New Sapporo Building 1F, 8-2-5 Higashi 10-jo, Kita, Higashi Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido. Located near Kosei-danchi in Higashi Ward, this Ton-TeKi restaurant is housed in a cool building called Sato Building. I recently discovered this Sato Building and I'm hooked. The building has several daytime eateries and night establishments like snack bars. The entrance of each store has a sign and menu boards on the walls. I was intrigued by the pork bowl for 500 yen at the entrance, but I decided to go for the Ton-TeKi. Inside the restaurant, there is an open kitchen with counter seats in front of the kitchen space. There are two 4-person tables and one 2-person table. There were already solo male customers and a group of two businessmen. Later on, more businessmen arrived, and it got crowded. I was lucky to get a table without waiting too long since the staff was handling everything alone. The Half Ton-Burger & Komaton Set Meal for 1300 yen is a limited quantity dish that includes a 150g half ton-burger and diced 100g Ton-TeKi. It was a delight to be able to enjoy both in one meal. The hamburgers and meat were pre-cooked and ready to be served in a hot iron pot. The dish was served steaming hot with a mountain of shredded cabbage, a round Ton-Burger, and diced Komaton. The Ton-Burger was juicy, with a hint of pink color and a subtle nutmeg flavor. The diced pork had a chewy texture and satisfying thickness. The soy-based sauce complemented the rice well. I opted for the free large rice portion, but the slightly watery rice seemed to lack the original rice flavor. The miso soup had onions and coarsely ground meat in it. The onions were soft and soaked in the miso broth. The lunch came with a complimentary soft drink, and I chose cola as the iced coffee was sold out. You have to eat plenty of meat, right!

☆LP☆ Weekday lunchtime. I used to frequent this LP when it was in town, so I was excited to visit again after seeing it open here in a rather deep mixed-use building. It's been a few years since I last had their food, so I'm feeling a bit nervous. Despite it being lunchtime, there are only about two groups of customers. In the kitchen, there seems to be the manager and a staff member. Looking at the menu, the prices are quite high. I don't remember it being this expensive. Maybe it's just the passage of time. Nevertheless, if it's a lunch special, it's not too bad. This place mainly serves hamburgers and steaks, so we ordered two Half & Combo Set lunches. It takes a bit of time to prepare, but when it arrives, it comes with rice and miso soup, along with a sizzling hot plate. The hamburger looks juicy and delicious. So, I start with the hamburger. It's good, but not as impressive as before. The flavor is quite strong, but it goes well with the rice. The steak isn't as tough as it looks, and it also has a strong flavor that complements the meal. However, it feels like something is missing, maybe it needs more seasoning? Overall, if you're looking for a hearty meal, it's satisfying. It's not common to find a tonkatsu restaurant in Sapporo, so I hope they can succeed in this location. Thank you for the meal!

On a certain weekday, amidst the slow improvement of traffic conditions, I visited the Sapporo Ton-Teiki restaurant located in Higashi-ku, Kitaku, Sapporo. The parking lot is shared with the building and can be difficult to find a spot in the winter. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the historic New Sapporo Higashi Building, which remains open even when surrounding businesses are closed. The interior is not very spacious, with 4 counter seats and 3 tables. Japanese pop music plays in the background. I opted for the "Komaton set meal (850 yen)" for lunch, which was reasonably priced. I ordered a large serving of rice as a side. The lunch also included a complimentary drink, so I chose an iced coffee. After a short wait, the sizzling hot pan arrived. The pork pieces were crispy and had a nice balance of lean and fatty cuts, with a sauce that brought out a sweet and savory flavor. The shredded cabbage complemented the dish well. The rice was freshly cooked and had a sticky texture, while the miso soup was hearty with plenty of ground pork. I finished the meal with the complimentary iced coffee. Overall, I felt the lunch was a good deal. Thank you for the meal.

I found out from a review by "食べ過ぎさん" that today and tomorrow, only 100 people can eat for 500 yen, so I decided to check it out. I got ticket number 83 (*^^*) The place wasn't too hard to find, only had to wait for 8 people ahead of me, so the line wasn't too long haha. The tonkatsu was thick, over 1 cm thick! Served with a generous portion of cabbage. It had some texture but was overall tender and delicious. The sauce and sliced garlic went really well with both the tonkatsu and the cabbage. The miso soup was like pork soup and really tasty. A place with delicious miso soup is always a winner, and when you mix the sauce and cabbage with mayonnaise, you can easily have another bowl of rice haha. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

For the first two days of the opening, a system was in place to receive a numbered ticket and make a payment. I received tickets numbered 5 and 6. The seats were for 14 people, and we entered in order from 1 to 14. "Tonteki" can be cooked for three people at a time. The finished "Tonteki" was also delivered in order of the numbered tickets.
