Enjoy White Ezo beef for less than 3,000 yen♪ This restaurant is run by the popular yakiniku chain, Tokusuke, in Shiraoi. The name KANTO means "heaven" in Ainu language. I tried a set where I could taste Shiraoi beef, and it truly felt like reaching "heaven." I haven't been to Tokusuke, a yakiniku chain with many branches in Sapporo, much. Their lunch set costs over 1,000 yen, giving me the impression that it's a bit pricey. Two years ago, KANTO opened in Shiraoi. It's located along the Shikisai Kaido, and every time I passed by, I was curious. This time, during a one-night trip, I decided to splurge a bit and visit. It was past 9 o'clock. I entered Upopoy for the first time and spent about 3 hours exploring. There's still so much to see that one visit won't be enough, so I'm glad I bought an annual passport (2,000 yen). I plan to visit 1 or 2 more times before winter. I had only seen Upopoy from the outside during previous visits to Shiraoi. I never imagined it would be like this inside. The night before, I researched various restaurants where I could eat Shiraoi beef. Places I've been to, places I haven't. I double-checked the menus of the restaurants I was considering. KANTO was my third choice. While exploring Upopoy, I learned that KANTO means "heaven" in Ainu, which made me want to visit Tokusuke's KANTO. Maybe that was Tokusuke's intention all along (laughs). But that's okay, I'm in the middle of a trip. I drove up the Shikisai Kaido. As I approached, I saw a huge building. It's a road I pass by every time I come from Otaru to Shiraoi, so I'm familiar with it. There were a few cars in the spacious parking lot. I entered and was told it was full (but not really...). I wrote my name down and waited. It was around 12:30, the busiest time. I didn't have any plans after, so I was willing to wait. We were guided to the waiting area after a 7-8 minute wait. I looked at the menu and placed my order around 12:40. Our order: ☆Farm Set B, with extra rice - 2,860 yen ☆Porotora Plate, Hamburger & Shiraoi beef thigh steak - 2,640 yen ☆Porotopork kalbi, single item - 880 yen, with medium rice - 297 yen Total of 6,677 yen for 3 people!! It's more than I would usually spend on lunch, but I'm on a trip. The atmosphere was nice, so I didn't mind the wait. Our food arrived at 13:20. The 40-minute wait felt quite long. It was past 1 o'clock, so I was feeling quite hungry. I started grilling the meat right away. ◎Farm Set B - 2,860 yen I opted for extra rice at no extra cost. It came with salad, wakame soup, kimchi, namul, and more. The meat included Shiraoi beef kalbi, Shiraoi beef loin, and special upper salted tongue (not Shiraoi beef), 60g each. A total of 180g. It's not just about the meat, it's more like a set meal at this price, so it didn't feel too expensive. I put the meat on the grill and had some soup. The wakame soup was really delicious!! I wonder if it tastes the same at other branches? The salad was crunchy. The dressing was light, so I ended up eating the tasteless vegetables towards the end, but in hindsight, it might have been good to try eating it like lettuce. ☆Special Upper Salted Tongue It's not Shiraoi beef, but it was incredibly delicious!!! The flavor was amazing, especially when dipped in salt sauce. The umami spread throughout my mouth and body. I now want to try the upper salted tongue at Tokusuke's branch in Sapporo. I just checked, and it's a single item for 957 yen at the closest Teine branch. If it's around that price, I might give it a try! ☆Shiraoi Beef Lean Loin I dipped this in sauce. It's the kind of meat that lets you truly taste the essence of beef. This is beef! This is meat! This was also very delicious, but the outstanding flavor was only in the first piece. ☆Shiraoi Beef Kalbi This kalbi is out of this world!! It's been a while since I've had such a sweet meat, almost like sugar! I had two out of the three pieces with salt on the table. Salt is the best for delicious kalbi meat. The flavor and sweetness that pierce through your brain. The salt really enhances the taste.

It's Meat Day, I have a discount coupon, so let's go to Tokujyu~ Since the Tomakomai store seems crowded, I visited the KANTO store at 11:50. The background music is country music like Faron Young♪ To use the 1000 yen discount coupon, the bill must be over 3000 yen... Looking at the menu prices... Found it! 3080 yen! (laughs) Farm Yakiniku Set B, with medium rice and white soup. First, I grilled the aged salted tongue rare with salt and pepper, topped it with wasabi and squeezed lemon... Delicious~ I'll make original sauce for the lean loin and top kalbi. Mix green onions and garlic chives into the sauce! Add vinegar and garlic for extra flavor... Original? Everyone does it this way, right? Dip the meat in the sauce... Delicious! The white (beef bone) soup is great with added pepper. After paying the bill, I received a 1000 yen discount coupon. After driving for a little over an hour from New Chitose Airport, I stopped by KANTO in Shiraoi for lunch. I ordered the Hamburg steak for 1,300 yen, which came with rice, soup, salad, and coffee as part of the A set for 580 yen. The total came to 2,068 yen including tax. The quality of the meat in the Hamburg steak was excellent, made from flavorful Shiraoi beef. The side dishes of potatoes, daikon radish, and zucchini were also delicious. I enjoyed my coffee while looking out the window at the green scenery.

Before visiting Noboribetsu Onsen, my wife, daughter, and I had lunch here. I ordered the yakiniku, my wife had the hamburger & steak, and my daughter had the cold noodles. The dipping sauce condiments included chopped green onions, chopped chives, garlic, and chili peppers, all chilled. The hamburger & steak were cooked on a hot plate right at our table, sizzling away. When the cold noodles arrived, we shared and enjoyed our meal together. Everything was delicious. I requested scissors to cut the meat and a plate to share, and the staff were very accommodating and provided excellent service. It was a satisfying and enjoyable lunch experience. I visited during the lunch rush at GW. My daughter had roast beef bowl, I had Wagyu beef cutlet set (no photos), and my husband had Bolognese pasta. The salad that came with the pasta and roast beef bowl was refillable and quite generous. It was my first time trying beef cutlet, and I found that it tasted best with the salt and pepper on the table. The cutlet seemed a bit disappointing as it was too sweet and the coating didn't have good oil drainage, possibly because it needed to be cooked rare inside. Despite that, my family enjoyed the meal, so I'm glad. We ended with a strawberry shake, which was delicious with lots of fresh strawberries. Thank you for the meal.

When I went up towards the mountains, I found this place. They have a cultivated area and a dog run, creating a nice atmosphere. It would have been even better if the weather was nice. Inside the restaurant, there is a retail section at the entrance, and a spacious seating area at the back with a holiday-like vibe. The Yukkejang soup can be chosen in different levels of spiciness, and I went for the extra spicy option. Personally, I don't find it too spicy but it's delicious. We ordered the grilled meat sampler with 5 varieties and the grilled aged beef tongue sampler with 3 varieties. We indulged in trying all 8 varieties together. It was delicious. This is my second visit to Yakiniku Tokuju in Shiraoi, a restaurant that mainly focuses on Shiraoi beef. Last time, I had the beef cutlet, but this time it was sold out, so I decided to try the beef stew. It was delicious with plenty of vegetables and the beef from Shiraoi. Thank you for the meal! :)

I used it for lunch during my trip and it was the best meat I've ever had. I've never eaten anything like it before. It was a tour so I'm not sure about the price, but looking at the menu next to me, it was probably around 2000-3000 yen. I think it was the best meal of this trip to Hokkaido. (◕ᴗ◕✿)

With the opening of the UPOPOI symbol space for coexistence of ethnic groups, many new restaurants have opened in Shiraoi town in recent years. One of the standout establishments is KANTO, which is home to the popular yakiniku chain restaurant "Tokusu." In front of the shop, there is a greenhouse for growing strawberries, which you can purchase inside. We tried the sukiyaki set meal, yukgaejang soup, salad, and more, all showcasing the rich flavor of Shiraoi beef. The staff at the restaurant were efficient and friendly, and the tastefully decorated interior created a sense of escape from the ordinary. We not only enjoyed the delicious food but also left feeling happy.

We made a reservation and went with three people the day after receiving the second dose of the vaccine. I had a fever, but since I didn't have any fever-reducing medication, I took Benza Block and went to bed. I didn't want to be the only one left out if my temperature didn't go down. We ordered White Old Cow Cutlet for 1,650 yen, Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream for 440 yen, Small Rice for 242 yen, and a set drink of Iced Coffee for 275 yen. The restaurant is located inland in Shiraoi, not along the coast. It's a vast area with a large building that looks confusing on how to enter. There are restrooms outside and a small park nearby. The terrace seats are available for takeout starting from 10 am, while dining in the restaurant starts at 11 am. The staff members are dressed like cowboys, giving off a Speedwagon Ideta vibe. We ordered various dishes, including a barbecue set, a plate of White Old Cow Galbi and Loin, and a gratin with hamburg and seafood. I chose the White Old Cow Cutlet, which was tender and delicious with a beautiful red color. For dessert, we had soft serve ice cream and I chose the strawberry flavor. The presentation was elaborate, but the service was quick and efficient. Overall, we enjoyed the delicious and reasonably priced meal in a lovely and peaceful atmosphere.

The steak bowl was amazing! I thought it might be about 2000 yen short, but I was full. Surprisingly, there was plenty of meat! Great value for money. For dessert, I had a 1000 yen strawberry parfait with creamy and milky flavor, it was delicious! The staff quickly noticed when I needed water and provided excellent service. I'm already thinking about what to eat next time.

The white old cow was relatively expensive, but there was no mention of the cheaper cutlet part, so I asked the staff. They said it was a lean cut in the middle of the loin, so I ordered it. It looked delicious with a pink color, but lacked flavor. The rice and soup were average. To lift my spirits, I ordered the "Strawberry Princess Shortcake" with a 3-minute expiration date. My companion chose the restaurant, and it turned out to be a high-end yakiniku place. We were the first ones to arrive as soon as they opened. Soon after, more and more customers started coming in, including some who were only there for desserts. The prices were high, so it took us a while to decide on our orders. Eventually, I settled for a lunch set, while my companion chose the "Shiraoi Porotra Plate" and a Caesar salad. The food arrived promptly, and to my surprise, it was brought to us by a machine (a robot?). The meal included hamburger steak, Shiraoi beef steak, pilaf, pasta, Shiraoi egg omelette, sautéed Shiraoi mushrooms, and pickled mini tomatoes. The hamburger steak was a bit dry, but the beef steak was tender and delicious. Overall, the dishes were all subtly seasoned. My companion thought it was just right, but personally, I would have preferred more flavor. The variety in the set plate was nice, and considering the price... I would like to try their yakiniku next time, especially after enjoying the steak. It might not be easy to visit again soon, but perhaps trying their desserts could be a good idea. This is a yakiniku restaurant that opened in May 2021 in the Morino area of Shiraoi Town. It is a high-end restaurant targeting tourists, opened by the Tokuju Group, which operates several yakiniku restaurants in the Sapporo area, in Shiraoi, the production area of the branded beef "Shiraoi beef". Since we couldn't go out as a family to eat yakiniku, we decided to enjoy some takeout sweets. This time, we chose the "Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream" for 430 yen. This specialty ice cream, made by blending fresh strawberries in a blender, has layers of fresh strawberries, rich ice cream, and castella cake, making it a very satisfying treat. It was the most impactful ice cream we've had recently. It seems that you can also take out BBQ meat, so I'm looking forward to trying the meat next time.

I visited the restaurant for work and decided to have lunch there. Since I was alone, I ordered the most reasonable lunch plate assuming they wouldn't have yakiniku. I thought the hamburger would be safe, but surprisingly, even the pasta side dish was delicious. When I looked into the open kitchen, I saw that they boiled the pasta and finished it in a frying pan after receiving the order. It was the first time I saw such attention to detail for a side pasta dish! The rice was not just white rice, but cooked with corn, showing the effort put into it. The omelette was also delicious, overshadowing the main hamburger. It's worth noting that the portion size is quite large for women! After the meal, they even offered warm tea, showing great hospitality. If I come here on a trip, I would like to try the steak with beer. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to Tokuju Farm Restaurant KANTO! It opened on 5/28. I saw it on TV the day before and went with my family right away. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including yakiniku, hamburgers, pasta, salad, and dessert. Everything we ate was incredibly delicious! The wagyu beef is raised at Tokuju Farm. I was disappointed that the Strawberry Princess Shortcake with a 3-minute expiration was sold out and we couldn't try it. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Grand opening on May 28th! Located in Morino, Shiraoi Town. It's the famous Tokusu's ranch & steak restaurant known for their delicious yakiniku. It's a mix of casual and fancy dining. The "Shiraoi Pork Try Steak Plate" costs ¥2,200 plus ¥110 for soup. The dining hall is very spacious, with staff dressed in Western-style attire. The restaurant has a large interior and ample parking, typical of Hokkaido. You can enjoy various dishes made with tasty Shiraoi beef, including Tokusu's yakiniku specialties, plates, and yakiniku set meals.

It was the opening day at TOM's and Morino and it was 12:20 pm. The staff were all flustered but it was an enjoyable lunch. T ordered steak and I ordered hamburger & steak. The waitress got my order wrong and T had already finished eating before my food arrived after a 40-minute wait. Where is the steak? The thin, cold steak looked like sashimi (see image). The manager kindly apologized and brought me a hot coffee. The coffee was warmer than the steak, hamburger, or soup. Congratulations on the opening! White Horse Polo Tri-Plate Hamburger & Steak with Soup for 2310 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a newly opened restaurant today. The interior was spacious and had a sense of openness. I ordered the cheapest yakiniku set and also the 160g hamburger. The set included kimchi, two types of namul, soup, and rice (you can choose from large, medium, small). The meat consisted of four slices of Shiraoi beef kalbi, four slices of lean loin (about 15g each), and about 60g of offal (tripe, intestines, liver) with four types of vegetables. First, I tried the hamburger... It was quite coarse and had a good texture, but I didn't feel much meat flavor. The accompanying carrots, potatoes, and broccoli also seemed to lack flavor. The yakiniku, both kalbi and loin, were average. The offal was also seasoned with miso, but it was not very good. That's why I gave this evaluation. Since there is a branch in Sapporo, I think I will visit there next time. Looking forward to it! Thank you for the meal! 🚶‍♂️
