Luxurious Crab Lunch: 6,820 yen Sashimi of snow crab and king crab Grilled king crab Steamed king crab dumplings King crab chawanmushi Crab cream croquette Live sushi of king crab Crab miso soup Sorbet Crab shabu-shabu addition: 6,050 yen per person On the second day of my trip to Sapporo, I decided to have a crab lunch. I went to a restaurant called Hyosetsu no Mon and opted for the 7,000 yen lunch course with an additional crab shabu-shabu. The course started with sashimi, and let me tell you, the snow crab and king crab sashimi were both incredibly tender and delicious. I was blown away from the very beginning. Next was the king crab body. The meat was concentrated with flavor and incredibly tasty. It was a real treat. Then came the steamed king crab, which was plump and bursting with sweetness and flavor. The texture was amazing, with a perfect balance of firmness and juiciness. The crab cream croquette was a classic dish with a straightforward tomato sauce that complemented the crab perfectly. The tomato sauce was tangy and really brought out the flavor of the crab. And then, the crab shabu-shabu that I added. It was absolutely divine. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the crab meat was tender and sweet. It was a match made in heaven. I also had the live sushi of king crab, which literally melted in my mouth. It was a unique and delightful experience. Overall, the lunch course was a great value for the quality and quantity of food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very pleasant. I left feeling completely satisfied and would highly recommend this crab restaurant.

Do you like crab? I love it. I thought I could go without a reservation to this big restaurant, but I was turned away last time, so this is my revenge visit. This time, I made a reservation for the "Memories Course." We were led to a private room with a small garden attached, creating a lovely atmosphere. We started with a corn tofu appetizer, light and sweet in flavor. Then came the ice bowl with king crab, button shrimp, and sea bream. The king crab was rich, sweet, and absolutely delightful. The wasabi that came with it wasn't to my liking, but all the sashimi was delicious. Next up was the grilled crab. This was the best...!!! The huge legs of king crab were grilled to perfection, with a wonderful aroma filling the air. The meat was tender and flavorful, a truly amazing dish. Then came the shabu-shabu. I prefer my crab rare, so I only briefly cooked it, but even slightly cooked, it was delicious. Followed by the steamed crab, infused with a hint of hinoki fragrance, creating a gentle and flavorful dish. The sweetness of the crab was beautifully captured. The crab cream soup in a pie crust was just okay, lacking in crab flavor. And then, the crab tempura. Despite feeling quite full by this point, it was excellent. And finally, the seared crab sushi arrived. It had a great aroma, perfect searing, and a wonderful texture, but it was a bit cold from being prepared in the kitchen. The dessert was melon, surprisingly sweet and delicious. A feast of crab, crab, crab - a truly happy time. It's rare to have such a crab-filled experience. This restaurant is a paradise for crab lovers! Thank you for the meal. Crab heaven at its finest. [Ice and Snow Gate]

I visited the restaurant for a group trip's social gathering. I had a course meal of king crab. It included sashimi, grilled crab, boiled crab, hot pot, fried dishes, and more, but boiled crab was the most delicious. For the final dish, they made crab porridge with the leftover crab from the hot pot. Without the meat, it would just be egg porridge. Personally, I prefer snow crab or king crab over king crab.

I enjoyed a variety of crab dishes at this restaurant and didn't get tired of them. It was the first time I didn't get bored with a crab course like this. They also had a wide selection of drinks, which helped keep things interesting. The service seemed to be provided by college students, so I didn't have high expectations, but I'll cut them some slack because they're young!

I called ahead to reserve a table at this restaurant before coming. I ordered the luxurious crab lunch (6820 yen). The atmosphere was nice and quiet, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. The crab cream and steamed king crab were especially delicious, and I left feeling very satisfied and full.

On my first visit to Sapporo, I decided to try delicious crab, so I went to a long-established restaurant that specializes in taraba crab dishes, founded in 1964. They aim to serve the most delicious taraba crab in the country. I tried their best Hokkaido experience course, which included taraba crab sashimi, charcoal-grilled crab, shabu-shabu, tempura, and seared sushi, all of which were delicious. The hair crab, weighing 500g, was also enjoyable to eat. I paired the meal with Sapporo Classic beer and Japanese sake (Chitose Tsuru nama super spicy), and I was very satisfied.

According to the bookmark found on the seat, the restaurant started serving Taraba crabs that were originally caught as bycatch in cod fishing nets. They use only live Taraba crabs for their dishes, which are only available during certain seasons. While it used to be Mr. Nakai who would prepare the crab meat, now customers have to pick the hairy crabs themselves, which can be painful. Taraba crabs have a thick body and provide a satisfying meal.

I really wanted to eat both snow crab and king crab, so I was looking for a place that served them. By chance, I had a conversation with a wholesaler who used to sell crabs, and he recommended this restaurant to me. Since I was on a trip to Hokkaido and really wanted to try both snow crab and king crab, I decided to splurge on the Premium Three Crab Course. First, we had sashimi of snow crab and king crab, which was sweet and chewy. Next, we had grilled king crab legs, which had a delicious aroma. The shabu-shabu was made with king crab legs in a delicate broth, and it was juicy. Finally, we had steamed hairy crab, where we carefully scooped out the rich crab miso and savored the meat. The tempura of king crab and vegetables was also delicious, but by this point, I was quite full. We finished with a porridge made with the remaining shabu-shabu broth. In conclusion, choosing this restaurant was a great decision. We were able to enjoy crab to our heart's content in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Although it was a bit pricey, I believe it was definitely worth it. Thank you for the feast!

A year-end treat at the Ice and Snow Gate: Snow Crab Course for 14,960 yen. This course offers a variety of snow crab dishes including sashimi, steamed, grilled, fried, and shabu-shabu. I was completely satisfied with the delicious snow crab. The shabu-shabu broth was tasty, and I ended up getting a refill of the udon broth. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Located right in the heart of Susukino, this crab specialty restaurant is always crowded with tourists, representing Sapporo. This was my first time using it for lunch, and as expected, it was busy. I was torn between the crab shabu-shabu course and the "Luxury Crab Lunch" priced at 6,820 yen, but I couldn't resist the urge to try both raw and grilled crab. The sashimi was so sweet and tender that I wanted to keep eating it forever. The grilled crab had a wonderful aroma, and squeezing lemon over it was a perfect match. I wanted to try eating a whole leg of the steamed king crab, and I was impressed by both the eating method and the taste. Every dish was delicious, especially the crab cream croquette, which was outstanding. It was a crab feast that made me feel truly happy.

On the last night in Sapporo, I visited my favorite crab restaurant. After enjoying a roast beef bowl in Furano and taking a long walk, I soaked in a hot bath at the hotel to prepare for dinner. I was starving. I started with a cold beer and then ordered the special crab course. The meal began with fresh sashimi, which was delicious. The grilled crab was mouthwatering. The crab shabu-shabu was also tasty. The crab tempura was too good to resist. The steamed crab was flavorful. The crab pie was amazing. And the crab sushi was the best. I paired the meal with a dry Hokkaido sake and had multiple lemon sours as chasers. It was another fantastic dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited the restaurant Hyoetsu no Mon in Hokkaido, which specializes in crab shabu-shabu. I went there for dinner during a group trip, so I'm not sure about the budget, but we had the crab shabu-shabu course. We were seated in a spacious room with tatami mats, but there were also chairs and tables available, so we could enjoy our meal comfortably without straining our legs. The amount of crab served was incredibly generous, enough to fill up the stomachs of the men in our group. Eating the thick crab legs was a delightful experience, and we were all very happy during the meal!

Visited Sapporo for a Pokémon GO event. When in Hokkaido, you have to have crab, right? There are so many shops to choose from, it's hard to decide. So, I looked at the reviews and photos on Tabelog and made my decision. On the day (8/5), the temperature was between 22-23 degrees, already feeling like early autumn. But there was a lively event in the city with many food stalls set up on the streets. This time, I ordered the most modest "Taraba crab thick slice shabu-shabu course." Everything was delicious, the dishes were beautiful, and it really lifted my spirits. The young lady who served us was very cheerful and even engaged in conversation with us, an older couple. Thank you. We also tried the crab croquette she recommended, and it was also very tasty. We enjoyed various ways of eating crab and left very satisfied. I didn't give a perfect score because I can't go back so soon (haha). Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I ordered the Taraba crab thick-cut shabu-shabu course, but I forgot to take a picture of the main dish, the crab shabu-shabu. It was my first time trying Taraba crab shabu-shabu, and the texture was amazing. It was like biting into a crunchy and juicy piece. The service was excellent. I usually get tired of overly formal or overly attentive service, but the staff here had a soft and comforting approach that didn't feel burdensome. The history of the company displayed on the table was interesting. It made me understand the name of the restaurant better. I appreciate the effort put into catching the crabs in the Bering Sea. The restaurant also had interesting touches like using customer-written words as signage. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had crab for my birthday celebration. I ordered the Taraba crab shabu-shabu course (12,980 yen). The sashimi was sweet and melt-in-your-mouth. Next was the grilled crab. The staff grilled it for us, and it was so delicious and fragrant. The shabu-shabu was thick and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. Personally, I think the grilled crab was the most delicious. Since it was my birthday, they also prepared a present for me, a mirror with lots of Royce chocolates inside. It was fun to break it open as part of the celebration.

Luxurious crab lunch in April 2022 for 6,820 yen in the heart of Susukino, a crab specialty store representing Sapporo, established in Showa 39. Popular among out-of-town tourists! A little extravagant but worth it crab festival (ノ*>∀<)ノ♡ Private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables for a sense of privacy, but the doors are wide open for ventilation (-∀-`; )ウーン Lunch last order at 2 pm. There are 4 types of cost-effective courses, and the crab shabu-shabu is also enticing, but for common folks who want to bite into a big crab, the dream is to indulge in the "Luxurious Crab Lunch" for 6,820 yen. The meal includes: sashimi (red king crab/snow crab), grilled crab with miso, steamed crab dumplings, steamed red king crab, crab chawanmushi, crab cream croquette, snow crab sushi, crab miso soup, and yuzu sherbet for dessert. We used a hot pepper coupon and enjoyed white wine. Starting with the sashimi, the unique texture of fresh crab and the fragrant grilled crab were satisfying. The steamed red king crab fulfilled my dream of eating a whole leg. The snow crab dumplings were nothing special. The sweet chawanmushi was filled with plenty of crab meat. The crab cream croquette was hot, creamy, and delicious. The snow crab sushi was excellent. The crab miso soup with a hint of crab flavor was satisfying in small portions. The yuzu sherbet refreshed our palates. Overall, the dishes with whole crab were delicious, while the crab-based dishes were just average. Someday, I want to eat crab until I'm full! Thank you for the feast! (^ω^)

This is the place to go when you want to eat all the crab you can. The delicious crab dishes were so good that I couldn't get enough. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, with mostly private rooms so we could eat without worrying about others. The crab meat was all large and satisfying to eat.

【Visit on December 19, 2021】In 2021, it was a double anniversary year for us, celebrating our parents' 50th wedding anniversary and our 10th wedding anniversary. About a year and a half ago, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit hard, my mother was excitedly talking about how 50 years and 10 years coincide in the same year, and how we should celebrate in a grand way. Although the situation with the virus has improved in Japan, both our parents and us continue to be cautious and follow infection prevention measures in our daily lives. Originally, we had planned to go on a hot spring trip, but instead, we celebrated at "Hyosetsu no Mon." We made a reservation in advance for the "Whole Live Crab Course (tax included 10,780 yen) for 4 people." The course included the following: - Appetizer: Chef's choice - Sashimi: King crab, snow crab - Hot Pot: King crab, snow crab, vegetables, tofu crab sukiyaki - Steamed Dish: Whole live crab (about 400g) steamed in a steamer ★ Served with rice, mix crab miso with rice and a little soy sauce. - Fried Dish: Fried dish wrapped in yuba with snow crab meat - Meal: Udon noodles - Dessert: Sorbet They even prepared a toy mirror breaking (chocolate inside) and a spinning top without any prior request. They also kindly prepared the live crab in a way that was easy for my father, who has paralysis in his dominant hand, to eat. The service was impeccable, and both our parents were very pleased. The food was also delicious. (^q^) I turned 50 this year (2022), and I am truly impressed by the milestone of a 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations, Mom and Dad! #Sapporo Chuo-ku Gourmet #Susukino Gourmet #Hyosetsu no Mon #Crab specialty restaurant #King crab #Snow crab #Live crab #Double anniversary #50th wedding anniversary #10th wedding anniversary #Congratulations to both

I had a meeting at a crab restaurant near Susukino Station (°▽°) It was incredibly delicious, and the private rooms were perfect for meetings or sightseeing (´∀`) It's a high-end restaurant, but you can also add all-you-can-drink options (^-^) They also have a smoking area. The restaurant, called "Hyosetsu no Mon," serves dishes using live hairy crabs, from individual items to course meals. They also offer Hokkaido-produced sake that pairs well with crab dishes. The elegant interior includes private rooms with stages. There are over 10 private rooms to choose from, including sunken kotatsu tables and tatami rooms. The entrance is perfectly separated by sliding doors. They accommodate groups of 2 or more. There is also a large hall available for use.

On the first day of my bullet trip to Hokkaido, I went to Sapporo and tried crab dishes. Before departing, I did some research and visited Hyosetsu no Mon. I had Taraba crab, Zuwai crab, and crab cream croquette. As a big fan of crab, I was amazed by how delicious the crab was. The grilled crab was fantastic, but the crab cream croquette from the crab shop was exceptional. I wanted to eat multiple pieces of it. The service was also excellent and very polite. When I ordered a bottled beer, they served me draft beer instead. (laughs) I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
