Long time no see! I only have delicious memories of both the rice and side dishes. It's an area that I don't usually visit, but for some reason, I remembered it and decided to go. The daily bento for 500 yen was just as good as before, even though there weren't many people this time. The price is still the same, but I think it's a good deal for what you get. The rice is delicious even when it's cold, and the side dishes are subtly flavored but well-balanced and tasty. As expected, Hachi-san's bento was delicious. Next time, I'll try the daily set meal inside the restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

The clean counter restaurant's ginger pork was a bit salty. Besides the main dish, there were three small side dishes - bean sprouts and spinach namul, tarako konnyaku, half a boiled eggplant & miso soup, all of which were excellent. You can use the designated parking lot in front of the shop or the Sanbantkan parking lot. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about this place for a while. The atmosphere inside was bright and there were only a few seats at the counter. Even though it was counter seating only, the seats were spacious and there was a TV, so it seemed like a place where you could relax whether you were alone or with a group. The customers seemed like regulars, but the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The menu had a variety of dishes that seemed perfect for pairing with drinks. The dishes we ordered all exceeded our expectations. The beer was good, but what pleased us the most was the wide selection of sake. In conclusion, it's a beautiful and stylish restaurant where you can spend your time however you like.

Tonight, when I was thinking about where to go, I decided to go eat tuna! If it's delicious tuna, let's go to Hachi! When I entered, only two seats at the back were available! Lucky☆ The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very lively and fun. First, let's have a beer! When I looked at the menu, it seemed different from before. Oh, there it is! Tuna...phew, I was worried it was gone. I ordered tuna salad, tuna pizza, and tuna with seaweed. The first dish that arrived was the tuna salad. This was the winner! The dressing with sesame and wasabi was incredibly delicious! It felt like an adult salad. It ranked number one in my salad rankings! I could just drink beer while eating this! And then, the arrival of the tuna (´∇`) The beautiful red color of this tuna is wonderful. Why is the tuna here so delicious? The tuna with seaweed was also arranged in a red and white pattern, which was kind of funny. The tuna pizza was small, but this size is just right! If it's too big, it would be too filling. The plates and serving dishes were very stylish and visually appealing. It had plenty of cheese and vegetables (´∇`) The dough was also pleasantly soft. Before I knew it, how many beers did I drink... Thank you for the meal (´∇`) On a side note, when I ate the tuna pizza, at first I ate it without Tabasco, thinking it was slightly spicy, and wondering what it was. Then my companion put Tabasco on it first w.

Hmm...? Lunch is back again? Wasn't this tried before...? Just the curtain? And then it became just bento? I don't remember the rumors well, but since I saw the sign, should I go in and try it out (* ॑꒳ ॑* )♪゛ This is my first visit! The store looks nice, so if I can see the atmosphere during lunch, I might be able to go for dinner too, right? lol
【Daily side dish set meal】♬ 880 yen
Side dish → Does it mean side dishes...?♪*゚ The name sounds lovely, right?✩.*˚
The main dish changes daily, and they serve a variety of side dishes on the counter♬ It's mainly Japanese cuisine, and it looks very elegant(,,>᎑<,,)♡ The two sisters are very friendly, working in perfect harmony♬ They serve the dishes with elegant chopstick skills(* ॑꒳ ॑* ) Exciting
They start making the main dish after ordering♬ Today's dish is "Pork Ginger Stir-Fry"(*¯ ꒳¯*) I love it♡
"Do you have any side dishes you don't like?"
"No, I'm good♪" You can have extra rice♬
Let's dig in⸜(*ˊᵕˋ*)⸝
The side dishes are all delicious and seasoned to my liking♬ The way they boil the vegetables for the side dish is just right♡ The simmered dish has a homey yet elegant flavor that brings out the ingredients♬ And above all, the rice is delicious(ˊ•͈ ꇴ •͈ˋ)♪゛ This is... a rare find, isn't it?
I also bought a bento box♬ Is it a "real deal" that still tastes good when cold? It was indeed a "real deal"♬ It's so delicious(^_-)♪゛ The beef curry made with Wagyu beef is amazing♬ Looking forward to next time〜(*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

It seems really good! There are no fried foods in it, and even if there were, Hachi-san seems like someone who knows how to make them delicious even when they're cold. I remember the days when we used to make bento boxes together, and Hachi-san always cared about making them delicious. The daily bento box from Hachi-san prioritizes taste over appearance, and every dish is delicious, even when cold. Hachi-san's bento box is a lifesaver when you need one.

There is a quiet counter-only shop on 15th Avenue. The interior is very clean and stylish. The tuna was delicious! There are also many other creative menu items. Ordering sake is a good idea, as they serve it in nice cups. It would be great if there were more of these kinds of shops within walking distance. I must go back again! Taking a taxi would be a good idea haha.

Ginza shopping street is an area that used to be lively in the past. There are a few restaurants there, but many places have a retro feel that can be intimidating to enter. Among them, this place is new and clean, with high satisfaction. It's a small shop with only a counter, but on this day, regular customers and their families were there, enjoying themselves, including the kids. Today, there were fewer types of sake that I like, but they serve a generous amount, so I am very satisfied. The food is also delicious. The cabbage with salted kelp is simple but has a nice aroma from the sesame oil. The dried fish and kelp dish is perfect for snacking while drinking. The fried oysters are crispy and the homemade tartar sauce is plentiful and tasty. The salad on the side even has a good dressing. It's common to have to dip food in sauce or dressing, but not here. Another delicious meal, thank you. I will definitely visit again.

The main dish was excellent, along with the finely shredded cabbage salad. The side dishes included pickled daikon radish, simmered vegetables in miso sauce, boiled spinach and hijiki seaweed, as well as miso soup with fried tofu, silk tofu, young bamboo shoots, and enoki mushrooms - all were delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Asahikawa city's 15-chome street lined with red torii gates is interesting, with a mix of Showa-era streets and buildings that seem like they were already run-down 30 years ago but are still hanging on. What will this place be like in 10 years? Amidst this, I heard from my usual source that there is a popular bar in Sapporo's Sosei River East area with an interesting concept. Intrigued, I decided to check it out, but even a seasoned New Shimbashi guy like me hesitated and ended up entering this place. The interior had a sleek, white counter that was stylish and luxurious. The clientele consisted of couples of all ages, and then there's me, a lone guy. I ordered a beer, which was served in a fancy tumbler, not a mug, and it tasted delicious. While nibbling on pickled udo, I struggled to find something on the menu that caught my eye. Eventually, I settled on the dried fish. The prices were a bit high, but as a solo drinker, I didn't mind. The dried fish was well-cooked, with both cartilage and meat parts offering a strong umami flavor that paired well with the alcohol. I enjoyed it. I decided not to order another drink and asked for the bill, feeling slightly surprised at the slightly over 3000 yen total. I thought about having another drink, but decided to head home. This place is perfect for a date, with its beautiful and stylish bar-like atmosphere and delicious izakaya menu. The taste was good, but whether the concept and ambiance suit you is a matter of personal preference. Well, thanks for the meal!

I've always tended to go to Sanroku when I drink, even though I've been a little curious about trying something new. Today, I decided to be adventurous! Without even looking at the menu, I asked, "What kind of sake do you have?" The waiter kindly showed me the menu. I chose the "Sawayamatsumoto Namazake Usunigori," but they apologized as they were out of it. I ended up trying the "Urakasumi Junmai Namazake" for 600 yen (excluding tax). They poured it generously into a tin sake cup and even poured a little extra when I tried to return the bottle. Lucky me! The taste was refreshing and not too sweet.
For food, I had the "Assorted Appetizers" for 380 yen, which was a refreshing and delicious dish that paired well with the sake. I also tried the "Boiled Pork with Seaweed and Ponzu Sauce" for 480 yen, which was a perfect dish for a hot day. While enjoying some snacks and drinks, I found out that the restaurant also offers lunch options for takeout, although they no longer serve lunch in the restaurant itself.
The menu mainly features local sake, but I asked if they had any sake from outside the region, and they brought out a sake not listed on the menu. I tried the "Yamagata Masamune Junmai Ginjo Namazake" for 600 yen, which had a fruity and fresh taste. I also tried the "Hirodogawa Junmai Ginjo Muroka Nama Genshu" for 600 yen, which was sweet and to my liking. I ended up having three servings of sake, but the total bill was still reasonable at less than 3000 yen. I look forward to coming back to enjoy the food and drinks at this restaurant at a more leisurely pace next time.

Yesterday, I saw a review from my follower, satochina1123, and had a gut feeling that it would be a place I would like. It was a little before 5 pm, and I had plans to meet friends for drinks at 7 pm. It was a Saturday, and I knew I wouldn't be able to visit on a weekday, so I quickly got ready and headed to the bus stop. In a shopping street known as "15th Avenue," there was a stylish restaurant with a shining white sign. You could see inside through the windows, and the interior had a chic atmosphere. A sophisticated and beautiful woman, along with a handsome man with a beard, welcomed me at the entrance. They seemed like a mother and son duo. The restaurant only had 10 seats at the counter. The counter was beautifully set with plates, coasters, and chopstick holders. Even the chopstick bags were well-designed. Rap music played in the background. The menu cover was also well done. The menu offered a mix of classic izakaya dishes and Western-inspired dishes. I started with a draft Asahi beer for 480 yen and an appetizer for 380 yen. The appetizer included fried fishcakes, konnyaku, and simmered vegetables with just the right amount of flavor. I ordered: 1) Fresh tuna sashimi for 880 yen - It was fresh and nicely presented. 2) Shrimp and avocado salad for 580 yen - A generous portion with a great combination of shrimp and avocado. It was delicious. 3) Oyster ajillo with mini bread for 780 yen - A high-quality dish that didn't feel like a typical izakaya ajillo. The oysters were quite large, and the bread was not mini but came in three slices of baguette. I switched to drinking sweet potato shochu on the rocks halfway through, and the serving was generous. I chatted with the master over the counter, who mentioned he used to run a cafe bar in Sumiyoshi. The restaurant had opened on November 27th and also served lunch with only curry on the menu. They also offered bento boxes and appetizers for pre-orders up to two days in advance. The bento service was called "Hachiben." When I arrived at 5:45 pm, I was the only customer, but more guests arrived later. By 6:45 pm, the restaurant was full. I would like to try their lunch menu and revisit for dinner as well!

Visited Asahikawa for the first time in December 2017. Strolled through the nostalgic zone of Ginza Street shopping district, which exudes a strong Showa era atmosphere. Unlike Sapporo, there are many quaint "izakayas" in this town, along with the landmark local department store "Sanbankan," which mainly sells clothing. A stylish new shop has opened here, run by a mother, son, and daughter-in-law. They also operate a bento shop called "Hachi." Despite its small size with only 10 counter seats, the shop has a chic design. Ordered a warm local sake called "Kokushimuso" served with a tin cup and water on the side. Thoughtful touch. The "otōshi" (appetizer) for 380 yen was neatly displayed on the menu, featuring a delicious simmered dish that would make a great bento side dish. The "sashimi platter" for 1,280 yen included red tuna, amberjack, and flounder, all rich in flavor. As a bonus, they also served gizzard shad. The son, a taciturn and handsome young man with an Exile-like vibe, provided excellent service. The "scallop with butter and soy sauce" for 680 yen had a sweet and salty taste, perfect with sake. The "salted cod roe" for 480 yen seemed like a store-bought item. The "roasted ginkgo nuts" for 580 yen were refreshing with salt and sake, although they were hot and difficult to peel. Enjoyed leisurely sipping on "Kokushimuso" Asahikawa's local sake in a tin cup at the counter. The service was just right, and they also serve curry for lunch. They offer bento boxes called "hachiben" and take orders for bento boxes and party platters up to two days in advance. It was a pleasure to discover this excellent restaurant, and I hope they continue to thrive as a standout establishment in the Ginza Street shopping district.

It's an izakaya, but they also offer "Hachiben" bento boxes. We had a special meeting at work and ordered Hachiben's special makunouchi bento. There were plenty of side dishes and we were very satisfied. The salmon, in particular, was amazing with its rich flavor. I think it's probably silver salmon. I would definitely order this bento again!
