I revisited after a year. Last time, I asked if they could serve the salad first, but they said it's a complimentary salad and served at the end. I insisted that I wanted to start with it as I have a habit of eating vegetables first. After checking with the chef, they accommodated my request. The classic hamburger was delicious as always. I also had corn soup as part of the course, and ended with coffee. I will definitely stop by when I'm in Monbetsu on business.

On a business trip to Memanbetsu, I had my final lunch at a Western-style restaurant near the bus terminal with good reviews on Tabelog. As soon as I walked in, I could tell it was the most elegant Western-style restaurant in the area. I ordered the lunch set with a hamburger for 1400 yen. The hamburger had a rich meaty flavor and was delicious. With coffee included, I was satisfied with the taste and price. Thank you for the meal.

During my trip to Mombetsu, I discovered a highly-rated Western-style restaurant and made a reservation to visit. The interior had a lovely retro atmosphere, making me feel like I had traveled back in time. I ordered the lunch set with beef stew and shrimp fry, along with a side of corn soup. The shrimp fry was probably made with Botan shrimp and was so delicious that I devoured it completely. The beef stew was meatier than I had imagined, more like a true beef stew with only meat as the filling. The beef, which seemed to have been simmered for a long time, had a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the natural and rich sauce perfectly complemented the dish. I am curious about the hamburger steak recommended on the evening menu and would love to visit again on another gourmet trip to Mombetsu. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to Mombetsu to see the drift ice. I left Sapporo in the morning and arrived in Mombetsu at 2:30 pm. I had a sandwich on the high-speed bus, so I wanted to have something delicious to eat. I was debating between seafood and something else, and ended up choosing this place because it was close to my hotel. Since it was a holiday, they opened at 5 pm. When I walked in, all the reserved tables were marked with signs, but they told me it was fine to sit there until 7 pm. I ordered seafood fry, crab cream croquette, soup, and rice. The soup was creamy and delicious. The seafood fry came with tartar sauce, which made my husband very happy. We shared the crab cream croquette as well. The scallops were not as big as I expected, but everything was delicious. There were four staff members, and they were all efficient and attentive. It was a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

This is a cozy Western-style restaurant in Monbetsu with a retro atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing dinner. I made a reservation and was seated at a table in this popular and fully booked restaurant. Even though I was dining alone, the staff kindly guided me to my table. I was tempted by dishes like crab cream croquette, fried scallops, and pork cutlet, but finally decided on the following: - Half portion of fresh raw salmon from Lake Saroma with lemon (1,100 yen) - Hokkaido beef steak set meal (3,700 yen) with cream corn soup, Hokkaido beef steak (150g), fresh vegetable salad, choice of rice or bread, and coffee or beer (680 yen) The staff also asked about how I wanted my steak cooked, and I chose medium rare. The attentive and warm service made me feel very comfortable. I thought the quality of the food was reasonable for the price. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Monbetsu. During our trip, we visited a highly rated restaurant. Even though we had an additional person on the day of our reservation, they kindly accommodated us. They gave us a spacious table since we had children with us, which we appreciated. The food was delicious, with the steak, hamburger, and crab cream croquettes being exceptional. It was a shame that we couldn't try the oysters, as it wasn't the right season, but we will definitely come back!

The last time I visited was in 2019... it's been quite a while, but I was welcomed with a smile even though I arrived right before lunchtime. I am grateful for that. Since I don't visit often, I decided to indulge a little and had the beef stew lunch. Looking back at my past reviews on Tabelog, I realized I also had the beef stew lunch last time (oops). The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the demi-glace sauce. It's a rich, dark sauce that I haven't been able to find a close match to in other Western-style restaurants. It's a taste that can only be experienced here. It was delicious as always after such a long time. I hope this great restaurant continues to thrive.

An incredibly good restaurant. Today's lunch was a mini soup, mini salad, hamburger and fry (scallops with cream), rice, and coffee for 1,400 yen. The inside of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a brick-like design. Behind the brick, you can see an open kitchen with two veteran chefs. The utensils are well-used but shiny. The dishes are a bit lightly seasoned but very delicious. This restaurant ranks in the top 3 of all the Western-style restaurants I've been to. While in Hokkaido you may crave seafood, I highly recommend visiting this place.

This time, my business trip was to the Hokumou district. First, I aimed for Monbetsu. We encountered some delays leaving Sapporo, about an hour, but thanks to the hard work of my subordinate, we arrived in Monbetsu shortly before 1 pm. Before entering the downtown area, I searched for a restaurant called Ando, which always comes up at the top when searching for Monbetsu. With Google guiding the way, we arrived safely. Upon opening the heavy door and entering the restaurant, the interior also had a heavy atmosphere. We were seated at a table by the somewhat businesslike staff. The menu cover was also quite heavy. There were five lunch menu options ranging from 980 yen to 1,800 yen. I couldn't resist ordering the most expensive lunch set with beef stew and shrimp fry. I ordered an iced coffee as the set drink before the meal. The iced coffee arrived, served in a stylish container with the usual syrup and milk. It was well made and delicious. After a while, the rice and main dishes were served. The beef stew was served on a single plate, which was unexpected. It was a bit unclear whether it was beef stew or pork belly stewed with beef stew. The Napolitan pasta under the beef stew mixed well with the flavors. The shrimp fry was crispy and I enjoyed every part of the shrimp from head to tail. The cream croquette was good but not outstanding, and the potato fries were quite salty. The salad had a fresh taste with the vegetables being the main focus. Overall, I felt that 1,800 yen was a bit expensive. Thank you for the meal.

The seafood assortment meuniere was amazingly delicious! I was impressed by how each ingredient's flavor stood out and it was truly delicious. I wanted to order more, but since it was my first time here, I also wanted to try the fried dish... and it was also incredibly tasty. With such attention to detail, I think anything on the menu would be delicious. I ended up ordering the fried rice that the regular customers were having, and even though I was full, it was delicious until the end. Thank you very much.

Visited the restaurant on Sunday at lunchtime (12:30) for the first time. I decided to have lunch in Mombetsu and searched for a highly rated restaurant, which led me to this place. It is located on the main road on the north side of the Okhotsk Palace Hotel, and although the exterior doesn't look much like a restaurant, the interior is retro with brick walls, giving it the feel of a long-established Western-style eatery in town. I ordered the "lunch" set for ¥1,400. The meal, which was served in about 10 minutes, included soup, salad, a main dish (hamburger steak, scallop fry, cream croquette), rice, and coffee after the meal, making it a great value for the price.

Everything is homemade! The hamburger for lunch had a rich meaty flavor and was very delicious! The assorted fried seafood included oysters, scallops, and prawns. The tartar sauce was also homemade and had just the right amount of richness. The ingredients were very good quality and tasty. The raw oysters could be enjoyed with lemon or a tomato-based sauce. They were small oysters without any unpleasant taste, and I could easily finish them all. The cream croquette that came with the lunch was also very good. It was a delightful Western-style restaurant where eating made me feel happy and satisfied.

On January 12, 2022, Wednesday, I visited a popular long-established Western-style restaurant in Rumoi City, which has been open for 47 years according to the staff. It was my first visit today. The interior of the restaurant is classy with a brick and wood theme, creating a very stylish and relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen was also very clean and shiny. I ordered the "Pork Steak Teppanyaki" for 1400 yen. The thick-cut pork steak sizzled on the hot plate, topped with plenty of special demi-glace sauce. It came with a salad, all for 1400 yen, which was very reasonable. The staff paid close attention to the customers, knowing when to be present and when to give space, providing amazing customer service. There were also high-priced meats like Chateaubriand available, which I will save for a special occasion with my family. I would love to try more dishes at this restaurant, so I definitely want to visit again!

A long-established Western-style restaurant that represents Memby. I have memories of going there on special occasions when I was a child. While the prices may seem a bit high at first glance, once you taste the food, you'll be surprised by the incredible value for money considering the quality. There are five lunch menu options, but this time I ordered the Western-style pork steak teppanyaki. The thick-cut pork steak sizzles on the hot plate. On top of that, there is plenty of special demi-glace sauce. I know it's bad manners to mix the sauce with the rice at a place like this, but I can't help it. The meat is tender, and the combination of fat and sauce is perfect. It's delicious and disappears in no time. The set includes salad and coffee for 1400 yen. Still very reasonable. There was a customer ordering Chateaubriand for lunch. I envy them. I hope to try the steak someday too.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a chic brick-style interior that exuded a calm atmosphere. I looked at the menu and decided to order the lunch set menu. It included hamburger, croquette, and fried food set with soup and coffee. The soup was corn potage, rich and flavorful, typical of Hokkaido. The hamburger was juicy and flavorful, with a good balance of meaty taste and fat. The demi-glace sauce was also rich and delicious, perfect for dipping the potatoes that came with it. The croquette was a creamy crab croquette, with a smooth béchamel and delicious crab meat flavor. It was not just a hint of crab, but a true crab croquette, which was a delightful addition to the set. The fried dish was scallop fry, thick and sweet scallop that was a classic deliciousness of Mombetsu. The rice was cooked just right, slightly firm, which was also perfect. After the meal, a hot coffee was served, which was refreshing after eating fried food. This lunch set, including soup, salad, and coffee, was priced at 1400 yen, which was quite a good deal. Although I don't have many opportunities to visit Mombetsu, I would love to come back again someday.

This is the most anticipated Western-style restaurant in Monbetsu, where there are few dining options. The exterior of the restaurant is calm, and the interior has a classic feel with brick and wood accents, making it a relaxing place to be. The kitchen is spotlessly clean, and the food is delicious, surpassing the taste of mediocre city restaurants. The dishes I tried were: Hamburger Steak Set for 2,200 yen, Half Shell Oysters from Lake Saroma for 1,050 yen, Fried Monbetsu Scallops for 1,350 yen, and Tokachi Wine (white) for 1,350 yen. The atmosphere of the restaurant, the leather-bound menu book, and the inclusive tax were all delightful touches. The fresh oysters from Lake Saroma were excellent, with a cocktail sauce that I barely used because the oysters themselves were so delicious. They were sweet, fragrant, and had no off-flavors. The fried scallops were light and crispy, allowing the sweetness of the scallops to shine. The salad dressing in the set was homemade and wonderful. The corn cream soup had a nice corn aroma and richness, with homemade croutons that were crispy on the outside and moist inside. The hamburger steak had a nice sear on the outside and was juicy inside, with a delicious demi-glace sauce that had a hint of acidity and bitterness. The spaghetti underneath the hamburger had absorbed the flavors and had a nice texture. This is a must-visit spot in Monbetsu, especially for tourists, as there are few dining options in the area. I would rate this restaurant a solid 3.9 out of 5.

It's been a while since I visited Monbetsu, and whenever I think of lunch in Monbetsu, the first place that comes to mind is Ando-san's. It is a well-known long-established restaurant for locals. I was in the mood for cream croquettes, so I chose this lunch set where I saw croquettes on the menu! In addition to croquettes, it also comes with hamburger and fried items, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes in small portions. Wow, it's delicious! I love Western-style cream croquettes, and the crab flavor in this croquette is very pronounced. You can feel the texture of the crab meat and taste the broth well. It's a delicious crab cream croquette! As for the hamburger, according to my mother who has known the taste of this place longer than me, she says it has changed quite a bit over the years and she finds it a bit disappointing. Maybe it was even more delicious in the past? But the demi-glace sauce was still superb as always.

This is my last lunch of 2108. Since it's winter, I thought there would be oysters, so I visited Ando. As I expected, they had seasonal menu items like raw oysters, oyster fry, oyster sauté, oyster gratin, etc. I was torn between the oyster fry and the oyster gratin, but I decided to go for the gratin since I'll probably eat too much during New Year's. The gratin had a crispy surface and was fragrant. The sauce inside was creamy and hot. It had three small Saloma Lake oysters with mushrooms. Saloma Lake oysters are small but have a rich flavor. I plan to go back to try the oyster fry after the New Year.

On the way from Wakkanai to Abashiri, I searched for a lunch spot and made a reservation at this highly rated restaurant in Monbetsu. I arrived before the opening time, so I waited in the parking lot next door until it opened. I entered the restaurant right at 11:30 am and was seated at a table at the back. The place had an old-fashioned atmosphere, with the smell of demi-glace sauce typical of Western-style restaurants lingering in the air. Although it's a high-end place at night, the lunch menu was very reasonable, so I ordered the 1,480 yen lunch set. Everything was freshly made, and my meal was served in about 15 minutes. I started with the soup and salad, then took a bite of the hamburger, which brought back nostalgic flavors. The croquette was a crab cream croquette, and the fry was scallop. Everything was crispy and juicy - I was glad I chose this place. I ended the meal with a cup of coffee, freshly brewed without any strange bitterness. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied, thanks to the attentive service from the owner. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.
