I have been enjoying the bento boxes here recently. I usually always get the shrimp fry bento, but this time I ordered the chicken cutlet & mixed fry bento. The original sauce that comes with the fried food is delicious. The simmered dishes, tamagoyaki, macaroni salad, spaghetti, and chicken fry are all tasty as well. Handmade bento boxes are really different, huh? I've tried various dishes, but I don't mind the slightly sweet chicken fry. I want to try other menu items as well. This is a bento shop that makes me want to come back for more.

Dinner can be a hassle to make, so when I'm feeling lazy, I find "Nikoniko Bento" to be convenient. Tonight, I'm good with this. I use their services occasionally. The contents include 2 shrimp fry, 3 zangi, 3 tamagoyaki, ginger grilled, grilled salmon, duck smoked marinated, simmered dish, and potato salad kamaboko, etc. They use overseas ingredients and offer them cheaply. The only high-cost ingredient in this side dish is salmon. It's probably about 100 yen per piece at cost. Next is white rice, and after that, maybe the duck smoked. Anyway, it's great to have change from a thousand yen. The quality is sufficient, so I'll continue to use it. Thank you~

The necessary items seemed to be pre-prepared. I paid in less than 5 minutes and took the bento back to my home in Atsubetsu. I ate directly from the pack. The hamburger demi-glace sauce seemed to be made with chicken rather than pork. The bento also included french fries, simmered pork belly, onion salad, and tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette). There was a crispy pickled plum in the center of the rice. The Karaage was small in size, about 10 pieces. It was lightly seasoned and crispy, with a hint of junky powder on top. It was affordable, quick, and filling. The oil may have been a bit old, so I couldn't eat a large amount, but it was still enjoyable. I would definitely want to eat here again. June 2016, Salmon Bento Box for 389 yen I got back late, so I decided to get takeout for dinner. I searched for a local bento shop instead of a chain store and found one along Hongo Street. There didn't seem to be a parking lot. I love salmon, so I ordered the salmon bento box, while my friend got the fried chicken bento box. There were three customers ahead of us, so we had to wait a bit. Unlike chain stores, the side dishes here had a homemade feel to them. The tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) was delicious. Big Bento (no rice) for 1000 yen. The variety of side dishes is abundant, perfect for someone like me who likes to try a little bit of everything. Overall, it was delicious. The ginger pork was a bit strong on the ginger, not really a dish that goes well with rice. The service was a bit blunt and not very good.
