I have been going to this onigiri shop in Susukino for over 20 years. It had been a year since my last visit, and I noticed that the interior had changed. I ordered the classic tarako butter soy sauce onigiri and also the parent and child salmon roe soy sauce onigiri. I usually eat here as a late-night snack after drinking, and it tastes delicious. However, when I ate it in the early morning after waking up, it was a bit too salty... Still delicious though.

Tuna mayo (sea chicken) salt ¥320, mackerel toro (soy sauce only) ¥360, bacon and egg salt ¥400, chicken thigh karaage ¥480, total ¥1,560. Yeah, I think these three are the best. The chicken thigh karaage is delicious when freshly fried, but it's a bit salty and the greasiness of the skin is noticeable when it's not fresh.

Onigiri Series Hokkaido - When you come to Susukino in Sapporo, you just have to eat onigiri meshi more than Genghis Khan or ramen. And since I came for the tarako butter (soy sauce) finish, I also had the iwata nori miso soup. It really hits the spot. So delicious. I love it. It seems like the store has been renovated. The interior seemed smaller. Is it just my imagination???

For the sake of enjoying Genghis Khan, the night streets of Susukino are lively and fun ✨ I was planning to have a parfait as a finale, but I happened to find a rice ball shop that I wanted to try, so unexpectedly I had a rice ball for the finale! This place is open 24 hours and also offers takeout. Along with the parent-child salmon and ikura miso soup... The rice ball had a good balance of ingredients, and the salmon and ikura were undeniably delicious. It really hit the spot, reminding me that I am indeed Japanese. It was delicious~ Let's enjoy lots of delicious things tomorrow too! #RiceBall #ParfaitFinale #Susukino #NightStreets #Hokkaido #Sapporo #Ikura #RiceBallMeal

Review: I went for a morning activity in Susukino where there is a popular onigiri shop. Taste: You can choose between soy sauce and salt seasoning, and the egg yolk onigiri was especially delicious! Crowd level/wait time: I arrived around 11 o'clock. It took almost an hour to get the onigiri after being seated. Atmosphere: Cozy. Cost performance: Good, each onigiri is large and filling. Access: Convenient. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I took the first flight to New Chitose Airport and came here for breakfast. I chose the mountain wasabi cream cheese onigiri. You can choose between salt or soy sauce for the rice. I arrived around 8 AM and waited in line at the takeout counter for about 40 minutes. It was a choice I did not regret.

When it comes to the must-visit place in Susukino, it's not ramen but here! They have a variety of onigiri to choose from, making it difficult to decide. There is often a line! You can choose between salt or soy sauce as the base for the onigiri. Soy sauce base is rare! It has a nice aroma! The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) was also delicious!

Goodnight Crow, come again. In the manga by Ayumi Ikeuchi, there is a "nigiri-meshi" that appears, and the main character who works at a bar in Susukino is the focus of the story. In the manga, the onigiri from this place appears. I really wanted to eat it, so I went to have some... and it was delicious. The way it was made was skillful, the rice was fluffy and plentiful. You can choose between salt and soy sauce, but I didn't quite understand the difference. The soy sauce option means they coat the surface with soy sauce! Amazing! There are so many fillings to choose from that I couldn't decide. I thought you could only get takeout from this place based on the manga, but there were quite a few people waiting for takeout, so wait, you can actually eat in here! Of course, I also ordered a beer (*´Д`) "Mom" is the one making all the onigiri, but the other staff members are supporting her with all their might. This "mom" is tough and has her bangs perfectly in place, like a club mama or a enka singer appearing on Kohaku. In proportion to that, her antenna for the other staff is high, always giving instructions. Truly impressive. The onigiri made by "mom" swiftly and carefully is something that everyone who comes to Susukino must try. The closing onigiri. The best.

I was walking around the city when I felt a bit hungry, and then I found a rice ball shop! I love rice balls, so I went in without hesitation. The shop had counter seats and two table seats. They also offered takeout for customers outside. I ordered a salted whitebait rice ball and a mackerel toro with large shiso leaf rice ball. I also ordered a miso soup with rock seaweed and simmered pork tripe with miso. The rice balls were very big and filling. The mackerel toro with shiso leaf was made by finely shredding mackerel and mixing it with chopped shiso leaf. The rice was seasoned with soy sauce, I think. It was very delicious and I would definitely want to come back for it. The salted whitebait rice ball had a great balance of whitebait flavor and salt, and it went well with the miso soup. The simmered pork tripe with miso was cooked in a sweet sauce and the tripe was tender and tasty. Personally, I prefer less sweet dishes, but I added some shichimi spice to adjust the taste. I would love to come back again if I have the chance.

As a big fan of onigiri, I wanted to visit this shop. They have a wide variety of options, and I tried two kinds. The miso-marinated egg yolk onigiri was flavored with soy sauce, and the salted cod roe onigiri was also delicious. The onigiri were generously filled with ingredients and the miso-marinated egg yolk was addictive. The simple salted cod roe onigiri was also very good. However, because the shop is located inside the Susukino Market, there were a lot of seagulls flying around, which was a bit concerning. So, I decided to leave early. It might be better to just grab a quick takeout instead.

The miso-marinated egg yolk, tarako butter, and green tea highball went well with the soy sauce sushi. The combination of tarako butter and soy sauce sushi was also good. With so many menu options, it's always difficult to choose, but this time, my choice was a great success and I had a satisfying lunch.

I had a craving for egg yolk onigiri after catching a glimpse of it somewhere. Since I had a refined meal at the first place, I wanted to have a little bit of carbohydrates, so I invited my wife to come here. The takeout side of the restaurant had a long line, but the eat-in area was empty. The oden, motsu-nikomi, and mackerel miso were all delicious. I want to revisit with my daughter. My wife is determined to bring her sister next time.

After drinking, I felt a little hungry so I came here. They offer high-quality pickled vegetable rice balls for 330 yen. You can choose between salt and soy sauce, but I chose salt. The saltiness is just right, enhancing the deliciousness of the rice. The pickled vegetables are plentiful and have a great texture. Delicious. Even if you don't usually spend this much on rice balls, I recommend trying them when you're traveling or feeling a bit luxurious.

Recommended by a friend, I bought dinner for the flight back. The menu was extensive and the portions were large. I wish I had eaten it fresh because it would have been even more delicious. Despite some time passing, the taste and texture were still good, and the rice wasn't hard. If this place was nearby, I would definitely become a regular customer. It was not crowded that day, so I ordered and got my four items in about 5 minutes!

The night in Hokkaido was lively with a first and second party! Following Hakata, we ended the night with onigiri! We went to a restaurant recommended by someone. There are two counter seats and two table seats. We chose the table seats! Before the onigiri, we ordered the following as snacks for drinks: - Seseri ponzu - Cream stew - Potato salad - 7 types of oden - Celery kinpira The cream stew had a homely taste and the clear broth oden was excellent! And finally, the onigiri. There were options for salt and soy sauce (soy sauce rice?), and a variety of fillings. Compared to the "Omusubi Village" in Hakata, there seemed to be more unique options. After much deliberation, we ordered the following three: - Takana-wrapped mentaiko - Fatty mackerel - Mountain wasabi natto There is also a takeout window, but the service there may be a bit slow. After observing for a while, we noticed that the staff setting the rice and fillings in a bowl would pass it on to the onigiri maker for assembly. And then it was our turn! The onigiri was well-made and delicious, but be careful not to order too much as each piece is quite large. Also, there is no restroom inside the restaurant. Currently, the rating on Tabelog is 3.49.

On my way from the hotel in Susukino to Sapporo Station, I stopped by a rice ball takeout shop where some drunk customers were hanging around. It seemed like you could also eat inside the shop, so I decided to have breakfast there. I chose the bonito rice ball (280 yen) and the cod roe butter rice ball (320 yen). I was also curious about the pork miso soup (450 yen) so I ordered that as well. The rice balls were generously filled with ingredients and the rice was cooked perfectly. The miso soup had a lot of radish in it, making it a great side dish for the rice. The soup had just the right amount of pork fat floating on top, making it easy to drink with a gentle flavor. It was a good breakfast that lifted my spirits. Thank you for the meal.

During my visit in June 2023, I tried the Tarako Butter Onigiri for 300 yen and the Salmon Onigiri for 320 yen, totaling 620 yen. I arrived in Sapporo by taking a one-way ticket from the day before, and I ended up having dinner from the Seicomart at the hotel. The next morning, I went to the company from the hotel until my belongings arrived at the new base. I was hungry as I had a light dinner the night before. I searched and found this place in the Susukino Market that I pass by every time. I was curious because it turned out to be an onigiri shop! I may not be able to go to the Susukino Market with my eyes closed, but I remembered the location. When I arrived, there were men and women who seemed to have been out all night hanging around, but I ignored them and went to the storefront. They had side dishes in the showcase, and oden in a pot. I thought I could buy them and have a drink alone at the hotel! The staff didn't come out quickly, but I finally placed my order. I ordered the Tarako Butter and Salmon onigiri, and was asked if I wanted them with salt or soy sauce. Caught off guard, I asked for the Tarako Butter with salt and the Salmon with soy sauce. I was given a number tag. I left the order counter for a moment and wandered around a bit. There was another entrance next to the store, and it turned out to be a dining area or a separate shop. I waited for about 10 minutes before the staff called my number. Maybe it was a bad timing due to the morning shift change? They make the onigiri after taking the order, and after a while, a woman started making them, and I finally received my order with the number tag. Back at the hotel, I opened the onigiri and the good smell of seaweed filled the air. They were still warm. The Tarako Butter was delicious! Maybe it would have been better with soy sauce. The Salmon had a decent amount of flaked fish in it. A slightly soy-flavored rice ball. I love this. It's not as soft as "it melts in your mouth," but the gentle flakiness is delicious. Of course, it's different from convenience store onigiri because it costs 300 yen. Both the taste and satisfaction were there. I regret not buying miso soup or tonjiru.

One of the restaurants I wanted to visit in Sapporo was this rice ball shop. The rice balls made by a foreign guy working part-time here have a homemade taste and are really delicious. They are different from convenience store rice balls. I also got some to take home as souvenirs, and they were still tasty even after some time. I recommend the salted salmon rice ball. The butter flavor, mixed rice, and salmon flakes were also good.

The egg yolk miso pickled for 360 yen and the mackerel toro with large shiso leaves for 330 yen are must-try dishes when you come to Sapporo. This place is a must-visit when in Sapporo, with a more extensive menu compared to its affiliated stores in Tokyo. Personally, the mackerel toro with large shiso leaves from the Sapporo menu is my top choice! The rice balls are always fluffy and addictive. Definitely the number one rice ball shop in Japan! I wonder why the rating is so low...

I'm sorry for the photo of half-eaten food m(_ _;) Got some information from a lady from a club in Susukino. "What kind of gift do you like to receive?" Unanimously, it's onigiri from Nigirimeshi-san. And the menu is tarako butter. There was a split opinion on soy sauce and salt, but it seemed like the soy sauce fans were in the majority. So, I decided to stop by on my way back from drinking. Huh? Huh? There's a crowd at midnight (@_@) It's popular...I didn't know...I squeezed through the waiting customers and ordered the tarako butter (soy sauce) onigiri. I had to wait a bit because many people were buying quite a few. One by one, I received the onigiri and opened the wrapper to eat it! Mmm, I see! This is delicious♪ The rice seems to be cooked a bit firm. The raw tarako, and the butter & soy sauce spread on the outside. It's a great balance♪ And the size is such that even girls can easily eat two. I see, this is why the club ladies would be happy. If you're a bit hungry, you can easily eat one in the back yard and go back to your seat with a straight face (laughs). I also quickly gobbled it up. However, the price is a bit high... It's best to go eat it after losing your sense of cost-effectiveness while drunk (laughs). Anyway, it was delicious, so it's all good. And for the next club activity, I'll bring these for the cast and staff. Thank you for the meal (^o^)v
