The other day, I purchased a set of four different types of spicy miso hormone dishes: Rutsu pork, Shin-Kotoni Genghis Khan, Super Maboroshi, and Super Fire Fire. First, I tried the classic spicy dish, "DEATH." It was tasty. The spiciness comes a bit later after you start eating, so it's not unbearably spicy. Next, I tried "DEATH BLACK," which has a rich miso flavor and is easy to eat despite its spiciness. Then, I tried "MABOROSHI," which is quite spicy. It numbs your tongue and stings a lot. Lastly, "FIRE FIRE" has habanero and ghost pepper added, and it's so spicy that it completely overwhelms any flavor. It's so hot that it burns your tongue, but it might become addictive, haha. Thank you for the meal.

This time we had meat. It seems that there is a large amount of unsold products at the local specialty shop, so we purchased them at a low price. I made pork bowl using Rusutsu pork. The meat was tender with a light sweetness in the mild fat, and it was delicious. I will definitely shop here again.笑

My computer broke down, but I finally received a new desktop computer. I am currently in the process of transferring data, and it is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 days. Since this is my first time using Windows 10, I am struggling with the migration process. I will like and comment on posts once the migration is complete. Thank you for your understanding. In December 2018, I participated in the "Death Week 2018" event where various restaurants offered a limited-time "Black Spicy Death Ramen" using a special ingredient from a meat shop. It was a fun experience trying out different spicy ramen and winning some spicy meat as a prize. Looking forward to next year's event!

I found a new butcher shop in Shin-Kotoni on a certain TV show. It's a must-try for those who love extremely spicy food, but they also have regular meat options for those who prefer something milder. Prices are excluding tax. The Hokkaido Tokachi gyoza mini (20g x 20 pieces) is priced at 760 yen. The ginger spiciness is distinctive, and the skin is not too thick or too thin. The comparison with a popular brand is a matter of personal preference. The Sakura Yukke is priced at 580 yen. Horse meat is generally not great at this price point, but this one is decent considering it's from a butcher shop. The Shin-Kotoni Jingisukan (200g) is priced at 398 yen. It doesn't contain additives, so the flavor is not overpowering, and the meat is thinly sliced for easy consumption. The Gekikara Nan DEATH (super intense spicy miso offal) is priced at 880 yen for 50g x 5 packs. It's divided into small portions, making it suitable for various dishes like curry, ramen, fried rice, and hot pot. It's not recommended to grill it as it can be too intense. When trying it, it's best to have dairy products on hand as it can become extremely spicy and drinking water will make it worse. Overall, the Gekikara Nan DEATH is highly recommended for its versatility in different dishes.

This is a famous meat shop known for its spicy hormone dishes. I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I chose non-spicy options! They offer a great deal of 3 items for 1000 yen. The options include hormone (salt, miso) and Shin-Kotoni Jingisukan (3 items for 1080 yen). The hormone pieces were surprisingly large, so be careful when eating them. The seasoning was delicious and the generous amount of bean sprouts added a nice touch to the meal. While the quality may not be exceptional, considering the price, it was a worthwhile purchase.

In September 2015, I visited "Meat Shop Ito" for the first time. It's rare to find a place serving horse meat in Sapporo. I learned about this place from a review by a reviewer named "DGD." I visited with my usual companion after lunch on a weekday. The shop is located in the Shinkotoni area of Kita-ku, Sapporo, along the Tarukawa-dori street in Nishi 5-chome. It was a visit in the early afternoon on a weekday, with only one customer before us and none after. The meat products are packaged in bags or packs. I bought the "horse meat sashimi" and "raw lamb roll." The horse meat sashimi was frozen and came in a convenient package for enjoying at home. It had a healthy taste with lean meat. The price was 1,022 yen (including 8% consumption tax) for 100g. The raw lamb roll, however, had a taste that I personally didn't enjoy, as it lacked juiciness and had a dry texture. It cost 1,068 yen (including 8% consumption tax). The horse meat sashimi was convenient for enjoying at home and had a healthy, lean taste. While it didn't quite match up to the delicious horse meat sashimi I had in Kumamoto, it was still enjoyable. I would like to try the horse meat sashimi again next time. Thank you for the meal.

Before March 2015, my son and I came to this restaurant for a meal, but unfortunately it was closed. My son really wanted to eat Yukhoe! So, around noon, we visited again to buy it for him. My son loves Yukhoe ♬ This restaurant is open until 5pm. I learned about this place from a fellow reviewer, but due to the raw meat issue, many places, including nearby yakiniku restaurants, no longer serve Yukhoe, which is a bit sad. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, but the area behind the register seems to be a meat processing area. I wanted to order two servings of Sakura Yukhoe and horse sashimi, but since they come in blocks, I asked if they could slice it like the nearby fish market. Unfortunately, they couldn't do it. Since I didn't like the butter flavor of horse sashimi I had before, I decided to go with something else - 3 packs of Hormone for 1000 yen, which seemed like a good deal. I love Hormone, so I bought it. At dinner time, when I served the Yukhoe to my son, he was delighted and said it was delicious! We had it with the accompanying sauce, which was sweet. It was delicious and didn't have any unpleasant smell. I regret not buying more since my son was so happy. I gave him a third of it. As for the Hormone, I bought the garlic salt flavor, but it was also quite sweet. The Hormone had thick meat and a lot of fat. When we cut it with scissors after grilling it, it was easy to eat and delicious. I would love to visit this precious restaurant again when I am nearby. Thank you for the delicious meal ♬

I visited the meat shop Ito where you can buy cherry blossom horse meat sashimi in Kita-ku Shin-Kanemata. Upon arriving at the shop, I greeted the meats and started shopping right away. I bought horse sashimi, cherry blossom yukhoe, and grilled pork. Since they were frozen, they could last for a while, but I felt it would be better to consume the horse sashimi and cherry blossom yukhoe early as they are meant to be eaten raw. Over the weekend, I tasted them and the cherry blossom yukhoe was outstanding. The sesame oil flavor combined with the richness of the horse meat was delightful. The defrosting process for the cherry blossom meat seemed to have worked well, as the texture was great and it made for a perfect snack with alcohol. Although the presentation of the horse sashimi was not the best, the taste was satisfying, with a tender texture and a hint of sweetness. I tried it slightly defrosted and fully defrosted, and found that it was more delicious when fully defrosted. Both the horse sashimi and cherry blossom yukhoe had no fishy smell, a tender texture, and a light flavor that was not overwhelming. The subtle sweetness that gradually emerged as I chewed was irresistible, especially when paired with Japanese sake. I also tried it with ginger soy sauce, but the soy sauce specifically for horse sashimi enhanced the flavor even more. Despite being frozen, I was able to enjoy the horse meat sashimi to the fullest and felt satisfied. Next time, I would like to try it with garlic soy sauce. Although this shop only had frozen products, I am looking forward to trying raw horse sashimi in the future. I remember buying horse sashimi occasionally at the co-op, where it would be discounted in the evenings and I would often buy the set with lean meat and red meat. Layering the lean meat and red meat together created a texture like fatty tuna that was incredibly delicious and a favorite of mine. I suddenly realized that I hadn't had the lean meat and red meat set in years. It's sad that nowadays, it's hard to find sashimi-grade meat at any supermarket. ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ I'll ride a horse and turn it into meaty meaty goodness♪
