On the first day of my trip to Hokkaido, I had dinner in Sapporo, and of course, I had to try Genghis Khan (grilled lamb). So, I headed to Susukino, a district known for its many dining options. I first tried to go to the famous Daruma main store, but even though it was late on a Sunday, there was a long line outside. I then went to a nearby Daruma 5.5 store, but it also had a long line. So, I checked the map and decided to walk a bit south to Daruma 6.4 store. It was just a short walk of two blocks. Luckily, there was no line when I arrived, and I was able to get in without much wait. I ordered two servings of Genghis Khan. The Genghis Khan was cooked on charcoal, giving it a delicious smoky flavor. I also had some drinks, which were reasonably priced at 330 yen. I personally enjoyed the lamb meat a lot. I decided to order more, and since the tenderloin was sold out, I tried the upper meat. It was a large piece of meat and very satisfying to eat. There was more food than I expected, and I was able to enjoy plenty of lamb meat. I would definitely want to go back to Sapporo to eat there again. Next time, I want to try eating until I can't move.

Ginginjinkiskan is delicious! It was amazing with lots of garlic and spicy sauce, eating garlic with onions was great. The smoke from grilling added to the experience. The apple chu-hai drink was also delicious. This place is open late, so if you want to eat Ginginjiskan late at night, this is the place to go. If you're traveling and missed trying Ginginjiskan, give this place a try. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Daruma 6.4" on this day. The restaurant is located in Nishi 4-chome, Minami 6-jo, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, which is where the name "6.4" comes from. I started drinking at 3:30 in the late night on a weekday, and this was my sixth stop of the day. It was already past midnight, so I don't remember much, but as a blogger, I have photos to remind me. The interior of the restaurant looks spacious compared to the main branch, and I ordered the popular harami and added some upper ribs. I also ordered a large glass of Sapporo Classic beer. I don't remember the taste, but based on my experience at the main branch, I gave a rating. The restaurant is open until 5 am, so you can avoid the long lines and it's a great place for a late-night drink. I recommend Daruma's branch for a satisfying end to a night of drinking. I visited around 8:30 pm on Saturday night. Luckily, there was no line outside. The inside was full, so we were asked to wait outside. After a while, some groups came out from inside, but no one told us anything, so we asked if we could go inside ourselves and were allowed to. It seems they don't come out to call people waiting outside even when there are seats available inside. The turnover was quite fast, and we were able to be seated within 30 minutes of waiting outside. We ordered three types of meat (Genghis Khan, prime meat, fillet) and kimchi. Since we ordered alcohol, we also got some pickled vegetables. Just grilling lamb meat and vegetables, but it was incredibly delicious. Grilling onions with lamb fat was the best. The prime meat had the strongest lamb flavor (in a good way), so we ended up ordering more Genghis Khan and fillet meat! We had 3-4 drinks each, and the total bill was around 13,000 yen. There were quite a few foreign tourists (maybe from Korea), but they had good manners, and the turnover was fast. This is a restaurant I highly recommend visiting when you go to Sapporo!

During the Obon holiday! Saturday night! 10 PM! The main store is about to close, with a long line at the nearby 5.5 store and the new 7.4 store dimming its lights outside. I decided to try the 6.4 store, with 8 people inside and 4 outside. The wait time was about 15 minutes, both inside and outside. I ordered Genghis Khan with top-quality meat, rice, and Pepsi. The first serving of vegetables was automatically included. It's been 37 years since I last had raw Genghis Khan. I was hesitant due to the strong taste of mutton, but this place surprised me with its delicious and no gamey taste. I highly recommend it! Genghis Khan at Daruma is still as delicious as ever, with no gamey taste and just pure umami flavor. The vegetables, including onions and green onions, were also delicious. I recommend it! Genghis Khan at Daruma is delicious, and that's what matters the most! Looking forward to 2023!

Arrived in Susukino at 23:00 before a business trip. Thinking about what to eat. Although it seems like there won't be time to have Genghis Khan as planned, I still want to have it. So, decided to go to Daruma by myself. Started with one plate of Genghis Khan and a beer! Cooked the vegetables first while enjoying the beer, waiting for them to be just right. Then grilled and ate! Delicious!! Genghis Khan in Hokkaido is really tasty. Got some condiments halfway through for a change in flavor. Also delicious! Even though it was late at night, had two plates of Genghis Khan, beer, and lemon sour. Finished it all and went back to the hotel feeling very satisfied. Thank you, Daruma! It can get chaotic during busy times, but it was great to be able to get in quickly when going late at night alone. From now on, having Daruma for the finishing touch sounds good. Dinner on July 20, 2023 (Thursday) with my partner. We were on a trip to Hokkaido (1st day), heading to Sapporo. Our ANA077 flight was delayed, departing from Haneda at 7:51 PM and landing in Chitose at 9:07 PM. We arrived at Smile Hotel Premium Sapporo Susukino at 10:48 PM. We went to Daruma, but it was already closed. The 5-5 shop had a long line, so we went to the 6-4 shop where we were seated quickly. We ordered thick loin and shoulder loin (1680 yen) and Genghis Khan (1280 yen). The meat was juicy and flavorful, especially the loin. Genghis Khan was okay, but after trying the loin, we wished we had just ordered more of it. The atmosphere at Daruma used to feel more special, but it seemed to have lost some of its charm. The background music was Showa era songs. The total bill was 5690 yen. It had been almost two years since my last visit to Hokkaido in September 2021, mainly due to the impact of the pandemic.

I was rejected by the seafood restaurant I was aiming for, so I wandered around Susukino. While other restaurants in the same group had long lines outside, this one had no line. I thought I could get in right away, so I went inside. Ended up waiting for about 20 minutes before being seated. I ordered Genghis Khan, kimchi, and draft beer. They brought out the paid vegetables and complimentary pickles right away. The Genghis Khan arrived before the draft beer, haha. I quickly finished half of the draft beer and decided to start grilling the meat. The slices were so big that I couldn't bite through them, haha. I just went for it since I was really hungry and didn't have time to eat later that night. Later, I noticed there were scissors available! I wish they had told me, haha. The meat had a slight gamey taste, probably because it was mutton. I prefer raw lamb after all. I added some spiciness and garlic to the sauce, which helped reduce the gamey taste. The vegetables, mainly onions and green onions, took a while to cook, so even after finishing the Genghis Khan, they weren't ready to eat yet. I ended up ordering more fillet and corn highball. The alcohol came quickly, but the fillet took a while to arrive after I checked with the staff, turns out they forgot my order, haha. After it finally arrived, I used the scissors to cut it in half and grilled the raw part thoroughly, making it easier to chew. When I combined the soft vegetables, meat, and kimchi, it tasted delicious. Finally, I was able to eat to my satisfaction. I ordered another drink, finished everything, and asked for the bill. Oh... it's going to be around 5000 yen, haha. While I was full, the cost performance wasn't that great, and I confirmed that mutton isn't my favorite. Thanks for the meal.

When in Sapporo, one of the things I wanted to eat was Genghis Khan (grilled lamb). I decided to visit this restaurant after cheating on other places recently. I chose this place instead of the main shop because it has a good capacity, serves Sapporo Classic beer, and is a bit far from Susukino Station, so I thought it might be less crowded. I arrived around 15 minutes before the Sunday opening time of 5 pm. There were about 15-16 people in line. The capacity seemed fine. Even 5 minutes before opening, the line didn't get too long. I sat in the middle as I was dining alone. Orders are taken in the order of entry, so I waited for a while. The two Korean women next to me were on a trip. Even if they couldn't speak Japanese at all, they could order by pointing to the menu with pictures, which was convenient. I ordered a large glass of draft beer (which you don't see often these days) and Genghis Khan (lamb). A small dish of pickles was served as a starter. I took a big sip of the beer. It was delicious. The pickles were refreshing, and I thought they would go well with the meat. While waiting for the meat to arrive, I grilled the onions and leeks on the Genghis Khan grill. Soon, the meat arrived. It was a decent amount. I poured oil on the grill and started grilling the meat. The grill was hot, so once the surface of the meat was slightly charred, it was ready to eat. I dipped it in the sauce and savored the taste. It was delicious. I alternated between eating the onions and the meat, and before I knew it, the meat was gone, so I ordered another plate. I still had beer left. The large glass was worth it. Two plates of meat and a large beer took about 30 minutes. I was about 80% full, but I left the restaurant. The price of 1,280 yen for one plate of meat is a bit high, but considering the high cost of living, it's understandable. Maybe I'll try cheating on other restaurants again.

I came to this restaurant because I heard it's open until late at night. I heard it's tastier than 5.5. The seats are a bit close to the next table, which is a little tight. I ordered the fillet and Genghis Khan. The fillet was very delicious! The vegetables were also fresh and sweet, very tasty.

Visited around 7:30 pm on a Sunday, with about 4 groups waiting outside. There was also a wait inside. Waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. Heard that the sirloin and premium cuts are limited in quantity and may run out, but they were still available at this time. My friend usually doesn't like lamb, but they enjoyed it here. Once we placed our order, the food came out quickly. We each had plenty of drinks, vegetables, 2 servings of lamb, sirloin, premium cuts, kimchi, seaweed, and a small bowl of rice, totaling around 7500 yen for 2 people.

Genghis Khan is often known for having a unique smell, but the meat here is really not smelly at all! We ordered vegetables for 170 yen (onions and leeks), Genghis Khan for 1280 yen, top meat for 1680 yen, and fillet for 1680 yen. The sauce and pickles were served first, then the vegetables were confirmed, followed by the meat. The Genghis Khan was delicious, with a fantastic sauce and amazing pickles. The meat was flavorful and the top meat was fatty but not overpowering. The fillet was tender and juicy. The staff were attentive and quick. After just 45 minutes, we were completely full. This was the most delicious Genghis Khan I've had in Hokkaido, and I've become a fan! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))

I was the third in line at Daruma 6.4 before it opened at around 16:30. The draft beer here is different from the main branch, but for some reason, Sapporo Classic tastes even better when you drink it in Hokkaido. The Genghis Khan at Daruma is always reliable. I enjoyed all types of meat, including Genghis Khan, top meat, and fillet.

Late at night, when you think of Genghis Khan (a type of grilled lamb dish), Daruma is the place to go. After visiting three different places, we ended the night by searching for Daruma. Despite the long lines at other places, we found this restaurant with the shortest line. This time, we ordered two regular plates and one premium plate. Usually, vegetables are included, but we were surprised to find out that onions were now sold separately for 170 yen. It's sad to see prices going up at a popular and profitable restaurant like this. It's disappointing that vegetables are now sold separately.

I had a gathering in Sapporo and went to a Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) restaurant alone. I had Genghis Khan for lunch, Ramen for dinner, and Genghis Khan again late at night. This Genghis Khan restaurant had chairs to wait inside, which was nice. I ordered lamb shoulder, lamb tenderloin, kimchi, and beer. The kimchi was delicious. The meat was also very tasty. I liked the atmosphere and the staff better than the Genghis Khan restaurant I went to for lunch. Next time I come to Sapporo, I think I'll come here again.

When it comes to Sapporo, you think of Genghis Khan! So, I headed to Dharma Honten but the line was too long so I gave up... I underestimated it, but Dharma has many branches so I regrouped and found a less crowded branch, Dharma 6.4. It was my first visit there. There were two groups ahead of me, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated at the counter. I ordered the fillet for 1680 yen, the premium meat for 1680 yen, and the Genghis Khan for 1280 yen. The fillet and premium meat were delicious, light and without any strong flavors. My friend recommended the fillet and I can see why, it was really good. The Genghis Khan was average, but eating it at the counter with that atmosphere made it taste even better. When it comes to Genghis Khan in Sapporo, this famous restaurant's name always comes up. There are several small shops and each one always has a long line until late at night. Last time I came to Sapporo, I gave up because of the long line, but this time I was able to get in relatively quickly to 6.4 restaurant. I sat at the cramped counter and ordered Genghis Khan for 1280 yen, premium meat for 1680 yen, and fillet for 1680 yen. I aimed for the fillet because a friend had recommended it to me. It seems like they can run out of fillet during late hours. The fillet and premium meat were indeed delicious. The regular Genghis Khan is okay compared to other Genghis Khan restaurants. The fillet or premium meat is definitely the way to go here. Also, it's convenient that they have lockers where you can store your clothes and bags.

Course (around 1700 yen). Wait time is about 5 minutes for 2 groups. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. The style is to grill the meat yourself. I ordered the fillet, which had very little smell. Perhaps because it was cooked well, it had a slightly tough texture. The sauce had a strong ponzu flavor, and didn't have much of a lamb taste. It went well with the vegetables and green onions. After trying it, I realized that I prefer beef over lamb.

"I was invited to a business trip in Sapporo with the suggestion, 'Let's go try some Genghis Khan!' When I arrived, there was a long line outside the restaurant. So, I decided to check out other nearby places and if there was a shorter line somewhere else, we would move there. After a report came back saying, 'Other places have similar lines!' we ended up waiting for about an hour in line at the 6.4 shop before finally getting a seat. I noticed that about half of the people coming to the restaurant were tourists and the other half were locals. The restaurant had only counter seats, with three people sitting side by side cooking on two stoves. After about two hours of dining, the Genghis Khan itself was delicious. Overall, the meal cost us a little over 20,000 yen for three people. It came out to about 7,000 yen per person. Is it normal for Genghis Khan dining to cost this much?"

I no longer feel any advantage. (Main branch though) I used to think it was cheap and delicious. I thought it was the best cost performance. It's good that it has become famous, but it's disappointing to think that this is considered the number one Genghis Khan dish, waiting in line to eat it as a tourist. Someone wrote that the prices have gone up considerably. I don't particularly feel any superiority compared to other restaurants.

Daruma has several branches including the main one, but the one at 6.4 is the most spacious and has a fast turnover, as the taxi driver mentioned, so we decided to line up here. We started lining up around 20:50 and there were about 5-6 groups ahead of us. We were able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. The Genghis Khan lamb dish was the best I've ever had, with no gamey taste and very delicious. It was clear that the meat was tender and of high quality. Even though the staff were busy, they efficiently cleared plates and took orders, so we didn't have to wait long to get our hands on the meat. Thank you for the meal!
