The taste and service have evolved so much... No matter how busy or crowded it gets, every staff member is kind and smiling. There is a genuine sense of hospitality. And the soup, every time you eat it, the deliciousness increases... That's the impression of this restaurant. So, what about today? For the lunch menu (Soup Curry), there used to be only 3 types, but now there are 4 types with the addition of "Szechuan Pepper Curry". Today, I went for the usual standard, Chicken Leg Curry spiciness level 6 (with medium rice (200g) ordered. It was served quickly within 10 minutes. The soup is a slightly reddish brown color with a gentle sweetness of onions and vegetables enveloping the tongue from the first bite. The balance of salt is exquisite. A delicious soup curry is one where "salt enhances the sweetness of the ingredients and soup" I've come to think recently. The aroma of spices is fresh, with a hint of smokiness... Could this be it? The meticulously prepared chicken is tender and juicy without falling apart, with a firm texture. It's been simmered thoroughly and then seared to bring out the aroma. The slight smokiness in the soup, could this be it? The vegetables like carrots, eggplant, pumpkin, potatoes, young corn, cabbage, and okra are all delicious, each contributing its unique flavor to the soup curry. The rice is cooked slightly firm, bringing out the depth of flavor in the soup. It complements the soup without overpowering it. I've always thought this place served delicious curry, but today it tasted even better than before. The staff are always kind and smiling, no matter how busy it gets. This is not an easy feat. I might have to rewrite my "Top 10 Delicious Restaurants" list. Let's add it to the 10th spot for now. It was truly delicious! Thank you so much! (Next, I'll try the Szechuan Pepper Curry).

I've been curious about the ZOLA restaurant for a while. The atmosphere inside the shop is like a cafe, and there were even people just having tea. I tried their chicken leg soup curry with a spice level of 6, which was super spicy. The soup had a nice spice to it and was delicious, but the flavor was slightly lacking and the temperature was a bit low. The portion was also quite large when I added rice. The cost performance is good and the staff were friendly. It's understandable why this place is popular.

I arrived at the restaurant right when it opened. By around 11:45, it was already packed! I ordered the chicken leg with spice level 2. The soup was light and not oily at all, it was really like a broth. It had a gentle and mild flavor, very easy to drink! The chicken was not too soft, which was great for texture. It also had my favorite young corn in it. I want to try the spice level 3 next time!

Visited the 6th curry restaurant on a Hokkaido tour. Arrived around 13:45 on a weekday, with 2 customers already seated. Was led to a window table for 4 and looked over the menu. There were 4 types of soup curry, including the daily special, and 3 types of roux curry. After some thought, I chose the Charcoal-Grilled Pork Curry for 1,100 yen, with extra spicy level and 50g of rice. After a 9-minute wait, the Charcoal-Grilled Pork Curry and rice arrived. The aroma of the charcoal-grilled pork in the soup curry was appetizing. The soup was spicy with a hint of sweetness, likely from the delicious broth. The ingredients included okra, chili peppers, carrots, eggplant, pumpkin, baby corn, cabbage, half a boiled egg, potatoes, and tender charcoal-grilled pork. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. It's rare to find such delicious pork. I enjoyed alternating between the rice and soup, and finished the meal with satisfaction. I plan to try the Vegetable and Smoky Bacon Curry next time. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went to have a late lunch around 12:40. I was seated promptly at a spacious table as there was no wait. The restaurant was popular, with a steady stream of customers even at this time. I decided to order the charcoal-grilled pork curry with soup, spiced at level 4 based on a previous review. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the curry was delicious with a hint of tomato and a mix of vibrant spices. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I look forward to trying the restaurant's other dishes in the future.

Visited "ZORA" in Sapporo during a foodie trip. The restaurant is quietly tucked away just a short walk from Sapporo Odori. It has a cafe-like atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed. They have stylish magazines on display, making it a place where you can feel comfortable even if you're not there for the food. I had eaten too much Genghis Khan, so I could only manage to eat one bowl of soup curry, but I wish I had room for two more dishes. #Tabelog #SapporoTabelog #TabelogSurfer #SapporoGourmet #Gourmet #ZORA #Eeeeeats #FoodPhotography #FoodPorn #Foodgasm #Foodie #Delish Address: 1F Odori Parkside Building, 7-12-5 Minami 1 Jonishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan Instagram: tabelog_surfer

Final day of business trip in Sapporo. Waited in line before opening at the soup curry shop I wanted to go to, managed to get in on the first round but it took 40 minutes until it was served. That's a bit too much. Gave up and left the shop, walked a bit and found this place. Even though I was alone, they seated me at a table which was very kind. Ordered the charcoal-grilled pork belly curry and waited a bit. It came with large pieces of meat and colorful vegetables. The spiciness was just right and I finished it all in one go! I don't often have the chance to eat soup curry, but as expected, everything in Sapporo is delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Jerk chicken curry. I think it's in Nishi-nancho. Near Miyoshijinja Shrine. I've been here a long time ago. It's a smoky chicken curry. I had to wait a bit in the strong wind before going in. I forgot the visual, but when I tasted the chicken, I remembered. It tastes like this. I wonder if I can make this in Miyazaki. I'll try making it at home next time. Thank you for the meal.

Mission: Find a soup curry that can be eaten for 1000 yen. Discovered a shop between Odori Park and Nishi 8-chome bus stops that offers both roux curry and soup curry. During lunchtime from 11:30 to 14:00, roux curry is 850 yen, and soup curry is 1000 yen. Visited after 1 pm on a weekday. The shop has a large window, bright and stylish atmosphere, with 3-4 tables that are full. The counter seats are spaced out, so it took a bit of time to be seated. For the lunch menu, regardless of which curry you choose, the spiciness level and extra portion are the same price. The chicken leg soup curry with medium spiciness and extra 300 grams of rice was ordered. It took a while for it to arrive. The soup is a light type made with chicken broth and tomatoes, not too spicy, rather gentle with a hint of sweetness. Perhaps a spicier level would have been better to bring out the goodness of the soup. The lightly fried eggplant, pumpkin, and carrots were slightly firm. Other ingredients included baby corn, okra, and cabbage. The chicken had a nice firm texture with a slightly burnt skin. The simmered egg added a sweet touch as it melted into the soup. The combination of soft soup and firm ingredients was well-balanced. The roux curry at the neighboring table also looked good. The shop's official account mentioned that due to the sharp rise in prices of ingredients like pumpkin and charcoal, there might be a price increase soon. A tough time when prices go up despite no increase in salary.

The lunch of an office worker is limited, and on a weekday, I went to a place called ZORA to satisfy my craving for soup curry. It was my first time visiting this restaurant. It's within walking distance from my office, about a 7-minute walk. I arrived around 11:45 am and the place was almost full, with 4 groups of customers (8 people) already seated and 3 groups (5 people) waiting. There was 1 male staff and 2 female staff working. I ordered the Chicken Leg Curry for 1,000 yen, with medium spiciness and 100g of rice. During lunchtime on weekdays, it seems the price is fixed at 1,000 yen. The dish arrived after a 15-minute wait. Personally, I wished it had a bit more punch, but the light soup had a good flavor. The chicken, okra, carrot, baby corn, eggplant, potato, boiled egg, and pumpkin in the curry were all cut to the right size and tasted delicious. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you - I will come back again!

Today, I revisited this restaurant that I visited two days ago. I ordered the "Leg Soup Curry" that was sold out last time. I chose 100 grams of rice. The dish included small pieces of chicken leg, fried vegetables, and a slightly spicy soup. I was satisfied with just the soup. It's hard to replicate the taste at home, so eating it at the restaurant is the best option. The place was bustling again today, with mainly office ladies as customers.

Today, I had a late lunch at this place. There are many reviews saying that their soup curry is delicious. Although they were sold out of soup curry this time, I chose the grilled pork belly soup curry (sweet). *There are 5 levels of spiciness available. It's been a while since I had soup curry, and the deep-fried vegetables were delicious too. I found myself satisfied with just the soup. The rice was also tasty, but the soup curry warmed my body nicely.

Mam Kay's Jerk Chicken Curry for 1,100 yen with spicy medium rice (200g) and bacon for 180 yen, totaling 1,280 yen. This is delicious! The spiciness is just right, with a nice crunch from the vegetables and a hint of sweetness making it very easy to eat. The jerk chicken is well seasoned with a great charcoal flavor, incredibly tasty. I also tried a bite of the chicken leg, which was lightly sweet and delicious, but I prefer the jerk chicken. The bacon was thick, tender, and tasty. The adult treats like croquettes, creamy shrimp fry, and charcoal-braised pork topping all look incredibly delicious, so I will definitely come back. The staff here were very friendly.

I was finally able to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It's a cafe-like place and very clean. The atmosphere is well thought out, including the chairs. The lunch menu is straightforward at 1000 yen (for soup curry). There are no extra charges for spiciness levels, and you can get a large portion of rice (up to 300g) at no extra cost. This time, I ordered the seared pork curry with extra spiciness. By the way, I like this type of curry dish. There are fried onions on top of the rice. The soup is slightly sweet, and the spiciness is not too strong. The pumpkin and seared pork are delicious and fragrant. Personally, I was happy to see baby corn in the dish. The pork is seasoned like chashu and it's so tasty that I could eat it with just the rice. Next time, I want to try the pork cutlet curry.

Mama KAY's Jerk Chicken Curry Soup, extra spicy, with a topping of seared lamb. It's been a while since I visited my classmate's restaurant, and I was completely satisfied with the generous portions of delicious jerk chicken and seared lamb. Both the chicken and lamb were juicy and incredibly tasty. The iced coffee after the meal was also very refreshing.

■I went to ZORA in Sapporo for their soup curry. It's located along the railway tracks, about halfway between Odori Station and the Tozai Line. ■I ordered MamaKAY's Jerk Chicken Curry and the Adult's Gourmet Croquette as toppings. While I was expecting a curry with a big chicken leg, the Jerk Chicken was a unique twist and it did not disappoint. The spicy chicken was tender and the spices blended well with the soup, creating a complex flavor. The deep-fried carrots, bell peppers, and paprika added a colorful touch. The Adult's Gourmet Croquette, made with black pork and Gorgonzola, was delicious on its own and paired perfectly with the curry. The croquette, made with Inca Awakening, was soft and flavorful.

Overall, the dish is orthodox and well put together. The grilled chicken is also deliciously matched with a hint of Japanese flavor. The first bite and the last bite on the plate remind me of Japanese cuisine. Perhaps there is a hint of miso. The raw paprika and lemon are unnecessary. The restaurant is bright and surprisingly not crowded. The restroom walls are covered with close-to-the-interior plaster or wallpaper, so it should be fine.

There was no line at 1 pm on a weekday. The chicken was sold out so I ordered the pork belly in extra spicy. The soup was simple and classic, with a sweet and spicy flavor that would appeal to everyone. The extra spicy was sufficiently hot. It had plenty of vegetables and was priced exactly at 1000 yen, making it a good value compared to other more expensive soup curry restaurants.

I had been hearing recommendations for a local soup curry place for a while. Everyone's preferences for soup curry are different, but I decided to try this place based on recommendations from locals. I arrived a bit late for lunch, and although it seemed to be a popular spot, I was the only customer at that time. It appeared that the other customers were just using the place as a café, as no one else ordered soup curry. Since it was late, there were a few sold-out items on the menu, so I decided to go with the Jerk Chicken Curry with Creamy Shrimp Tempura topping. I also ordered a Lemon Lassi to drink, which was recommended on the menu. The Lemon Lassi arrived first and after taking a sip, I can say it was the best Lassi I've ever had. The sourness of the lemon and the refreshing taste blended perfectly in the Lassi. It was definitely worth the recommendation. As I sipped on the Lassi, the soup curry arrived and I started eating. The amount of vegetables in the curry was relatively small, but it was quite traditional. The chicken, grilled over charcoal, was plentiful and had a nice aroma with well-spiced soup. It was delicious indeed. I am grateful to the person who recommended this place. I usually prefer soup curry with lots of ingredients, but I realized that even this traditional style can be delicious. The Lassi was great, and I am curious about the lamb menu as well. One meal in Sapporo is definitely not enough!

For dinner, I visited "ZORA" for the first time! Originally, I had made a reservation at a different restaurant, but it was closed due to the soup being sold out. It would have been nice if they had informed me when I gave them my phone number. But since I had walked a lot, I decided to go to ZORA instead! ZORA offers both soup curry and roux curry, which is a unique feature. I was in the mood for roux curry, so I asked the owner if they had the "Tender Pork Loin Cutlet Curry (¥850)" available, and they did, so I ordered it with 100g of rice! Even though I wasn't really hungry since I had curry for lunch earlier!? I thought it would take a while for the dish to arrive because it was a cutlet, but it arrived in less than 10 minutes, which was speedy. Let's take a bite of the roux! The first thing I tasted was the acidity and sweetness of the tomatoes and onions. The acidity of the tomatoes was not too strong, and it was fruity and delicious! The fruity flavor was followed by the spices, and it was balanced well, making it easy for those who prefer medium spiciness to eat. The slightly grainy texture was also interesting. Even though I couldn't choose the spiciness level, I felt like I could eat a bit spicier, but the balance of sweetness, acidity, and spiciness is what makes the roux curry delicious. What surprised me even more was the thickness and the slightly pink color of the cutlet. It was crispy with a light brown coating! The meat was very tender, and the meat juices overflowed in my mouth with just a light chew! The meat had a good umami flavor, and it didn't rely too much on the fat, which was nice! It may feel oily for those who prefer a lighter type, but personally, I like the type that combines crispy texture and juiciness with plenty of fat, so it was a perfect match for me! It was so delicious for only 850 yen, unbelievable! It used to be 780 yen when they first opened, but it's still quite cheap, I can't believe it! Maybe my order was a hit because the cutlet was thicker compared to what others ordered. I should have taken a picture of the thickest cutlet on the edge in the 5th photo! It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating, even though I wasn't hungry! The spoon and fork were going non-stop, and I finished it all! The phone service was good, and I think the reason they have become so popular is not only the taste but also the polite customer service! During my first visit, I was considering the Jerk Chicken soup curry, but I changed my plans, so if I visit again, I must try that one. Thank you for the meal.

[Published in early May 2022] This popular restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 curry restaurants by Tabelog Curry Best EAST in 2020! This is my third visit to the restaurant. At 7:30 pm, about 70% of the seats were filled. The interior of the restaurant is small but has a stylish atmosphere. The service was very friendly and likable. The menu mentioned that the Jerk Chicken is grilled over charcoal, so it takes time, and it was really slow. I ended up being the last customer because they ran out of rice, and it took 27 minutes from seating to serving. If you can't wait, it's better not to order it. But the presentation is beautiful! Such a good sense of style! [Jerk Chicken 1100 yen, Level 4 spiciness, Rice 100g] [Soup] The soup was very easy to eat with no distinctive flavor. Personally, I felt like it lacked the sweetness of vegetables or onions or the punch of animal-based ingredients. As someone who prefers medium spiciness over extreme spiciness, I hesitated between Level 5 and Level 4, but Level 4 was just right, with a delicious medium spiciness. [Rice] I ended up being the last customer of the day, but the rice was in very good condition and delicious. It goes well with lemon. It was wonderful! [Ingredients] The Jerk Chicken is grilled slowly over a weak charcoal fire, creating a deliciously fragrant finish. The moderate charcoal aroma does not overpower the soup at all. It seems that they could cook it faster, but they seem to be grilling it slowly to provide the most delicious dish. It's worth the wait and highly recommended! The pumpkin was the most delicious vegetable. It had a delightful sweetness that made me feel happy. I was enchanted. The cabbage, although in small quantity, also had a good flavor. The others were average, but overall, the quality was above average. [Overall] I stopped visiting this place for lunch because the service was slow, but when I saw the menu for the Jerk Chicken curry, I remembered eating it and thought it was served quickly. My impression of the restaurant improved significantly with this Jerk Chicken curry. I had plenty of time and visited purely looking forward to it, and I realized that they are doing a very detailed and good job. Considering that you can get up to Level 6 spiciness for free even with 300g of rice, it's a great value. I was soothed by the kind personality of the owner and the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant. I had a great time and the food was delicious! Thank you for the meal♪
