The "Rich Chocolate Sandwich" was a heavy treat with chocolate bread, chocolate filling, chocolate coating, and cocoa powder. Surprisingly not too rich. The "Chocolate Pie" was a chocolate croissant filled with chocolate cream, coated in chocolate, and topped with chocolate crunch. The aroma of cocoa and various textures of chocolate made it delicious. The "Chocolate Tart (Valentine 17)" had a generous portion with 17-year-old Valentine inside. I haven't tried it, but it seems reasonably priced at under 500 yen. Also had the soft serve ice cream mix, which was delicious as always.

The Heavy Fresh Chocolate Sandwich has a delicious chocolate cream inside. It looks like a cake but it's actually bread. The bread is so tasty. They had a variety of breads made with chocolate, as well as savory options. I bought some to take out and enjoyed the 8% tax rate reduction. If you eat in, you get a 10% discount and can also enjoy free coffee. I tried the "Chocolate Croissant (Au Lait)" which was delicious with a crispy croissant filled with Royce's milk chocolate. The "Cheese Ball" was also great with plenty of Gouda and Edam cheese on soft French bread. Lastly, the "Gratin Pan" had two types of French bread with macaroni gratin on top. The canelés are described as perishable, so they should be consumed on the same day, which made me wonder if canelés are actually perishable. I was surprised to find that the outer crust was not very crispy. However, what really impressed me was the strong taste of alcohol. I have tried many canelés before, but this one had the strongest alcohol flavor. It seems that they really packed in the alcohol. The canelé is easy to eat, but I prefer a balance of crispy and chewy textures in a canelé. The chewiness inside is also impressive, and the weight is substantial. Considering the size and price (only 140 yen), the Royce canelé is definitely recommended. I would love to try it again and maybe even stock up on a few frozen ones. As for the sweet potato flavored chocolate (limited edition), it was my first time seeing it at Royce since I don't visit often in the fall. It was really surprising! It tasted just like sweet potato, with a hint of sweet potato and maple scent. It had a sophisticated and adult taste, not overly sweet, with a slight hint of alcohol. It's a treat for sweet potato lovers. I wish they sold it at more locations. I might visit the store in Higashi-Naeho next time. But I was truly impressed by the canelé! Just like the many people sitting in their cars, I faced the same fate. Nevertheless, I took a bite of the Soft Serve Mix and the chocolate was truly impressive, with a perfect balance of sweetness and a hint of bitterness. The vanilla was also not overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. The Chocolate Dots (120 yen tax included) had a generous amount of slightly bitter chocolate spray on top, which paired well with the lightly oily donut dough. The Corn Danish (180 yen tax included) had a unique flavor that reminded me of white chocolate or sweet potato, but upon closer inspection, it was indeed corn-flavored.
