"Seasonal cuisine and local sake Yu" is a super popular izakaya in the Hiragishi area that requires reservations. I made a reservation for a weekend night and went there! Arrived at the restaurant on time for the reservation. The interior was fully booked for reservation only. There were counter seats, a few tables for two, and two larger table seats. The table seats had a private room feel and provided a calm atmosphere for dining. I started with a cold and delicious draft beer as my first drink. For food, since I didn't opt for a course, I ordered various dishes I wanted to try. "Assorted sashimi for 3 people @ 1,000 yen each x 3" was a highlight of the menu, featuring fresh and beautifully arranged slices of tuna, salmon, scallops, cured mackerel, herring, scallops, striped jack, yellowtail, seared beltfish, and crab. All were fresh and beautifully presented, which raised my excitement. I also tried the "Tachipon @ 880 yen," a dish perfect for this season. The large and plump shirako was creamy and delicious. The "Sendai seri and duck hot pot @ 1,580 yen" was flavorful with the sweetness of the broth. The crispy texture of the seri was delightful. Other dishes I enjoyed included the "Tokyo Bay conger eel tempura @ 980 yen," "Kuri kara skewer @ 480 yen," "Toyama white shrimp karaage @ 780 yen," "White liver skewer @ 230 yen x 2," "Tsukune with raw egg skewer @ 280 yen," "Pork skewer @ 280 yen x 2," and "Sea bream rice cooked in a pot @ 980 yen." The sea bream rice took some time to cook, so I ordered it in advance. It was a great way to end the meal. I also ordered the "Dashi option @ 280 yen x 3" to enjoy the sea bream rice as ochazuke. For drinks, I had three servings of local sake. The "Cream cheese sake lees pickles @ 500 yen" and "Smoked cheese with pickled herring @ 500 yen" were perfect accompaniments to the sake. Overall, everything was delicious, and I may have ordered too much. I ended up spending around 7,000 yen per person. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were pleasant throughout. It was a delightful dining experience!"

I love Hokkaido so much!!! Before the pandemic, I used to visit Hokkaido about twice a year, but it's been a year since I last came to Sapporo for a summer vacation!!! It's a food trip! I looked it up on Tabelog and decided to visit "Seasonal Cuisine and Local Sake Yu" for the first time! I made a reservation for their most popular special Japanese course and came with my wife. Even though the roads were crowded due to a fireworks festival, we arrived about 30 minutes late for our reservation, but the owner and staff warmly welcomed us. The course started with dishes made from shrimp and golden eye snapper, both visually and tastefully outstanding. The sashimi platter was elegant and delicious. The male and female shishamo were a unique Hokkaido snack. The cold chawanmushi was delicious and refreshing in the summer heat! The tempura was also exquisite! The fruit tomato ohitashi and Hanasakigani felt like something from a French restaurant! I'm not a big fan of zucchini gratin, but it was surprisingly delicious!!! I didn't know there was miso grilled chicken wings, but they were so tasty!!! The sea bream rice was delicious on its own, but it was even better as ochazuke. Even the dessert, hojicha pudding, was a satisfying end to the dinner!!! Coming to Seasonal Cuisine and Local Sake Yu made me love Hokkaido even more!!! Thank you for the delicious meal!!!

I think it's a shop that only local people go to, but when I went to Hokkaido, I was recommended by a friend to try it. It was very crowded with local people. The cost performance was good, and all the dishes were very delicious. I would like to go there again if I visit Hokkaido.

The second time was as good as before, but after going multiple times, some flaws start to show. The complimentary dish was a cold corn chawanmushi, which was delicious on a hot day with the sweetness of the corn. The sashimi was still good value with thick cuts and a variety of options. The white liver was tasty even though the sauce didn't quite stick to it. The tsukune was fluffy and the sauce coated it well, very tasty. The corn tempura was naturally sweet and delicious. However, the dashimaki tamago and shumai were disappointing. The dashimaki tamago lacked flavor and umami, and the shumai took too long to be served and had a strange combination of ingredients that didn't work well together. It's a bit of a shame, especially after experiencing the excellent seasonal dishes in winter. Hopefully, the next visit will have some delicious surprises in store.

Visited "Seasonal Cuisine and Local Sake Yu" for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. Opted for a la carte this time, but looking forward to trying their course menu next time. Had a sashimi platter, seasonal asparagus tempura, grilled salmon belly, shirako with ponzu sauce, corn tempura, and smoked cheese. Forgot to take photos, but the fact that we had all that and stayed under 5000 yen per person (excluding tax) is amazing. Definitely a place I want to visit again! Thank you for the delicious meal.

The atmosphere and service were very good. However, the food was not impressive. The dishes did not come out in the order listed on the menu. It might be better to order a la carte focusing on sashimi rather than getting a course meal. The best dish was the Shiraoi beef steak with mountain wasabi. Overall, the dishes were on the bland side.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The food is average. The taste is a bit bland, so young people may not be satisfied. The course takes 2 and a half hours, so it's better to have a snack before going if you're hungry. The cost performance is average. The staff's service is also average.

I visited a seasonal cuisine and local sake restaurant in April with my family, including my elementary school-aged child. I decided to try making a same-day reservation, and luckily they accepted it. The restaurant was soon fully booked after we arrived, so we barely made it in. The sashimi platter with 11 kinds of fish (12 if you count different parts) was still priced at a surprising 1,100 yen per serving (including tax), and it was delicious as always. In the chilly April night in Sapporo, the hot pot with Sendai-produced seriyaki and duck was also excellent. It's a must-visit izakaya in Sapporo, worth a visit even for tourists. This shop is located along a large street in Hiragishi. The interior is not very big, with a counter seating 6 and a few small tables that can accommodate about 5 groups. The place is clean and well-maintained, and it's interesting to watch the cooking process at the counter. We were served shrimp miso chawanmushi as a complimentary appetizer, followed by a sashimi platter with various types of fish. We also had duck hot pot, grilled liver skewers, and a side dish of vegetables with karasumi. The tempura of wild vegetables was delicious, and we enjoyed a couple of Hakushu highballs. The presentation, seasoning, and atmosphere were all great. The staff were friendly and attentive, and it was a pleasure to enjoy seasonal dishes made with fresh ingredients. I wanted to try fugu as well, but I was too full. Maybe I ate too much, but the bill came out to around 7000 yen. It was a bit pricey, but the delicious food made it worth it.笑

The atmosphere was great, with private rooms ensuring zero infection risk and allowing us to enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The food was delicious as well. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be nice if they offered to pack up the leftover tai meshi for us to take home. It would be a nice gesture considering the price we paid. The only downside was feeling rushed during the payment process, which left a bit of a sour taste in the end.

Located a short distance from Higashi Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line, this place offers fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients throughout the year. They excel in preparing high-quality ingredients, but there is also a comforting, home-cooked feel to their dishes. I always order their incredibly fresh sashimi made from a selection of top-quality fish flown in from all over Japan. The texture is perfect and the presentation is luxurious yet affordable, especially with the daily sashimi platter (¥1000 per person) that goes perfectly with a glass of Sapporo Perfect Black Label. It's great to be able to enjoy seasonal fish from all over Japan while in Sapporo. If you can snag a seat at the counter, I highly recommend trying their tempura made with high-quality sesame oil. Watching it being fried right in front of you is a delight. Every dish they serve brings a sense of excitement and liveliness. Reservations are a must on weekends and holidays. We visited a restaurant during a family trip that was not aimed at tourists, but looked delicious so we made a reservation in advance. The adults enjoyed a nice course meal, while the children ordered their favorite dishes a la carte. Everything we tried was wonderful. Our family is sensitive to artificial seasonings, but unlike the high-end sushi restaurant we visited in Otaru the day before, we were able to enjoy our meal without any unpleasant experiences. The bill was reasonable and we left satisfied. We would love to visit again when we return to Sapporo.

Second visit. The place seems to attract adults, but there are also many families in the area. It's cheaper and offers generous portions compared to eating in the city center. Today, I visited a nearby restaurant that I had been curious about. When I arrived at 6:00 PM, it was already full, and by 7:00 PM, more customers had arrived. It seems to be a popular spot among locals. The color of the bluefin tuna was vibrant and delicious, and you could tell just by looking at it. The quality and quantity for 850 yen is quite cheap. They also have a good selection of sake, with Toyobijin being a recommended choice. I will definitely visit again to enjoy delicious seasonal ingredients.

The restaurant uses Kishu Binchotan charcoal, which enhances the flavor of the grilled skewers cooked at high temperatures, making them popular among a wide range of customers. Although the menu is limited, the careful work from sourcing the meat to grilling on the skewers is evident. The use of real Binchotan charcoal truly elevates the deliciousness. I used to think that rare liver was the best, but even when cooked through, it is still delicious thanks to the far-infrared effect. I always end up ordering more than I planned. On the day of the Ox in midsummer, the "Kurikara skewer" is recommended. It pairs well with the dishes here, especially with a highball. I wish the whiskey they serve would be available nationwide. The kettle-cooked rice I requested for the finale was not available due to the overwhelming demand, but the alternative dish they made was excellent. The seasonal firefly squid's flavor seeps into each grain of rice, with the aroma of bamboo shoots adding to the experience. The chewy texture of the Hokkaido sea urchin battleship with azuki greens and homemade karasumi is superb. The water eggplant, full of moisture and fruity flavor, is served in a Japanese-style taste. The fresh raw whitebait with ponzu and grated red turnip is delicious. The cherry trout and firm-textured kinmedai are fresh and delightful. The amount of cheese on the smoked herring is pleasing, and it pairs well with the iburigakko. The cream cheese on top doesn't overpower the iburigakko, showing its strong flavor. If there is a seat available at the counter, I often visit on a whim. I enjoy the beer and highball served in thin glasses without worrying about what to eat. Sometimes, just the chawanmushi and recommended dish that come as appetizers are enough for me. When I'm just relaxing, the owner carefully selects the best part of the sashimi for me. It's nice to feel the season through the sashimi. Hmm... there's a wonderful aroma and smoke coming from the grill. The meticulous owner has finally done it... switched from electric to direct fire. The Shiretoko chicken liver grilled with Kishu Binchotan charcoal is excellent. The direct fire and intense heat really make a difference. It's delicious. Today I had a reunion with my high school classmates after a year, and we had a drink together like old men. We went to a bar in Hiragishi, away from Susukino. My friend made the reservation for tonight. When we arrived at the restaurant, we found out that the banquet course includes all-you-can-drink for 8000 yen, with appetizers, sashimi, soup, simmered dish, wagyu beef dish, seasonal dish, 2 chef's choice dishes, rice cooked in a pot, and dessert. I have been to Yuya Sushi & Japanese Cuisine for lunch before, but it was my first time at this izakaya. I was looking forward to seeing what dishes would be served. Everything that was brought to us was delicious. However, I couldn't focus on the details of the dishes since my friend was talking non-stop from the beginning. I didn't worry about the small things, just enjoyed the meal. It was a fun dining experience.

At the counter handmade by the shop owner, we toasted with a glass of sake. While enjoying the exquisite dishes in a private room, I couldn't help but admire the chef's skills up close. When I asked if this was a sushi restaurant, the owner smirked and replied, "It's actually an izakaya." Not a high-end kaiseki restaurant, but the deliciousness that pleases the common people. The special Japanese full course meal for ¥5000 + tax included steamed egg custard with blue cheese, fresh flounder from Nagasaki, grilled mackerel from Fukui, seared amberjack, grilled tilefish, seared barracuda, seared beltfish, steamed clams with watercress, small skin rolls, boiled white shrimp with ponzu sauce, lotus root cake, conger eel sushi, white shrimp tempura, marinated tuna sushi, sea bream rice with lily bulb, clam soup, and a bear-shaped monaka dessert with roasted green tea ice cream. The attentive staff's preparation, drink service, and plate clearing, along with the cozy atmosphere, made the dining experience delightful. The food was delicious. Thank you for the feast.
