Everyone, good day! It was unusual for my best friend to request a specific restaurant for their birthday party! So, we decided to go to "Natsubaki Main Store," one of the several branches in the city. We have reserved the omakase course for 16,500 yen (including tax). The head chef at the counter was off that day, so a substitute sushi chef from a different branch served us. First, we started with beer. Here is a summary of the dishes we enjoyed: - Simmered shrimp and taro - Three-cup vinegar jelly with hair crab (the hair crab was delicious) - Flounder and gizzard shad - Fresh scallop - Striped shrimp and corn - Live squid (small but transparent due to freshness) - Boiled squid legs - Pickled ginger mackerel - Egg - Kazunoko (herring roe) - Steamed pot with softshell turtle and pike conger eel mushroom (refreshing after the cold dishes) - Lean tuna - Grilled asparagus and baby corn - Shishamo (smelt) and silver cod - Beltfish pickled sushi - Flounder marinated in kelp - Medium fatty tuna - Scallop - Herring - Buffoon sea urchin (definitely delicious) - Salmon roe seaweed soup - Melon The dishes mostly featured local produce, sourced from various regions to capture the seasonal flavors. As a local, I didn't find anything particularly unique, but the variety of dishes allowed us to enjoy a leisurely birthday celebration. The sake and highball whiskey cocktails kept flowing, enhancing the dining experience. The sushi was not particularly memorable in the Ezo-style, but the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant made it easy to enjoy. I recommend this place for those looking to experience the seasonal delights of Hokkaido. Thank you for the feast!

I went to this restaurant in Sapporo that my friend highly recommended as the most delicious place to eat! It's convenient because you can make reservations instead of starting all at once. We started with crab in ponzu jelly. It was so delicious! Winter is definitely the season for crab. Next was shirako. It was also delicious, being in season. The menu is rich with sautéed vegetables, grilled fish, mushroom soup, and more, so you won't get bored. Also, surprisingly, salmon was served at this sushi restaurant! It was also delicious! The chu-toro was slightly frozen...? I thought for a moment, but everything else was delicious. With all this food and plenty of drinks, it cost around 20,000 yen per person, so the cost performance is quite good, I think. Thank you for the feast!

After a concert on a Sunday with limited dining options, my friend in Sapporo recommended Natsubaki, and they were right! I left it up to them and it was a great choice. The vinegar-marinated mackerel was particularly delicious, my companion even said it might be the best they've ever had. The service was excellent, and they handled any issues with care. Attention to detail was definitely on point.

We made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a regular Thursday. It was my second time visiting and my wife's first. We tried to make a reservation for Friday but it was full, so we ended up going on Thursday. The restaurant was almost full again on this day. Unlike many sushi restaurants that offer omakase courses, this place lets you choose what you want to eat, which is nice. We started with a hairy crab appetizer, followed by my favorites like cured mackerel, gizzard shad, conger eel, and grilled squid. We started with a Highball with Chita whisky and then switched to sweet potato shochu. The nigiri sushi included squid with mountain wasabi, scallop, seared Alfonsino, shrimp, and flatfish. We also had marinated bluefin tuna, which was not pictured. The fatty tuna hand roll at the end was exceptional. My wife enjoyed dishes like horse mackerel, Hokkaido abalone, sea urchin, morning-caught flatfish, marinated flatfish with kombu, and the fatty tuna hand roll twice. We drank one beer each, three Highballs with Chita whisky, and six glasses of sweet potato shochu. The total bill came to around 35,000 yen.

The atmosphere is cozy yet you can enjoy fresh Hokkaido delicacies at this sushi restaurant. They also offer Hokkaido sake. During the spring season, we enjoyed transparent live squid, pregnant shrimp, shishamo, steamed cod with pike conger, and hairy crab, all of which were delicious. The herring sashimi was impressive with its fatty texture. The sushi started with vinegar-marinated flounder, which had a fluffy texture and sweetness that stood out.

I was very surprised by the warm welcome, it didn't feel like my first time visiting at all (*^^*). We had a private room this time, but even when passing by the counter, the chefs kept welcoming us loudly! It felt really nice. I was feeling really unwell that day, suffering from a hangover that only happens about 3 times a year... I was invited for a post-birthday celebration meal and didn't want to cancel, so I went to the restaurant feeling really awful... I ended up staying for a long time and felt really sorry for inconveniencing the staff with my condition... But the restaurant and the hospitality were so wonderful that it brought tears to my eyes... (;;) It was my own fault, so I promised myself to never push myself too hard before an important meal again... The sushi came at the end, and since I couldn't eat it all, I asked to take it home. The staff kindly added extra pieces to fill the gaps when packing it up ( ´ᐞ` ) I savored every bite at home, and everything was delicious! The sushi, in particular, was amazing with large, fresh pieces that were truly delicious! I will definitely visit again once I'm feeling better to express my gratitude for their kindness. I visited on a Friday. The restaurant was almost full, it's definitely a popular place. Nowadays, many high-end sushi restaurants offer omakase courses, but I enjoyed asking the chef for recommendations and ordering while looking at the display case. The food was delicious and the drinks went down smoothly. I will definitely come back.

The Tachipon vinegar used was freshly sourced and frozen, with no hint of odor and a milky texture that was a delightful surprise. The live oysters were tender and fresh, complemented perfectly with a squeeze of lemon. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, with asparagus in butter soy sauce being a standout. The wagyu beef was grilled beautifully and paired well with red wine. The meal included sea urchin, medium fatty tuna, seared engawa, and gizzard shad, leaving me completely satisfied and my stomach and heart full.

Hokkaido Business Trip Series ①: I finally tried the sushi restaurant in Susukino that I had been curious about, and it was delicious! The local ingredients were amazing! The Hokkaido shishamo was definitely different - large, plump, and packed with delicious meat! The sushi that highlighted the ingredients was excellent!

"Sushi Natsume" on the 7th floor of a building in Susukino. The head chef is very friendly and creates a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to come back. The additional Hokkaido golden-eye snapper was delicious with its rich flavor. The menu included herring roe, crab, vinegar jelly, squid, clam, sweet shrimp, marinated mackerel, shirako (milt), mushroom steamed in a bottle, bonito, asparagus, broad beans, fresh sweet shrimp, amberjack, salmon roe, sea urchin, red miso soup, golden-eye snapper, conger eel.

I like the atmosphere of the head chef here. He gives off a sense of cleanliness and has a sporty vibe. It was a shame he wasn't there, but I still enjoyed the food and went home satisfied. The only downside was that the steamed dish seemed to be the same as last time, and the asparagus was a bit overcooked. I ate more than what is shown in the photos. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri were all carefully prepared. This time, I also had dessert. Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit again.

Natsubushi is a well-known restaurant where you can always enjoy delicious sushi and great service. In addition to fresh fish, their seasonal vegetables and meat dishes are also delicious. Although it's a shame that the owner, Osaka-san, is often busy and hard to see, I will definitely visit again.

I went on my first trip to Hokkaido. It was a last-minute decision to go on a solo trip, so I was unsure about where to eat. I made a reservation around the time of the preparation, and I believe the chef answered the phone call. The service was very polite. The meal included dried daikon radish, assorted appetizers such as horse mackerel, abalone, sardine, and crab jelly, various dishes with squid, vegetables, and a selection of sake. The sushi included herring, flounder, scallop, fatty tuna, saury, salmon roe, sea urchin, and alfonsino. The meal ended with a soup with seaweed, mushrooms, and clams to choose from. I also had about three glasses of sake. The chef and the staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable even though I was dining alone. I had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again when I travel to Hokkaido.

Introduced by a friend from Sapporo. Ordered the 10,000 yen course✨ As you can see in the photos, it offers great value. Both the chefs and the staff provided excellent service, making it a pleasant experience. The food was delicious for the price, and I will definitely be coming back again.
