Today, unexpectedly, my close cousin agreed to spend the day with me and we rented a car for a drive in the morning. After exploring Ishiyama Green Park, we headed to a popular restaurant we had been wanting to try, but the wait was too long so we gave up. After being turned down by a few other options, we ended up at this place. I had completely forgotten about it, but I had wanted to visit once. - Date and Time of Visit: October 25, 2022 (Tuesday) / a little after 12:00 pm - Purpose: Lunch with my close cousin - Order: Chicken (1430 yen), Lassi (free with coupon) - Order to Service Time: a little over 10 minutes - Review of the Food: The presentation and the yellow color of the rice were very beautiful and made me excited even before eating. The soup was not too heavy, yet full of flavor and delicious! Often, light soups like this can lack flavor and feel watery, but this one was not like that. The vegetables were well-cooked and had a great texture. The chicken was tender and the overall balance of flavors was perfect in this delicious soup curry. It felt like a type of soup curry that I hadn't tried much elsewhere. - Recommended Point: Even those who are not fans of soup curry may enjoy this. I have tried many soup curries before, but I found a new favorite spot after a long time. Perhaps my tastes are changing with age, as I used to eat it the most during my university days. It may be difficult to revisit as it is far from my home in Sapporo, but if I am nearby, I would love to eat here again.

This is my second visit. The first time I thought it was just okay, but after exploring many soup curry restaurants in Sapporo and refining my palate, I decided to come back. I ordered the monthly curry, which had all the ingredients I liked. It was delicious, but the soup itself was on another level. It was incredibly tasty and paired perfectly with the rice. The ginger and lemon salt chutney added an irresistible flavor. I will definitely come back to eat here again.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. I visited because I had plans to be nearby. It was around 7pm, but there were a few customers inside. I was happy to see a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. I ordered the chicken soup curry with cheese on top. It was very delicious, with sweet and tasty vegetables. The soup had a rich flavor, and I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

I visited this restaurant because a friend from Honshu wanted to eat soup curry in Hokkaido. As I mentioned in a previous review, this place really gives off a good impression of putting a lot of effort into their soup curry. I also registered for their Line service, and I receive notifications quite frequently about new items, which are interesting and not just typical advertising messages. This time, I ordered the standard chicken soup curry with a spice level of 5, just like last time. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes and looked like a traditional soup curry. When I took the first sip, the heat was the first thing that struck me. However, the soup seemed a bit too straightforward, lacking richness and depth of flavor. It's hard to explain, but it felt too clean or neat, making it less memorable. Nevertheless, the ingredients were well-prepared, with tender chicken, large vegetables, the sweetness of carrots, and the crunchy texture of deep-fried broccoli. With so many vegetables, I felt relatively guilt-free even after eating a lot. The service was still friendly, so I left thinking I might try a different soup next time. Thank you for the meal.

Tom Tom Kikiru, a famous soup curry restaurant in Kiyota, has a sign that says "Curry Lover's Restaurant." There is a commercial facility on the nearby Hitsuji-ga-Oka Street. The owner apparently has experience from the famous soup curry restaurant Samurai. It was a Sunday, but around 2 pm, there were only about 6 customers, 2 groups. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can fit about 5 cars. Inside the restaurant, there are 3 counter seats, 1 table for 4 people, 2 tables for 2 people, and 2 raised tatami seating areas. The classic chicken curry is priced at 1,430 yen. Lunch options are also over 1,000 yen, making it a luxurious high-end lunch. Popular restaurants like this may be less crowded when the prices are slightly higher. The vegetables included are carrots, baby corn, lotus root, broccoli, bell pepper, pumpkin, wood ear mushrooms, daikon radish sprouts. The chicken meat is tender and juicy, melting in your mouth, even the cartilage is soft. The amount of chicken rice is quite small, with a 100 yen option for a smaller portion. The regular portion is 200 grams, and a larger portion is 250 grams, both at no extra cost. The yellow turmeric rice is flavorful. The spiciness level ranges from mild to very spicy, with levels 2 to 3 being medium to spicy, and levels 4 to 5 being spicy to very spicy. Level 3 is indeed spicy, level 2 might have been better. The soup is delicious, similar to the famous soup curry at Anagura in Nishi Ward, with a rich blend of various spices. The vegetables are fresh and tasty, especially the sweet carrots and crunchy wood ear mushrooms. It truly lives up to its reputation as a popular restaurant, although I might visit more often if the prices were a bit lower.

During lunch time, I had some errands to run and was looking for a restaurant nearby. I remembered Tom Tom Kikiil, a place I had been curious about for a while, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the recommended Spicy Stir-Fried Tofu with Chives with a spice level of 5 (extra spicy) and topped it with shredded seaweed. I chose 250g of rice. I was a bit worried about the spiciness, but it wasn't too overwhelming. The chives were crunchy, and the combination of stir-fried tofu and minced meat was delicious. The seaweed topping was also a nice touch. My companion ordered the Chicken with a spice level of 2 (medium) and added two pieces of burdock root as a topping. I tried one and it was tasty as well. We also received a stamp card that accumulates points, so I'm thinking of trying the Vegetable option with added broccoli as a topping on my next visit.

Chicken (1430 yen) Spiciness level 5, extra spicy Today, I decided to go with the basic chicken. The slightly thick soup is full of vegetable umami. The tender chicken has a mild seasoning, but as you eat, it blends perfectly with the soup and vegetables, becoming delicious. Among them, the texture of the wood ear mushrooms is amazing. This chicken was delicious, but the garlic chive minced chicken from last time is still outstanding. I wonder what to try next time. Maybe I'll go for coconut or try the burdock tempura and fried chicken. Thank you for the meal.

Nira Keema Tofu (1420 yen) and Punjabi Soup (170 yen) with a spiciness level of 5. Before the renovation, the restaurant had a strong emphasis on interior design and slightly higher pricing. Although I enjoyed the flavors, I struggled to fully embrace the strong dedication and passion of the concept, so I stayed away for a while. However, I recently decided to visit again. The restaurant's concept remains unchanged, but now it exudes a high presence with a clear display of its unique personality. The thick soup had a strong chili flavor. The surprise was the deliciousness of the ingredients and the balance of the cooking. The Nira Keema had a crispy texture, unlike the usual limp nira. The minced meat was not too fine, providing a satisfying meat-eating experience. The wood ear mushrooms were chewy and had a good bite. The broccoli was perfectly fried. The meticulous and delicate cooking process was evident in every bite. It was truly delicious. I will definitely come back to try the basic chicken soup. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant on the last day of my trip to Hokkaido! Inside the restaurant, there were signs saying they are closed on full moon days, which I found very interesting! I ordered the chicken curry with toppings like eggplant. The soup curry was rich and flavorful, with delicious chicken and vegetables!

I visited a restaurant where they offered a monthly menu with ingredients I usually dislike - strong tomato flavor, coconut, and seafood. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. The soup curry had a dominant coconut flavor, with hardly any tomato taste. I ordered level 7 spiciness, while my wife got level 5. The coconut sweetness was not overpowering with level 7 spiciness, but my wife could taste it more with level 5. The curry had a good clam broth base, like a coconut curry version of clam chowder. It was delicious.

I have been to this restaurant twice, but I have not written a review before. On my first visit, I had the Nira Tofu Keema. The soup was standard and I forgot the level of spiciness, but I was impressed by the deliciousness of the soup and vegetables. It's not a bold and unique soup curry, but it follows the traditional path of soup curry! I couldn't stop eating because of the subtle spiciness that made me sweat. On my second visit, I tried the limited-time Pork Keema and Watercress Soup Curry. The soup was originally garlic soup, with a spiciness level of 4, and I chose 150g of rice. There was plenty of sliced garlic, and it had quite a punch, so I think I prefer the standard soup. The spiciness level of 4 was just right. The juicy tomatoes, deep-fried zucchini, and crunchy watercress were all delicious. The side of ginger and lemon salt chutney was refreshing with a strong acidity even in small amounts. My companion enjoyed the chutney so much that they were eating rice with it alone. Even with 150g of rice, I was full, and the soup curry was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to those trying soup curry for the first time, as I think there are no disappointments with any dish you choose. Thank you for the meal!

Tom Tom Kiki L in Kiyota Ward. I visited around 6:30 pm on Saturday, and the restaurant was only about half full, so I was able to sit down easily. I was surprised that it wasn't very crowded, but there were a steady stream of takeout customers coming in one after another. I guess being in Kiyota Ward, it's a popular spot for takeout. Last time I tried the monthly curry, so this time I went for the top menu item, the Chicken. - Chicken + Fish Flight Topping Spice Level 1 Standard Soup ★★★★ Yep, it's delicious as expected. The soup itself has a very standard flavor but it's rich and you can taste the sweetness of the vegetables. The spice level "1" is just right for me, like last time. The chicken is tender and falls off the bone with just a spoon. For me, whether the chicken in soup curry can easily come off the bone is one of the checkpoints for a good restaurant, and this place passes with flying colors. It's juicy and tasty. The vegetables are also plentiful, and it's easy to see why this soup curry place is so popular. I might come back regularly to find my perfect combination. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, but I couldn't go because the parking lot was always full. After seeing it on the TV show "Dosanko Wide Oekaki Desuyo," I knew I had to go try it. The soup curry made by such an interesting person must be delicious, and it was just as I had thought. I had the Chicken and Nira Keema Tofu. I highly recommend the Nira Keema Tofu. You can choose your soup, and I chose the recommended one. It had plenty of vegetables, which made me happy. They also have a kids' menu. The Sunday-only Katsu Curry looks delicious too. I will definitely go back.

Wandering rookie curry mania / rookie ramen mania, a solo middle-aged man. This is a memo-like review by the old man. If you are looking for concise information about the restaurant and food, please move on to other reviews here. Some places require reservations. I visited a restaurant that I had been wanting to go to but couldn't due to various reasons. I headed to the neighboring ward (Kiyota Ward) after visiting my parents' house. Although I call myself a "rookie curry mania," I have been eating curry less frequently lately. I have visited restaurants in Kiyota Ward, Shiroishi Ward, and Atsubetsu Ward, but it is challenging to visit them due to my limited options. The soup curry restaurant I wanted to try in Kiyota Ward had two options. Although there were other options in Kiyota Ward, I decided to visit the one with higher ratings. Unfortunately, one of the restaurants was closed on that day, so I had to give up and visit another time. The location of this restaurant is in Kiyota 3-jo 2-chome. It is located in a residential area, so it may not catch your eye while driving by. If you turn right at the intersection where you can find Yoshinoya and AOKI, you will find the restaurant on the fourth corner on your right. The parking lot is located between the building and the road, with space for about five cars. There is a large curtain-like sign covering the entrance at the corner of the building. I arrived at the restaurant around 13:45 on a Wednesday. The restaurant has three counter seats in front of the kitchen, two 2-seater tables, one 4-seater table, and a raised seating area with two tables. There were two solo customers (male and female) and two groups of mothers with small children (about six people) as the first customers. The second customers were a middle-aged couple. After looking at the menu, I pondered for a while. Although it was not available that day, they also make "pork cutlet curry." Oh, they also have "stewed curry udon." It's interesting. They also have a kids' menu. Now, what should I order? I think I'll avoid the chicken leg. I ordered the pork with a spice level of 3 (spicy) and extra rice (250g). The dish came to a total of 1,690 yen (1,530 yen + 160 yen). The pork consisted of three thick slices of pork. Let's see how it tastes. The dish was served about 10 minutes after ordering. It's a classic style of soup curry with yellow turmeric rice. The broccoli was generously served. Oh, the pork is only one slice. It's about 1cm thick, but where are the other two slices? Oh, there they are. It's good that they are not covered with a thick layer of skin. When I took a spoonful of the soup, it was delicious. It has a stable and comforting taste with spices and umami. It's spicy for someone like me who prefers medium spiciness, but it doesn't make me sweat too much. It's delicious. The broccoli was fried just right, not burnt. The pork had a subtle soy sauce flavor, tender and easily falls apart. The three slices were quite voluminous. However, there was a slight meaty aroma that was a bit disappointing. It seems like they tried to balance the flavor with the soup, but it would be better if they could remove the slight smell. The other vegetables were also cooked to be easy to eat.

Entered the store on Saturday at 2:05 PM, the store was 90% full. Left the store at 2:27 PM. Ordered two servings of chicken (standard spiciness level 3, 100g of rice) for 1430 yen. The soup had delicious ingredients and was overall very tasty. It's hard to describe how delicious the soup was. I hope to enjoy another meal there someday. Thank you for the meal.

The pork was delicious!!!! This is a soup curry restaurant. I couldn't find the entrance at first, so I accidentally opened the door to the kitchen side...lol. This was my first time trying a soup curry restaurant other than Suage, so I was a bit nervous. I ordered the chicken curry with pork topping. The meat was tender and easy to eat even without teeth. The deep-fried broccoli, lotus root, and other ingredients each had their own distinct flavors and were very delicious. Thank you for reading until the end. I am updating my experiences honestly, mainly focusing on Miyagi Prefecture in Tohoku. I appreciate your follows, likes, saves, and comments. I am very happy to receive them. I want to create a community through gourmet experiences.

In the first half of this year, the NHK morning drama "Chimudondon" was set in Okinawa. As a fan of Okinawa soba, I am always drawn to the traditional Okinawan cuisine before it was influenced by America. Whenever Okinawa is featured on TV, I always find myself saying, "Ah, I want to eat that!" with excitement. So, when I received a postcard announcing that the monthly curry for October would be a soup curry using soki (Okinawan braised pork ribs), I knew I had to try it. I visited the restaurant with my wife and we ordered the soki soup curry, with me choosing level 7 spiciness and my wife choosing level 5. The soup was as delicious as always, with the vegetables cooked perfectly to complement their flavors. When I took a bite of the soki, I exclaimed, "Wow, this soki is delicious!" By the way, I don't usually like pork belly in my soup curry. I had it once at a place that focused on umami, but I found it too heavy and have avoided it since. However, the soki in the Okinawan cuisine paired perfectly with the spice-heavy soup, making it a delightful meal. We also tried the spiced clam dish using a coupon that came with the postcard, and it was also delicious. The clams were served chilled to preserve their flavors, and whether eaten on their own, on top of rice, or dipped in the soup, they were all tasty. This menu was created by a male staff member, and the clams were a great snack option with their delicious flavor.

I had no idea this restaurant even existed, but I saw its name mentioned on TV and decided to look it up. It turns out it's quite a popular place. So, I visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant is located a little off the main road from Yamagata-dori. It's a pretty pop-looking place. Inside, a friendly guy greeted us. The interior has a pop vibe, with attention to detail in every little item, like the cute bells on the tables. The menu had five main options: chicken, pork, leek and tofu mince, vegetable, and the monthly curry, which was pork and mushroom. I was tempted by the pork, but being a fan of Okinawa, I went for the monthly special. My companion ordered the pork. I had the October special, Soki and mushroom (standard soup, spiciness level 1), for 1,500 yen. The soup was pretty standard but had a nice richness to it. It started off light but had a subtle richness that came through. I think there might be some dairy element in there, like butter or soy milk. This made the soup very tasty. The spiciness level was just right for my taste, and my companion's level 2 was also a good match. The ingredients were generous, with plenty of Soki and mushrooms, along with carrots and baby corn. My companion's pork (coconut soup, spiciness level 2) was also delicious. The coconut soup here wasn't too heavy, which was a pleasant surprise. The rice was also tasty. Overall, we were very satisfied. The restaurant, the staff, and the ambiance were all top-notch. Their unique schedule of being closed on full moon days is quite clever. They must have a good business plan. I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain weekday, after being rejected by three consecutive restaurants for lunch, I found a reliable and delicious soup curry restaurant in Kiyota-ku. When I arrived, I was relieved to see that the place wasn't packed with customers. I quickly ordered the October limited edition "Soki and Mushroom Soup Curry (1500 yen)" with medium spiciness and regular rice (200g). I took a bite and it was delicious! The soup had a perfect balance of flavors, and the spiciness was just right, although I could have handled it a bit spicier. The ingredients included plenty of mushrooms, sweet and tender carrots, vibrant bell peppers, large baby corn, kaiware, fried broccoli, lotus root, quail eggs, and the highlight - the Soki pork which was incredibly tender with a perfect balance of sweetness. The mushrooms were locally sourced and included meaty and juicy shiitake mushrooms, flavorful maitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, large enoki mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms. The rice was a light yellow turmeric rice. Thanks to the quick service, I was able to make it to my next appointment on time. The friendly service from the owner also added to the overall experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I revisited the restaurant as I couldn't try their soup curry due to it being sold out last time. I was glad I went back because the soup curry was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Curry for 1,430 yen with the highest level of spiciness for free, which is extra hot. I chose the regular 200g rice, but you can get up to 250g for free. The soup curry had a strong spice flavor, with a familiar curry-like aroma at first. It would be enjoyed by children too. The spices, especially cardamom, cumin, and cloves, were prominent, satisfying the spice lovers. Mustard seeds and fennel were also used. The curry had a rich flavor, with the spices and broth balancing well. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The new sausage was chewy and went well with the soup curry. The extra hot level was spicy but still enjoyable. The rice was cooked perfectly, with large grains that were fluffy. Overall, it's a great restaurant with good hospitality. They have parking in front of the store and a second parking lot, which was convenient.
