Main street, Susukino, Nishi 11-chome area. Selected for Yakiniku Hyakumeiten 2022 for the first time. ◇18:00-22:00 Last order◇Closed on Sundays, and other days◇Reservations for 2 or more people only◇No smoking inside, credit card payment available
"Sukima" was popular for its super affordable lunch, and even though lunch service has ended for a while, the dinner prices are surprisingly reasonable. Talking about this place here will be more than what can be covered during lunch. Highly recommended for those who have not visited yet or only visited for lunch. Today, we were able to make a same-day reservation, and a customer from Tokyo was also highly praising it (*^▽^*)
The restaurant has a small and clean interior with only one table seat and a counter seat, but it leaves a good impression. It's charcoal-grilled, but the ventilation is also very good. Highly recommended for a yakiniku date ♡
Orders:
◆ Thick-cut Upper Tongue (1,210 yen) - Hokkaido beef upper tongue with a texture that is a mix between the crispy texture of American beef and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of top-grade Japanese beef. It's delicious when eaten slightly grilled on one side and melty. Also delicious when grilled on both sides and eaten crispy like Sendai beef tongue. The salted lemon is excellent! Highly recommended.
◆ Beef Liver (880 yen) - Thick-cut liver that can be eaten raw. It's tender, without any unpleasant smell, and the sesame oil sauce is excellent! It's also delicious when lightly seared on one side and eaten with wasabi. The freshness is essential for it to be this delicious. Highly recommended.
◆ Biei Wagyu Rib Cap (1,650 yen) - A rare cut at this price! The portion is also about 1.4-1.5 times larger than normal. It has a clean marbling, thick-cut, and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. It's rich in flavor. Highly recommended.
◆ Chateaubriand (3,520 yen) - This dish is cooked and served. Look at the price and compare it with the photo. An unbelievable price! It's matured beef, and although I didn't feel the aging aroma, the increase in amino acids and peptides due to aging is evident in the enhanced flavor. The price is so low for such a delicious Chateaubriand, I was impressed by the owner's determination to offer it at this price. I want to try the ultimate Chateaubriand at this restaurant, even if the price is tripled.
◆ Red Soup (990 yen) - Amazing! A complex and spicy Thai-Vietnamese-style soup. It doesn't have the sourness of Tom Yum Kung, but it combines fish sauce, ginger, bonito dashi, and a fusion of Asian, ethnic, and Japanese flavors that you've never had before. It contains glass noodles instead of pho, and the rich flavor of animal-based broth from the beef is evident, with a Korean-style seasoning without artificial flavor enhancers, making it rich but not too thirsty. This is also a must-try dish, but it's too much for one person. Highly recommended.
◆ Highball (430 yen) - Just the right amount of richness. The carbonation is normal. The price is unbeatable for this class of restaurant! No cover charge!
◆ Oolong Tea (280 yen) - Cheap!
◆ Vinicola Lesta Salice Salentino Rosso (650 yen) - I might be criticized for praising a wine in this price range, but this full-bodied red wine is suitable for my taste. You can clearly feel the strong tannins extracted from the high-quality terroir where it was grown. I haven't opened a bottle at home in recent years, but I felt it was even more delicious this time. Maybe it's because of the fantastic pairing with the exquisite lean meat. Highly recommended for those who want to pair a full-bodied wine with lean meat.
[Overall Evaluation]
Aging beef is indeed delicious, but this time, the non-aged beef takes the lead. Next time, I want to compare it with a different cut. The basic specifications are high. The three types of sauces are surprisingly delicious! I'm giving 200% of my usual energy in my comments, so I hope you can feel the enthusiasm ===========
