That's why I decided to visit "Musashino Forest Coffee Asahikawa Odori Store" again. Actually, it's known as the Prince of Handkerchiefs. Just kidding!! (laughs) It was lunchtime on a holiday. Let's eat out with the family!! Recently, Taro has started joining in the conversation, saying things like, "I want to go to the sandwich shop near Toko Sports Park (referring to "Coffee Shop LIFE")," or "I don't feel like having meat today (referring to "Bikkuri Donkey")," trying to act all grown up (laughs). So, after many compromises, we settled on "Musashino Forest Coffee." I really wanted to have ramen at "Ramens Mikazuki," but I compromised, my wife compromised because "Musashino Forest Coffee" is expensive and affects our budget, and Taro compromised because he actually wanted to go to "Coffee Shop LIFE." What a family, right? The Shrimp Doria Plate (with soup) costs 1298 yen (tax included). First, let's talk about the Doria. The basic flavor with a cheese base is solid. The large shrimp, five in total, had a nice firm texture. The minestrone soup also had just the right amount of acidity. The Mont Blanc Pancake with chestnuts costs 1408 yen (tax included). The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and delicious. The chestnuts not only added sweetness but also a hint of bitterness, which was surprising. Taro was eating it up, so I only had a taste, but I'm definitely going to order it for myself next time. We visited as a family with a toddler, but the hospitality is outstanding and suitable for various situations such as girls' night out, couples, or solo dining. It's definitely a great restaurant, even though it's a bit pricey (laughs).

The breakfast rate is always high on weekends. Today, I wanted to eat vegetables and chose this menu, but I didn't really like the color of the dish. I think red would look more delicious. Also, I'm not sure if this size of paprika is the right choice? Even if I cut it in half, I don't think I'll be punished. The food looks important, so it's worth considering the color of the dish. The dish looks delicious, so it's okay♪

It was steamy hot from the morning, so I went with an iced drink from AiCo. The toast felt a bit harder than before, or maybe it was just my imagination? My daughter seemed to enjoy her ochazuke. I also tried the Frozen Dark Mocha Chip Latte, which surprisingly suited my taste. It might be nice to have it once in a while.

I came to the restaurant with a book in hand, looking for something sweet and wanting to relax. My partner and I shared a Fruit Special pancake with honey maple syrup on the side, along with a black blend coffee. The fluffy pancake was topped with a tangy sauce and a variety of fruits, making us very satisfied. It's nice to indulge in such a luxurious dessert once in a while.

I visited for the first time. I had been wanting to go there. The restaurant was very busy, and there was a wait. We also waited a bit. We felt like having fluffy pancakes, so we shared the simplest one. Even without any toppings, it was fluffy, sweet, and delicious. It just melts in your mouth. The kids were also amazed while eating. The recommended peach pancake is served cold. It looks very cute. The coffee has a refreshing aftertaste and is delicious. I had been interested in "Musashino Mori Coffee" before it opened, but due to the decrease in opportunities to visit Asahikawa because of the coronavirus, this was my first visit. Although I wanted to try the pancakes, it was before dinner so I ordered the seasonal blueberry parfait and tea. The blueberries were not sour at all - I personally prefer them a bit more sour for a better eating experience. Overall, the parfait was decent. The tea (probably Darjeeling) was really delicious. The next day, I got a loco moco and iced coffee, along with a 20-vegetable salad and iced tea for takeout to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. The salad was fresh and the ham on top was very tasty. The loco moco was lightly seasoned, which I liked. However, the forks provided for ¥10 each were not able to pierce the salad, making it difficult to eat, so next time I will bring my own fork for takeout. Since I found out that the takeout was also delicious, I plan to use it more often in the future. The staff's service was friendly and it seems like it will become one of my favorite places. Next time, I really want to go try the pancakes.

I tried the Grilled Vegetable and Melting Beef Stew Feast Plate (with soup) for ¥1580. A chain store has opened in Asahikawa. It's a coffee shop with a wide variety of menu options, including many types of pancakes. I was torn between choices but ended up choosing the Beef Stew Plate. The stew was well-cooked and delicious!

I ended up passing by the destination when I entered it into the navigation system and unexpectedly took a back road to Asahikawa. I am alone and it's been a while since I've been to Asahikawa. I thought I would arrive quickly since I left early, but I ended up taking a back road from Aibetsu and got delayed. I passed by "Musashino Mori Coffee" and decided to stop by since I'm already late. The interior is much larger than it looks from the outside. It feels like a cozy place with nice chairs for two. The background music is relaxing, with guitar tunes playing. Although I thought it was expensive, I ordered a Blue Mountain coffee and got a free morning service. I also ordered cheese toast, even though I wasn't planning to eat it. The coffee had a slight acidity that was not unpleasant, with a good balance of strength and depth. It was delicious. Can I justify the price of over 700 yen for this experience? Probably not, but I appreciated the opportunity to try it out once. I finally got a seat just before 10 AM, but I imagine it will get crowded soon. The service and menu were great, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I came to eat pancakes at a place that always has a long line and is always packed. I arrived around 6 pm today and was able to find a seat right away as there was a bit of space inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, they were sold out of French toast this time. I ordered the Musashino Forest Coffee special fluffy pancake with honey maple syrup on the side for 638 yen, plus a drink set for 352 yen. I also added toppings of fresh fruits for 220 yen and whipped cream for 275 yen. I used a coupon from the Skylark app, so I got a discount of 20 yen off each topping. It takes about 15-20 minutes to make the pancakes after ordering, and they even ask if you want your coffee before or after the meal. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quiet and relaxing, with WiFi available for those who want to browse the internet while waiting. When the pancakes arrived, the toppings were served on a separate plate, allowing you to customize how much you want to add. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and delicious, making it a must-try for pancake lovers. I can't wait to come back and try their French toast next time.

Today's takeout was from Musashino Mori Coffee Asahikawa Ooyukidori Store. I ordered the Loco Moco. The hamburger patty was a bit firm but meaty, topped with a sunny-side-up egg and salad. The side dishes included pineapple, paprika, and onions underneath the hamburger. The spicy sauce added a delicious kick to the dish.

I tried to hold it to take a picture, but it was hellishly hot. A baby would cry if they touched it. An adult might cry too because it was so hot. So... after taking the picture, I let it cool a bit. This might be the right time. It tore. It tore into small pieces, 8 slices of bread. When I tried it... it was super chewy, fluffy. Slightly sweet, with a hint of butter. A little saltiness enhances the sweetness of the bread itself. Delicious. This is really tasty. Even if it's the large size, I could probably eat it in no time. By the way, the special thing about both the large and small sizes is eating the center part of the tear bread. Only this part doesn't have a crust. I wrote my name on the waiting list and was seated at a table after about 15 minutes. I chose the Fruit Special (pancakes) set with a blend coffee. The pancakes were quite ordinary and lacked impact. The chairs in the store were low and sofa-type, creating a nice atmosphere, but it was crowded and not a relaxing space due to being a popular and talked-about place. Besides pancakes, the menu is extensive, so I would like to visit again when it's a bit calmer.

There is Wi-Fi available, the interior and seats are spacious and comfortable. You can relax here. The dishes are stylish and generous, and there are options for discounted refills on drinks. I used to think it was just a chain restaurant, but it seems like a great place to spend a leisurely time.

There was about a 10-group wait on a Sunday afternoon, but surprisingly we were seated in about 30 minutes. After some deliberation, I chose the Grilled Beef Salad Jambalaya for 1298 yen and the Fluffy Pancakes for 638 yen. I shared the pancakes with my companion. The salsa sauce that came with it wasn't as spicy as I expected. The portion size was suitable for women, but the cost performance wasn't great. However, I considered it as part of the experience. The pancakes took about 20 minutes to cook, so I ordered them halfway through. They were as fluffy as meringue, and I think women and children would enjoy them. It's worth coming here to try them. I came here on a pilgrimage to the holy land of Golden Kamuy (lol). I happened to come across Musashino Mori Coffee and was surprised. I love their pancakes, and I used to visit their Sapporo branch. I didn't realize they had a branch in Asahikawa too! I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up choosing the simple fluffy pancakes. They were topped with fruits, whipped cream, and sauce poured over them. Mmm! These fluffy pancakes are just irresistible. I usually don't like them too fluffy because of the eggy smell, but these were delicious! The peach iced tea was also tasty. Thank you for the meal! I was so happy to be able to eat them in Asahikawa too!

09/21/22 Taking a mini getaway during my vacation and going solo. Today feels like a summer vacation out of season. However, my town is in a specific control area for troublesome individuals. My high school daughter is having online classes in the living room. She doesn't seem to be able to concentrate with me around. Alright, I'll go out somewhere. Trying to find a place to hang out, I arrived here. I entered at 9:27, but it was already a waiting situation (surprise). I heard it was a popular place, but I didn't expect this! I was seated after waiting for a little over 10 minutes. I ordered a blend coffee. Of course, it comes with a free morning service until 10:30. I chose one that seemed to be filling from the four options. But the staff didn't really recommend it actively. The blend arrived shortly. Oh, the cup is quite big! This should keep me occupied for a while. Soon, toast and boiled egg also arrived. Let's dig in. First, I sip the blend. Hmm, it's a tasty coffee without any strong flavor. The complimentary toast and boiled egg are also good. As expected from a restaurant under the "Skylark" group. The prices are reasonable too, this is great. I spent 90 minutes here today. The restaurant is spacious and well-prepared for troublesome individual measures. I had a very comfortable time. There is ample parking space too, perfect for times like this. When I don't have a place at home, I'll definitely come back here... (tears).

I was particularly interested in their pancakes, even though I don't usually like sweet things. I wanted to change the concept of pancakes being the same as hotcakes. I also enjoy French toast and crepes. The café also offers a variety of light meals, such as sandwiches, muffins, and galettes, which I found quite satisfying. The café also has a good selection of salad plates and pasta dishes. They offer hearty meals like hamburgers, loco moco, omurice, and gratin. The drink menu is extensive, with a wide variety of coffees, teas, and sweet drinks. I was interested in trying their tear-and-share bread, but it was only available for takeout as it is frozen. I also tried their frozen peach and frozen dark mocha chip latte, both of which were delicious. The peach flavor was rich, while the dark mocha had a more subtle sweetness. Unfortunately, the ice in the drinks was a bit too large due to a machine malfunction, but the manager apologized sincerely for the inconvenience. I also tried their Eggs Benedict plate for the first time, and it was delicious. The poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on an English muffin were a perfect combination. The French toast was also excellent, with a fluffy and creamy texture. Overall, I had a great experience at this café and would definitely consider going back.

It was a Sunday, so the inside of the shop was quite lively. There were solo customers, families, couples, friends of all ages visiting. The natural and refreshing atmosphere was spreading. I had a frappe first, and it made me feel like I was at Godiva. I was satisfied thinking, "Oh, they can make it this good here." Then the crepe arrived. It had a taste that made me want to add another drink, with the sweet and sourness of the berries creating a holiday vibe. I didn't try the pancakes here (bitter smile), but I definitely want to try them next time. There was a wonderful female staff member with great hospitality. I recommend this shop ^^
