Tom Tom Kikiru, a famous soup curry restaurant in Kiyota, has a sign that says "Curry Lover's Restaurant." There is a commercial facility on the nearby Hitsuji-ga-Oka Street. The owner apparently has experience from the famous soup curry restaurant Samurai. It was a Sunday, but around 2 pm, there were only about 6 customers, 2 groups. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can fit about 5 cars. Inside the restaurant, there are 3 counter seats, 1 table for 4 people, 2 tables for 2 people, and 2 raised tatami seating areas. The classic chicken curry is priced at 1,430 yen. Lunch options are also over 1,000 yen, making it a luxurious high-end lunch. Popular restaurants like this may be less crowded when the prices are slightly higher. The vegetables included are carrots, baby corn, lotus root, broccoli, bell pepper, pumpkin, wood ear mushrooms, daikon radish sprouts. The chicken meat is tender and juicy, melting in your mouth, even the cartilage is soft. The amount of chicken rice is quite small, with a 100 yen option for a smaller portion. The regular portion is 200 grams, and a larger portion is 250 grams, both at no extra cost. The yellow turmeric rice is flavorful. The spiciness level ranges from mild to very spicy, with levels 2 to 3 being medium to spicy, and levels 4 to 5 being spicy to very spicy. Level 3 is indeed spicy, level 2 might have been better. The soup is delicious, similar to the famous soup curry at Anagura in Nishi Ward, with a rich blend of various spices. The vegetables are fresh and tasty, especially the sweet carrots and crunchy wood ear mushrooms. It truly lives up to its reputation as a popular restaurant, although I might visit more often if the prices were a bit lower.
