Sapporo, where people have disappeared from the streets due to the state of emergency declaration. Because of this, even high-end restaurants that usually require reservations are now accepting walk-ins. Taking advantage of this situation, I have been eating out a lot recently. For dinner today, I decided to go to Tokujin Shinra-tei. Originally, I had planned to go to a different yakiniku restaurant in Susukino, but when I called on the day, they were fully booked. It seems like there are significantly more people in the city now compared to the early days of the declaration. Luckily, I managed to secure a last-minute reservation here, so I was happy. It was my first visit, so I ordered a variety of items to try. We ordered Negi-shio Gyutan (green onion salted beef tongue), Gyuu Yukke (raw beef), Kimchi, steamed cabbage, Chijimi (Korean pancake), Sagari (skirt steak), and loin. The Negi-shio Gyutan arrived first, and it was just average, nothing particularly special. The Gyuu Yukke was good, especially the sauce. The Kimchi was the most delicious dish. The steamed cabbage was also very tasty, with a delicious sauce. The Sagari was decent but too thinly sliced for my liking. The loin was flavorful and had a good amount of fat. The Chijimi was lacking in texture and flavor. Overall, the quality was average for a chain restaurant, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but the service was just okay. Overall, it's a decent place for a family or group outing, but I may not choose to visit again if I want to have really delicious yakiniku.
