Seicomart is the most popular convenience store in Hokkaido. They have a store-cooked meal section called Hot Chef, which serves delicious dishes. However, not all Seicomart stores have Hot Chef, and the one I visited didn't. I bought the following items: Creamy Carbonara for 128 yen, Oyocharyoku for 148 yen, Spicy Pickled Chinese Cabbage for 170 yen, Sorachi 1984 for 254 yen, Kitano Yutaka 210 for 140 yen, Cut Green Apple for 158 yen. I was surprised by the quality of the Carbonara for 128 yen. Just heat it up in the microwave and it's perfect for snacking with beer. Seicomart is truly amazing.

Secoma dried fish salt ramen (110 yen), Secoma clam broth soy sauce ramen (110 yen), Secoma mountain wasabi salt ramen (110 yen), Secoma Hokkaido kelp broth udon (110 yen). I visited Seicomart to stock up on late-night snacks for when I get hungry. This store is directly connected to ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel. Among the lineup of local gourmet snacks such as chikuwa bread and snacks made with Hokkaido potatoes, I found Seikoma's original brand of cup noodles. There were a wide variety of options covering the entire shelf, and I couldn't buy and eat them all, so I reluctantly narrowed it down to the dried fish salt ramen to be enjoyed with sprinkles, the clam broth soy sauce ramen made with Hokkaido scallop broth, the mountain wasabi salt ramen with a strong wasabi aroma from Hokkaido, and the Hokkaido kelp broth udon made with Hokkaido kelp extract. All of them were new and unique flavors, and each one was delicious. And all of them were only 110 yen each. I don't usually post about convenience stores, but in this case, it's a record of local gourmet items from a local convenience store, so I'm sharing this post.

I have decided to buy my lunch here. I feel like my bento often lacks vegetables, so I purchased the 100 yen vegetable series which undergoes subtle seasonal changes. Today, I got a cabbage and steamed chicken salad along with bamboo chicken, which is a chicken lover's dream♪ (By the way, my bento also had chicken fry). Regular convenience stores don't offer these affordable and compact salads, so it's a bit inconvenient. Seicomart is truly convenient. The taste is just like a regular salad, nothing special, but it's a flavor you can enjoy every day without getting tired of it. Normal is the best. I will definitely come back.

I visited a local chain convenience store called Seicomart in Hokkaido during my trip in November 2018. It was my first time in Hokkaido and I was excited to try the unique offerings at Seicomart. The store had a variety of Hokkaido specialties like Zangi, Soft Katsugen, and Sapporo Classic beer. I also tried the popular Bacon Okaka and Cheese Okaka onigiri recommended by a friend. I enjoyed a simple hotel room meal with Sapporo Classic beer and various snacks. The next morning, I had Soft Katsugen and Chikuwa Pan for breakfast, another local favorite. I returned to Seicomart the following evening to purchase Sapporo Classic beer, Tokachi Brandy Highball, and Salt Zangi for another enjoyable night in Hokkaido. It was a delightful experience exploring Hokkaido through the unique offerings at Seicomart.

Because it's Seicomart, I thought there would be a lot of Hokkaido wine, but they actually have a wide selection from around the world. I found my favorite here - it's delicious!

I was happy to go there because I wanted to see it once. There were a lot of unusual breads.

On the second day of my trip to Hokkaido, I had some free time in the evening, so I was looking forward to visiting Starbucks and the local convenience store, Seicomart, in Sapporo. As a side note, I have visited all Starbucks in the Tokai region! On this day, I also visited five Starbucks stores. Among them, I visited Seicomart as well. The local vibe there was irresistible! It's something you can only experience in Hokkaido, and that's what makes it so great! This time, I tried the chikuwa bread, which is a bread with tuna stuffed in chikuwa, crossing the boundaries of bread genre. But somehow, it surprisingly goes well with bread! I also tried the cold ramen cup (soy sauce flavor), which was reasonably priced and had a good balance of broth and noodles. As big convenience store chains continue to dominate, the local charm of convenience stores is disappearing. I hope Seicomart continues to do well! Other places I visited on this day include Gold Stone Cafe, Shiroi Koibito Park Soft Cream House, and Shibetsu Barbecue Hanare.

After arriving in Sapporo, I didn't have time for a leisurely lunch, so I decided to get a bento box from Seicomart. The bento box is cooked in-store, so it was warm. This time, I bought a katsudon. It was warm, of course. The katsu, soaked in broth, was delicious with its sweet and savory flavor! The scrambled egg also absorbed the broth well and was delicious. Even though it was a convenience store bento, it was surprisingly delicious! I didn't have much time, so I quickly ate it, but it was a very satisfying katsudon. Thank you for the meal!

This is in Hokkaido. It's in Sapporo. On the first floor of the ANA Hotel in Sapporo (now ANA Crowne Plaza?), there was this shop. I originally planned to just buy some tea, but as I casually looked at the shelves filled with products, I found a variety of items not often seen outside of Hokkaido. Plus, it's a convenience store... Seicomart... There were plenty of original products, so I ended up buying various items. The Haskap ice candy had just the right amount of acidity, not too strong or too weak, quite delicious. The mountain wasabi snack I bought on a whim surprisingly had a strong wasabi flavor, and once I started eating, I couldn't stop. I wish there was a Seicomart in Osaka too!!!

This is a convenience store located on the first floor of ANA Crown Plaza Sapporo. During my trip to Sapporo, I planned to eat a lot during lunch and dinner, so I decided not to include breakfast at the hotel and instead rely on this convenience store. They make onigiri and bento boxes in the store, and I heard that they cook the rice on site as well. I was able to buy freshly made onigiri with hot rice in the morning. They are quite large, so I think one would be enough to fill up a woman's stomach. The seasoning and shaping of the onigiri were definitely much more delicious than regular convenience store onigiri. Oh, I wish Seicomart could do the same in Tokyo or near my place. There is also an entrance facing the road, and most of the customers were commuters and students from outside rather than hotel guests.

Every time I come to Hokkaido, I rely heavily on Seicomart, a local convenience store chain with the highest customer satisfaction in Japan. This time, I visited the store on the first floor of the Sapporo ANA Hotel every day and got water, ice, canned coffee, snacks, and more. The highlight is the "Hot Chef," a large onigiri made in the in-store kitchen where they cook the rice. One morning, around 6:30 am, I asked the kitchen lady if she was about to start making them, and she said yes. I went back around 7 am and successfully got the Bacon Okaka for 174 yen. The other types were already in the warming case, but this one was freshly made. I also bought a Wasabi Soy Sauce Pickled Onigiri (delivery item) for 100 yen, which a friend had requested. This was my third time having the warm Bacon Okaka, and it's still delicious. The slightly sweet and savory flavor of the okaka and bacon goes well with the rice. Bacon and bonito flakes are both smoked, so maybe that's why they complement each other. My friend enjoyed the Wasabi Soy Sauce Pickled Onigiri as well. This experience led me to visit Hokkaido Foodist in Yaesu, Tokyo, shortly after relocating and renewing, but that's a story for another review.

Every time I come to Hokkaido, I always rely on Seikoma, the local convenience store with the highest customer satisfaction in the country. It's amazing that you can find it everywhere, even on islands like Rishiri. The onigiri and bento boxes cooked in the in-store kitchen named Hot Chef are amazing. This time, I used the store on the first floor of the Sapporo ANA Hotel. They also have Hot Chef there. During my two-night stay, I purchased Hot Chef onigiri (salmon, spicy cod roe mayo), delivered onigiri (mountain wasabi, etc.), various snacks (dried fish, bonito beans), Kyojyo water, Sapporo Beer Classic, and more. The Hot Chef onigiri was sold around 6 am. Although they usually have variations like bacon okaka, salmon butter soy sauce, pork cutlet soy sauce & wasabi, when I visited, they only had the two mentioned above. Still, the large, freshly made onigiri was delicious. Other products are also items that are difficult to find unless you are in the local area. I hope this convenience store chain will expand to Tokyo.

First visit. Rice ball with cod roe. Green tea. Total cost was 368 yen. Additionally, purchased bacon and bonito flakes for 208 yen, and fried chicken for 300 yen. The fried chicken is just like regular fried chicken. It's delicious. The cod roe was evenly distributed throughout. The rice ball was nice and warm, quite tasty. Thank you for the meal.
