Chitose trip. For the last dinner, we had Italian at Windsor Hotel. Although we considered French as well since we were at Windsor Hotel, we decided on Italian as we had French the previous day. It was delicious and relatively quiet, allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace. Definitely a hidden gem, highly recommended. For the main dishes, I had the Rusutsu pork porchetta, my wife had the wine lamb rack grigliata, and our daughter had the Wagyu spettatino. Each dish was unique and delicious. Italian cuisine never disappoints. It was a great meal, thank you!

Having dinner with friends at "Cerostelatto Windsor" for some Italian cuisine! It's a separate building pizzeria at The Windsor Hotel Toya, right? ^^ <Ordered Menu> - Hokkaido's rich fresh mozzarella "Burrata" and tomato salad - Baked cheese - Tagliatelle - Stellato salad For the salad, we ordered the "Hokkaido's rich fresh mozzarella 'Burrata' and tomato salad"! In the middle of the plate, there is half-soft mozzarella cheese, Burrata, surrounded by colorful leafy vegetables, making it look very beautiful! We will generously drizzle it with pistachio oil. From the à la carte menu, we chose the "Baked Cheese" option. It's a mix of four types of cheese, including Gorgonzola, baked in the oven. We enjoyed the hot cheese along with freshly baked bread. The balance of the cheese blend is excellent, with a rich taste and a hint of Gorgonzola flavor that blends well together! The aroma of the pizza dough bread is also delicious, and the elegant aftertaste makes it enjoyable until the end! We chose "Tagliatelle" for the pasta! Tagliatelle is flat pasta with a chewy texture. The sauce is a creamy sauce with ingredients like shrimp, scallops from Funka Bay, and tomatoes. The sauce amount is minimal, but it's quite creamy and heavy. The flavors of the shrimp and scallops are robust, making it a delicious pasta! I wonder if this is a limited-time offer? You can upgrade the pasta by adding "Caviar"! If you can enjoy high-quality "Fresh Caviar" born in Lake Shikotsu, why not! I indulged and added an extra 6g! From the pizza category, we decided on "Stellato"! Stellato is the original pizza of this restaurant. The toppings include ham, onions, maitake mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and green peppers. In the middle of the pizza, there is a half-cooked egg. The creamy texture when you break it is also enjoyable. It has a strong garlic flavor and a punchy taste. The pizza dough is crispy and delicious! The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious and stylish. It has a mountain lodge style with a lot of wood textures used. It seems you can see Lake Toya from the windows, but it was night time (lol). Maybe one day, on a sunny day, having lunch while enjoying the view could be nice...♪

When visiting Lake Toya, we decided to have lunch at this casual restaurant since we were unfamiliar with the area and traveling with children for a day trip. We didn't research well enough and mistakenly thought the restaurant was inside the Windsor Hotel as it was listed on their website. After being directed by a porter that it was not in the hotel, we finally arrived after retracing our steps. However, the only way to access the restaurant was via stairs, making it difficult to bring a stroller. The food was okay, but the seasoning seemed inconsistent and a bit bland. The recommended cheese dishes had a strong cheese flavor, but overall, the quality didn't quite match the price. The view from the restaurant was excellent though.

I stayed at The Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa. Since we were a group of 8 people, we chose this restaurant which is a bit far from the hotel but seemed to accommodate our group size. We couldn't make a reservation at the hotel restaurant due to the large number of people. We had to take a bus to get to the restaurant. Upon arriving, we were impressed by the modern mountain lodge-style building. We were able to order a variety of dishes because of our group size, and all the dishes were delicious with no disappointments. We had quite a bit of alcohol, so the bill was a bit high, but we were satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Yay! Hokkaido (*^_^*) Just being in Hokkaido already gets me excited, and finding delicious pizza makes me even more excited. For lunch on the first day in Hokkaido, I decided to eat at La locanda del pittore near the hotel. Cheers with a glass of white wine♪ Having alcohol for lunch makes me feel so happy. I definitely ordered pizza. And then pasta, salad, and other things I wanted to eat. First, olives and salad! The pittore salad is full of vegetables and very delicious. Then basil salad, steamed clams, spare ribs, and delicious dishes keep coming one after another (*^_^*) The pizza baked in a stone oven was really delicious. I felt so happy and full from the delicious food for lunch♪ Thank you for the wonderful meal♪

We visited the restaurant on the second day of the 3-day weekend for lunch around 12:30 with my family. Although the restaurant was only about 30% full and we didn't have a reservation, we were able to sit at a window seat with a view of Lake Toya. Lucky us! Since we had a big breakfast, we weren't very hungry, so we ordered Minestrone soup and a Bismarck pizza. The Minestrone soup arrived in about 10 minutes. The well-cooked beans melted in my mouth, and the flavor of celery and finely chopped pork added a delicious touch. Soon after, the Bismarck pizza arrived. The server crushed the semi-soft egg in the middle of the pancetta and carefully cut the pizza into 8 slices. I enjoyed the pizza with plenty of pancetta, dipping the runny egg. The crust was crispy and moist, and the combination of pancetta, egg, and cream was exquisite. I wished the eating time could last forever because it was the best pizza that suited my taste. It's a bit pricey, but I definitely want to come back again.

During my stay at the Windsor Hotel in Lake Toya, I felt like having pasta for lunch, so I made a reservation. Depending on the season and time, you can apparently take a gondola from the hotel, but this time we took a bus transfer. The restaurant had a casual mountain hut-style interior, and the gondola station was located in the same building. As a pasta lover, I was torn between two pasta dishes, but I found a half & half pizza, so I ordered a green salad, Piacele (half & half Margherita and Piccante), and Carbonara. The pizza had a perfect combination of dough, simple tomato sauce, and cheese, and it was delicious. Ordering the pizza was the right choice. Paired with white wine, it was a delightful lunch. Before starting my food blog to respond to the coronavirus, I found an old review from September 2006. I landed at Asahikawa Airport, rented a car, and traveled a long distance to Asahiyama Zoo, Furano, Jozankei Onsen, and The Windsor Hotel Toya. Since I had come all the way to The Windsor Hotel Toya, I decided to explore the hotel facilities. I chose to have a casual lunch at the pizzeria "La Locanda del Pittore" (the name at that time). Located at the foot of the ski resort attached to the hotel, I took a free shuttle bus to the restaurant so that I could enjoy alcohol without worrying. They serve pizza and pasta that bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. The pizza crust was not too thin or too thick, and the saltiness was mild, allowing the flavor of the ingredients to shine. I ordered the seasonal menu Asparagus, Prosciutto, Soft-Boiled Egg pizza in 80% size. For pasta, I had the Ringuine with Scallops and Leeks. It was delicious, with lots of garlic sautéed to harmonize the sweetness of the scallops and leeks. Including drinks, the cost was around 2,000 yen per person. Among the hotel's restaurants, this one is probably the most reasonable.

Lunch visit with family. General impressions: - Located near Lake Toya. - Ordered Tagliatelle, Margherita pizza, and stone oven bread. - The Margherita pizza crust was crispy. - The bread was also crispy. - The pasta noodles were chewy. - Everything was very delicious.

The aroma of porcini mushrooms is amazing, and the cream pasta and quattro formaggi are all delicious at this lovely restaurant. I would love to visit again.

Niigata Prefecture has a sister restaurant in Yuzawa. Both places not only have a great atmosphere, but also serve delicious food. I usually just have pizza, but I tried pasta at this restaurant for the first time. It was so good! The service is also good. I wish I had made a reservation to sit by Lake Toya and enjoy the view. (Although it was empty on weekdays, it seems that only reserved guests can sit by the lake)

Napoli-style pizza rather than authentic Neapolitan pizza. The location is good (not at the Windsor Hotel on top of the mountain, so be careful), the service is friendly yet polite, and the interior is stylish. Unfortunately, if you expect Neapolitan pizza, this is not the place to go. The mozzarella cheese hardens quickly when cold, and the tomato sauce is too strong in flavor. Since there are various local products available, it would be better to offer a pizza with more local flavor. Claiming to be an "authentic Neapolitan pizza" and serving the standard Neapolitan pizza, the taste is not up to par. Despite my critical review, the staff was really great.

The scenery is also excellent.
